This place is a little slice of heaven. Everything was absolutely amazing. Booked a same day couples massage and it was the best idea for this rainy weekend. The entrance is so peaceful with waterfall and beautiful flowers everywhere. The relaxation begins as soon as you walk in. First is tea room where you enjoy a foot soak with rose petals, heated neck pillows and foot massage. The massage tables had rose petals on the blankets. The massage was great! DO NOT BOOK FOR THE MORNING! Be advised this review is for the business not for my masseuse, I didn't get her name but she was wonderful. She did a great job on my deep tissue and really dug into the places where I needed it the most. My appointment was for 10am for a one-hour massage and I had never been here so I arrived a little early to fill out any paperwork that needed to be completed. The parking situation is strange (there are places for 30, 60, and 90 minute parking only). I found a 90 min spot and parked at around 945. This business OPENS at 10 meaning that ppl arrive at 10:02. I was let in at 10:02 and given a paper to fill out with my information like normal. After a bit I was given some tea and thanked for waiting. After about 10 minutes I was shown to a "room" made of a couple of curtains so that I could change into a robe. A guy was changing in the "room" next to me and I totes got a glimpse...not private in any way. I put my things in the locker and went into the foot spa room which was nice. There were some goodies there but I didn't know if they were for me or just in general for myself and the guy I assumed was coming in as well??? No one mentioned it to me so I didn't touch it. The entire time before I went in the massage room the door to the reception area was open allowing all kinds of noise to be heard while I was supposed to be relaxing. Someone dropped like 3 things, sounded like a stapler? I dunno but it wasn't relaxing. Finally I was shown to my room so that I could get the massage I paid for. It was thorough and hard and she focused on my shoulders as we discussed before the session. It was very good. Unfortunately I wasn't able to relax very well because I was working about getting a parking ticket as a result of going over 90 minutes of parking. After the session was finished, I paid (and had to ask for my card back as the guy was taking calls and not paying attention to the person in front of him) then rushed to my car to see if I had a ticket. Before running out, I checked the time and it was 11:42!!! The 1 hour massage went way over meaning I was over my 90 minute parking. I had been in my parking space almost 2 hours. Luckily I didn't have a ticket but the experience was NOT relaxing in anyway. I won't be back. Too bad, the masseuse was good. UPDATE: The owner called today and offered to not only refund me for yesterdays massage but to also give me a gift certificate for another on the house! He was kind, understanding, and very generous. Just a really wonderful place that does everything absolutely right. They squeezed me in for a last minute appt and had tea, fruit, and a foot soak waiting for me. The experience started off really well - I called to make the appointment and we were told that since we were celebrating our "anniversary" and my birthday that they would be able to give us champagne and strawberries on the house. So we went for a couples massage, and I saw from another review about 1 of the couple rooms being more noisy than the other, so I asked about the two rooms. The receptionist gave me the option to choose which room I wanted, and when I chose the quieter of the two (with doors), she took it back, and we got the room with the curtains. Pros - MILLY! The reviews didn't lie, Milly was awesome, I must say - Warm neck pillow and foot soak was nice, although my neck pillow smelled weird - Pricing isn't bad - We got a 90 min couples swedish massage for $180 + tip - Ginger tea was yummy Cons - They rushed us out as soon as the massage was over - when I called on the phone the receptionist told me that we'd be able to sit around and relax, and this was NOT the case. Their online appointment system also caused a scheduling problem more than once for me, so I'd advise calling to make your appointment instead. For being tucked away in a strip mall, this place is beyond legit!!!! Tracy, the owner, is super sweet and an amazing masseuse. The ambience is super relaxing - dark with just enough lighting. The service though is what brings this place above and beyond - they start with a foot soak and heated neck pillow with ginger tea, mint infused water and fruit. I got a legit shiatsu massage with aroma therapy and Tracy was just super pleasant. Afterwards, I had more delicious water, a blueberry smoothie and trail mix. The staff was all very friendly and the robes and soft and plush as you sit and have your feet soaked prior to the massage. After an awesome deep tissue massage by Lisa, I was greeted with mint and berry infused carafe of iced water and trail mix. You can't find better service for this price. I just took my boyfriend for his first massage for his birthday, and let me tell you, he couldn't be happier. The friendliness and accommodation from the first moment we walked in until the moment we left was absolutely astonishing. They went above and beyond to make the experience incredible for him, from the foot soak and ginger tea, to the absolutely phenomenal massage Mark gave him, of a variety of techniques that eased all his aches and pains. And then to top it off, they gave him ice cream before we left. But what was the most incredible part for me was the absolutely delightful woman at the front desk who offered me a 10 min complimentary neck massage and gave us a rose on the way out. This spa has to be one of the most professional, cleanest, relaxing spas I have been to in Los Angeles. My boyfriend and I scheduled a 60 minute couples deep-tissue massage. We were greeted as soon as we walked in & refreshments (mint water, chocolate & fruit) were waiting. Every employee I encountered had a smile on their face and asked if there was anything they could do for me. This was the first time my boyfriend and I have both been extremely happy with our services. I guess you know the place is very serious when your masseuse gets on the table and straddles you to work out the stress in your back with her knees and feet. After our massages we talked with Lin, Tricia (our masseuses) and Tracy, while enjoying fresh ginger tea and nuts. Our experience was above and beyond amazing. Our masseuses were very knowledgeable with great experience. I believe most of the staff work with cancer patients. This business also gives back