I used to come here often before the pandemic and it was really great - a lot has changed since then and not for the better. Parking: They no longer have valet parking even though they still have someone managing the garage. Very narrow and limited self-parking spots, but the guy was nice enough to guide us and tell us where to park. Entry: The parking guy warned us that the spa doesn't provide complimentary uniforms or robes anymore. I really should've read the reviews beforehand, but didn't think the uniform policy changed. I've gone to many Korean spas post-pandemic and they still provide uniforms. Entry was $50 - I believe it's $10 more on the weekends, but my mom and I went on a Tuesday night. You receive a locker watch band and if you're over the age of 21, they ask you if you'd like a blue wristband for the bar. They also provide 1 small towel. Locker Room: Not as clean as it used to be. Robes are $35 each and additional towels are $10 each. You can also purchase swim suits, sandals, etc, but I highly suggest you bring your own to save a ton of money. Co-ed Spa and Dining: It was pretty quiet and empty when we went with the exception of two kids that were running around, screaming while their parents did nothing but lay in the infrared area. I can't imagine what the weekends are like now if that's what we experienced during the week. Their dining options are a lot more Americanized now. You can't buy typical Korean drinks like rice punch because they replaced it with smoothies and juices. Food options are extremely limited now, very basic Korean and American food - I miss the days they had yukgaejang and other great options. Service was super slow too. The kitchen didn't have any orders but no one was at the front desk and had to wait a few minutes to grab the attention of the girl who was supposed to be ringing people up. Massage: The main reason my mom and I came to the spa was for massages. The girl working the desk was the only friendly associate I ran into. She was able to book us walk-in appointments that allowed my mom and I to go in around the same time. We both opted for the detox massage and it was amazing. This place is no longer a Korean spa and it's really disappointing. They've Americanized the entire experience, so you don't get to enjoy the perks of a Korea spa. I do hope they eventually bring it back to what it was including the food and drinks! read more

The staff was unfriendly and borderline rude. The package was not cheap by any means and in my opinion not worth the price. Everything actually worked. I split a total bill of around $300 with a friend last night and I will never come here again. I don't know how this place hasn't gone bankrupt. Nothing is maintained anymore. The cold spa was broken. Half of the controls in the pools didn't work. There's a 3 drink max at the bar no matter how long you stay there. No more uniforms. People walking around in flip flops and shoes. The saunas still worked for the most part. There was graffiti in the salt sauna that's easily wiped off with a cloth and water but wasn't. I've come to Spa Castle twice since the COVID-19 restrictions. I was never reluctant because they are always clean before and after the pandemic. I went on a Saturday afternoon with my two kids and niece. My kids have visited before and had such a great time. This time was a first for my 9 year old niece and we wanted to make it special because it was her 9th birthday - plus she's never been to a spa. Upon entry there wasn't a line, so that made my day. I was asked to show my ID and the kids own. Of course, my kids are underage and do not have federal identification, well except for their passports. I told her I do not have any for them and I am responsible for them. The cashier was not kind nor professional when she spoke to me. She then asked for my Group-on coupon which I showed on my phone. 2 minutes later I was asked to show the coupon on the Group on app. I told her I do not have the app and she so rudely told me, "well it's been that way for a long time so I don't know what to tell you." I have NEVER had to show my coupons on the app and I frequent here. Of course, the B*&ch in me came out because I have over 10 Group on Spa Castle coupons and have never had to download the app to show proof of purchase. Nor has any of my other friends been asked the same. Of course in her mind the customer is not right and she proceeded to argue with me. I immediately told her to please get a manager or I will have to curse her out in front of my kids and her co-workers. The manager came down immediately and apologized for her rudeness and for her not explaining there was in fact a new policy concerning their Group on contract. The manager was kind enough to also offer me a charger since my phone was on the verge of dying In addition he apologized for the inconvenience. After the drama with the front desk the other cashier who helped me walked my 8 year old to the men locker room and asked an attendant to escort him to the main level to meet me. He was so much more respectful than the other rude cashier. He even apologized to me for her. I believe the manager sent her home after, because I saw him speaking with her after I told him what occurred. My kids enjoyed every single minute at the spa. The food (2 - fries with cheese and shrimp fried rice) I also got them alcohol free margaritas and I never seen them smile so wide. They went in every single spa area even