I first visited Spark on a Friday evening and had a great experience! The server was so quick, offered great recommendations and the food was amazing! We had such a great time and recommended Spark to all of our friends! Spark was so good we decided to come back the following Tuesday. What a different experience. It took quite long for our server to address our table (my husband, toddler and myself). We knew exactly what we wanted so we ordered right away. Food came out quickly, however we had "made our own" one topping was left off and another (basil) was just thrown on top as an after thought. We enjoyed our dinner and local beer and waited and waited for the bill. We eventually had to go and ask the host for our bill. Our bill contained the missing ingredient charge (pineapple $2) and an extra charge for basil. I would have disputed the bill but at this point my toddler was done behaving well. Overall Spark Pizza tastes great but definitely has some kinks that are still being worked out. We wish that our first time experience at Spark wasn't a fluke, otherwise this would be a 5 star review! read more

Excellent pizza! Spark Pizza is what Redmond needed. The food is amazing. We had Not Your Grandma's Meatballs, the Homage to Frankie, and a Margarita Pizza with extra cheese and pepperoni. Everything tasted so good! The staff is really friendly and excited to get this new resteraunt open and the owners couldn't be nicer. They went out of there way to talk with everyone and make sure things were taken care of. Pictures say more than words though so take a look and consider this place. #GFDF - great experience only down side was the vegan cheese didn't melt. If you're gluten free and dairy free it can be hard to find good options over on the East side for pizza. I would say this is worth a try. The ingredients were great quality and the pizza was well made. The crust seemed like a rice based crust but was very crispy but still held it's shape with a typical pizza slice bend when eating. I miss Frankie's so I had to try the pie, I'm a eat everything kind of guy so the GFDF pizza still has me wanting to come back for more. Love this pizza spot! They have a lot of interesting and unique pizza options! The pizza is thin, crispy, and perfectly chewy at the same time - Neopolitan style pizza. It has the perfect slightly charred texture. Yum! I didn't get to take advantage of their indoor/outdoor service but I did pick up some pizza for take out. We ordered the fun gal (mushroom forward pizza) and the classic Margherita pizza. Next time, I would love to try some of their more unique pizzas (i.e. honey and spice and everything nice). Quick walk from my place so that gives it extra stars. We ordered Homage to Frankie's and a Kids Pepperoni. Even though it's a kids pizza, the size is the same as a regular pizza. The crust was well made, soft and a bit chewy. The one thing I didn't like was the crust was soggy in the middle, making it hard to pick up. I think I actually prefer the pepperoni to the homage to Frankie's. Both pizzas has plenty of toppings. There are other pizzas that sound very yummy, so I will definitely be back to try them. read more

I will start by saying I never made it inside. I have every reason to believe it is as awesome as the other reviews note. That being said, this was my experience and the thoughts I had as I walked away. The business was busy by the looks of the patio. I noticed a closed sign out front. I am guessing it was the manager who was greeting the couple who walked up right before myself and my daughter. He had the unfortunate news that they were closed due to "running out of [pizza] dough." He then began to blame the closure on the soccer tournament and the long line of customers who were here earlier. He mentioned only making it till 2pm the day before. Keep in mind, I was waiting next in line with my young daughter who was still dressed in her soccer uniform. I had a few thoughts as we walked away: The tournament happens every year during the same two weekends. The restaurant is located about 7 minutes away and offers exactly what soccer players would want to eat. The place is highly rated and would be a great choice for families in town for soccer. I thought the restaurant should plan for these tournaments by ordering/ making more during this time. It felt definitely awkward waiting in line listening to the representative blame or better yet focus on the why it happen. He seemed slightly irritated which in turn made us feel unwelcome as a soccer tournament customer. I think a more positive approach would be to simply state the situation. Lastly, the restaurant offers other options than just pizza, so completely closing seemed odd. Without knowing their operational plan it's hard for me to make suggestions on how they should run their business. We would have definitely opted for something else to eat than pizza since we were already there and hungry. We will give it another go next year! read more

