Spa Jardin is the only spa in Tampa that I will go to for my skin. Their menu of services is incredible and the estheticians spend so much time perfecting each individual clients skin. They really care. Melissa is my go to girl! She is so pleasant to be around and is so confident about her craft. The spa itself feels like you're in the gardens of France. It's beyond tranquil and relaxing. The thing I love most is that when I can't get in with Melissa(she gets booked quick) I can go to their sister store, Melt Out. They take walk-ins for the same services held at Spa Jardin. The two buildings are connected. Their line of skin care products, candles, jewelry and clothing is everything you could ever want! If you are looking for a great spa in South Tampa then try Spa Jardin! I moved here 7 months ago and tried a few other spas until I found Spa Jardin. I won't go anywhere else. Best manicure and pedicure around. My nails lasted over a week and my pedicure was still going strong more than 3 weeks later. The building itself is awesome and so is the decor. I was given a gift card to Spa Jardin from my boyfriend for my birthday and was SUPER excited because I had heard wonderful things about this facility. When I got there and checked in for a facial I was totally looking forward to a relaxing experience, as it started with a wonderful foot soak and a hot tea that was provided by the girl who was going to do my facial. I relaxed for a few minutes and then she came and got me and took me from the nice relaxing area of one building to the building next door where they do the manicures and pedicures to a room in the back that when you were in it, it seemed relaxing but you could totally hear people outside talking and during my facial, banging what sounded like pots and pans outside in the little kitchen area. My facial girl even mentioned this a few times. I tuned it out as much as possible. At the beginning of my facial I told the girl that I had looked at the website and thought the hydration facial (costing $115.00) looked good but I would like her suggestion on what would be best for me once she saw my skin. She never told me anything about any price/up charge for the facial after I had already told her which one I wanted. I just let her do her thing and relaxed! I did enjoy the facial while it was happening however, when it was over and I went back through the loud room and outside to the other building again I was taken up to the front counter where the dark haired women who I don't know if she was an owner or just kind of rude employee who was on the phone. She didn't even acknowledge I was standing there for much longer than anyone should ever let someone stand after a service. This women continued her phone conversation without making eye contact with me and because I could hear everything she was saying I know the call was not business related and when she finally did acknowledge me while still on the phone, all she said was "would you like to include gratuity?". I looked at her and was like definitely surprised she would ask that, as I didn't even know what the cost was yet, so I said to her "I'm going to use your ladies room until you get off the phone". When I came back she was STILL on the phone and finally hung up and she asked me again "would you like to include gratuity?" and I said "how much was my service?" She gave me total of $165.00!! The facial that I saw cost $115! The girl who did my facial NEVER said which facial she was going to actually do NOR did she say there was an additional $40.00 up charge for the peel. My final bit of relaxation just left my body, as I was in shock and definitely annoyed at this point, at how terrible the cashier woman was and that I was not told there would be an up charge for additional services. It's not about the money it is about communicating with your clients and actually making them enjoy the total experience, which I left there very dissatisfied and when I came home and told my boyfriend what happened, he was livid with Spa Jardin and how they treated me during something that he gave to me as a birthday gift!! Last thing...if you look at my receipt, the "TIP" that I actually left was NOT all given to the facial girl...5% of what I left for my facialist was given to the Spa Gratuity fee). read more

I hadn't been in over 5 years so they requested a credit card to reserve the appointment, which I totally understood being a business owner in the service industry myself. Spa Jardin is a wonderful hidden jem of a spa. I absolutely love the decor; you can tell how much thought the owner put into each little detail. The moment you step into this spa you'll immediately feel a sense of relaxation; its beautiful decor and friendly staff put you at ease. Spa Jardin is its own little oasis. Last November, I went to Spa Jardin with my sister, mom, and a family friend for some spa treatments in preparation for my sister's wedding. My mom had lunch catered from Penne Rustica, and the four of us ate outside on the patio for a lovely, relaxing lunch. My sister had the Herbal Body Polish, and I must say she came out glowing. The four of us also got mani's and pedi's. I would probably give 5 stars for the mani's and pedi's. While the nail technicians were very nice and friendly, their work was a bit sloppy. Honestly, I've had better manicures and pedicures in whole-in-the-wall type places. For the cost of a spa mani/pedi you would expect better results. They were pretty skimpy on the length of the massage portion of the mani and pedi. I wanted a Shellac french manicure, but they did not know how to do it, so I ended up getting an off-white color polish, which turned out ok, but it was not what I wanted. Lastly, the nail technician cut my mom's friend cuticle. Ouch! From the other posts, it sounds like the facials and body treatments are pretty stellar. Maybe skip the mani's and pedi's here and go for one of their other treatments. If you want your make-up done, I highly recommend Amada Flores from Melt Out next door (I believe the two places are owned by the same person). This is a great spa. Amber, the owner, has an amazing sense of decor-- think Shabby Chic meets Dwell magazine. The Spa is upscale and elegant but manages to remain relaxed, welcoming and accessible. Their pedicures are full blown spa experience including a huge down chair to sink into and a footbath with flower petals floating in it. Karen gives an amazing facial and does an excellent job on brows. Their teen facial is the true spa experience but appropriate for young skin types. The facial beds are incredibly comfortable and the treatment rooms are cozy, thoughtfully stylish and extremely peaceful. A treatment here is a true retreat from your daily grind. read more