though it was a little nippy out, they enjoyed themselves. Every time we exited the pool I had there mask on hand. I won't be back for a while, I may go to their Manhattan location moving forward. The only thing is kids are not permitted at the Manhattan location. The men's wet area, the water jets r not efficient. Two things that stood out that did not make sense: - it is a Korean spa and in the men's wet area is expected to be no clothing, they have changed it to nudity optional, makes no sense for a Korean spa. - why there r two "lifeguards" hanging out in the wet area technically doing nothing just on their phones wearing glasses. After the fifth splash onto my head, I said to the kids, ok you're too close. And this 10 year old mouthed back at me, IT IS A PUBLIC POOL. Ok. I had a whole day planned with my SO who had never had a massage and would love all the different rooms at spa castle. I booked a couples massage and we were going to take an edible and just bliss out, having lunch and chilling in different kinds of hot rooms. She didn't know I'd booked this, and I had her friend bring me the things she'd need so it would be a nice surprise when we showed up there. We took a $50 uber to the place and were surprised to see a sign saying "closed until further notice" taped on the front door. There was someone inside, and I finally got her attention, but when she got to the door she wouldn't open it to explain anything, she just kept pointing at the sign taped on the door. They had sent me an email the night before asking me to confirm my appointment, which I did. The morning of I double checked the email to make sure I didn't get any details wrong. They could easily have notified me before I blew 100 dollars on car rides there and back. They called me later on that day...after the time of my appointment (what was that supposed to do??) to let me know they were closed. Thanks!!! Thanks so much!! I understand COVID changed a lot of things but it's far from a spa experience. They no longer give you a spa uniform. They give you this small pathetic hand towel and that's it. No robes or towels provided with your entry fee of $50. What am i even paying $50 for? To use this under kept and run down facility? I showed my ID when i entered and the receptionist didn't give me a blue wristband so i couldn't purchase alcohol. My family decided to do something totally different....we had a family spa day!! Say what?!! Sure, my husband and I have done spa trips together, and my daughters and I have also (in places like Colorado and New Mexico), but I always had trouble finding kid-friendly spas here in the NE section of the country. That is, until I stumbled upon Spa Castle in Queens, NY! And so, the four of us went together for the very first time ever and had THEE best day imaginable!! Like, it was unreal! Upon arrival we were given waterproof bracelets that coordinated with our lockers. These bracelets were also hooked up to our debit cards, making it super convenient to snack and drink our way around the spa without having to carry a bag, money or our belongings. (The girls thought they were back in Disney and this was their magic band!) We started the day off leisurely in our robes and bathing suits with a trip to the smoothie bar and buffet, since we arrived first thing in the morning, which I highly suggest, I indulged in blackberry ice tea and all the fresh fruit my heart desired. The gang filled up on all sorts of prepared food, delicious salads, lightbulb drinks, and hubs even had a reuben made to order. *The buffet is perfect for carnivores and veg-heads alike! We then jumped right in, literally! First up was the indoor massage chair pool, which was definitely one of my favorites! The room was gorgeous!!! It had big, bright windows that overlooked the outdoor pools! It was difficult for me to leave that pool, but it was time to explore some more.... The outdoor pools are complete with many different water features, including jets for massaging different areas of the body (I loved the calf massagers!) and a gorgeous lion fountain, too! Check-out the bridge in the distance...this is sooo NY! The outdoor area is so stunning! It had terra-cotta shingles roofs that reminded me of Spain or Tuscany and gorgeous columns like in Greece. In fact, many people on my Instagram thought a pic of us here I posted WAS from Greece! It's all so beautiful! We came on a perfect day! It was mid 60's- low 70's, and although the temperature wasn't quite pool weather, the pools are heated, and with the sun, it felt like the most wonderful mild summer day! I highly recommend coming on a similar day if you can, although if it were rainy, the indoor treatments will certainly keep you happy inside... The 'Sauna Village' was unreal!! It's hard to choose a favorite, but the jade sauna encrusted with jewels was a stunner... The kiddos loved the gold and the ice room! My little one couldn't stop drawing in the ice. Heading in here right after sweating it out in the other rooms is just the BEST feeling! They say the combo is great for opening up your pores! They also have color therapy rooms where you choose the color in your booth according to the mood you want to achieve. As you can imagine, this was a big hit with the kiddos! It was so relaxing just lounging under the infrared lights... ...and definitely intense in their hottest room, the soil sauna, which has a temperature of 175 degrees Fahrenheit! Do you think you could do