This place is AMAZING! Great outdoor area with heat... I can't wait till summer hits as this will be a perfect place to sit outside with friends. The owners of this place also run Woodblock in Redmond which has very high quality and very tasty food. You won't be disappointed by visiting Spark, even if you have to wait for a seat to open up. Redmond has been lacking a good pizza place for a LONG time. I'm so happy this has opened. We went during the soft open and were not disappointed. The 'Honey and Spice and Everything Nice' was great. It's a nice spicy pepperoni pizza with some drizzled honey which gives it JUST a bit of a tang. Very complementary to the pepperoni and cheese. We also got the 'Made to Order Mozzarella' which was also really good. It's fresh made mozzarella, a bit warm with olive oil and rosemary, with some grilled bread. I really enjoyed it as I am a cheese lover! The only let down thus far is the cocktails on tap! However, they are currently working on the right amount of ingredients to get the taste right. 4.5* for sure Finally!!! A great pizza place in Redmond! I've been waiting for someone to finally do something about the horrible pizza choices we have in Redmond and Sparks pizza is really amazing. We love the flavors of the sauce and the dough is exactly how I remember a good pizza from all my holidays in Italy. The mozzarella was also lovely and chewy and just heaven. Their cured meats were also amazing, the salame and prosciutto were of great quality and delicious. The only kink they have to work out is the burning of the pizza, I know from experience that the heat of the oven is a hard one to get right. The pizza's with a light brown and some crusty bits were amazing, but there were some pretty burnt ones that of course have a light bitter taste. I'm pretty sure they'll get that figured out by the time I'm back for more (and I will be back for more). This could easily be a 5 all the way around. The patio was also updated and renovated, this could be the coolest spot in Redmond in summer to hang out. Staff was friendly and very helpful. The funny note about parking is very true, it's tight, but you can find some parking around the area. I've also seen later, that there are cannolis on the menu, count me in. read more

The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful - despite the constant flow of customers. This is not your average pizza. The flavors dance on your tastebuds. We ordered pizza to our hotel room after a long day being tourists in Seattle, and it was a great way to end the day. We ordered the "Everyday I'm Trufflin'" (Garlic Confit, Yukon Gold Potato, Black Truffles, Grana) as well as a classic cheese, and both pies were excellent. The crust is thinner, but still firm and well-baked with a great char and full flavor. The sauce-less pizza was rich and full of flavor without being overly greasy or too bland (something you can find with white/potato pizzas). Same for the cheese - excellent thin crust, great balance of ingredients, and all-around strong flavor. The pizzas arrived quickly and warm to our hotel and while the prices aren't cheap ($18 for a medium size pie that feeds 1-2 people max) but the ingredients and flavor are worth it! read more

I had previously heard all the hype about Spark Pizza from friends and coworkers, but now that I've personally experienced this place myself, I can confirm that this is where you want to be for a delightful happy hour with pizzas at $11 a pop. The Feeling Peppi one with pepperoni cups and spicy honey was DELICIOUS - super thin crust with great flavor and texture. Wide variety of drinks available. Nice effort on the pizza but not worth the cost. I spent $50 on 2 pizzas, and while they're working hard, I don't think it's worth the money. I got MUCH better pizza in Italy for 8 euro. Also, feedback to the owners, please set up a different window to pick up internet orders. I waited in line for 15 minutes behind folks struggling to understand your menu before I could get my food. I got the Burrata pizza which was delicious wood fired thin crust and simple basic tomato sauce. Ordered a meatball on the side which was super moist and flavorful sitting in there tomato sauce same from pizza. Only negative I'd say of the place is finding where to park is a little odd. Oh holy cow! Their pizzas are awesome! I've tried multiple vegetarian pizza including the pain cheese one and they regularly knock it out of the park. Their service is also on point and always makes me wanna go back. They only have a covered patio for seating but I like that kind of ambiance. The only bad thing about going here is finding parking. Love this new place - food tastes great, and the wait staff is awesome! We started with the OMG Burrata Plate with roasted potatoes and Shishito peppers. The waiter brought a Made to Order Mozzarella in error, but he left it for us to sample, when he realized the mistake. That was nice of him. We ordered the Margherita and Prosciutto of Happiness, w/o the Prosciutto :) both of which were yum! They customize the pizza, so you can order any one, and have them sub the meat with veggie options. They also have some fun stuff for kids, including a few joke books that the kids enjoyed reading and laughing to. Love this place! I started with their caprese salad with flat bread added. It was huge with the caprese but I would totally do it again, the arugula was so good with the dressing added. The pizza is fantastic. I the Rick and Morty and the Homage to Franky. You probably can't go wrong with any of them. My partner got a Negroni, the ice was small but I'm happy sticking with the beer. I thought they had a great selection of beers and ciders (as well as wine but I didn't get any) $4.50 and $5 is very reasonable for the beers I got. It's a beautiful location, just an awesome neighborhood place to hang out at. The service here is absolutely fantastic. This is one of my favorite places. After trying to come here twice, we finally made it to this restaurant on our 3rd time. The first two times the wait was over an hour so we were curious to know what the fuss was all about at this place The positives are that the ambience and the service is really good. The server staff are really happy about what they do and want more folks to come here. The pizzas themselves were good for the area. They have a lot of vegetarian options. Overall I feel Seattle has better options like Bambino's/Rocco's however if you're in the area and looking for wood fired pizzas, this is the go-to. read more
