The dogs always seemed stressed when I picked them up but the girl insisted that I had to leave them almost all day for a basic groom. I decided not to go back after I went to pick them up last time and there were urine puddles in the dog area that she wasn't even aware of. If they hired someone else, I would consider going back.

They charged 750.00 just to walk in the door. And refused to let me see her until I had paid in full. Then they told me, that to keep her over night they would charge an additional 990.00. I elected to not keep her there and asked for antibiotics, pain meds, and to clean and dress her wounds, which they charged me another 130.00 dollars. The vet had no compassion, and did not discuss options. I found out later that the Sugar Land Veterinary Specialists is Corporate owned and is all about the money. They really don't care about your fur baby, they just want the $$$. They have terrible reviews on the internet with lots of heart breaking stories of owners losing their beloved animals because of this place. If you find yourself needing an emergency vet, drive past Sugar Land Veterinary Specialists it is not the place you want to go to. On a good note. After taking Shelby home and watching her suffer in agonizing pain, I had come to the realization that I was going to have to put her down. I took her to Rose-Rich vets Wednesday morning ready to say my goodbyes. But then a very kind and very capable veterinarian (Dr. Sackman) walked in the exam room, gave me a big hug and said, this is fixable we can save her. When I explained how much money I had already been charged she said, let me work up an estimate and if we need to, we can work out payments. For three days in ICU all medications and care the total cost was 538.95. AND my Shelby is on the mend and will live a long full life. Since I have so many friends that are fur baby lovers, I thought I would share my story with you. If you decide to take your pets to Rose-Rich Vets please tell them Shelby sent you. I want them to know how much I appreciate all they did for her. And please please think long and hard before you go to Sugar Land Veterinary Specialists

The staff is always very friendly and I do feel like my babies are in good hands. Dr. Williams and Moore have always been amazing and seem to genuinely care, are gentle and very knowledgeable. The staff gives helpful advice and talks through things to make sure you understand what's going on with your pet. There is sometimes a wait, but I understand how things can be at times with pets so I am patient with them. It's always fairly clean and they offer boarding and grooming as well. Also, they have extended their hours which is really helpful for pet parents who can't get out of work early enough or have a late emergency. Always recommend this place and I will always visit here first with any animal needs I'll need in the future.

Now there are new owners (for a couple of years now) and our favorite groomer Rolisha is no longer there. My mom dropped Coco off and I was on the phone when she told them we did not want a low cut. I then had my mom go back in and I spoke with the groomer myself on FaceTime asking if the cut number they told my mom would still leave Coco fluffy since I did not want her hair low. We were assured by the groomer that she would still be fluffy! When I went to pick her up, she had a low cut. I called back (for the first time ever) to speak with management and let them know my disappointment with the service. Instead of being understanding and trying to come to a resolve, the manager/owner was extremely dismissive and argumentative, saying that the groomer told us the number and we agreed. Once I explained (again) that we explained several times we did not want a low cut and wanted her fluffy, she switched the narrative saying they had to cut her low because of matting. In the past if matting was an issue, I would get a phone call from Rolisha or the front desk explaining that and requiring me to approve the lower cut. After going in circles, I was over it and just them know how disappointed I was that they took no accountability. Again, in over 6 years this is the first phone call they've ever received from me. Extremely disappointed in the owner/management and lack of accountability. I really wish I would have gotten Rolisha's information before she left!

