I ordered a remanufactured one from Autozone and their vendor was not able to provide them one after a 2 week wait. I found Northlake Auto Recyclers online and they had the head I needed in stock and already pulled. It was off a 2018 Dodge Journey. Cost for the head was $125. They come with a disclaimer that heads are for use as cores to be rebuilt only and are only guaranteed not to be cracked or warped. I took the head to a machine shop and the tech said it was in such good condition that he did not recommend rebuilding it and only did a quick milling of the sealing surfaces to be sure it was true and clean for the head gasket. Just started up the car and it runs great. I highly recommend this place. It is not a junkyard. It is more similar to a parts store but all the parts are used. You go in, tell the guys at the counter what you want, and they go in back and get it off a shelf for you. They have tons of parts for late model cars. The employee said they specialize in cars 7 years and newer.

This place is a scam. I have 3 stories as proof…read more 1. Took my car in for coolant leak. They checked it and said radiator leak. Price was stupid so I went elsewhere. I didn't realize when they checked the antifreeze reservoir they took off the hose needed to suck up antifreeze and didn't put it back. I felt they were intentionally trying to break my car down. 2. Took my car to replace brake pad and rotors. I took my own parts. When I got my parts back I noticed they didn't put the sensors which is standard. They acted dumb about it and fixed it. 3. Took my car for an oil change. They noticed the screw in the oil pan wasn't original. I told them don't worry I've had oil changes for 5 years and never had any problems. After the oil change my car is leaking more oil than usual. 4. My car had warranty for the repairs. However they charge differently when warranty is used. They said it would be cheaper for me to pay out of pocket instead of using the warranty. The other shop I went to charged me the same price with or without warranty. Shady af. My fault for going back just bc it's conveniently located down the block. But after all this bullshit I will never go back. Short dude at the front desk is rude af as well. Go elsewhere, this place is shady af.

I was talking with a guy "Frank" very kind and gracious when I told him I got the wrong one. He sent me the correct mirror I took it to the shop and there was a crack in the mirror housing that appeared after painting prep. The shop where I took the car said I should use the mirror because of the crack so they repaired the mirror that was on the car originally. I told Frank we didn't need either mirror so he sent me a mailing label I shipped them back he credited my credit card! during the whole process Frank was totally helpful and easy to deal with. I wI'll recommend Areo Auto Parts to everyone looking for used replacement parks.

Local family owned, no hassles, no large ticket pricing. A few tips if you're coming here: They open at 8am, come early! Easiest route- go North on Western Ave. Walk in... tell they what work you need done on you car, give Make and Model of your car and get on repair list. When you are called, go get your car and pull into service garage. They will come and tell you what they noticed during diagnostic tests and inspection. They will show and explain to you the repairs. You will be told the cost with local taxes, so you know what to pay. Once done, they'll pull your car out and, after you pay CASH ONLY, you're good to go! Simple repair shop... no frills nor gimmicks! Park and walk in, because they do great work!
