Eek, so I call the day before and am told "not sure, we have a minivan but sometimes the airport brings us cars. Call tomorrow". Ugh. I call the morning of my reservation (9:00 am) no answer. I try again at 11:30 am, no answer. I decide to drive to the store. Closed. No one there. No drop box, nothing. At no point did anyone in the store tell me "we close earlier than advertised so come early for your car" even though I called multiple times to confirm and ask questions. It's As a years long Avis preferred member, I'm in shock and of course scrambling for a same-day solution. I would avoid this location at all costs.

The car was new, had a roomy trunk, and great air conditioning, plus a dock for the I-Pod. We pre-paid on a credit card and got a considerable discount, and if one rents at a location other than the airport, no tourist tax. Our concierge, Mr. Romero, did not urge the extra insurance on us or any of the extras. We really appreciated that. Next long trip we might consider the Sirius Radio. Our phones provided the GPS, but I can see where that might be handy. Avis offers an AARP discount too. We returned the car a few hours early and received a credit. Renting from Avis was easy. I loved that I could rent close to my home, and didn't have to go to the airport. Will I rent from them again. Yes.

However, I must admit that this has probably been my most easiest and painless Enterprise rental car experience yet! It's mainly due to the fact that it's located in the El Paso airport which is conveniently uncrowded, but the customer service here is excellent as well. I was able to easily navigate to their kiosk right after I landed. It's conveniently located right inside of the airport, so no shuttles or long walks needed. Super easy to find! There were no lines and I was able to walk right up to the counter to check-in. Checking in was a breeze and the associate at the counter was super helpful. When it came time to choose a vehicle, the process was super easy. I chose a Nissan Rogue for my national park excursions, and I had no issues with the vehicle during my trip. Returning the vehicle was a breeze, and Anessa was very warm and welcoming. I mean, if painless could be defined with a rental car experience, THIS would be it. This is why I will forever be loyal to Enterprise. Always great service and overall experiences. Sending a huge thank you to the ELP Enterprise team for making my experience an enjoyable one!

I really liked National car rental's excellent customer service at the El Paso Airport location :)…read moreEveryone from the front counter (where I checked in with Jennifer for my online car rental reservation) to Marisol and also 2 male employees upon choosing a rental car in the parking structure, to the male employee at the exit gate were awesome :D ! They all really made sure that I was well taken care of :) ! At first, I actually wanted to rent a brand new white 2023 Toyota Corolla hybrid :) ! I got all of my bags and items into the car and I was ready to check out when I noticed that it didn't seem to take my USB charging cord. I read the manual to make sure I didn't miss anything. Finally, I asked one of the male employees, who pointed out to me that the newer rental cars now only have the USB-C ports (and not the regular USB ports anymore). He said I would need an adapter to be able to charge my device on this new car. I was dismayed because I actually really wanted to try out the new 2023 Toyota Corolla hybrid. But I only had the regular USB charging cord :( . The National male employee was really nice and pointed out some other rental cars, such as a burgundy Nissan Altima, that would allow me to charge since they still had the regular USB port. So I rented the Nissan Altima instead :) ! It still served me really well and I was still really happy that the Altima got me around town :D ! Upon returning the Altima yesterday at the conclusion of my trip, the employee who checked my return was really efficient, and also really friendly and courteous :) ! I will definitely rent National again in the future for future trips :) ! Their cars are very polished and so clean :D ! I was pretty happy overall with both the exceptional customer service and the awesome quality of the available car rentals :) !

I recently brought my car in for routine maintenance, including an oil change, a recall service, tire rotation, and air-conditioning work. Unfortunately, my experience was unacceptable and has left me both disappointed and concerned for the safety of my family -- particularly my grandchild who regularly rides in this vehicle. Below is a summary of the issues: 1. Delay and Lack of Courtesy: I was left waiting over an hour for a ride to work after dropping my car off. When I asked a manager about how being late to work, she said the ride is a courtesy privilege. So rude I could have planned my own transport. Another disappointment in feedback. 2. No warning lights before I arrived and a Surprise Warning Light: After the maintenance, I was told a warning light appeared -- this was never an issue prior to my service appointment. 3. Voided Warranty on this fix: I was informed my warranty was voided due to supposed water damage from a spill. I have no knowledge of this and firmly believe there is a design flaw, as this "spill" seems linked to a button placed dangerously close to where people place drinks. This resulted in an unexpected $1,500 bill. 4. Tire Safety Risk: Less than 10 days after the service, one of my tires blew out. The emergency tire service technician advised that all of my tires were at unsafe tread levels. This is shocking given I paid for maintenance and expected safety checks. This incurred another costly out-of-pocket expense. 5. Paid $300 for Maintenance: Despite spending $300 on a maintenance package, I left in a worse -- and more dangerous -- condition than I arrived. I am warning the public of this practice. This is not the experience I expect from a company that values safety, integrity, and customer loyalty. I demand this situation be addressed -- including a review of the supposed water damage, tire safety negligence, and placement of critical components near cup holders. I truly believe this should prompt a recall or design review. If the organization Nissan Charlie Clark El Paso, is willing to resolve this matter responsibly, I am open to removing my complaint. Otherwise, I will escalate this issue through all available consumer protection channels, including the NHTSA, BBB, and social media. You may reach me via text at (915) 487-4300. I do not answer calls from unknown numbers. Sincerely, a local consumer advocate making people aware. DJ