it?! The kids then snuck in a midday ice-cream break by the pool and hubs and I had couples massages, which is always such a treat for hardworking parents, and aren't we all? I went for aroma therapy while he stuck with Swedish. It was honestly the most incredible massage I've ever had! Ask for Colin! OMG! Simply amazing!! We ended the day with a traditional Korean meal of Bibimbap with banchan (sides) and the girls playing in the kiddos play area. Oh, and then we took one last soak, only this time it was au naturale, in the women only pools down below where the lockers are located. It was so freeing! I cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience here! It was such an awesome way to relax and regroup while having fun as a family! I loved it so much I want to make a trip to Spa Castle a regular thing for us, and definitely a regular Mother's Day outing each year! It was simply the best one yet! Check them out! They have memberships and even a party room! Think showers, bachelorette parties or birthday celebrations! How fun! Things to keep in mind: Bring your bathing suits, but don't worry about flip flops, it's complete shoe free. You can however rent slippers if you so desire. Not what it used to be. My girlfriend and I used to come to relax and rejuvenate. However since the pandemic the place looks run down, a lot of the features are closed, including the kids pool, waterfalls, saunas and their buffet style food area. There are exposed wires to buttons that used to work and garbage in the pool (plastic straws and cups) This was my experience yesterday with customer service. My girlfriend and I paid for a couples massage package, upon arrival they charged us the wrong price that was advertised online, first stating "That's just the additional tax" however they charged another sales tax on top of that total. And then upon leaving they charged us again for the same thing we already paid for. And for them to fix this we had to wait 15 mins and could not leave. We also overheard staff talking about how employees don't arrive on time anymore - clearly the overall quality of the place has gone down. To top it all off, we ordered (very overpriced) lunch. Since the buffet is closed, we went to the fast food style lunch window, ordered chicken fingers and a salad - and were served raw chicken! They immediately corrected it, re-frying the chicken in what I presume to be the communal fryer. Not sure if this is how it's supposed to be handled, but just another red flag to add to the list. I understand that mistakes happen and that the past two years have been rough, but I definitely did not want to spend my Sunday fighting with customer service and try to relax between dangerously exposed wires while worrying about food poisoning. Unfortunately one of my favorite places to relax is not measuring up to the experience I've seen in the past. The saunas are usually one of my favorite places to go to work on my skin. After going to the hottest sauna for about 8 minutes I usually would go to the ice sauna. To my surprise it's out of service for the day! So the only options is hot or warm with no cool down for my pores. I guess the first floor cooling pool will be my only chance to balance the heat I used to open my pores. Very disappointed in being charged regular price and several things were broke or out of service smh. I might have to look for a new spa if this continues. read more

COVID related closures seem to have unfortunately taken a toll on this once-very-busy health & wellness spa. Although it was certainly never the epitome of luxury spa clubs, it has always been a decently-priced location where the the sauna rooms were always hot, the jet tubs were always bubbling, and the complimentary toiletries were always available - until now. I've visited this location more than a dozen times over the past few years and I've never seen it so empty and in need of repairs. The sauna rooms were mostly all working (with the exception of the cold sauna room which was out of order and another hot sauna room) but the temperatures were lower than they used to be - most of them were in the 130's and 140's *F. Some of the jets in the outdoor pool were not working and others would be very weak - there was even a station that seemed to have been ripped out, leaving exposed wiring visible to all, I would be lying if I said I wasn't concerned about electrocution for a moment but I'm here typing this review so I guess they had cut power to it. The sauna located by the upstairs pool area was set to a mere 98*F and good lighting was lacking. The drinks were great as always and the staff was friendly as per usual. The small number of people made it a little more bearable experience than pre-pandemic but alas this is probably why they may feel the need to cut down on costs - overall understandable but it leaves one wondering if we should just make the trip out to Jersey for other locations. Again though, the convenience of this location for those who live in Queens is unparalleled so I'll probably head back whenever I'm in need of some muscle relaxation, which is often. read more

