This post is to reflect the new service offered in Payson AZ!!! Every claim they made was a blatant lie. Speed was like dial up-yes; that bad. Was told that its because of the amount of devices we had connected. Most were connected through ethernet, and all but two devices were idle-not even being used. sparklight is worse than what we had before. Technicians in my neighborhood each and every week trying to fix their garbage system. I can't watch any show sports game, movie or tv show without constant freezing and stopping of the show or game. It is so sad we can't get a decent internet provider here. If I could give zero stars I would. They just ran new fiber in my neighborhood so I figured I'd give Sparklight a shot. The bad experience started at the install. They lay a temporary above ground fiber cable but the tech left a bunch of slack in my yard and in front of my gate instead of trying to keep it out of the way a little better. Then the tech left when the modem was still updating without testing the circuit. I did speed checks but their 500Mbps service was wildly inconsistent and never got over 300Mbps and even going lower than 100Mbps at times. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I called tech service and was told I would only get the promised speed if I only have 1 device on the my network.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I knew that wasn't true but between the substandard install and the bad tech support I cancelled my service immediately. My existing Optimum 300Mbps is faster than Sparklights 500Mbps. It didn't make sense to me to pay more money for slower service. Would give less stars if I could. The physical location closed on all days except Wednesdays. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The customer service rep I got on the phone was super pushy and rude.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I signed up for a call back because I wanted to shop around for internet and I never received a call.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The price for the internet is also dog water. 70 dollars a month for 300 mbps is trash. Cox offers way better deals than that. Oh and it's only for the first 6 months. On top of that, they don't tell you you have to rent the modem from them for a minimum of 14 dollars a month. So add those 14 dollars to your 70 (which jumps up to 80 after 6 months) and you're way overpaying for mid grade internet. I went with a local company instead. read more

I had previously rated a one star and would have given zero if possible. Sparklight in cottonwood is not convenient at all. They send a technician to install the internet, he brings you a router, service is extremely spotty and it ended up losing me quite a bit of money since I work from home and a lot of times the internet was out. They are also overpriced. Then, when you move or want to cancel your service, the technician doesn't come back to get the router that he brought you in the first place (which he should). And, the person on the phone does not tell you that your service isn't canceled until you turn in the router-which, by the way, you can never pay off. I paid $10 a month toward that router for 3ish years so that $44.99 router ended up costing me $300 ,they will keep charging you until they get the router back- but get this..most of us are adults with adult jobs..cottonwood Sparklight internet employees are apparently taking kindergarten naps all day cuz it is open from 9am to NOON!! NOON PEOPLE! They also do NOT have a drop box and you can't mail it in. Incredibly inconvenient. So obviously it was hard to get the router back to them. The customer service people at Sparklight ended up reaching out to me after seeing my first review and she helped me out a lot by sending a technician to come to my new address and pick up the router. That right there was great customer service. So I did give them 3 stars for making it right. But it wasn't easy! I called customer service a total of 5 times in 3 months trying to fix the situation and give them that bogus router back but it took me writing the review to get any help. read more

Well... after 2 calls of being misinformed and wasting $6 + time + gas for shipping a TP-Link modem/router I purchased back come to find out for VoIP service you have to rent their modem/router, no choice in the matter, plus buy your own RJ11 cable. So they sock it to you for their phone service. Otherwise I'm told I could provide my own. Still cheaper than CenturyLink's phone service, but still... this is a sham! I have to have a hard phone, VoIP or landline, for my next work project for work at home. At least I'm still saving money not having to commute. However being home most the time have to pay for extra power, etc. Still... these guys should allow you to supply your own modem no matter what. Bunch of crooks! read more

I have been calling for the last six months trying to get my Internet working. It's 10 AM on a Wednesday and the billing office says they are closed. I've had three technicians out to the house replace the router, replaced parts and has not gotten my Internet to work. Meanwhile, I pay over $90 per month and it still is not working. I work from home and I would never recommend this company! They try to resolve things via their technical support but for six months and $600 later, this is the worst Internet service provider I have ever had. read more

I've used these guys for probably three or four years by now, if not five or six or more. So far they - had - been pretty good. I was paying $63 a month for steady, fast service. Although then they bumped me up to a plan two levels higher than that (in fairness to them, because I downloaded more than my allotted data, maybe two months in a row). That plan now costs $130 a month, which I think is unreasonably high priced. To add insult to injury, I think I only used the plan for four days of the July billing cycle and probably will not use it at all for the August billing period, and maybe less than half of September's. However, they're requiring me to stay on the exorbitantly high-priced plan - for 90 days. That's why I'm online now looking for a better solution, which is more in line with market pricing. I told them I will look at my options to cancel. The "friendly" service agent could care less. In all fairness to them, this was my first time being unhappy with Cable One. For the past year, off and on, I have had paper and paperless billing. For some reason they cannot seem to send me paperless statements and therefore charge me late fees. I've called several times for assistance but they don't seem to care; they just want their money. I check my spam EVERY day for the invoice and nothing. Also, wifi is soooooo slow. I have had CableOne (Before it became Sparklight) for over 2 years at home and 1 year at my business. The last 2 months were nothing but problems. Internet not reliable, Agents unable to answer simple questions or come up with any solutions. If you are a business, STAY AWAY from this internet service, not only will they not help you when you are having internet problems, but they will try to charge insain fees if you cancel your service, even if they did not fulfill their part of the deal. I was happy with the cost (which is high) when the service was working great, but a month and a half with problems is simply unacceptable. I am really disappointed with cable one. After being a DirecTV customer for many years I can hardly wait to give Cable One the Boot! Now known as "Sparklight" Cable One May think if they change their name they can hide their lousy service. The guide that you get with Sparklight is far inferior to DirecTV. All too often the only information you get is NO INFORMATION ON THIS PROGRAM. I think they are just too damned lazy to update their guide! I have lost the signal more times than I can count and have to unplug everything and reset the unit. Please save yourself the trouble of Cable and go with one of the dish networks. In Cornville we got accustomed to slow speeds from Cable 1, often causing videos to stop and buffer, even when we only used one Roku and TV. We got an offer to switch to Century Link DSL for about $20 less per month. After trying that, we had even more buffering and slow speed issues. I figured we'd just switch back and pay the extra for a bit better performance. While trying to switch back, Cable 1 wanted to charge me over $200, in deposit and start up fees. Keep in mind, we were perfect customers for a year, have our own modem/router, used autopay, never a late or missed payment, didn't complain about slow service, and I have a good credit score and haven't been asked for a deposit for a utility for about 25 years. Because of this, I am now adjusted to Centurylink and no longer will deal with Cable 1. read more

