I've been going to this nail salon for years and years. I can actually say I have walked out of here every time with a smile on my face. From cleanliness to hospitality. I say that because the owner is the most understanding and down to earth person. A few weeks back, I had an incident here, nothing more than miscommunication between me and a nail tech (that I never usually go to) and it got resolved right away with Jimmy's help. I've come here for a very long time. Back before jimmy and his wife were even pregnant. I really love this place. The people are friendly and they are very attentive. The prices are very reasonable and they have a punch card for savings. The slain is clean and well lit with beautiful decor, updated massaging seats and large flat screens. The location is excellent. Decided to drive from Chicago to Spa Nail to treat myself after 3 months no mani/pedi. Maggie did my pedicure and did a phenomenal job! My feet look better than they have in forever! I am very particular about my nails and Jimmy was amazing. He did exactly what I asked and they came out perfect. Due to CoVid 19 I would recommend an appointment as walk ins have to wait in their cars (smart). They were punctual and professional and the prices were reasonable! There is a small CoVid 19 surcharge (not a tax) but honestly these business deserve it after losing so much money during the stay at home order. I will start off by saying that I rarely write reviews but I could not rest until I did and if I could give it zero stars, I would! I write this because I would not wish this experience on anyone else and a review like this would have helped me steer clear of this place (or at least this nail tech) It's not often that I treat myself to have my nails done. With the rise in cost of everything this was definitely a BIG treat for me, one that I was very much looking forward to. Upon arriving I was kindly greeted and was assigned an older Asian female. I needed a full set and so she began. I have had my nails done several times but never at this location. As she began, I noticed that she did not seem to be very experienced (imo) but I wanted to give her the benefit and allow her to provide her services. As she began to glue the tips, I noticed she was not measuring beforehand causing many of the tips to not fit properly. She also was very skimpy with the glue and left several air pockets between the tip and my nail. I had to ask her to fill them in but that wasn't very successful since the air was trapped inside. I had requested a painted French tip so she definitely should have been more attentive since this would be visible. As she proceeded she asked if I wanted them thick or thin. I responded thin... In what seemed to be her inexperience she laid the acrylic on VERY thick. I asked if they were going to be thin and she assured me they would be. After working on my nails (filing for what seemed to be forever) a younger male stepped in to assist and "correct " her work. I was very thankful for his attempt as he definitely knew what he was doing and was much more experienced. Sadly, the damage had been done... my nails looked AWFUL! She asked me if I wanted two coats of gel and I asked asked her if that was extra. She replied "yes" so I declined. HOWEVER her male co-either overheard her and told me it was no extra charge she then laughed and sarcastically said she could do 3 or 4 coats if I wanted. That was the FINAL STRAW I LOST IT!!! In my vast disappointment the additional sarcasm I LITERALLY (no joke LITERALLY) began to shed tears! I was in disbelief and realized that this was such a WASTE of money! I HAD TWO CHOICES 1. Walk out without paying 2. Pay and NEVER return!!! I did the latter and paid. I hope this NEVER HAPPENS TO ANYONE ELSE! If this review is helpful to even one person then it has accomplished much. When I showed my husband he said they looked like bubbles I regret not getting her name but she was an older Asian lady with shoulder length dark hair. Needless to say, I will NEVER be returning ... Had a horrible and painful experience here yesterday when my granddaughter and I went in for mani pedis. During the drilling procedure of removing the old gel on my nail, a young man who truly would not give me his name, sliced the top of my finger. He felt bad and apologized and treated it with first aid, however, it hurt like h, and continued to burn every time he put some type of material on my nail! It was truly quite painful and still is today! I hinted toward a possible discount due to the trauma,however it was never offered! I'm not the type of person to start a big loud scene in public, but in this situation I think I should have. It cost $110 for my granddaughter and I, she does not have gel, and no discount offered! In addition after we got in the car my granddaughter told me that the lady that did her nails actually smelled and had food caked in her teeth with bad breath! Oh my goodness what an experience! I have been coming here for about 6 months and it is mostly all good. They are professional, the facility is very clean, and they do a great job for a great price. They also have a rewards program which is great (except that I ALWAYS forget mine, but that's my own fault!) They are located in a pretty busy area so sometimes parking is a bit of an issue, but there are side lots that just