This was an interesting place. They take your shoes at the door and make you buy some (if you want to wear shoes). I didn't want to buy them, so I had to go barefoot. Ah, athletes foot. They also make you wear an oversized uniformed everywhere in the facility - even in the sauna, and one was 171 degrees. So that was very uncomfortable in a heavy cotton uniform: v-neck and heavy shorts. The nude pools (you're required to be nude in these) are right inside the locker room, so most people in the locker room are naked. The lockers for the shoes are separate from the lockers with your clothes (your key watch opens these two lockers), which was kind of strange. There are a few floors with really crappy food options and several sauna rooms and pools and hot tubs. If you go early enough (before noon, when my sister and I went) you can have an entire hot tub or pool to yourself. We were getting into one of the hot tubs and we saw a guy pleasuring himself, so we opted for another hot tub. They have also have a nap area, but the nap mats were super stained (also we weren't tired and didn't need naps anyway). I definitely wouldn't use one of their mats though. (See pictures below including stained nap mats.) We went to the outdoor hot tub on the rooftop and were in there for a little while by ourselves which was fun. Then, by the time we left Spa Castle there were 14 people who had gotten into the hot tub. If you get to the pool early you could also get a chaise lounge. My sister and I got there early enough so we snagged two and then turned them towards the sun. If you get here (during the week) around 1:00 pm or after that you'll probably walk into an overcrowded pool (that's how it was when we left) and maybe not be able to get a chair. There was also a fight at the pool when we were there with several girls who were yelling at each other about who stole who's chair. The lifeguards watched but didn't get involved. This was awkward since there were families and kids nearby. I honestly think security should've made everyone involved leave the premises immediately. We also ordered juices which were amazing (best part of the entire experience!) and definitely worth $8. I wouldn't come back here (even though I only paid $29 from my Groupon deal). It was interesting and I'm glad I went (for the experience). I've heard mixed reviews about this place, and I definitely know it's not a place I'd go back to. read more

I've been visiting for several years, despite the awful reviews, and have enjoyed myself, until now. The entry fee is much higher, and on my last visit more than half of the jet machines weren't working including at least 6 stations with exposed wires in the water, which made it a bit hard to relax to say the least. The bar pool had a panty liner floating in it and smelled faintly of mold and the other was murky and smelled so bad I instantly exited and wanted a shower. There was also a creepy dude following my friend and I around. I spoke to the manager and he thanked me for my opinion. If you're going to spend this much money, might as well go to a nicer place like Bathhouse where you can still actually get a massage. No refunds in case you were wondering. Will never go again. First, their system does not accept pictures or scanned IDs, and if you forget your ID, they will deny you access with a bad attitude. It shows their poor management style and old ID authentication system. Secondly, we were in the common room for group building and the staff came to tell us that loud noise is not allowed. We were told to go out of the room to the dining area. There was no notice in the room. Third, we put together three tables for the group build in the dining area and ordered lunch to continue sharing and discussing the internal building of the company. And consumed the lunch, but an hour later the restaurant waiter disliked that we were here too long and wanted to evict us again, which we refused. I can't believe I just found out about this place. IT IS SO AMAAZING!!! When you arrive they give you a waterproof watch that opens your locker, and you can scan your watch wherever you want to pay for food, spa services, and whatever else! The first floor has the lockers and nude mineral spa which was absolutely amazing. We did that last. I got there early (right when they opened) on a Friday morning (going on a weekday is better because it's less crowded). I headed straight to the rooftop!!!! It was amaazzing and so relaxing. I loved the individual chairs in the pool with the pulsating jets. I could literally sit there alll day long. The employees in the locker room are wickkkkkkeed rude. That's the only reason I took away one star. The lifeguards on the rooftop we're really awesome. And we had Sharlyn as a bartender. She was absolutely amazing! So sweet and funny! I was starving by 5pm so my grandma and I ordered sliders & fries at the bar. They weren't terrible. The drinks are strong and amazing but they only give you a 3 drink limit. I got Miami Vices. $18 for a drink but they include 2 shots in the drink. It was worth it. #treatyoselffff lol. I also loved the Salt Sauna. It was so relaxing. I didn't do any of the additional spa services but next time I come back I will. We also got some food from the salad bar. It was wicked expensive and not worth it. They charge you by pound. I think it was around $12 per pound. My auntie got a plate of fruit and it came out to be $25 something dollars. And half of the fruit was spoiled. Ridiculous. Tourist trap. Seemed like most of the people there were there because they either had a groupon or needed a place to bring their kids for a day off. There were SO. MANY.KIDS. It's a barefoot facility which is shkeevy.. you enter and you put your shoes in a locker before you can enter the locker room to