Horrible gel manicure.
Irene H.

Horrible gel manicure. Didn't cut my nails to the length I wanted, only trimmed cuticles on a few fingers, the polish was uneven and the manicure did not last a week. Definitely not worth the $65 paid, will not be back. Photo is from the day my nails were done.

I was in town for a week on business and had a day where I could not leave downtown due to time constraints. I called the spa and they had an opening that afternoon that worked perfect with my schedule. I booked an hour full body massage. When I arrived early I was greeted warmly and handed a strawberry and cucumber infused water and a glass of champagne...so they instantly worked a positive review on that note! Lol The only reason I didn't provide 5 stars is they did not ask me if I was ok with a male massage therapist. So I was surprised when I went into the room with a man. HOWEVER....ask for Jamal if you go in for a massage! The man is skilled and does an amazing job. He is also super sweet and a great conversationalist. I enjoyed my time there and recommend highly.

I had won a raffle on Facebook and got a Gift card to Spa Aria! The full package, 1hr massage, custom facial, mani and pedi! Upon arriving they sent me straight the bathroom Which is also a room for your belongings in locked lockers which you carry the key! Also there a robe, slippers, & a towel waiting for you if you wanted to shower after! Let me say!!! I had the best experience! I was relaxed the whole entire time. From start to finish everything was excellent! Definitely will be back!

This spa has a nice, relaxing atmosphere and is on the second floor of a very pretty, historic hotel. My daughter and I went in for shellac manicures, our first time ever trying shellac. Both our manicurists (Millie and Maria) did a great job on shaping our nails, and the application was precise. We loved our nails when they were done, and couldn't stop looking at them. They were so shiny. You do have to put your nails under UV light, but there is no actual drying time, which was really different. No danger of smudging them as you walk out the door. At $50, it's a pricey manicure. I believe it's expensive for two reasons. First because it's located in a tourist town in a hotel. That right there makes any spa service higher. And second, with a shellac manicure it lasts much longer. I waited to see how long my nails would last before writing my review. The verdict: 3 weeks! And not because they were chipping. I had to take off the polish because my nails were growing out and it was starting to lift up a little bit. But 3 weeks was impressive, especially since I did a lot of housework and organizing during that time. While I hung out on the special heated chairpad, my daughter was taken to a back room to get her brows waxed (unfortunately I don't remember the name of the technician, but she was very friendly). Her brows looked amazing! Because she had a lot of irritation under her brows (and has had this in the past with waxing), the girl had her lay down and put a special mask on her eyes, which was a nice touch. It's definitely more luxurious than a brow wax at a typical salon. However, the price does reflect that as well, at $25. Although my daughter's skin was very irritated, this had nothing to do with the spa, and the service was excellent. I'd recommend this spa if you're willing to spend a little more and like a more peaceful atmosphere than a busy salon. It's also conveniently located in the French quarter.

Ahhhhh It's always a good day when you can start it off at a spa. It was the day after our porky pig fest and after all that eating we wanted to go about the day slow and chillaxed!!! This was my friends first time getting a massage, Yeah I don't know how you can go half your life without getting a proper Swedish body massage. I mean shit I try and go almost every month, it's just the best way to relax. Well she was in for a treat as we added a body scrub and an additional 20min to the massage. Ohhhh yeah it's body jello time! Since she was a bit unsure and uncomfortable she went with a female and I prefer guys so I got Richard. First was the body scrub. I went with the Organic Rescue Ritual - Lilikoi Lemongrass. The scrub felt amazing. The smell was very soothing. To wash it all off I got into a 16 jet rain shower. Oh man I wish I had one of these at home. It is so amazing. I didn't want to come out of it. But, I still had a massage. Got out of the shower reluctantly and onto a warm massage table and Richard went to work. Boy oh boy he has amazing hands!! I wish I could get a massage by him every week. It was so freaking amazing that I started walking out the room and he had to stop me. I was in a daze that I left without my flip flops LOL. If you're Ok with a guy he is amazing ladies!!! My friend said she had an awesome experience as well and is now hooked and will start adding spa time when she travels with her family. Maybe her hubby will join her. The place is not very big, at least not as big as most day spa's are but they have great service and will definetly come again.