require a little walking. They have a good selection of colors and service options, including your normal lineup of nail care, but also waxing. I always get a no-chip manicure, and they normally do a phenomenal job. I've been other places where they just glob on the polish and you end up with what I call flower bulb fingers, with just a huge amount of polish at the end of your fingers. Not here, they do a great job. I play contact sports so I always expect to have a broken nail or two before I go back, but they make sure to paint to the edges so I very rarely have a problem. I did go recently and have a less than satisfactory experience. A friend and I met at the salon and were clearly wanting to be together so that we could chat while we were there. We were by no means being disrespectful with our tone or topic. They kept insisting that we move to completely different sides of the salon. When we said that we wanted to sit together the one lady audibly sighed and rolled her eyes. I got Aura nails (they use a magnet to give it a space look), and while I like my nails the lady clearly just set the magnet down on one of my nails so there is a texture to it. She consistently hurt my cuticles and every time I would say "ouch" or something like that she would say "O sorry" and then go back with the same intensity. She also left a lot of nail unpainted all around. If I wanted that, I would have bought a nail wrap and done it myself. My friend paid extra for a cat eye. The guy who did it clearly had no idea what he was doing, as he kept going to get different and more tools, etc. It didn't end up looking at all like the cat eye and she was still charged the extra for it. Ultimately, I'm normally very satisfied with the service here, but from now on I will wait a little extra to make sure I get one of the folks who has done great work for me in the past. read more

This location is horrific. Left me sitting for 30+ minutes in cold water talking on the phone while waiting for another person to do a pedi. When asking for a towel they said just one minute... needless to say they didn't bring me a towel until I asked twice. They started to talk about me for wanting to leave. Horrible service,, went on Monday 1/26/2015 and the lady took 2 hrs to do my nails (NO CHIP) and by Wednesday they were chipped, but I work 10am-9pm and unable to go back til Saturday 1/31/2015 and they did them for free, however today is Monday 2/2/2015and they are chipped again,,, I went back and asked for Refund and he said that he just done them for free, and I said yes, cause they were chipped and then he said that he doesn't know what I do,,, and he doesn't give refunds,, So I advised him that I would for sure write a BAD REVIEW for them.... and will NEVER be back..... I have never felt the need to leave a negative review on a nail salon until now. Have had my nails done for many years at other salons and have never had such as awful experience, ever. The NT (Nail Tech - a male) had very dirty/sticky hands with dirt under his own nails. Did not wash his hands after finishing up with customer before me. I had a no chip manicure which is pricey in the first place and one expects and should have better service. The NT filed not only my nails hastily but surrounding skin. I soaked in a bowl of plain cold water. No cuticle cream was applied either.. Cuticles were not tended to properly. NT Used a clipper from a sealed package but then looked at the clipper and I even saw crude on it. NT put it aside and pulled open his drawer filled with junk and got a different clipper and used that on me. The polish was applied sub-par and sloppily. The light used to dry the polish was absolutely disgustingly gross and filthy. I didn't even want to touch any part of it. I was never asked to wash/rinse my hands before polish application which is always done. The NT was extremely fast and rushed during the manicure and did not take care to properly do a good job and make me feel comfortable. I felt really cheated out of what is usually a nice relaxing manicure elsewhere. Certainly, paying for this poor service was difficult to do. Nope - definitely will never go back but felt a need to give a head's up to other's who may want to try this salon. I went here for a mani/pedi with my niece in February and I ended up waiting for over a half hour for anyone to do my feet while they got all pruney soaking in the tub. I wanted to get a manicure too, but we were already running late for our dinner reservations, so I skipped it. I recently got my nails done for Easter and I was very disappointed. During my pedicure, the nail technician went off and waxed some lady's eyebrows. THEN, in the middle of my manicure, she stops to look at a food menu for several minutes. After she trims my nails, she tells me to move to the station behind me. When I sit down, I was surprised to see someone else sit down to finish my nails while she goes off and orders food. She was distracted the entire time she was giving me a manicure and she didn't even push my cuticles back. My nails look like they are already growing out and it's only been three days and two of my nails chipped (and that's after getting a NO CHIP manicure). It was a complete waste a money, the shop was dirty and they had very bad business manners. They will NEVER be getting my business again. read more
