This place is amazing...I just wish I would've found out about it sooner! i did my bridal pampering here a couple of days before the wedding and enjoyed every moment. Very rushed experience. As I booked a bridal party of 6. I was told through email we would receive 2 complimentary bottles of champagne because of our party of 6. Then when I was called to confirm my appointment the day before I was told we would only receive one due to 2 of our guest were pregnant. Half of our party wasn't offered to change into gowns and 3 of the girls schedules 60 min massage and was given 40 mins. Also some massage rooms were outside the spa in hotel rooms. Lastly due to covid we were placed in a conference room in the hotel due to COVID restriction. I would not recommend this place. Not what I was expecting. read more

They were helpful and knowledgeable of all products and services. Lauren and Trudy provided massages that relieved our problem areas. Lauren really helped my aching shoulders/lower back pain. Trudy helped my Mother discover Arnica and worked well to care around my Mother's recent back surgery. Our services ended with the beautiful, kind Maria & Milli. Five stars for amazing customer service. I unfortunately had a manicure that did not last despite it being a gel manicure. Other than that I loved the spa. I actually felt relaxed during my manicure. That never happens. Anyway, after I wrote my initial review the owner messaged me on yelp and wanted to make things right and wanted me to call. I was still traveling and working and never got around to calling. The salon then called me a few weeks later and wanted to refund me. Never once have I had a salon do that. This place has gone way down hill since last time I was there. The pedicure chairs were broken. I asked for lotion after my shower and they said they would have to find some, then never brought any. Owners were nice and accommodating to a last min add on service, but receptionist was less than accommodating. Massage and facial were good mani and pedicure were standard. read more

If you are visiting New Orleans and need a spa treatment, this place is definitely a great place to go! Their waxing and pedicures are great (although a bit expensive by NOLA standards). If you live in the city, it is a bit overpriced compared to other places AND I found that I was less pleased with the place each time I went. Came to Spa Aria for the bachelorette party package. This place is so relaxing and the staff is extremely kind and friendly. We each had a 30 minute massage along with a manicure and pedicure. The massage was very relaxing and the staff accommodated our every need. Our party had to fly out directly after our massages and the staff was kind enough to allow us time to shower after our massage and before the Mani/pedi. Wow what a terrible spa. I can only speak for the manicure/pedicure aspect because I did not get a massage. Typically, you go to a spa to escape and relax - you can not do that here. It is small, dirty, and the staff is terrible. I walked in and the receptionist was on the phone - he did acknowledge that I was standing there, but several staff walked by and did not offer to assist. Finally, after two other guests came in behind me, someone came up and took me back - just to get me out of the way. Asked what my name was and left. Did not offer me water/refreshments of any kind. I've had better reception at the local nail salon. Then I had to wait for 10-15 minutes for my technician to finish up her current client, which I didn't mind because I leisurely picked out my color. When it was my turn, the nail technician was shaky and rushed. She cut my cuticle and I bled. She was sick and kept blowing her nose into her shirt (gross!!) and took time outs to really blow/dig in her nose with a tissue right in front of me! Lady, you are touching my hands with yours, you are blowing bacteria into the air, if you are that sick don't come to work - *Management, if your employee is that sick do not make them come in! You will lose clients. She gave me the worst hand/arm massage I have ever had (that is usually everyone's favorite part, and the technician's opportunity to shine!). No pressure was applied, and she just basically rubbed lotion into my skin and made a snarky comment about how my skin was so dry is was just "drinking up all the lotion." Yes, I realize it's dry, probably due to the 20 degree weather and wind outside, but thank you for making me feel self-conscious. When I went to leave the receptionist was on the phone again, but did actually put them on hold to get me out of there. I opted to put everything on my room charge, which resulted in extra fees but I didn't care. There was a blaring sign saying how they preferred cash gratuity and that there would be extra fees associated with putting services on your room. Yes, everyone prefers cash gratuity - but how tacky can you be?!! Overall, it was an extremely disappointing experience. I have been wanting to stay at the Monteleone for years and made it a priority to experience their salon. My gel nail polish is already chipping and it hasn't even been a week. Spa Aria definitely needs a overhaul and I would recommend you go anywhere else but here. read more

My dad offered to take me shopping in the French Quarter for my birthday so I took it upon myself to make a pedicure appointment. I needed to find a facility that wouldn't be clouded with chemicals because I was pregnant. I figured this spa would do the trick and hopefully have a few chemical free nail polish options as well. Spa Aria fit the bill and was able to squeeze me in to their schedule with a few days' notice. I thoroughly enjoyed my mini pedi. It was the highlight of my day to sit in the massage chair and finally have my toes shine. The spa area was very relaxing, and the staff was nice. They displayed a wall of interesting products but I didn't have to time to navigate through them. I would definitely come back if my dad would offer. read more

