I'm writing to inform everyone not to purchase their gift certificates since there are no direct refunds for the certificates, not even to the original purchaser! I was very dissapointed since all businesses in the real world from Best Buy to McDonalds, offer a full refund if not satisfied or simply becuase you change your mind. I tried to return two $200 gift certificates within 7 days of purchase and was informed by the Manager that it is not possible. The only options are to either use them yourself, give it to someone else, or purchase any item in the store, but NO REFUND. What business kind of business is this? My cc company was unable to help since the credit slip I signed stated in fine print "store credit or exchange..". They rather make a quick buck instead of trying to accomodate their customers's requests so that everyone wins. That is the last time I will ever do business with them. BUYER BEWARE! On another note, my wife decides to give them a try since they were having a promotion and informed me that the quality was so so probably due to the promotional special. read more

Don't get your nails done here. This review is for the nail salon. Came here July 2014. The salon was under construction. Two ladies were working. One lady does not do acrylic. So I was working with the other lady. She couldn't tell when my nails are crooked. I had to file my own nails to get them straight. And she asked the other woman to double check. The other lady gave a half look and said she can't do acrylic anymore. I get it. You don't need to keep telling me. It took way too long to get them done. I wasted two hours. read more

Great experience. Reminds me of Burke Williams but smaller more intimate. Loved my massage by Evelyn, she worked on my knots, and enjoyed my scalp massage especially the hair pulling. This was my first time here, will definitely come again maybe try a facial. Only complain would be more tea variety and water with fruit maybe... I didn't like the green tea. Spa seeker beware!!! Like many of the other reviewers here, I also went to check the place out during "Spa Week" and feel it wasn't even worth the discounted $50. I'd rather pay more for a better experience. I had the Accupressure Facial and it was more painful than pleasureful. I developed a severe rash that didn't go away for days (I've had numerous facials before and have NEVER had this issue). Also, I wanted to treat my husband (a spa virgin) to a full body massage for his birthday. Big mistake - He told me he wouldn't be interested in having another massage ever again! :( I guess I should have gone with a more reputable place for his "first time." Here's the bottom line - If you're willing to shell out the dough for some pampering, go elsewhere or have buyer's remorse. read more

Spa Xanadu was exactly what I needed! I had so many things going on around me, it was time to take a break. I booked a special Eucalyptus mani/pedi that was featured on SpaWeek.com. The staff was very friendly and attentive and greeted me as soon as I walked in. Even offering a hot green tea to enjoy during my service. My technician, Julie, really took her time with me and did such a great job with my super fragile/short nails. She even went to get snacks and more tea. All smiles!! Next time, I'll be enjoying one of the massages that I'm reading so much about. I will definitely be booking again! read more

I just came back from a massage and had Evelyn as my massage therapist. She did an amazing job and the tension in my neck and shoulders is all out. I hate to write a bad review, it's just not me. This my first ever, because I feel so strongly and am so bothered by my experience. I was at this spa yesterday afternoon for an eyelash extension. I told the girl I had this done before at 2 different places, one was good, one was bad, and what I liked and disliked about both. She assured me she's very experienced and detailed oriented. While she worked on me, she constantly talked about herself meeting guys through match and wanting to find an older white man who's financially stable and can afford her and asked me numerous times to introduce her to someone. She also tried several times to sell me on other treatments and products. And she told me I NEED to go back in 1-2 weeks for eyelash refill. I said in my past experience, I went back 6-8 weeks, and still looked decent at 8 weeks. She said it was up to me, most of her clients go back 1-2 weeks. Now I know why. First, they charge $20 more for every week you don't go back starting at $40 for 2 weeks, so $60 at 3 weeks, $80 at 4 weeks. And more importantly, her work does NOT last even for 2 hours. I did not touch or get anything on my eyes, they are already falling off as I was leaving the spa. After she was done, I looked in the mirror and I didn't look glamorous like I remember I did the last many times I had eyelash extensions and refills done. I thought maybe it's just me... but really, they looked dull and somewhat fake. I also can see them when my eyes are fully open. She tried to push them up and didn't work. She end up saying my own eyelashes are naturally pointing downwards, and they are not easy to work with and that's the way they are going to be, she thinks they will be okay and I will get use to them. But I never saw the extensions in the past even when they were much more fuller and long lasting. After I got home, I looked closely in the mirror, 3 eyelashes at each eye were just hanging and about to fall off. I picked the 6 off easily with a tweezer. Then I realized how she didn't glue a lot of the eyelashes right. They are glued not at the end close to my skin, but somewhere in the middle of a lash. To start with, they were suppose to be glued to new short lashes for them to last longer, not just any lash to stay on temporarily. And I think that's why they are bothering me and waking me up to write this review at 5 am. And that wasn't the only 6 that came off, I have had 8 more that came off since then and it's only been 14 hours since they were placed. I feel like I really wasted my time and money at this place. The facility was clean, but not as high end as their pricing, and the staffs were not friendly at all. I really don't want to go back and I need to go somewhere to take all these lashes off. They are just poking and bother my eyes. read more