change/ put your stuff away. Free lockers are accessed via the pay bracelet they give you. I got a Groupon for hot stone target therapy and the appointment confirmation said to arrive at 1:30, and we did- they told us to come back at 2. Fine. Just annoyed I left the pool super early to do nothing. The pools had different jet features and water pressures for you to use. Some were broken, and some had the floor peeing up on some so it felt super gross to stand on. They sold overpriced sugary drinks at the bar for about $20 each (for like 12 or 16 oz). The massage was good, while she was actually doing it. She got up 4 times in my 50 minute session to accommodate other guests that were trying to make appointments. It wasn't relaxing for me, I just got increasingly annoyed each time she left my massage. It's also weird that they require you to wear a uniform inside. You can upgrade to a rent a robe. You can buy shoes or go barefoot. Some people were wearing their own shoes and own robes. The food area was decent - I would stay away from the fruit / salad bar and stick to the little restaurants to the side that make your food to order. I say this because I saw one girl - not a little girl but probably at least 16 stick her hand in the melon bowl and just ate the melon straight from the buffet, no utensils no napkins and obviously she didn't pay. Just seemed so gross. They have "complimentary" valet parking which the people had the audacity to say to me "we are looking for a tip" when they pulled my car up. I was already preparing to give them a tip as they said that. I told him that it was incredibly rude to ask for a tip and she said "well the parking is complimentary, that's why we're looking for tip". Unreal. This place is just ok, nothing exceptional about it. There are about 6 different saunas and a cold room. The saunas are basically all the same. Gold sauna, deep salt sauna, all just felt the same, just different names. They also have 2 outdoor pools with jacuzzi and some indoor pools. Food and drinks are expensive, you can expect to pay $10 for a 12oz beer, more expensive than airports. Staff was friendly and helpful when I asked where to go. I didn't have a problem with anyone. So in my opinion if you get a Groupon discount and go during the week ($37) it's probably worth to check it out. But if you're going to pay full price or go during the weekend it's probably not worth it. Also, if you use Groupon they'll charge you a small fee (approximately $1.70) once you check in. I was a little nervous based on recent reviews but was relieved to have a great experience overall. This was my first time visiting a spa like this so on general I had no idea what to expect. I didn't have slippers so I was able to purchase a pair for $9 and I'll be able to use them next time. After checking in and getting a watch that opens lockers and is used to pay for any additional food or services, you enter a small locker area where you leave your shoes before entering the larger locker room. From there, you are able to access mineral pools of different temperatures - this is the no clothes allowed area. After spending time in this area, you put on a bathing suit, robe and slippers to move to the other floors. The next level is for different saunas. We went in a few different options and found it to be peaceful, although there were occasionally loud construction noises coming from somewhere. Next level is the outdoor pool and hot tub area. It was pretty chilly on the way into the pool but once we were in, the temperature was perfect. Inside on this level is also a pool with a swim up bar. I had a couple of margaritas that were surprisingly strong. From there we went to have something to eat. I opted for fried rice, which was fine. I have a lot of thoughts on Spa Castle after my visit on Saturday. I must admit being a regular at Sojo Spa Club and Premier 57 in Manhattan (same owners as Spa Castle), I was really disappointed with my experiences at Spa Castle in comparison to those places. Here's what went wrong. CONS: 1. Check-in was a complete mess! Took us ~30 minutes given that there were only 10 groups ahead of us (with 3 staff members). Like seriously, the guys at Spa Castle can take a look at how efficient the check-in process is at Sojo Spa Club. With the same amount of people, it would take us less than 10 minutes to go through the process and get our keys! 2. No complimentary towel was given to us. Like that is seriously weird. We had to ask a whole bunch of people to find out where, and they were really small that couldn't cover my torso. 3. Cleanliness and hygiene was subpar. The pool water smelled a bit funky/of urine and there was trash/used cups everywhere around the pools! Granted this could either be from unruly customers, but I think there's a certain degree of responsibility for Spa Castle to constantly maintain a basic level of cleanliness. The water should be checked because it smelled really odorous during our visit in the afternoon. 4. Spa Castle needs some form of crowd control. I think at many pools there was TOO many people that made the water overflow, prohibiting a lot of patrons from going to these pools. Certain sauna rooms had too many people, making it noisy, loud and chaotic. I do realize that children are allowed to come here, however be prepared to have undisciplined kids shouting and running about during your spa tranquility. If Spa Castle is insistent on allowing kids to join, please create a section/floor where only adults can be at because a lot of these obnoxious and loud children detract from the relaxation that a lot of us spa patrons crave for. 5. Location is really inconvenient for people living other than Flushing. It's a least nice that they have a shuttle to Flushing, but still prepare to take a hike if you're coming from Manhattan and Brooklyn (Took me a total of ~1.5-2 hours to travel to Spa Castle from the Upper East Side). 