I have a confession to make: sometimes, I really suck at being girlie. I know! Shocker! Take, for example, my nails. Up until yesterday, I had not had a manicure or pedicure in almost a decade. Maybe that is the reason why, during the course of my manicure and pedicure, my nail salon technician made my cuticles bleed not once, not twice, but FOUR times. Perhaps she took one look at my nails, neglected for eight years, and thought to herself, "Kill them with fire!" I mean, I don't know how to say, "This white girl has *nasty* cuticles" in Vietnamese, but when something really comes from the heart, you don't need words. Whatever the case, I don't recall seeing so much blood during the last mani/pedi I received, but that *was* eight years ago, so what do I know? Maybe it's the new thing. Otherwise, not a bad experience. They have a big screen TV in the nail salon. I was the only customer in there at the time, so the other salon employees were watching Animal Cops on Animal Planet. They have massaging chairs at their pedicure stations, but I had to turn mine off after a few minutes as it's vigorous efforts to unclench the muscles in my back were starting to give me motion sickness. They use OPI nail polish, which I do remember from my last manicure eight years ago, and once the bleeding had stopped my nails looked really nice. I just hope they don't fall off due to gangrene. read more

I come here because it's close to Texas state but I had a terrible experience. The place is neat and clean and the ladies are nice but I asked for something and received the complete opposite. I even showed pictures so she understood exactly what I wanted and continued to make my nails shorter then what I asked for as well as the shape being completely different from what I requested. I want to preface my review by saying I understand doing nails is not always the easiest task. I went in for new acrylic set on my fingers. I asked for one of the designs they had showcased at the front of the shop. The nail technician didnt protest and seemed to understand what I wanted, black base with little heart pieces at the top. I first knew something was up when I asked the tech if they could fix the spacing of the hearts on one nail and they said no??? After one failed attempt to create the look due to an issue with the acrylic powder not properly becoming clear, she tried again with a little more success but still not really solving the issue. When trying to fix them the tech was obviously annoyed, yet she didn't seem to be trying to take her time to fix the issue. When the nails were "done" they still looked gritty and had white powder residue on the nail as well as acrylic all around my fingers. I went to pay and showed the cashier the issues I had with the nails and asked for a discounted rate, but they told me 50$ was discounted and they were originally going to charge me 55$. The nails are nowhere near 50$ quality and I begged them to let me pay only 40$ (generous for the quality of work). They refused and only lowered the price to 45$. I walked away very displeased and quite honestly I cried when I got to my car. I am a college student and I was getting these nails as a treat for myself, as normally I don't have money to spend on nails. The staff was not understanding and refused to own up to their cruddy nail work. When I complained at the register she offered to redo them but they already restarted them once with no luck and quite frankly the acrylic was just getting thicker and thicker. My only wish is that when they realized they couldn't do the design they would've told me and I could've had them stop. I know they are aware of the poor quality and at that point, they should've lowered the price more than five dollars. I don't have the money to get these nails removed and my nails are not healthy enough to get this set replaced. I will not be coming back here and I will definitely tell my friends about my experience here. read more

I was happy to find a place open in the evening (7pm). I was surprised when they could see me right away. Pedicure water was cold (when every pedicure I've had in the past was hot water). Employee seemed bothered when I asked her to warm it. Employee cut me when cutting my nails. She cut my toenails so short, I'm concerned I will get an ingrown nail. Then came the hot towels. Ouch! I have been going to this establishment for almost 7 years and previously would have given it a 5-star rating but there has been a dramatic drop in its quality since new management took over a few years ago. Also, don't expect to make an appointment and have your service start at the time you selected. They are almost always running behind and when they say, "5 minutes", they really mean 15. Also, do not expect to have an appointment with the individual you ask for. I recently had an appointment and waited 10 minutes for my nail stylist to show up. I later was informed she would not be there for another 45 minutes and that if I wanted to be seen, it had to be by someone else. Generally, pedicures done by any one there will be average but you have to be very selective if you want to get solar nails. I had solar nails done by a new person because my regular was not there and they started to separate from my nail bed in just a week! Like I said, there service has gone down the drain and with so many other places to choose from, why waste your time? read more

I went in to get my gel manicure removed, it was chipping 3 days after getting it done. So I sat and soaked the polish off. When the lady came to finish my nails, she POURED THE ACETONE BACK IN THE BOTTLE. Now I know it's acetone so it shouldn't pass and bacteria, but I am so grossed out that it's reused. I came to this shop last weekend to get my nails done for a party and I was very pleased with the service. I was greeted immediately and the wait was not long at all, considering how busy they were. My nail technician was friendly, professional, and she took her time to make sure my nails looked perfect. I was even impressed that they have a liner. Horrible service! I came in and waited way longer than they said the wait was. Not only that but the guy who did my nails was super rough and was just trying to get me in and out going as fast as he could. I had a manicure and he literally slapped on the lotion, rubbed it in a little bit and told me to go wash. Nail salons are so busy on the weekend and when I walked by Spa Pro Nails, I noticed they stayed open until 7 on weeknights. Yesterday after work, I was there by 5:30pm, parked and when I got to the door the staff was leaving. They said that they were closed, could I come back at 10am. I told them that people who work can't come at 10am. All they said was "sorry, closed." So don't count on the hours clearly marked on the door being correct. If they are going to close at 5:30 - they should post their hours that way. read more

DON'T GO HERE. I usually don't write reviews for places, good or bad but I had such a terrible experience here I want it to be public. I've been here once and had a decent experience which is why I gave it another go but the second time around was such a mistake. I went in for a manicure and pedicure. First, the tech I had spoke no English whatsoever. She had to ask another person who was working on another client every time she needed to speak to me. Which wasn't a big deal at first until the second tech, a younger girl, got a major attitude. I had noticed that my big toes hadn't been filed to be a straight line, they were very slanted which would have driven me crazy. I asked politely if they could be filed to be straight across. I know, the nerve of me. The younger tech came over and proceeded to file my nail very aggressively until it actually burned my toe and said "There. They're straight now." I was completely taken aback and let the other tech finish my pedicure. I paid for the pedicure and went somewhere else for my manicure.
