This was the worst couples massage we have ever had. Do not go here. They called me twice before hand to Change the time because someone was late. We arrive and they were waiting for the 2nd technician to arrive still so the receptionist started on my husband. Then when the girl arrived they swapped. Both technicians left the room at least 5 times each answering phone calls, bells from the front door. We paid for 120 minutes and only got about 100. Also more then half of the message was them pushing are backs on top of a sheet. Never even got to the front side of my husband or I. Mind you We have had many massages with rocks. The outside doesn't look like much but once you get in your greated with peaceful music and a calming atmosphere. Had the most amazing experience here last Saturday and I will definitely be back! The staff were so kind and accommodating. My masseuse was excellent and the hot stone and moisturizing facial add-ons were so worth it. The price was also very reasonable. When I googled serenity spa, I didn't realize there were many in North County San Diego so I assumed I was going to one that was a 4.9 star. Someone called me about 45 minutes before our appointment and asked if we could come 20 minutes late because the people before us were late and would that be OK...which I said no problem. The real problem started when we walked in and was told that one of the head Spas doesn't work. This was for me and my daughter so they wanted to do the head spa on her first, massage on me and then switch. Again, no problem however, the massage was behind curtains where the women working there were back-and-forth through the curtains talking. You're not in a room, you could hear everything so I didn't even take my clothes off because I didn't feel comfortable for the massage. Then when it was my turn for the head spa all she did was wash my hair which we had a scalp detox treatment that was supposed to be 90 minutes with shoulder, massage, head,, etc. she sprayed water all over my face because she was using a handheld water hose and then would turned on the machine twice where it made a lot of noise you could tell it was almost broken, plus the flow was very low. Finally, she went to ring someone up so I got up and started to put my shoes on as I had taken those off and she said wait, I didn't put in your hair oil on ..:: after I spotted the CVS brand products, I said "what hair oil were you wanting to put on?" and I kid you not the bottle said SHAVE OIL! I looked at her and said absolutely not that is to shave your legs or a beard!! Do not go to this place. I don't even believe that their licensed or they would lose it because it was not clean.... totally disorganized and it was a terrible experience which is a bummer because my daughter was visiting from out of town and I was trying to do something nice for the both of us.. I came here 3x and each time was great !! I came here for a couples massgae which was great. My husband and i loved it. It was like going to convoy without the travel to convoy. I bought a groupon only to find out it was cheaper buying with them. The second time, I came for a facial. Ive never had a facial before and it was pretty good. We went to Spa serenity in Escondito on Sunday 7/26 for my birthday massage. We had called and confirmed our couples massage the day before but when we got there at 11:25 am the ladies there seemed to not know we were coming. They told us to wait a few minutes then put us in a room. She was asking us what we wanted, when I started to tell her she ignored me and only wanted to listen to my husband. They left so we could undress and didn't come back for a little while. We were scheduled for 90 min and we figured they started about 11:40. The massage was ok, but at 12:45 someone else came in for their appt. My lady left to talk to her and seemed surprised to have another client. They rushed the rest of our massage and then left. When I looked at the time it was only 12:55pm. Not only was the massage not good, but they shorted us on at least 15 min. My husband said his massage was terrible. Do not go here. We arrived and it was a real hassle to try to get her to scan my phone when I could have just printed out the Groupon, but the guy on the phone told my husband, DON't print, bring phone. YEAH, because the lady kept trying to hit 5 stars on my phone. There was barely (5 minutes) a massage, mostly petted us through the sheet. I called before coming in, and the person who answered asked how long it would take me to get there. I said 10 minutes, and they told me to come in. I had a 90-minute massage Groupon voucher and was excited to try this place for the first time. When I arrived, the front desk lady spoke no English. I showed her my voucher, and she called someone while I just stood there waiting. She then asked if I had an appointment. I tried to explain that I had called earlier and was told it was okay to come in. She then took me outside and pointed to the store's phone number on the door to confirm that I had called the right place (which I did, I showed her my phone recents) and said it was her boss's number... umm okay? They couldn't take me in because they had an appointment in 30 minutes. The only thing she kept saying was "no, no," and she didn't even try to apologize. Another staff came out, they talked to each other in Chinese. This other girl looked pissed and just left. I hate places lacking professionalism. I sheduled a 60 minute massage. There were lots of starts and stops which disrupts the flow. At one point a customer came in and the masseur left me for about 8 mins. It is located in the same complex as the Walgreens. The staff does everything they can to overcome the parking lot noise. But. It's a parking lot. Honestly I just listened to the meditative music and relaxed, however I can see where someone could be picky about this. Pro-tips: Make appointment online AND CONFIRM your appointment I made my appointment online for a facial and message. I got reminder texts and a text to confirm the appointment. Be a good human, and hit the confirm button. This is a small business and they need to know if you're going to be there or not. I checked in, and the staff told me right away, that I had selected a facial that maybe wasn't the best for my situation (or wallet). They quickly educated me and save me money and time, and got the right appointment for me. I appreciated this transparency and looking out for me!! I settled in and had a lovely relaxing massage. Sprained muscles after a massage was not what I was hoping for! My husband purchased a Groupon for me as a gift for a massage and facial treatment. I was looking forward to it for months and finally got around to booking an appointment. I usually hold a lot of stress and tension in my trap muscles and was looking for a great massage to release the tension, but what I got was some kind of chiropractor treatment. While laying face down on the table, the masseuse put one of my arms behind my back and pulled my arm as far back as she could. This hurt and felt unnatural, but I pushed through it thinking that she knew what she was doing, and I would leave feeling relaxed.