The entire experience was relaxed, informative, and never rushed. Dr. Shah was absolutely incredible. My daughter joined the appointment on FaceTime, and my mother was with me as well. Even though Bella was the only pet there, Dr. Shah patiently answered questions about all four of our pets. She repeatedly asked if we had any additional questions and made sure we fully understood everything before we left. What impressed me most was her honesty. She never tried to sell us products, prescription food, or supplements we didn't need. Instead, she gave thoughtful, practical advice and was mindful of costs, offering recommendations that were genuinely in the best interest of both our pets and our family. Dr. Shah has cared for our dogs for years at a previous clinic, and she has quite literally changed our lives. When our dog Myla suffered a spinal injury and suddenly couldn't walk, Dr. Shah was honest about how difficult the road ahead would be, but she also believed in us. She encouraged us every step of the way as we worked with Myla around the clock to help her recover. She called every day--sometimes multiple times a day--to check on her progress, and celebrated right alongside us when Myla finally started walking again. She also cared for our dog Marlee when she stopped eating and began vomiting blood. Rather than simply treating the symptoms, Dr. Shah recognized that Marlee was experiencing severe stress because of Myla's condition, which had led to an ulcer. Her compassion and insight made all the difference. With our many appointments over the years, we see firsthand that she is the same with all patients. She genuinely loves what she does. When we learned she had left her previous clinic, I was heartbroken. I immediately started trying to find where she had gone because there was no one else I trusted more with our pets. Finding her here felt like finding a member of our family again. We are beyond grateful that Dr. Shah is now part of Foster Creek Veterinary Hospital. Front desk staff are polite and professional. Others, including vets, seem inconvenienced by you being there. Also, they use an online pharmacy now, and they give that corporation exclusivity. They will not authorize prescriptions through other providers. If you're expecting a locally-owned, personable service, you may be disappointed. Corporate does as corporate is. BTW, the person who initially recommended this vet just informed me that they have changed vets - for many of the same reasons.

Alex with Sparkling Pets is AWESOME! Today was my first day my little dog Snowy was groomed by Alex. I am now and forever a long life customer. I will never again take my Snowy to Petco or Petsmart. I could tell the difference right away. My dog had no anxiety. He usually clings to me and shakes but not this time. I could tell my dog was happy. He had never been this happy taking a bath. Alex took time to tell me about himself and took time to get to know my dog. The Sparkling Pets coming to your home is so convenient. I love the fact that my dog doesn't have to wait for hours in a cage and I love that it's a one to one where it's just the groomer and your pet. Alex won me over with this. ....I had initially wanted my little Snowy's nails buffed after being clipped but Alex informed me that my Snowy was scared of the tool so he decided not to buff the nails. I absolutely loved that. He paid attention to how my dog reacted to the tool and made the wise decision not to proceed. Never once had those other groomers told me my dog was scared of that. I appreciate Alex's kindness towards my dog Snowy. Both Snowy and I are very happy with the service today. My little yorkie has been denied by many groomers due to his super bad anxiety. He's a rescue who had been very badly abused in the past. When the groomer, Alex, came to the door to take Roody he seemed comfortable with him from the start. This was the first time he'd been groomed in a while. I was very relieved when he rang the doorbell some time later with Roody nicely groomed in his arms, even had a cute bandana accessory. Alex was very knowledgeable about dealing with animals and their anxiety. This was my second time getting him to groom my pup, the first time was a bit rough, but this second time my dog had complete trust in him.. which never happens with anyone holding scissors. I HIGHLY recommend Sparkling Pets, they are sweet and gentle and know exactly how to work with the animals. They did a fantastic job with the grooming, definitely a 10/10! read more

I've taken my furbaby to a couple of other groomers before finally choosing the right one and after a lot of trial and error I've finally found the perfect groomer ! I swear by them !! I have had horrible experiences with groomers. Today I used Sparkling Pets and I am a happy and guilt free owner. I liked that my dogs are not kenneled for hours while waiting their turn to be bathed and groomed. Alex groomed both of my dogs (westie and pekingese) and did a wonderful job. Other groomers that I have used would just shave my dogs and say that they were too matted for anything else, which was not true. I would highly recommend Sparkling Pets. Pricing is the same amount (maybe cheaper) as other groomers plus you get great customer service, stress free dogs and a groomer that really cares about your pets. Why use anyone else? read more

