The audacity of this place amazes me. My husband bought me the Restore Spa package for Christmas. He spent so much time comparing local spas and decided to go with this one because what they offered with the package at the time sounded phenomenal and when he booked it they even offered wine spritzer cocktails to enjoy during the experience. He was super excited for me to use the gift. I called and booked the appt in March (certificate didn't expire for 2 years). When I arrived I didn't quite know what to expect as my husband wanted it to be a relaxing surprise. The ladies that performed the actual services were great. You could tell they had to try and sell the products they used because there was some pressure during and after the treatments to buy extra products. The kicker of this whole experience was when I got to the counter to pay for the product... They told me the balance due for the services rendered was $120!!! That was just for the services... no product. I asked them why I owed anything as this package was a gift from my husband and their response was: Sorry, we had to make some changes to this package and it's more expensive now than it was back when he bought it. REALLY!? I was never explained this when I made the appointment nor was I told during the services. This was a GIFT for a whole day spa package... shouldn't that gift be honored at the agreed price it was purchased for? This baffles me. At the time I was in a really good mood so I agreed to pay but asked them to look into it and get back to me as soon as possible to rectify the issue. As soon as I got home my husband asked me how everything was and explained to him what happened. He was LIVID! He spent over an hour on the phone when he bought the certificate to ensure I'd be taken care of. On top of that I never received the wine spritzer cocktails he was promised either!! This is just bad business all around. It's been 3 weeks with no resolve. I've called and left messages with no call backs. Do we really have to come in to cause a scene before this issue is rectified? I'm a business owner myself and I would never treat a customer/client this way. Completely unacceptable. UPDATE: The owner replied below saying they offered several solutions to me which never happened. I was never informed of the package changing or the price increasing until my services were done and they were asking for payment. The girl at the front desk said she'd have someone call me to see what they could do but no call was ever made. I called and left a message (no one ever answers the phone) to have a manager call me and I have yet to be contacted. read more

OKAY so I posted a review on google as well, but I just feel like I had to spread the good word as much as possible just based off my personal experience. So first off, WOW!! I'm a guy, so I'm not exactly all into the whole massage, pedicure and manicure hype as much as many others. But holy smokes. I was chasing the railroad around the midwest for the previous 3 weeks before landing back in my hometown of Boise, and for the first time ever I decided I would try out a professional massage. I read a ton of really good reviews about this place, so I decided to give it a shot. Karen was SUPER helpful and friendly when I first called, and she helped me book my appointment as well as got me settled in when I first arrived. My personal Massage Therapist was Marisa, and I could tell for sure that she knew exactly what she was doing. She was clearly a professional, and was incredibly educated with everything that needed done when I told her where my back was hurting. The vibe was also very calming and really helped me unwind. I was surprised by how comfortable the massage table was, I've heard they can sometimes be very uncomfortable haha, but this was not the case! I found this spa because my grandma was coming into town and wanted a massage. I yelped and was immediately impressed by the reviews Spa Urbana had. I set appointments online which was a breeze. It's a bit pricey $95/massage but after receiving the services, it's worth it. My grandma has a Nirvana massage by Christine and said it was absolutely fantastic. I had a Blues Be Gone by Mya and I can't wait to be back. I will absolutely be back and will recommend this to anyone that asks. read more

No masks, horrible customer service. I was so excited to use my Mother's Day gift certificate for a massage but arrived at the spa to discover not one employee wearing a mask. I have an immune compromised, unvaccinated child and can't take the risk of bringing home the virus. I had no choice but to leave, as I felt unsafe. They said they could scrounge up a mask somewhere for the therapist, but I didn't want to be present at all where masks aren't implemented daily in a business that works intimately in close contact with clients. I was then CHARGED (unauthorized, with no warning) for the full cost of service for my late notice. So I was penalized for being safe and protecting my family. I understand the late cancellation/no show policy, but this circumstance was unique. It was like being told "your safety doesn't matter to us." If you worry about COVID protocols in local business, DO NOT visit this spa. read more

I booked the blue eucalyptus massage with the wild lime scalp treatment for my boyfriend's birthday. I had such an amazing experience! My masseuse was Lynn and I explained to her from the beginning that I had a pretty bad sunburn from the fourth of July. She was understanding and worked around it and very lightly on top of it while she was massaging me. The treatment itself left me and my boyfriend feeling very relaxed. This is a great spa located in the heart of downtown. The facility is very clean and had a serene vibe to it. Love it! read more