Ambiance and staff and facilities : 5 Stars Shellac Manicure : 2 Stars Beautiful place! Super nice staff! If only the manicure had been better! As someone who uses their hands a lot, I can't keep a regular manicure on for more than a day. But CND shellac manicures will stay on for at least 2 weeks for me. Spa Aria had all the correct equipment for CND - including some of the newest colors. But the execution was poor. To start the manicurist almost started painting my nails with all my nails at different lengths. I asked her if she could trim them all down to the same length and she seemed miffed that I would ask for this. They were pretty grossly different in length. Also she did not ask if I preferred an oval or a square filed tip. The polish was applied and cured correctly with the exception of the area around the cuticles and skin. The manicurist was sloppy and some of the polish got on the skin around the base and side of the nail. This is no good with shellac because it makes the bases peel. It didn't look that sloppy right away but once the polish started to come away from the skin and peel, it was very obvious. She did a great job with the tips however, which are all still intact, but I've had to peel away the polish at the base of nails and it is uneven and doesn't look as well. True to CND Shellac, the rest of the shellac looks great and shiny even 1.5 weeks later. read more

A special, heart felt thanks to Ted at Spa Aria for helping me heal back pain. While visiting the French Quarter earlier this month, I through out my back and not knowing where to turn for relief, I made a 45 minute appointment with Ted at Spa Aria and he fixed me up. I was actually able to move and meet with friends later that evening. A second appointment with Ted the following day put everything right and allowed me to have the rest of my vacation pain free. The stretching and breathing along with meditation exercise worked wonders on the pain that I had been in. After returning home, I took Ted's advice of looking into some stretching classes and this too has been a big boon to my well being. Thank you! read more

Came in for a 1 hr massage. I could tell my masseuse was very experienced and knew just how much pressure to use to work out the kinks. Came out feeling very relaxed with very little soreness. Rates are very reasonable for the FQ, and aromatherapy is included. Wish I had known at the time they have a discount for locals, but live and learn. If you're staying on Canal St, I'd walk over to Aria to save ~$50 off what the Ritz would charge. read more

This place is relaxing! As soon as you walk in the door the fresh smells in the air will calm you. I only had a shellac manicure that turned out nicely. No paint in my cuticles! The staff is nicely dressed, clean, friendly, welcoming, and do not force a conversation. When I walked to the back for my manicure I saw everyone else and their treatments and immediately wanted to max my card out. Each person that emerged from from a massage looked blissful. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Next time I am in NOLA i will have to come for a massage. They also have great packages for bridal parties. I had a Swedish massage with Brigette McCain at Spa Aria and it was the best massage experience I've had. I've had many massages, but Brigette's I can say hands down was the best--extremely relaxing and yet invigorating--I was relaxed, but not drowsy-relaxed, more like rejuvenated-relaxed. I walked out of there feeling like a new gal! She's also a reflexologist so not only did she give an amazing massage, she worked on my feet forever (which I love!) and told me about the pressure points in my feet that relate to different organs in the body, which I thought was quite fascinating. Especially when she said my kidneys were screaming for water and I indeed was pretty dehydrated from a night in the French Quarter! I've recently had a massage by Bridgette and let me tell you, a massage from her feels like Jesus has touched you from the heavens above. So professional and precise. I had the WORST back pain from an unprofessional massage therapist that left me unable to sleep or move. After my massage I got up and felt like a million bucks. I had a lot of kinks in my shoulders from traveling, doing office work and needed a firm massage which I expressed but none of my knots have been worked out. The aroma therapy and the room was very relaxing to help ease my stress level but my shoulders needed more TLC... I'm only in town for a few days and saw a great review. Maybe I should have asked for a deep tissue massage instead of a Swedish massage to focus on my trouble areas. Update: One of the co-owners of Spa Aria read my review and contacted me. She let me know that protocol whenever a customer expresses concern to any staff member at the spa is to contact her or the other co-owner so that they can try to make it right but that this had not been done when I had expressed concern after my treatment. She apologized for my experience, especially that my concern had not been passed on to her when it happened, and she offered to refund the cost of the eye treatment add-on and 20% of the body scrub. I appreciate that she took the time to reach out and make it right. It restores my belief that this spa really does care about providing a good customer experience. I still hope that they square their advertised treatment times with what is provided, but appreciate that she took time out to reach out to me and that she was willing to adjust the cost to reflect the treatment times not provided. I decided to get two services for my birthday. I got a 60 minute sugar scrub and a 30 minute express facial with a 20-30 minute eye treatment add- on. First, the body scrub lasted 45 minutes from start to finish, including the time I was in the shower, despite being advertised as a 60 minute treatment. I expressed my confusion to the receptionist between appointments and she told me she would look into it. Then, concerned about what had just happened, I told my next woman who was providing a treatment how I had called ahead and was told that the eye treatment was an additional 20-30 minutes on top of the 30 minute mini facial and I wanted to confirm that. She said that actually, it was probably only 15-20 minutes on top. In the end, the 30 minute mini facial plus 20-30 minute add on eye treatment lasted 40 minutes. So, the add on was neither 20-30 minutes as advertised, nor 15-20 minutes as stated, but only ten. When I spoke to the receptionist again when it was time for me to check out, she sincerely apologized that my first treatment had only lasted 3/4 of the advertised time, but did not offer to adjust the bill. This was a truly disappointing service. They should not advertise that services last longer than they actually do, and it is disappointing that they did not stand behind their service and make any kind of adjustment for services not rendered. The services themselves were fine- the products didn't seem special and I didn't come out feeling as fresh as I usually do after a facial treatment. As I write this, I still can't believe I spent $50 on a ten minute eye treatment that consisted of putting one cream on and then holding ice over my eyes. read more
