Really interesting sushi cuisine! I feel like I saw dishes I've never seen before at sushi restaurants. I came on a Friday night and had to wait a bit for a table but it was ok because they let us sit at the bar to wait. The service was solid. I really liked the Caesar salad and the Brie jow

New place on the South Shore with some excellent sushi and rodizio. Great new concept. Wanted to try the all you can eat buffet. Spacious, clean, comfortable seating. Nicely decorated, delightful ambiance and music. Plenty of off street parking. Excellent service. Our waiter was attentive, polite, professional, courteous and friendly. A very big help with menu suggestions. Great menu variety. The all you can eat buffet is $60 per person and the selections are on a separate menu from the regular menu but with the extensive selections is quite a bargain. All you can eat sushi, top sirloin cap slices and desserts. Every dish, sushi, rodizio and desserts were prepared perfectly, fresh and absolutely delicious. I'm sure we've devoured our fair share. Highly recommend. Will definitely return and try the other items on the great menu.

I've been here multiple times and every time I go the food is hot , fresh , and so good! I usually don't post reviews but this is one of my favorite restaurants and service is always 10/10. Super clean and the staff know how to create a good professional vibe.

I visited this restaurant for the first time today, and it will certainly be my last. Ordered…read morealmost $100 worth of food, made up of 5 combination dinner dishes. 3 of these were rice plates, with shrimp lobster sauce, and egg foo yung, all with fried rice. When I got home with these take outs, 30 min ride away, I opened my takeout boxes to have lunch. The two fried rice plates were spoiled, Not "not too fresh" or "a bit stale".. They had that outright spoiled smell, like when you leave food out un-refrigerated for about 3 days. I had to put these in the trash. Then I smelled the shrimp lobster sauce, which were packaged separately from the spoiled rice and didn't smell spoiled.. I had fresh white rice at home, so I added the lobster sauce to make my own lunch plate. Then I put the lobster sauce into my mouth and my head was filled with question marks.. The lobster sauce was SWEET! I've had lobster sauce from 2 or 3 hundred Chinese takeout places. Some are more salty than others, some have a black bean taste; it varies. But this is the first time when I've had lobster sauce where the dominant taste was sweetness. That's not what I wanted. It's like having coffee but instead of sweet someone added salt. Or having spaghetti but with maple syrup. It tasted weird, and unpleasant. I had to throw this out too. So, out of 5 dishes, 3 were spoiled, 1 was weirdly and inappropriately sweet, and the last one, according to my son who ate it, said it "wasn't very good". I write many reviews, and read them too. When I see a one star review citing horrible customer service or whatever, I mostly attribute those to the owners of nearby rival restaurants, trying to kill the business of a competitor. Here I am giving a one star review for the first time. If you feel skeptical, please feel free to read some of my other restaurant reviews. I tend to be very detailed and descriptive, and I call it like it is. I have no interest in artificially boosting or hurting a restaurant's ratings. I am just a guy wo eats out a lot and like to share my personal experience and opinions. So, for this time, my advice is to stay away from this very bad restaurant.

While my order was in route, the restaurant called and informed me that my driver forgot the hot items. Before I could even feel an ounce of disappointment and without prompt I was asked for my address as well as phone number and their delivery guy brought my ramen! No extra charge, and when I tried to give him a tip, he politely declined. THAT is platinum level of customer service. And to top it off, the sushi was delicious...I cannot wait to heat up and try the ramen. Highly suggest, if I could give more stars I would!

I recently wrote a review for the 'Hot & New' Omori in Quincy. While I am not a detractor of Omori,…read morethe experience there left something to be desired. This is due to some creative decisions I disagree with and, at times, very little eel. Meanwhile, Sake Japanese Restaurant hits just the right spot! The creative decisions were excellent, with everything coming together splendidly. The fish was fresh and in more than generous amounts. This, in turn, makes the cost of about $20 per roll seem reasonable and makes it much easier to stomach (I didn't intend the pun, but I will own it). Regarding the Holiday and the Kevin Page, these maki rolls are similar. Both shine with the white fish on top and generous amounts of tuna (and salmon in the Holiday's case) within. The eel and cucumber add a pleasant new dimension to the pieces. I'd say these two are like identical twins adopted by different families. Each will have some unique personality and flair, but at the core, they are one. The crazy tuna brought something different to the table. While I am generally not a fan of the chopped-up style of fish, here it just works, and I didn't mind it. If I were to guess, this is because many places have more tempura than fish and add too much spicy mayo. Despite the style, the tuna was still able to shine through. For the inside, I enjoyed the crunch and freshness of the cumber with the sweetness and savory notes from the eel. Finally, the service was polite and speedy, though it wasn't bustling. Thus, not only would I happily return to Sake, but I would love to order the same three rolls again, for they were *that* good.

This was our first time back to GG in a couple of years - yikes! And not gonna lie, it was…read moredisappointing. We had takeout, which was packed carefully and packaged as neatly as ever - the hot items in one bag, the cold items in another bag -to make it home in a reasonable time. Where things went wrong: Chicken Teriyaki skewers had zero teriyaki glaze and instead were coated - WELL COATED - in a non-removeable green curry covering. There was absolutely no connection between these skewers and teriyaki. None of us cares for curry, so that was trashed since the cat sat back and said "absolutely not!" Pad Thai with the Chicken and Shrimp option had two (2) medium shrimp, so I guess that counts as multiple shrimp . . . the chicken was dry but at least it was plain, no curry. However, unlike the well coated curried skewers, there was virtually no Pad Thai sauce. The sauce that makes the bland rice noodles come to life was MIA. After much discussion and pulling the stuck together noodles apart, we did think that a very scant spoonful of sauce had been added to the very center of the container, making it a bit more Pad Thai-ish than the bare noodles in the other 2/3 of the takeout container. Pulled out the chicken bits and those two shrimp and trashed the rice noodles because I didn't even have a store-bought packet of Pad Thai sauce on hand to zhush it up! On the cold side, the go-to order of sushi Chirashi was good, fortunately because we were down two dishes out of three! Note to self: live and learn, keep to the Japanese side of the menu, and stop expecting a restaurant to do more than one style of cooking well, it never happens the way you hope it will!
