Plenty of current, on trend colors to choose from. I also opted for a neutral Shellac manicure. One huge annoyance was the gal that did my manicure. She kept popping my wrist when I wouldn't relax my hand. After a while I was about ready to pop her back! I am an adult and I do not need to be disciplined! Went on a Friday night.. It was pretty busy but I got in with no wait for a pedicure. I'm from out of town so I never know what to expect when I go to a new nail salon. I don't ever get the time to relax, so when I do I wanna enjoy it to the fullest. And even though I came in at 7 and they close at 8 he didn't try to rush through it. Hands down my favorite nail salon in San Marcos. It's adorable, I love the nail techs, they have such hospitality, and they don't let you leave unless you're 100% satisfied. The salon is clean, and they clean out the pedicure tub right in front of you to insure cleanliness. The lavender pedicure is my go to. It smells heavenly and feels amazing. And the gel is always manicure. It lasts about a week and a half for me because I'm very active and always doing things with my hands. I.e yoga, swimming, cooking. Not a great place to get your nails done. It's nice they're open later than most stores, but my experience was not great compared to other places i've been to. I got fake nails and one was a little crooked and I got some that were a little bigger than my nail. However, my main issue with this place is how I had my fake nails removed a week later. The guy just took a fake nail and peeled them off, not only does that hurt, it's extremely damaging to your nails. I didn't say anything, but I'm pretty sure the correct method is soaking the nails in acetone then removing. A part of my nail came off in the process, and it wasn't exactly pleasant to heal. The staff are friendly and eager to please, and they seem to really take the massage portion of your manicure very seriously. I'm always satisfied with my manicure and they are always very interested in making sure you walk away happy. They have a decent selection of OPI colors as well as a handful of other brands, and everything is very clean and hygienic. I asked for gel powder ombré from the beginning and she didn't use the color I wanted (red and black) she used regular nail polish over plain gel and tried to tell me the ombré wouldn't work with black AFTER she painted all my nails fully black when I told her at the beginning what I wanted. So she got an attitude with me saying "if it doesn't look right I'm not gonna take it off!" And was generally rude when she pulled out glitter that I didn't ask for and made this "ombré". It's an obvious line of glitter it's not even ombré and I asked for coffin shape and she did huge flat squares on my right hand, and then she told me it's $55 for this MESS. I usually don't write reviews, but I was not impressed with this salon whatsoever. I am in San Marcos for college, and usually get my nails done back home. I needed them done so I thought I would try this place. I am usually very understanding as long as a manicurist will work with me and make sure that my nails are to my liking. Today was not one of those days. I went in around 4:15 (my first time in) asking if they had enough time to do a refill on my acrylic nails. They said yes, so I sat down and waited until a younger guy called me over. The first color that I chose, he told me they didn't have anymore (which was fine, I can live with that), so I chose another color and waited for him to start on my nails. He was not very thorough with filing off my old powder acrylics, which were a light white color, I might add. I chose a darker nude color, which would easily cover and remnants of the old acrylic. He applied the new powder very messily, and wasn't covering the sides of my nails, which I pointed out to him and he said it was the old color peeking through (which it wasn't, he just didn't put any powder there). I was getting very frustrated as he just kept applying the powder without any attention to detail. After he was done applying the powder, he asked what shape I wanted my nails. I said square with rounded edges. He never once filed down the sides, so now my fingernails look like rectangles. I even asked if he could please make it rounder, which he ignored. He then told me to go wash my hands, and when I was walking back I noticed that on my middle fingernail, he had filed the tops down so much that there was no color left on the ends, just my natural nail. I said something to him, and he seemed to get frustrated. We were both frustrated, because he was obviously ready to leave. I walked out of the salon about 20 minutes ago very upset with how my nails turned out, especially for $30. I sit here filing my nails as I type this review. I will not be back and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

Nicely maintained salon close to the campus. The salon is open and airy, and the club music makes it fun. They seem to be very eager to please their customers. There is a parking lot with plenty of parking. Great pedicures; inexpensive and last for about an hour, very thorough. I've been coming here for about 3 months now, and Dominique provides the best pink and white manicure I've had in a long time. She does a perfect job, is very meticulous, and my manicure always lasts 2-3 weeks. I recommend making an appointment, even though they take a lot of walk-ins. I am patient and I can wait 20-25 minutes before, but I waited almost 30 minutes for them to be done painting my toes after my pedicure. They just really need more staff ASAP :( read more

I am sitting here now getting a pedicure and decided I would go ahead and write this while he finishes my pedicure. First, you should know that they are very rough. He chose to try to remove my shellac with a course nail file instead of soaking it off as they should. Twice I said, "I can wait for it to soak off." But he refused. He consistently filed my cuticle even after I said it hurt. So once I put my feet back in the water, it stung. I asked for Shellac and was told it would be $20 extra. That's extremely over-priced! Nothing at all about this pedicure felt luxurious. They would start and stop as the phone rang or if someone came in. They actually interrupted pedicures to do a waxing on other customers. And every time you complain that its too rough, they look at each other and talk in Vietnamese. I suggest (which I already knew) that if you want a nice service, go to a full service professional salon. You might pay more, but it's worth it in the end. read more