My daughters treated me to the Alpine Arnica Massage for my Birthday Last Thursday. First and foremost this was literally the best massage I have ever had, Story delivered perfectly. She was not at all intrusive with her touch nor did I fell one bit uncomfortable with her, she explained everything as we went along with my treatment. Although I'm pretty sure I will book my next massage with her a bit later in the day as I was so relaxed I went home and took a 3 hour nap I was so relaxed. I did regain my strength and made it to my Birthday Dinner and had a great evening. The next morning I woke so refreshed and not one ache or pain upon waking. I recently had an organic enzyme facial with Brandi at Spa Urbana and absolutely loved it!! I have had many facials before and this was by far the best I've ever had! The organic enzyme facial is not harsh but produces results. I loved the products they used on me so much that I purchased some of them! I purchased Somme Institute's "Core System" skin care products and absolutely love the results! I have tried every product on the market it seems but have never had any that gave me the results I wanted like the Somme products have. I never felt comfortable and the services performed were below average (4 diff procedures so I didn't go cheap). I can appreciate a good spa experience and this was very poor. I only have Boise Therapeutic Massage Center and some destination salons for comparison. I received a gift card for my Birthday for a 90 min massage and I was so excited to go. The staff was friendly, location was ok (considering its downtown-I was lucky to find a spot) and the massage was decent. I had an older gentleman and he asked me all the routine questions. His pressure was good and he made sure to ask how it was. Unfortunately I wasn't able to completely relax because he was loud. He chose to move around the room on a rolling chair and at one point tried to turn on a fan, which was making an awful clicking sound, so he turned it off. He spent, what felt like the majority of the time, on my neck. I didn't specify any areas that needed more time, I told him I was there for relaxation. Overall, I didn't really get what I came for. Most people have massage therapists like they have esthetician's, one you choose to see every visit. So, I'm still on the hunt. read more

After having another spa drop the ball on me by not returning my calls; I was asking what time my apt was for and waiting most of the day I decided to call spa Urbana. They were super super friendly and got me in the same day. I got a mani pedi from Cara, she did an amazing job. I had a blast chatting with her and the staff. They really make you feel welcome. I definitely will be returning, and not going back to Euphoria since they don't know how to follow through with confirmations and calling clients back. Overall, Spa Urbana is close to being able to excel. It's a nice spot right downtown, the decor and staff are gracious, and there is plenty of privacy for male, female, or coed services. But they need to up their service procedures and staff training (and cut down on the fragrances) before I can say they're awesome. This spa is decorated quite nicely - but don't go if you have any kind of issue with strong room fragrances. I had a headache before I even started my treatment. After calling and leaving a message requesting an appointment (during business hours), it took almost 24 hours for anyone to call me back. When they did, the receptionist graciously tried to upsell me into their most expensive service, when I clearly requested a mid-priced version. Then, at the end of the otherwise friendly convo, she asked if she could "just" get a credit card number. I asked if she needed it, and she said yes. It left a bad taste in my mouth, for sure. I didn't like the vote of no confidence that I'll attend an appointment I requested in the first place. Once I arrived, the fragrance was overwhelming (see above statement). And I had to wait almost 20 minutes for my service to begin...while I listened to the receptionist and her co-worker quietly gossip right in front of me. This surprised me a little, since their website clearly states that if customers are more than 10 minutes late, they'll receive less than the full treatment - in order to maintain others' appointment times. The service itself was nice and enjoyable, as was my provider. Sadly, no one introduced themselves, so I'm not sure who to refer people to in the future. The receptionist asked at the end of the service if I'd like to a) charge the card on file, and b) how much of a gratuity I'd like to add. It took me a second to process...and realize I had to ask her how much the appointment actually cost in the first place. Customers could be put off by the assumptive behavior - no matter how graciously delivered. It's an easy fix, though, and one I hope they make soon. read more

What a cozy and relaxing spa!!! I was visiting a friend in Boise for a couple of days and wanted to take her somewhere to relax. Yelped led me to this spa and it did not disappoint! Jude, the guy that took my appointment was so nice and accommodating. They didn't have a time slot open to take both my frjend and I but he made some phone calls and made it happen for us :) He greeted us with a warm smile and offered us some hot tea upon arrival. The gal that did my facial was wonderful. It was so relaxing that I dosed off a few times. I believe her name was Krista. They used all organic and natural products and left my skin feeling amazing!!! I took off one star because they didn't have a sauna or steam room. My husband and I recently moved to the area and wanted to get massages for Valentine's Day. I was super happy that this place could accommodate us on shorter notice (we booked a week out). When we arrived I really loved the downtown location and the overall ambiance. Our massages were amazing, the therapists are very skilled! For us, a big downfall was the lack of services for how much you're paying. Previous spas we've been in allow you to change into robes which is so much more comfortable, and offer more private waiting/relaxation areas. We had to hear the therapists talking about taking shots and other weekend charades which doesn't offend us but doesn't really get you in the relaxation mood. Overall, our massages were great but for the $180 you're paying I would expect a better relaxation area and to not be in street clothes the whole time. read more

I've been to Spa Urbana a few times in the last year and I have to say they never disappoint! I just had a baby 6 weeks ago and I was in desperate need of some relief and some relaxation. Amazing little hidden gem in downtown Boise. They were able to get me in same day. Friendly staff and super clean facility. I live in Las Vegas where we have some of the most amazing spas and let me tell you, this place ranks right up there. This is a beautiful spa with a professional staff. I needed to change my original appt due to an illness on my part, and had no problem rescheduling for a couple weeks later. I like that they're open weekends as it's not easy to relax for a couple hours on weekdays after work. I had a nirvana massage and a custom facial (my first) and was very pleased with both. After moving from Meridian to the East End of Boise I have struggled to find a good esthetician. I'm so glad I called Spa Urbana. Michelle did an amazing job with her services (I received a brow wax and tint, and eyelash tint). I can't explain how difficult it is to even receive a good shaped eyebrow wax anymore! Luckily she did amazingly. I now have a beauty home on this side of town.
