Space Bistro is by far my favorite restaurant anywhere in the Rockland area! This place is amazing, and has Boston vibes but is so close to home. The ambiance is perfect - really cool decor, a classy atmosphere, Brazilian music playing, and lively but never too loud. Service is always prompt and very friendly. You can tell from the moment you step in that this place is where all the local Brazilians go, which got me excited to try some new things! I had never heard of Brazilian sushi before, so I was excited to try new things. I asked for recommendations, and everything suggested to me was absolutely delicious. The thin slices of salmon wrapped around lemon and passion fruit mousse were absolutely to die for. All of their sushi was so fresh and delicious! On my first trip to Space bistro, I ordered several sushi dishes a-la-cart, but on my return trip, I tried the all-you-can-eat option to be able to sample even more sushi dishes. Both were excellent options! My husband is not as much a raw fish guy, so both times he ordered the Brazilian steak with rice and fries. New favorite! We had been waiting forever to try Space Bistro and finally got to go last night such a great place! The decor is very cool and the ambiance is perfect for date night. It's a little different to other sushi places in that you can order by the piece, regardless of whether you do AYCE or a la carte. Service was incredible! Our server explained everything very well and was attentive. The drinks were amazing! Sushi was delicious! Tip: definitely call in advance for a table if it's the weekend. We were excited to try an AYCE sushi spot closer to home and decided to check out Space Bistro in Rockland, MA. With very little social media presence, we assumed it might be a hidden hole-in-the-wall gem -- unfortunately, the experience didn't live up to expectations. The menu was difficult to navigate, with most of it written in Portuguese and only vague English descriptions. It honestly felt like we were trying to study with a dictionary just to place our order. The AYCE option was also steeply priced at $60 per person, which made the overall experience even more disappointing. Service was slow and unhelpful -- there were no check-ins, simple requests like ginger and wasabi took a long time, and not everything we ordered even arrived. It also felt like we weren't particularly welcome, which made the atmosphere uncomfortable. We also noticed that most of the guests dining there were European, and we were the only Asian customers in the restaurant, which added to the feeling of being out of place. Although their online presence did not indicate that reservations were required, we were told we could have a table only if we agreed to leave before the next reserved party arrived -- even though the restaurant was still more than half empty at the time. After nearly two hours, our group of four had only managed to receive about 12 pieces of sashimi, 5 hand rolls, and 5 maki rolls total. At that point, we gave up and realized we should have just ordered à la carte. The sushi quality itself was decent, but overly "bougie" in unnecessary ways -- the nigiri seemed brushed with oil and salt instead of showcasing clean, fresh cuts of fish. Additionally, many rolls contained cream cheese even when it wasn't listed, which is important for those who are lactose intolerant. Overall, we really wanted to like this place, but between the confusing menu, slow service, high price, and inconsistent execution, it fell short. Went into space bistro this evening as a first timer. I had been seeing a lot of hype on tik tok with some very cool and interesting options they offer. I sat at the bar and told them I was there to place a takeout order and they were super friendly. I ordered a glass of wine to have while I waited for the food. They offer beer, wine and sake options for cocktails. The bartender was so nice and actually came over and gave me a sample of a sake beverage with passion fruit juice. I thought that was incredibly kind and it was very good ! It's something I wouldn't normally order but now that I have tried it I would definitely consider. The two menu options I took to go were the shrimp temaki and the shrimp hot dog thing lol. They aren't cheap that is one downside so unless you know this type of thing is up your alley, I think you're better off sticking to more simple menu items. Both things were great. Different. Lots of texture and flavors. Excellent crunch (even to go!). I will say that I believe they would have been more enjoyable had I dined in and my husband agreed. That being said I will absolutely be back and try more on their menu for dine in. read more

Menu is very misleading and confusing. They don't have a real menu online only online ordering. I ordered tonight and spent $36 on egg rolls and SIX individual pieces of sushi. Any time I've ever ordered I have ordered by the roll never have I had a place give me one slice of a roll. Not to mention they put the cooked hot rolls in with the cold rolls all in one box so there were Dorito crumbs on my sweet dessert roll. And the egg rolls were so cold the cheese did not look like cheese. I'm sure in person it would be great, some of what I tasted was good but not worth the money. read more

