I scheduled a massage with my fiancee at Spa Bliss right before the Christmas holiday. The Spa had a special for a 60 minute Swedish massage for only $49. I thought that sounded like a great price, but as with most things, when something sounds to good to be true, it most likely is. This spa is inside the Arcadia Athletic Club (previously Arcadia All-pro). When we first arrived, we heard loud, blaring music coming from upstairs, where the entrance to the spa was. There was a dance-cardio class going on at the same time as our scheduled massage, and it was literally on the other side of the wall where we were getting our massages. The masseuses were very gracious in putting us in the same room to give us our massages, which was about the only pleasant aspect of the massage. For the first 15 minutes of the massage, we heard what sounded like a club remix of massage music and salsa (from the class outside), so it was very distracting and hard to tune out. Second, the masseuses did not use enough lotion/oils, so much of the rubbing was not smooth and caused some chaffing. Lastly, my fiancee's masseuse did not ask her if her massage pressure was alright, and my fiancee's neck has been extra sore for over a week now as a result of too much pressure. I know what you're thinking, if the pressure was too much, why didn't she say something? Well, as a male, i know that for one thing, ego is a factor, and you rarely tell your masseuse that her pressure is too much. Regardless, it's the masseuse's responsibility to make sure that her pressure is appropriate, and for a Swedish massage, the pressure should not be comparable to a deep tissue massage. Finally, though the massage grants you access to the gym facilities, Steam room, Sauna, etc. don't expect a Burke Williams' type experience. You would be using the gym facilities with other gym members who are there for their workout, and you will not get that isolated, peaceful experience. I was pleasantly surprised when I showed up here for the Valentine's Day special for couples. Not only were the people extemely nice and helpful, but they were professional and created a wonderful atmosphere for my bf and I during our massages. Although it was a little weird that after I had originally scheduled our appointment, I received 2 calls back to find out (1) if we wanted male or female therapists, and (2) when the time I originally wanted opened up, they called to let me know that it was available and switched it for me. Although I wish they would have gotten that all done with the original phone call, it's a minor issue. I would recommend it for anyone who wants good service, minimal ammenities and a relaxing atmosphere. read more

I recently took my friend here for her birthday because they had an amazing deal: 30 minute sugar scrub with a 45 minute massage for $85 per person (unheard of!). The place was beautiful, clean and very relaxing. Then, the wierd part. I left my underwear on during the massage and not only did the masseur try to take them off (??) she then would yank them to try and massage parts that normally don't get massages. Lets just say they are VERY comfortable massaging places that (inside upper thighs, ect) only my husband usually sees. Also, the masseur had long fingernails and scratched my friends legs up. I digress, the sugar scrub was amazing and we loved sitting in the spa and sauna and just relaxing. With the exception of getting to 2nd (and maybe 3rd??) base with the masseur, everything else was great! read more

Spa Bliss is a full service spa that offers facials, massage, reflexology, even hot stone and Thai yoga massage! I have tried every service and particularly love the facials and hot stone massage. Prices are reasonable, people are terrific, spa itself is clean and calming. Spa Bliss is bliss! read more

This should really be four and a half stars. Basically, I give it four stars including everything but the price; five stars if I'm comparing it to another place of the same price. In other words, no, it is not as nice as Burke-Williams, but it is much more reasonably priced. I've been there four or five times over the past year and a half, and the service has always been solid. Services: They don't have the huge selection of services like B-W, but they have most body and skin services people are looking for. I've had a few different massages, a back facial, and a regular facial there. I'm generally not a big facial fan, but I definitely appreciated the back facial and will have another soon. The massages were comparable to most of the ones I've received at B-W, which is to say that I enjoyed them, but they didn't change my life. Their website pretty clearly shows all of the services and prices, which is helpful. Extras: While they don't have some of the B-W perks (the robes and large relaxing areas with fireplaces), they do have some other benefits. I appreciate the smaller size of the spa; it feels more personal and yet also more private. Also, I like that I can go early, work out, shower, then have a massage. I'm disappointed when I can't block out enough time for a workout before the massage because that it is a double-whammy for stress-relief. Overall, I great choice for the money. read more

Spa Bliss was definitely a pleasant suprise. Some spas I have gone to, you have guests walking around in robes. This place, it is very private. Cindy and Angela were very nice and made me feel very comfortable. Haven't tried their new location yet. read more

I took my husband to Spa Bliss today (Valentine's Day) for a couples massage. It was my first time there and I was very impressed. We went with the Valentine's Day special couples massage. The staff was very friendly. The spa is located inside a sports club. You check in downstairs and they take you upstairs where the rooms of the spa are. The two women, Cindy and Mae were very friendly. They did a very good job and the atmosphere was great. The room was dimmed with relaxing music playing. The massage felt great head to toe. The spa was very clean, it was small with only 3 rooms. However, it was more intimate. The decor was nice. When we were done, while we were getting dressed, Cindy and Mae had prepared the little table for us in the waiting area with chocolate covered strawberries and two glasses of apple cider.