to the community! Came here about 1 month ago. I like the rain forest style decorations. I believe it had just opened when me and my boyfriend attended. We got same day appointments which was wonderful. They do couples massages and just take out the middle spacer. Unfortunately, they didn't have a robe large enough for boyfriend. The massage therapist didn't seem in sync to us. One started way before the other. There was no introduction from one of them to me. I don't recall the names. Very nice people. I would definitely go again. I got a massage here once...tl;dr = cool atmosphere, nice staff, sh*tty massage. First, I was excited that they offered Shiatsu massages (a japanese version of the deep tissue). When I called to confirm that it was an authentic Japanese Shiatsu, the receptionist basically told me "I used to live in Japan and it's legit...and the massage practitioners have a ton of experience." So I decided to give it a whirl. Unfortunately...the first thing about shiatsu is that it's almost always performed through a thin shiatsu robe, and without any oils. (It is described on wikipedia as, "People usually receive shiatsu therapy while lying on a floor mat or massage table or sitting up. The massage is performed through the clothing--preferably a thin garment made from natural fibers--and disrobing is not required. Pressure is often applied using the thumbs, though various other parts of the body may be employed, including fingertips, palms, knuckles, elbows, and knees--some therapists even use their feet. Shiatsu typically consists of sustained pressure (lasting up to 10 seconds at a time), squeezing, and stretching exercises. It may also involve gentle holding as well as rocking motions. A treatment session lasts anywhere from 30 to 90 minutes.") I should have left when they gave me a white fluffy robe...but I said, "why not, I'm already here" and decided to go with the flow. The massage therapist then started to use oils...and tickling my body...it was almost a combination of a Swedish and a light tickle. It was very strange but I felt bad so I didn't leave and just tried hard to fall asleep. As we walked in the door, they greeted us with warm ginger tea, cold mint/orange infused water and fruit as we filled out paper work before we went in. We then went in a tearoom where we enjoyed a warm medicated foot bath and a heated herbal neck wrap. After, it was on to the massage room, where the tables had rose petals on them, which was a fun detail. After it was finished, they gave us more water, some fresh blueberry smoothie and a little trail mix. We both felt like our well being really matter. I really wanted to like this spa. I am in so much pain today and have bruises developing in several areas. I'm not sure these massage therapist are licensed? I spent all morning icing my back because the therapist dug their elbows so hard and deep into my back in areas that felt like incorrect pressure points.. like running elbows across my bones. I have a high pain threshold, and if the therapist used 75% less pressure, it would have been considered firm. I figured maybe I was just really in bad shape and should take it.. so I did. It was a bad call. I could barely even walk because even my feet are sore from being massaged so hard. Now, I am having a hard time sleeping because it feels like I was beat up violently. They were courteous and not lacking costumer service. For the same price, I got an excellent massage somewhere else local and they actually had spa facilities available like shower and steam. If they provided a great massage, the price would definitely be worth it.. even without all of the amenities. I think their customer service is their high point. The massage is the low.. it was on the verge of being traumatic. My boyfriend can't even lightly run his hands behind my back because it feels inflamed and bruised. read more

I had a 30-minute massage with Michael and it was wonderful! He used some stretching techniques and massage, and everything felt awesome! Afterwards they offered me fruit and spa water. I met John, one of the owners, at an event in Culver City. He was very nice and mentioned that I should stop by and check the place out. I do not live in California, so I told him the next time I come to LA, I would check it out. Today was my first time to Spa Soleil and it was wonderful! First, the staff was very accommodating due to my travel changes. (you know how airlines can be) Even though I was about 4 hours delayed they were still able to get me in. Upon arriving, I was greeted by very courteous staff. As I sat to fill out my paperwork I was given fresh mint water and fruit, and the mint water was very refreshing. I was then escorted to the back where I was given a soft robe and slippers to change into. The whole facility was very tranquil and set the mood for a great massage. It started out with a warm foot soaking bath and a heated shoulder massage. This was a great way to start the relaxation. I was also given some warm homemade tea that helped to relax me even further. After about 15 minutes, I was moved to a massage table, where I received a wonderful massage. My masseuse was able to pin point my stress areas and work them out. She was also able to rejuvenate my tired body after 15 hours of straight traveling. As if this experience couldn't get any better, I was told that it was free! During our initial meeting, John and I had talked about my military service. I am a Wounded Warrior from Operation Iraqi Freedom. I was medically retired after I put my femur through my pelvic bone and destroyed my hip. Spa Soleil offers Wounded Warriors a free massage and discounts to the military. What a find! This place is great. It's located in a little shopping plaza with a parking lot. You'll find parking easily. Right when you walk in, you'll be greeted by someone and feel like you're away from the hustle and bustle of LA. We booked an appointment for a couples massage, same-day. We were taken back and given robes and sandals to change into. They will give you a secure locker to lock your stuff in while you are getting pampered. Right after changing, you'll go down the hall where you can dip your feet in some hot water. They'll have a plate of little snacks, water, and ginger tea for you to eat and drink. You will also get a neck warmer to top it off. After relaxing for a bit, someone will come and get you to bring you to your massage table. We opted for the Swedish massage for an hour and a half. My husband and I both enjoyed our massages from head to toe. The masseuses were really great. Finally, at the end of your massage, you'll be treated to another plate of snacks, water, and ginger tea.