6. Food is outrageously priced. E.g. $14 sandwiches, $5 per bowl of shin ramen, and $12/lb salad bar. This pricing is even higher than what you'd expect to get in Midtown/downtown Mahattan. Eat at Flushing before you come here or else prepared to get jipped by sub-par and overpriced food! Although I didn't get any food, its pretty standard American Food. Seriously, go to Flushing to get better priced and authentic Asian food than coming here! 7. Also found it weird that the showers are situated in the "nude" only section of the changing room. I think this should be changed considering not everyone is comfortable being nude and also that showers are critical to take before and after going to the spa. 8. Spa Castle is absurdly priced too. Without Groupon, weekend pricing is at $60!! That's absurd considering how limited the facilities are and the lack of pools and activities compared to Sojo Spa Club (priced at $65 for weekends)! For $60 bucks I would expect amenities and activities just as much as Sojo Spa Club, but staying at the pool sections for like a hour or so I got bored of being there and wanted to get out. THank god we got Groupon for $47, but still the lack of amenities and pools made our stay at Spa Castle quickly boring. OKAY: Not giving this place a one star due to a few saving graces. 1. I like the various selections of sauna rooms that Spa Castle had. They had a really nice infrared plank bed that was comfortable and was probably my favorite. 2. Large lounge/dining area, with good wifi so that if you're bored from the chaos and the unhygienic pools upstairs, you can spend some time reading a book or playing your computer/pad. OVERALL: Disappointed of Spa Castle. Considering the price, value, the amount of effort it took to get there from Mnahattan, the rowdiness of the crowd, and lack of cleanliness, this place is horrendous. For a few years, I have been enjoying spa castle for what it is worth; a great place to relax, steam in the various saunas, spend some times in the jet pools, workout, and have great food. However, Spa Castle has lost its soul since COVID 19. It's great that they have social distancing and mask policies, yet they cannot have any of their saunas open (which is slightly understandable), not even one! And if there is one sauna operating, it's not hot enough. Most of the on and off switches for the jet pools to this day are not repaired. The chlorine in the water sometimes feel a bit too much. The salad bar and the gym has been removed as they serve concession style comfort food that is extremely expensive. They no longer serve towels, basic toiletries, robes, bathing suits and sandals for free. My last few experiences at Spa Castle were a major turn off for me. The staff members are ok, just not very enthusiastic in dealing with customer service; some of the security guards are a bit too much for me, nearly accusing me of smuggling weed in my hair ( I have dread locks, I never bring drugs, tobacco or alcohol to the spa, plus isn't marijuana legal now in NYC?) Now, on to the men's side of the spa, which used to be a safe haven for me to enjoy pampering myself and relaxing in these wonderful hot and cold pools; yet the last time I was there the showers were not properly working, no water in the hottest tub, and the temperatures were not hot enough in any of the pools. I believe that they were trying to fix some plumbing issues with the hot water that day, maybe you should have closed the spa for a few days to take care of your issues? All of this for the price of? I was hoping to go to spa castle to RELAX but that didn't work out well... Starting with the mezz room where its supposed to be "quiet" people were on their phones and talking which was annoying.. This was my second time going to Spa Castle. This time I did some research and wanted to bring my close friends with me. We went on a Monday at 9am and it was a super fast check in and they honored our GroupOn with no problems. Just like $1.65 paid at the door for tax. One issue I had is that prior to going I wanted to make sure they were open on a certain day close to the holidays and I emailed, Facebook messaged, and called them and no one answered any of my inquiries. But we just changed the date just to be safe. The thing about Spa Castle is that if you think it's a super luxury resort then..... idk you are going to be disappointed. It's a cool place with fun lights and lots of places to explore, treatments and decent food. You can chill by yourself or bring a group of friends. I think it's really about mindset. Just have fun and relax. I had fun introducing my bestie to this place. And I went 4 years ago and they seemed to have updated some things since then. It looks really nice. The only part is that some things still needed a little repair. The color therapy room needed some home depo improvements and the jets in the women's locker pools needed some help (but they have the same things in the coed space on the 2nd floor) super minor and hopefully