New place on the South Shore with some excellent sushi and rodizio. Great new concept. Wanted to try the all you can eat buffet. Spacious, clean, comfortable seating. Nicely decorated, delightful ambiance and music. Plenty of off street parking. Excellent service. Our waiter was attentive, polite, professional, courteous and friendly. A very big help with menu suggestions. Great menu variety. The all you can eat buffet is $60 per person and the selections are on a separate menu from the regular menu but with the extensive selections is quite a bargain. All you can eat sushi, top sirloin cap slices and desserts. Every dish, sushi, rodizio and desserts were prepared perfectly, fresh and absolutely delicious. I'm sure we've devoured our fair share. I was skeptical to try a Brazilian-Japanese fusion. I love both but had a hard time imagining them together. Space Bistro did NOT disappoint! Very creative, well executed, delicious! We had my daughter's graduation dinner here and they were able to accommodate our very large 25 person party despite being relatively small. It was a little hard to figure out making a reservation as they didn't answer when I called and there was not a clear way to do so on the website, but I found their whatsapp on IG and was able to do so that way. Their online presence is a little confusing and in some places says it is Italian (it is definitely not). BUT once we got there, they were SOOO friendly, very accommodating, and again the food was excellent! Also, it is CUUUTE inside! I see some reviews saying they didn't like the menu being in Portuguese, but I love a place that doesn't fully cater to English speakers because figure it out just like they are and their food is usually better honestly! I give them 5 Stars despite the confusing online presence and difficulty making a reservation because it was that good! read more

Pleasantly surprised when going in, as the inside is nicely set up with tables, some booths and high tops surround the bar. We sat at the bar, and both bartenders were attentive and pleasant. The menu is a bit of a mix - some American-ish bar menu, a sushi menu and a Brazilian steakhouse/all you can eat menu. I think that confuses locals who haven't been in there. TVs show mostly ads and soccer - so may want to show local sports as well. Drinks were good, will need to go back and try more of the American menu. read more

Yelp needs to make a zero-star option for this place!! My husband and I decided to try this restaurant (1/24/26) after seeing some reviews on social media. We walked into an over 90% empty restaurant (counted 2 people at the bar and 2 people seated at 2 different tables) at 6:19pm on a Saturday. We were told we couldn't get a table (they did offer the bar but we typically do not like to sit at the bar for dinner) since they had a lot of reservations for the evening. We asked what time the reservations were starting and the host said 6pm. We were surprised that we still could not get a table considering their 6pm reservation(s) had not shown yet. I guess it was our mistake that we did not read any reviews before coming to this poorly-run establishment. The end result is that we took that as a sign, voted with our wallets, and took our money elsewhere...and YOU should too! read more

I had a truly humiliating and upsetting experience at Space Bistro in Rockland, MA. I arrived at 7:00 PM and was told the wait for a table would be about an hour to an hour and a half. I waited patiently with my party for over two hours. When we went to check on our table at 9:30 PM, we were told that it had been given to someone else -- without any explanation or apology. When we calmly questioned what had happened, the owner became extremely aggressive. In front of a full restaurant, she pointed her finger in our faces, raised her voice, and told us to leave her restaurant. She even threatened to call the police on us -- simply because we asked for the table we had waited hours for! This was one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. We were disrespected, humiliated, and treated like we didn't matter. I would never recommend this place to anyone and am filing an official complaint with the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office. No customer deserves to be treated this way! read more

Okay I'm not one to give reviews but had gone to a few places prior that were closed we were hungry looking for something decided to check this place out wasn't sure because I'm not Brazilian never had Brazilian food so we decided just to get some tacos and some chicken wings and a few drinks well the bartender was a very good sales lady let me tell you had no idea what the name of the alcohol was but she made it sound wonderful so I did end up getting one a little on the sweet side so I decided to try a different flavor not too bad but I couldn't really taste any alcohol I felt like I was drinking fruit juice we were astounded when we got the bill $18 for one drink never heard of such a thing if I knew that I would have never have gotten a drink I would have just ordered a beer so needless to say we were very disappointed and the chicken wings said jumbo far from jumbo tacos were okay had some flavor but the drinks were far more expensive than what the food cost so I must say I will probably never return read more

Visited this restaurant on 07/26/25 with friends and two minors. We arrived around 7:30 PM, and the owner assured us that we would have a table at 9:30 PM, even taking down our name and phone number for the reservation. When we returned at the agreed time, our table had been given to other guests. When we politely questioned the situation, we were treated with extreme disrespect and even threatened with being removed and having the police called-- all in front of other customers.A very humiliating and disappointing experience. read more
