Each time I have come here I have had a weird vibe from the wait staff. This last time the girl stared at us from across the room the entire time. It was odd. A great Italian food spot in the south shore. If you're feeling like having pasta, this is the place to go. My fave pasta dish is Northern Cioppino and tiramisu was amazing. Excellent, again! After having a great first experience here, I couldn't wait to come back and I'm happy to report my second experience was just as good, if not better, than my first!! I ordered the eggplant parm (again) and I swear it was even better than I remember; hot thin crispy large pieces of perfectly fried eggplant that just melted in your mouth. I tried a piece of my friend's lemon chicken and it was extremely tender/flavorful. I would definitely consider ordering this next time I come here. My husband's caesar salad came on a freezing cold plate so it was cold and crisp. I highly recommend checking this place out! read more

While they are open for seating we went here for take out. It was easy since they have a separate take out window. Ordered the Ecco salad to start which is mixed greens and so yummy. I ordered the lemon chicken as my entree and it was more like a garlic chicken than a lemon chicken, not much tang at all. My husband ordered the chicken arribiata and it was really good, I would go with that next time. Overall good experience, will try it again. read more

Third visit to this establishment. First two were great (take-out during pandemic and dine-in immediately following pandemic). Tonight, not so much. Called at 12:24p today for 5:30p reservations. Gentleman who answered said it was not necessary since the restaurant doesn't fill up till 6:30p. We arrived at 5:25p. The restaurant was full. Waitress was extremely forgetful. We needed to ask for water, a missing bread plate multiple times, clean appetizer plates. Finally another waitress graciously complied on the latter. Calamari appetizer was hands down the worst we've ever had. Basically, it was a plate full of little pieces of fried batter. Entrees were good. The bill: we gave the waitress our credit card. She return with it in a folder plus the original bill only ... nothing for us to sign. She never "ran" our credit card. There you go. Good luck. read more

Fried Calamari w/ sweet peppers mixed in $9.99 (last time was better) 2 Crab Cakes $9.99 were smaller than I thought for the price, ok on flavor and amount of crab Cosmo (again) yum. Enjoyed a great meal last night! All meals were great we enjoyed the Grilled Salmon and Grilled Swordfish specials served with roasted potatoes and broccoli and the chicken parmigiana. I had the salmon it was cooked perfectly and was a good size cut. My mom had the chicken parm it was very tender and more than enough for two dinners. Derrick was our waiter he was great, very attention constantly checked back at all the right times to make sure we enjoyed our meals and that our drinks were full. Haven't been here in awhile but will be back to enjoy both the food and experience again! read more

I asked for an half club soda and half cranberry juice... came out almost clear. Could not tell the difference between the glass of water and the half and half which had the modest of pink hues. Not impressed. My first visit was much better, and that was 5 years ago. Ordered a garden salad and the beef Bolognase. The salad wa spinach greens and arugula with cherry tomato and olives. Don't waste your time ordering, online or on the phone. My husband and I ordered $65 worth of food and were "guaranteed" it would be ready at 7. We arrived at 6:45, waited in line for 25 minutes just get inside. When I stepped inside, I immediately have my name and the woman behind the counter said it wasn't ready yet. 5 minutes later she handed me my bag of food that was already sitting next to her on the counter. Overpriced! The quality and quantity is not there. Maybe the cheaper dishes would be "ok" , but not the more expensive dishes... skimped on the expensive ingredients and the steak in the surf and turf barely edible- in fact I didn't eat it . Was all "stuffing and potatoes" the steak was very tough. $37 not worth it. The manager/owner? was not apologetic, not a good way to win back customer. Will not be back. To add: I didn't want to mention before, but now I will, after showing the tiny skimpy lobster tail to the owner/manager(?) he asked if I wanted something else, which I responded, yes another tail, he did comply, but unfortunately it wasn't fully cooked and was inedible, I mentioned it to the waitress who didn't care at all. And at that point, the dinner was over. So yeah , a bad experience. I offered the tail to my elderly mother who took it home to try and cook it for the next day, to try and salvage something. So there that's what happened. And yeah you probably should've offered some compensation... some. I would think you should know this. read more

On a recent roadtrip, I came across Ecco Tratoria and I stopped for lunch. My server was Maryanne and I could not have asked for better service. I started with caprese salad which was delicious. I then got a bowl of linguine with just marinara. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was good enough to drag some bread through it. It's a little out my zone but if I come this way again. Delicious food and efficient take out operation. The first time I had the excellent chicken Parmesan. Juicy perfectly cooked chicken with a nice sauce. I was happy to have leftovers the next day. My dinner companion had the chicken Marsala which was also delicious. The outdoor seating area was nice and the heaters kept us warm. My husband and I were excited to come here for Valentine's dinner and were unfortunately let down. The best part of our meal, in my opinion, was the free bread basket. Don't get me wrong, I love bread in general but it shouldn't have been the highlight of our dinner. We started out with the "special soup," which was lobster bisque and an order of the bruschetta. The lobster bisque was basically orange water with bits of lobster in it. It was definitely some of the worst bisque we've ever had. My husband thought the bruschetta was fine but nothing to write home about (the gorgonzola was a bit over-powering). For our meals, I got the shrimp scampi and he got the spaghetti and meatballs. He really enjoyed his meal and thought the meatballs were top notch. My shrimp scampi was just shy of awful. The shrimp were super fishy (pun intended) and made me feel sick later that evening. I like to live life on the edge but even I have limits and sketchy seafood is where I draw the line. Overall, the service was good and our waitresses were very nice and attentive. However, the pros didn't end up outweighing the cons in this specific scenario so unfortunately we won't be back. read more