I called and was told it would take two weeks to get service, I waited two weeks and took the day off and waited. no calls or texts, I called the office and the receptionist said the gate was locked so the technician drove off and I told them I can unlock the gate, they said it would be another week. so I waited again and finally got basic cable and internet. my home depot antenna has a better picture for $29.00 and the internet sucks. so I called again to upgrade the internet, they said it was a packaged deal so I upgraded my cable and internet. I checked the next day and have more channels but the same internet speed. I called again to tell them the problem and was told the are closed for the week end. I have not even had them for a month. they suck big time. when I was in phoenix I had cox and they are the best in the united states, plus I was paying $30 a month for internet only. If you are a new customer interested in joining cable one expect poor customer service. As a new customer with cable one I was appalled with the poor customer service they provided. Cable one needs to improve proper communication with not just their departments, but also with their customers. I had originally set up an appointment with cable one to have a technician come out and set up my Internet. The day of my appointment I received an automated call confirming the time of the appointment, which I confirmed. Hours later my technician did not show. I called cable one and spoke with Mindy and she stated that the technician showed up at the house and no one answered, and stated that I would have to reschedule. I requested to speak to a supervisor, and was transferred to the billing department and spoke with Chris who was very helpful and explained to me what really happened. When I had originally set up my account with cable one they sent the information to their "Web of sales" department who communicates to the technicians what day of the appointment and where they need to go to the customers house. The Web of sales department told the technician a completely different address, it wasn't even in the same city that was shown on the billing address. Even though they had acknowledged the mistake they had made, I still had to reschedule my appointment, even though they were aware that I had requested to take off work for that special day to have basic Internet set up at my home. This could all have been avoided if the technician's called the customer first to confirm the correct address instead of sending an automated call which doesn't give any addresses just the time of the appointment. read more

I have used CableOne for many years, but but now that is sparklight I eem to detect a deterioration of service. Just wanted to ask a simple question why my WiFi is slow I was on phone for at least one hour, they connected me to an agent, who never came on. I wish that at least they provide an email for contact, the two support numbers make you talk to a computer. read more

We live in Cornville, and Cable one is no better than satellite, they use 1960 phone lines that are way old. The tech spent days running around our block in Cornville, and said "our intermittent signal couldn't be fixed". "The lines have too many users on them for what they were designed for, and they need to be replaced". So we spend a hundred a month, can't watch Netflix, or Amazon downloads. Couldn't even make it through the superbowl 2019 game live, without having to restart and start the modem at least a dozen times. When it rains, there will be hours without a good signal. even trying to load a page takes a longtime, like in the dial up days. When you try the local number for cottonwood cable one, you spend average of 1/2 hr on hold before you even get help. Just to tell us, that they will send out a tech. They have not been able to fix the problem. Like the Tech in the Cable One truck said. Yes their company sucks, but so do all the others. Just like now, the page and internet failed writing this stupid review, that they really don't care. tried loading it several times just to post. what a waste of service, and money. read more

Well after multiple years with Cable one, I have to say the service is not that great!! The speed they promise constantly fluctuates? Now I am on 50 GIGs per month which would seem like a lot however, they let all the adds thru which takes those gigs up fast. Seeing I don't want the adds I called them to see if they will block?? They won't. So the adds, add up to GIGS used and that ain't right, they shouldn't charge you for adds at all! So in order to slow down the gigs used I bought an add blocker so add another 40 Bucks to the bill. Now I have a smart phone, which I pay less for a month then Cable one.My emails come in faster and before they come in with Cable 1. My speeds seem to be constantly faster on 4G then with Cable 1. Now I do enjoy the use of my lap top however my smartphone has a WIFI hotspot on it which is not to bad. Now I don't use it for TV or Telephone, so in all the WIFI connection is quickly starting to loose it's value. I do have my printer hooked up to my phone as well so that is good. I have a couple of things on E Bay when they are sold, so I will be closing this account after Christmas. When 5G comes into town, CABLE ONE WILL BE ANOTHER COMPANY THAT HAS REFUSED TO CHANGE AND KEEP UP WITH THE TIMES ???? THIS IS YET ANOTHER COMPANY THAT WILL GO THE WAY OF RADIO SHACK AND SEARS. So Cable One Either change or up grade,Stop thinking your the only game in town, however they will choose to do nothing and be another company to disappear cause someone else can do it better, faster and cheaper!!! After getting frustrated by CenturyLink slow DSL, I decided to try CableOne. After selecting my plan online, and scheduled installation, I got next day service . The system technician (Nick) arrived at 8 am as scheduled. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. We did not have a cable connector in our computer room, since we had DSL via telephone connector, but he routed a coax cable to reach the room. Modem, computer set up quickly, he even got my notebook wifi going. So I went from 1.3 MbpsS to around 90+ Mbps. So, I am happy, wife is happy, overall, I can give 5 stars. read more
