Not reliable at all. I made an appointment with her online and received a confirmation email and everything, but when I showed up for my appointment she never came. I kept trying to email and call her, but I didn't get a response until two days after. All she said was "did not see you on my schedule". Very unprofessional. Too rough and not very relaxing. She kept playing Christian music loudly and at times sang the songs. I cut my head on her dresser because the lights were dark and she didn't say anything about the cut when I left; came home and saw a big gash on my forehead. The massage was too intense, even when I said that it hurt at times she told me that it would feel better the next day. As a nail tech I understand how reviews can make or break you. That being said I can not vouch for Pamela's massage skill because I was never able to see first hand. Should you chose to book with her you should expect attempting to reach her by phone to no answer, no call back, and encountering a full voicemail box. I was never able to find the actual place either and of course was unable to call. This was a groupon deal and I was grateful that they were able to reimburse me. I'm going to do some research and find someone who values their work and customers. Her practices mirror those of a scam- to be able to not provide a service and still collect money from those unwilling to say something about it. read more

Pamela was referred to me by the doctors at Cedar Sinai while I was there on a 2 month bed rest with my second child. They said she was the best masseuse they had ever encountered in the hospital. They were correct and I continued to use her for another 5 years until she left LA. I have had massages regularly over the last 20 years and Pamela is the BEST! She is so intuitive and really can feel what is happening with your body. I cannot recommend her more highly. She is an amazing masseuse and an incredible lady. I miss her!!!!!!! read more

I have done the FIT BODY WRAP and the Hydrafacial both are AMAZING. I am in my late 40's and all I can say is WOW, WOW, WOW, what a difference. The FIT BodyWrap uses inferred heat to Detox, and rejuvenate your whole body. I sound like an ad but that was my experience. I know it was good for me, I can tell that based on how it made me look and more importantly how it made me feel. I love sauna's and heat, hot yoga you name it and feel better after a good sweat, especially now with my hormones not being consistent. The Fit body wrap made me feel energized and lighter immediately after. It was a completely professional yet zen like experience that I know was healthy for me. Pam is the owner and she was very informative and professional when I made my appointment on the phone. She answered every question and did not at all try to package deal or up sell me. She also gave very clear directions to find her Spa, which was actually very easy to find regardless. Parking is also a dream. If you are busy, this is convenient, fast and worth the hour. An unexpected benefit my clothes definitely felt a little different and the past few nights I have slept so soundly! Again, when those are the results you know it is good for you. If you are someone who does well with heat and find it beneficial I highly recommend trying this out at least once. We all get excited when we find something that works, this worked for me. If you are at the age where taking care of yourself is less luxury and more necessity go see Pam! If you have any inflammation inferred heat is wonderful for you. If you feel better with a great sweat and feel it is detoxifying go see Pam. I also really enjoyed Pam's company. She is very knowledgeable about her products but also the health and wellness industry. I did see one review who did not love the experience but it also sounds like they knew absolutely nothing about the service they purchased? First no clear directions on the location of the place I walked around the entire plaza asking for the shop, got to the back and had to walk around the whole loft asking for where the room was. I got the fit-wrap (heated wrap in a plastic suit) So the fit wrap was fine I had my head phones on and she left the room, she came in 2 times to turn up the heat (start at 120 and move up to 130) that was fine, she came in a 3rd time about 10 mins before my time was up and sat looking at her phone. My playlist had run out so I took her up on her offer of music, she asked me which type and I picked "classical" So about 3 minutes into listening to that she plays a video on her phone....with the sound up and KEPT It on that I could clearly hear over the music. How rude, how unprofessional how unrelaxing. So I went through that for the last minutes of my treatment. After she told me she'd step out to get dressed (I had to wipe down the point of the treatment is to sweat) and to "take my time no rush" so about 3.5 mins after she walks out to give me privacy she opens the door (this location is in a lot with folks walking around and many other shops) and I still have my pants half pulled up. I'd bought 2 treatments on living social but I just requested a refund for the 2nd one. I spa treatment should be professional, quiet and relaxing, not as if you are at a friends house and you can play your music and bust in when folks are changing. This is why you can't support some folks, every single customer should be treated with respect and as if they are a valued company. read more

Pamela with SpaLyfe may or may not be a good masseuse. I will never know. I can only tell you my experience. I purchased a groupon for SpaLyfe in Ann Arbor, Mi. When I tried to contact her by phone for an appointment she never returned my phone call. I finally ended up booking an appointment online. She was booking 8 weeks out. Then something came up in my schedule and I needed to change my appointment. Guess what another 7 or 8 weeks out. By that time the groupon would be expired. I emailed Pamela to see if there was something she could do on her end to help my situation. After all participating in Groupon for a business person is to acquire new customers...right? One week later I received a one sentence email from Pamela, "I'll see what I can do". I never heard from her again. I contacted groupon and they credited me. This left a very unprofessional picture of this person and her business in my mind. read more

Pamela is a wonderful masseuse and esthetician! Her technique is spot on and I really appreciated how the stress of my week melted away instantly. She found a tight spot on the left side of my upper back that I wasn't even aware of. A few hours after I left the salon I realized that the slight headache I'd had earlier in the morning had completely disappeared. Overall, I really appreciate that Pamela takes a holistic approach to her practice. She took the time to teach me about the different elements to the custom blend of exfoliant, moisturizer, and toner that she created for my facial. I also learned a little bit about how to read and adjust my skin care at home to counter its various changes, depending on the weather and other stressors.I was especially impressed by the way my skin felt afterward. I am really looking forward to my next visit when I will try the full hydra facial. Also, Pamela's salon space is in a fantastic location with lots of new businesses right by, so you can also go to yoga or stop by Sur La Table for a cooking class after your massage. I truly hate to be negative, but I have given up on this. I got a deal from Amazon Local and since I've been wanting to get massages more, I bought it. I said in the 6th (as in sixth) e-mail that it was my fault for waiting too long but I still had 3 weeks left. But back up. Request #1 from me said mornings would be great. I got a confirmation for 2:45. I said (Tuesday 8/4, day after the 2:45 e-mail) that wouldn't work and asked if there was anything earlier. I e-mailed again on Friday 8/7 (3 days later) and got a time of 5:30. ARGH. That's when I took blame, said it was probably a lost cause, blah, blah, and asked about Tuesday 8/11 as boss was out of town. She said sounded great and asked what time. I said great and asked if she had a morning time. On 8/5 I got a confirmation time for the next afternoon! I e-mailed and said I was still hoping for 8/11 (tomorrow) and got a response saying "Sorry what time?" ARGH again. I said "AM? or very early afternoon"? That was last Wednesday, 8/5. I got an e-mail last night (Sunday 8/9) at 10:59 (and no, I'm not on the computer then so saw it first thing today) saying "I'm afraid I don't." Clearly she does not need or want new clients. I still have a week and a day left but am going to consider it a $39.00 lesson hammered in. read more