I HAVE A FREAKISH OBSESSION WITH SPA SLIPPERS - these rank a C-, the brown color is kinda unsavory.

Exceptional Service The highlights started before the massage even began. I realized I'd left my phone in my car, and the valet went above and beyond to retrieve it and bring it directly to me in the spa. Every team member I encountered was warm, professional, and genuinely friendly. The Treatment I booked a 100-minute Light Swedish Massage, and it was absolute bliss. The Scent: The essential oils were high-quality and smelled fabulous. The Enhancements: I opted for the CBD add-on and pain-relieving oils--well worth the extra cost for the added relaxation. Pro-Tip: Choose Your Appointment Wisely One thing to note when booking: there are two options--one that includes a facility tour and one that is mostly self-guided. My Mistake: I chose the self-guided option. Since it had been a while since my last visit, I found myself a bit lost navigating the locker rooms and amenities. Next time, I'll definitely sign up for the guided tour to get my bearings! Post-Spa Pampering After the treatment, I rehydrated with some refreshing watermelon-infused chilled water before heading to The Davenport Lounge. Capping off the afternoon with charcuterie and champagne was the perfect "after-spa" treat. Verdict: Aside from my own confusion navigating the spa, it was a wonderful day. I'll be back--but I'm taking the tour next time!

The amenities in the lounge area of the spa are amazing. My favorite room was the steam room with essential oils. It's like you are stepping into another dimension of tranquility as you detox the day away and take in the invigorating scents. They also had a dry sauna, a pool, and extremely neat and clean changing room/locker room and shower area. They have everything you need in there from tooth brushes, tooth paste, mouth wash, cotton swabs, face toilettes, etc. My favorite surprise was the ice cold face towels for after a session in the dry sauna. I received the hot stone massage and nourish glow treatment and was absolutely blown away. I wish I could remember the name of my masseuse, but I know he's on my account. I will be requesting him every time! That was the best massage of my life and I certainly was glowing! I was not expecting the skilled massage because in luxury hotels, the spa treatment tends to focus on the experience more than anything, so to have a luxurious experience and therapeutic massage made this my favorite spa experience thus far. They have an area next to the gift shop that offers food and snacks. This was closed by the time I was finished with my appointment because it was later in the day, but I was shocked to see this offered. They offer a discount to locals on certain days of the week as well!

He explained how things would flow during my time there. He guided me to the sauna room first and explained how to enter the sauna capsule. I was given space and time to undress and enter the capsule. He knocked and entered the room as he stated he would just to make sure that I was correctly in the capsule. I was not lol. So I'm glad he came in to correct. The sauna was at 99 degrees I believe an it got toasty quick. There is a clock on the wall that you can see. About halfway through, I got too hot (I'm not a regular sauna user so this may be a newbie thing) so I removed myself from the capsule to cool off a bit. I later got back in with about 10 min left on the clock. The timer went off and I grabbed my things and walked out to lobby area to go to the float room. Once in the float room, he explained that the pod would fill with water and that the lights would go out. In the room is a floatation pillow for your head to use if you prefer. There's also a shower in the room for after your float. They also provide ear plugs and Vaseline to apply if you've got any nicks and scratches to avoid irritation from the salt water. The actual float was nice. The pod stays open the whole time and there's ambient music playing in the beginning to relax you. The total darkness was fine for me but may be difficult for others. I floated on my back initially and kind of just let the water carry me. I switched to a stomach float later on, using the flotation pillow under my chin. It was really nice to relax and bounce off the pod walls without feeling the need to course correct. My only concern was the airflow in the float room. I'm not sure if there was any or if it was just warm due to the water in the pod (the water is lukewarm btw). Maybe I was just overthinking. Overall it was a nice relaxing experience!
