I went to get my acrylic nails off and the guy on the 5th chair, trimmed all of my nails too low. I have 2 nails in particular, but especially my thumb nail that are lower than the rest of my nails and it's breaking in the middle of my nails. It's so low my whole nail bends backwards even. I did wait a bit of time after the pedicure for someone to do my full set of nails, but they were very busy. And I expected a possible wait with walking in and not having an appointment. I had the best pedicure done by Nokie and had the French dipping powder on my nails done by Jessie. These ladies are fantastic! They take their time and make sure you are happy. My go-to place shut down and my mom recommended this place close to her. Not an especially memorable experience but that could be both good and bad. A little rough on the maintenance (clipping and digging) but the foot scrub and massage was excellent and thorough. Paint job is nice and neat with pretty flowers. I visited Spa Nails location next door to Publix last Friday, May 10th at 6:45 p.m. and Nail Rep Jesse (who sits at the front when you enter by the cash register) that was very rude, very upset and lashing out at customers...all because, it was busy. I understand the pressure to complete all services for Mother Day's Weekend, however, being rude and disrespectful to a customer because I mistakenly call her Mimi. She was wearing a mask and I clearly made a mistake by calling her mimi. After being accosted by this rude individual, I immediately, apologized and said I was sorry I took you for Mimi. My family were in Deltona for the weekend, my mother in law, my sister and siter in law all wanted to get their nails done, and as a result of this unfortunate rude encounter with Jesse, we decided to give our business to another nail outlet in Deltona. My professional assessment is that, Jesse need a training course on how to effectively communicate under pressure and how to be kinder to customers entering Spa Nails. I've been going here for almost 2 years and I've had little to no complaints up until 2 days ago when I went in for a lip and chin wax and it was raised and swollen so I put some aloe and cold compress on to let the swelling go down. I woke up yesterday and my lip creases and my chin. I have been once again putting fresh aloe and neosporin every few hours to protect it from scarring. I went back today and they just gave me a gift card to the salon for 16.00 which is the price of the wax WITH NO TIP. Just went for the first time for the luxury pedicure. Tom did some amazing corners on my French pedi and Cindy went in on my man's ingrown toe nail. We will definitely be back regularly. We've been looking for a spot in Deltona for a while and this looks like the spot to be at. The place was busy but we were taken back for service immediately. I love that they use the plastic bags in the foot bath, makes you feel better about sanitation. I went in for my eyebrows and a pedicure. Now I'm the beginning I'm always nervous when someone new touches my eyebrows, but nokie did a fantastic job. So gentle , got every hair and shaped perfectly. Next came the pedicure, there was many options to chose from (something I'm not use to). I ended up getting the deluxe pedicure and it was fabulous!!! I wanted for this to be such a great experience, but unfortunately it wasn't. My nail tech, Lory, was less than pleasant. Not only did she try to up-sell the pedicure, even after my 4th time of saying "no" she proceeded to have a surly attitude toward me the entire time. She turned the water on in the middle of my pedicure to scalding hot and burned the back of my leg, she gouged so far under my toe nail that it bled, and she completely skipped the massage portion of the pedicure. Needless to say, I was very disappointed with the whole experience. The only reason I gave it two stars is because the paint itself came out well. You're just a number, they do the service as fast as they can because it's always PACKED. I just finished a pedicure and the lady skipped the entire massage. Rubbed some lotion on my legs for 20 seconds and started painting. Probably because I didn't agree to do the deluxe pedicure. I've made an appointment before and still waited 40 minutes. Also, they'll stick your feet in burning hot water and let you soak for 20+ minutes before ever helping you. They ALWAYS try to up sell items to take the most money from you as they can which is sad because they're already WAY over priced. The only reason I return is because they're the only salon in Deltona and honestly probably the only reason they're as busy as they are. The closest salon other than this one is 15+ minutes away.