A. MAZE ING!!! Simply amazing. I happened to see the mobile van parked on my street and thought I'd give it a shot. My cat Bianca as sweet as she is does not like to go outside. So much in fact, whenever we have moved we had to use sedative from the vet to move her because she turns...well... Difficult. So I definitely gave a bit of forewarning to the guy. But he was wonderful! Something like a cat whisperer. Bianca looks and smells great. The cat dander will be at a major low which is great for maintenance around the house and our little girls. Best mobile groomer in town! Sparkling Pets is the only groomer my dog has been to since she was a baby. I don't have to worry about her well-being because I know she's in good hands. My Dolce requires extra patience since she gets nervous when she goes in for her appointments and I know that she is treated with the utmost care and love. Oh I just love Sparkling Pets Mobile Groomer! I have 2 dogs and one hated being groomed before I found Sparkling Pets. She hated going to the groomer and always came back nervous, scared and dehydrated. The first time Sparkling Pets came, both my dogs were groomed, clean and very happy. I've now had them groomed 7 or 8 times and I'm still incredibly pleased. Their van is clean, customer service is fantastic, their work is great, and our dogs are in and out in about an hour. OMG...What a wonderful experience. We had our 2 labradoodles and a shitzu groomed. What is usually a very stressful situation for both us and our dogs turned into an easy and pleasurable experience. Even though my dog is roughly 60lbs, Alex handle him really well and I'm glad my dog wasn't much trouble while Alex was grooming him. The appointment wasnt nearly as long and we are use to but we were getting her shaved for her summer do. The shave looked pretty good. But the face looked awesome. The beard was cut in a very nice shape. Her eyebrows were perfectly blended and we were able to see her eyes! We plan to go back and can't wait to see how the full schnauzer cut would turn out.

The grooms were good rather than excellent, but what mattered most was her safety and wellbeing. Lexi is groomed monthly and regularly seen by a well-respected veterinary clinic. She was healthy with no joint issues aside from common small-dog allergies and anal gland maintenance. I booked Lexi for Wag One's new mobile grooming service, but after two reschedulings, her appointment was moved to August 15 at 11:00 a.m. On August 15, I dropped Lexi off as usual and handed her to Terrell. She was completely fine at drop-off. At pickup around 1:00 p.m., Terrell brought her outside. She appeared happy to see me, walked a few steps, and I placed her in her car seat. The moment I got home and set her down, I noticed she was limping. I checked her paws and saw redness. Upon closer inspection, I found a deep nick between her paw pads. She continued to limp. I immediately left a voicemail, then followed up with a text that evening when I received no response. On Monday, I took Lexi to her veterinarian and was told she now has a luxating patella. If it does not improve within a couple of weeks, she may require major surgery, potentially costing $6,000. Her vet also noted it was concerning given she had no prior history of this condition and had been completely fine before her grooming appointment. I then communicated with the owners, but their response felt defensive and dismissive. They suggested Lexi may have had a preexisting condition, which directly contradicts her veterinary history. The nick is on the same leg she is now limping on. Based on my conversation with her vet, a luxating patella can be caused by trauma, and I cannot help but wonder if something occurred during grooming when her leg may have been injured. I did not approach the situation accusing them of negligence, as I understand accidents can happen. However, their refusal to consider any possibility of injury was extremely upsetting. To dismiss my veterinarian's findings and question whether respected vets had ever examined her for this condition felt insulting. If during her paw trim she got nicked, she may have jerked in pain, causing a luxating patella. I have pictures of the nick, and her vet noted it at her checkup. So for the owners to deny anything happened is simply not true. Lexi has absolutely no history of a luxating patella or any joint issues. She is seen regularly by a reputable veterinary clinic. She was perfectly fine with no limp, cuts, or nicks before drop-off, and two hours later was suddenly limping with a nick on her left back paw and a luxating patella on the same leg. The owner kept repeating that Lexi walked out fine, but a dog can walk "fine" for a few feet and then have the knee socket pop out. They tried calling me, but I did not take the calls because I wanted to remain calm and have all the information before speaking to them. Had the response been one of concern or empathy, I would have been far more understanding. Instead, I was met with denial and a defensive attitude. After trusting Wag One with my dog since 2022, I am devastated that this situation occurred and that Lexi may now be facing major surgery following an appointment where she was supposed to be safely in their care. In addition, they reached out to my vet without my permission. The report from the vet was dismissed, with the owner questioning if, in the 5 years Lexi has been at this clinic, any of the vets ever checked her for this condition. Lexi has been seen by every vet at the clinic during those 5 years, depending on my schedule. I have spared no expense or care for my sweet dog, and now she has to endure pain, discomfort, and possible surgery. Unfortunately, the owners of Wag One are great as long as you don't question why your pet is not returned to you in the same condition and health as they were when dropped off. Ethically, they should have offered to handle Lexi's medical bills and potentially a $6k surgery. Instead, they dismissed her injury and claimed it was preexisting, although her medical history clearly states she has no preexisting condition and her grooms with them since 2022 also validate they never noted they saw her with a luxating patella.