I've been going to Spa Xanadu for about three months for a mani/pedi. I see Mindy who is with a doubt the best manicurist in the business. I have troublesome nails & when I leave they always look great. I highly recommend Mindy for her professionalism, talent, kindness and good-nature. Also very courteous. I've never had an issue with changing an appointment---she's always willing to work around my schedule and on top of that gives the BEST manicure around. Spa Xanadu is a very relaxing place to go and the decor is great; a big plus for me. So, if you're looking for a great manicurist, I recommend Mindy without reservation. read more

I left Spa Xanadu feeling refreshed and fabulous. I used the spa for 90min before my facial. Donna is a great job massaging my face and hands. I thought she should have done extractions longer though. Still my skin looks great today, soft n supple. My only complaints are that I paid for the 60min glycolic acid facial but Donna stopped at 46minutes. yes i timed it. We were visiting the area to attend a wedding. After a few days in disneyland I was looking for a massage. The spa had a special facial massage package that I indulged in. The experience was wonderful and I was wishing I had more time to enjoy all the amenities. You could spend a day here being pampered from head to toe as they also do hair..nails and pedicures. My best friend and I went here for a relaxing evening. The facilities were small, but clean and adequate: steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, showers and we were each given fluffy robes and slippers. We were also able to bring in a bottle of wine and drink it while waiting for our deep tissue massage. I loved my massage and she didn't like hers. She had told the lady that she didn't want a foot massage and the lady did it anyway, and at the end of that she just laughed and said oops I forgot you said no feet. I found that annoying since we were in the same room but my friend was too nice to mention anything. I would give this place another shot. read more

Had the best massage I've probably ever had here, about a week ago. I've been super stressed because we are moving to Hawaii and clearing out the house and the stress that comes along with it. Amanda was my masseuse and she picked up on my high stress energy and gave me an almost acupressure massage that had me walking out forgetting about anything I was remotely stressed about. I have mixed feelings about my experience. On one hand, I loved relaxing in the hot tub and steam room. I had the place to myself and it was great. It would've been nice if someone told me that the sauna was being upgraded so I didn't waste my time trying to get it to warm up. I am not a regular facial-goer... I get one every few months. Put I take good care of my skin and buy high end products. The shaming from the aesthetician was beyond unprofessional. For an hour she talked at length about how I'm doing everything wrong for my face and how this facial will only reverse 20% of what I need. Why did I pay $100 for 20% results? I came in with the intention of becoming a member, but left feeling embarrassed and discouraged. read more

I stopped in for a mani/pedi a couple months ago and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. So I decided to come back for a facial. It is by far-- the best facial I've ever had. I've always felt that facials can sometimes feel like visiting a dentist, it can be uncomfortable but needed. With Susie, I was immediately charmed by her friendliness and professionalism. The facial was very relaxing and my skin was noticeably soft and glowing for weeks! Which was perfect for my photoshoot =) I am hooked and will definitely be back. What an amazing experience! Xanadu spa is very clean. The jacuzzi and sauna was just perfect before and in between my services. Nazeli was my masseuse and she was great with the pressure points. She asked if I wanted to focus on something so I mentioned my arm and hands since I was always on the computer. She did a great job on that.