they will get around to it. Going on a weekday in the off season was important because I wasn't trying to fight for a pool chair lol. What was great this time around is that you get a really nice robe that makes it feel super lux as opposed to the shorts and top they gave you before. Also since it's the winter the outdoor pools steam up which is fun. My favorite part of Spa Castle other than just chillin in water all day is the Infrared Section (not the sauna), for some reason my skin really glows after that section. While everyone minded their business, it was also nice getting to chat up a few new people as well. Also they have a wide variety of refreshments and I thought it was tasty (compared to some of the reviews). And water is available for free. The prices are maybe $2 more than what you would pay outside for some things. And I think for some people not seeing what your actually spending can be intimidating. My only suggestion is to definitely make sure you have a minimum of $50 per person for food if you plan to eat and be there all day. There are a lot of places to sit and nooks and crannies. Also the spa packages can seem intimidating as well if all you want is a regular massage to top off the experience. On the mezzanine floor there is a massage parlor that is $45 for 30mins and the price is pretty standard. I enjoyed mine and the technicians were super nice. The sleeping area is a bit cold so don't go after being in the water like I did. It's probably better after being in all of the hot saunas. I found everyone to be super friendly. The atmosphere was updated and clean. For me being with my friend and relaxing after a long year of hustling around the city was just what we needed. read more

I have been coming to Spa Castle for years. The place is getting worse every time I come. Today, I saw a huge dead cockroach in a sauna room. The spa is dirty, food, drinks all around pool area and sauna rooms. It is noisy and crowded. Not recommend you to visit. 7.28.2021 - Hanging with the wifey and am very disappointed with my experience today. First time back since prior to everything shutting down. And this place is falling apart. Very few, if any, of the hydrotherapy areas are working. They closed off the hot tub and lowered the temp on the other one. The indoor pool area smells like sweat and funk. Had to leave that area and go elsewhere to wash off the smell. Some of the hydrotherapy areas have their buttons removed and wires exposed. My wife and I love coming to Spa Castle. We are always treated so well here. Now after 2 years and 20+ visits it's time to update my review. Spa Castle is and all season indoor and outdoor Korean Style bath sauna experience. To the uninitiated Spa Castle will be an exotic & different adventure. As you enter there may be a long line, so get out your ID and credit card. Security will check your backpacks and bags as you enter so don't bring any booze or things that you shouldn't have. Your payment amounts may vary depending on how you purchase your admissions. Weekdays, Monday through Friday it's $40 PP + tax at their front counters. Weekends, Saturday and Sunday admission is $50 PP (FYI-prices will go up +$10 soon). Spa Castle can be a busy place. The peak times will be on the weekends in the afternoons in the summer. My wife and I generally enjoy Spa Castle in the off-peak times. We go early in the mornings, weekdays and later in the evenings. We like to visit off-season and the winter when it's not as busy. Spa Castle is our number one venue on the holidays as everywhere else is closed. We have enjoyed 4th of July, Valentine's Day, New Year's, and birthdays here. On the holidays we always come early and relax a few hours before it gets busy. Hungry at all? Spa Castle has a nice selection of food and snacks. Sometimes I get the salad buffet and sometimes we get the chicken tenders or wings $10.with waffles with fruit $10.for dessert. We are always treated really well here, like royalty. Having been here a few times, the staff knows my wife and I by name which adds to our enjoyments and feeling as part of their family. That's important to myself and my wife. Sure, You're allowed to tip them if you like. While on life's path recently, My wife and I were in an auto mishap. Spa Castle has been our pathway back to good health again. In addition to the many services contained here, Spa Castle has a number of aqua therapy pools ranging in temperature from 57°to 105°. These therapeutic waters been instrumental in our rehabilitation. My wife and I each have a personal Aqua therapy schedule from our physician. We generally utilize the hot and cold pools, hot steam rooms, hot wood saunas and Himalayan salt and ice castle bungalows. These amenities and the many other services available here help keep us active and ache-free, even though we're a bit older now. Also so you're not surprised no shoes here and you can't bring your own flip flops. It's only barefoot or Spa Castle sandals that are permitted here. As I am in the security profession, I am pleased to see all the lifeguards here are skilled in Hospitality etiquette as well as being up-to-date in CPR and AED certifications. That's especially important. The security guy here is so professional and the best. I can relax and feel safe here with my family and friends. Thank You Spa Castle for making us feel 20 years younger after each visit. And thanks to the staff for making us feel special and welcome here.