Loved! Was definitely a "spa" pedicure, not a "salon" pedicure. You pay for the experience, but if you want a relaxing experience, this is it. Once I sat down, and was soaking my feet in hot water, I was offered hot tea or champagne. I got the Spa Jardin Pedicure from Libby. She did a really good job. She was helpful in choosing a nail color, and making sure I was relaxed. My only complaint was that I wish the actual leg massage was longer. For 72 dollars, I want more than 5 minutes. Could not recommend this place more! My facial with Melissa was the perfect combination of relaxing and educational. My service was over the top pampering - hot tea, snacks, and a foot soak before in the relaxation room, and the facial included foot and arm/hand massages! Each of the products used were so pleasantly aromatic, a lot of good oils and scents which was very relaxing. I appreciate learning and understanding how to take the best care of my skin in between visits and Melissa was so full of knowledge and willing to answer all my questions. Together we tailored a skincare routine for me and my skin has never looked better. I am also obsessed with the atmosphere of the spa, each room is decorated so perfectly. Everything about this place is wonderful...the soothing waiting room with great little snacks, the warm foot soak I enjoyed while sipping champagne and the life changing Swedish massage that I received from Sara. Sara at Spa Jardin gave me the most amazing prenatal massage! The table pillow system was very comfortable and allowed me to lay on my front side while keeping my belly supported. I have been to this establishment 3 times...1st time was with Crystal for my lashes... within 3 days they were all falling off.. I was told it's my fault and that my lashes aren't in good condition. .I called and was giving Libby..who is FANTASTIC ..to fix them..I wasn't charged..and they lasted and we're full and beautiful. I came back for a fill and had to have Crystal again.. I figured all would be ok this time around and WOW I WAS WRONG!! NOT ONLY HAVE HALF OF THEM FALLEN OFF IN 4 DAYS..I WAS Insulted by excusing me of using mascara that wasn't for these lashes...That's a lie..I spent a lot of money on the Butterfly eye wash and mascara..and hardly use the mascara. Now they look horrible with gaps and I leave to Spain tomorrow. The manager and Owner refused to rectify this, refused a refund and said I should've seen Libby.. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. I LIKE LIBBY AND SHES GOOD..TO BAD SHE NO LONGER WILL HAVE MY SERVICES. I called today to book an appointment for the "Spa Pedicure". I explained I had a "Spa Finder" gift certificate I wanted to use. Just a s we were finishing confirming the day and time the young lady told me she needed a credit card to hold the appointment...a real turn off. I've been to plenty of spas in my day and never been asked for a cc prior to my appointment. I didn't provide it and will go elsewhere. I went back to their site and saw that it is in their policy section but I'm still not going to go. I was put off with the fact that they put a 20% gratuity on whether you want that or not, too. It's too bad because they are in my neighborhood so it would have been convenient to be a regular customer. read more

Very frustrated now for the second time in a row. I made an appointment for a facial that I very much needed do to skin and sinus issues. I was told there was a last minute availability when I made the appointment. When I showed up the appointment was made for 2 months from today! The last time I came for an appointment they left me waiting with me feet in cold water for 45 mins and then told me they were double booked. Seriously? I noticed a couple other posts that had the same experience I did with the up charging. I had a gift certificate for a facial with Karen. Someone my mom goes to at least once a month. I had a gc for a $115 facial and still walked out with over a $70 upcharge. So the facial i had was actually $185, which unless I am in Manhattan is ridiculous. The most annoying thing was i was never told at any time that the blueberry serum she used was going to be an extra charge. She simply said I am going to use the blueberry whatever on your skin, I said ok sounds good. She never mentioned the extra cost. I didn't realize the issue until i was thinking about how expensive the moisturizer was that i bought and looked at my receipt the next day. I called as I thought they didn't apply the gift certificate. It was then that i was told there was an extra $70+ dollars added to the facial. I was absolutely livid, as this is just stealing to me. but from what i can tell especially from the other posts, this seems to be their business practice, which is just sad. read more
