This company Dill Appliance referred through American Home Shield Company is lies and everything on their website is lies.. They do not have such emergency services or work capabilities.. They came out to my house to fix my dryer, claimed that it was fixable, stated 3 parts was needed and he advised me that I needed get my dryer ducts cleaned before he would ever come back to I stall any new parts, so the next day I had "Climate Control Company" come out to complete the work afterwards I called Dill Appliance to come back out as promised, I was scheduled between 12pm - 3pm on a Friday and on this day I washed all of family clothing spring cleaned and washed all my home bedding, curtains and even rugs.. Awaiting because I just knew my Samsung dryer was going to be properly fixed and I could spend all night drying all of my items that I had washed.... Long behold, Dill Appliance showed up at my house after 7pm with no courtesy warning, when they got here they disassembled my entire dryer, on the surface appearing to know what they were doing taking them several more hours and when they were done they failed to test their work, nor did they show it to be working however very oddly stated that all of the parts have warranty and if we have any more problems to call even after hours and that they would be here to make sure it be fixed... Well it was ALL LIES... No one answered any of my calls and no one returned any of my messages over the entire weekend including the next business day in which would have been today Monday June 25th.. I had to call and call and call and text them... My blood is absolutely boiling at this point - The owner "Calvin" is dry, rude, unfriendly, unaprocable, unprofessional, non-engaging and appears to be NOT interested. - Their never on time (no courtesy call or warning when late) -Their company has no checks and balances in place as it refers to their so called technicians and service calls - They have no quality assurance or quality control in place - And there sure in hell is no emergency or weekend service and dependability from this company!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! American Home Shield sent them out to repair my GE oven that was not heating. Dill Appliance Repair came out and said that the bake igniter needed replaced. They ordered the part and came back out a few days later to replace it. After the Dill Appliance Repair tech left, I turned on the oven and it still wouldn't heat. I called them back and they told me to contact American Home Shield because the tech said it could be due to an electrical issue. ??? Anyway, American Home Shield re-assigned my ticket to GE Appliances. And thank God!! GE stated that the Dill Appliance tech did not install the bake igniter correctly, and that the technician must not have known what he was doing. Apparently, installation of a bake igniter is a pretty, simple fix. GE just re-installed the bake igniter CORRECTLY, and the oven is now heating. GE repairman also said that due to Dill Appliance Repair not installing the part correctly, we had gas leaking into our oven. He said that was a potentially dangerous situation, and we could have had a major gas explosion. To sum it all up, DO NOT USE DILL APPLIANCE REPAIR. I am also going to contact American Home Shield. They need to be aware of situations like this so that they don't use this company in the future. Dill Appliance Repair could have had a major lawsuit on their hands, or worse yet, accidental death due to a gas explosion. read more

BEST EXPERIENCE!! We have had previous issues with our appliances and other technicians here in the past but I guarantee we will be calling y'all again over any one else! The manager is Mondaa. She got us on the schedule within hours of our AHS claim, was responsive, professional, courteous and flexible! Then our technician Mike called before coming, was on time, was professional, kind, very knowledgeable... It took about 1 second for him to fix our dishwasher (it was a latch- how embarrassing) Anyway he offered to and then checked both ovens and the stove to make sure there wasn't something else he could fix. I mean- who does that? He didn't have to do that but he did. In a world gone mad- it's refreshing to work w such a great company. Thank you again! read more

Great company ! The receptionist, Mondaa was super sweet and patient. She really try's to go above and beyond for who she helps. We all call super frustrated and just want things done. And she does everything she can to make sure we as customers are satisfied. Technician was out in a timely manner and repaired my dishwasher with no issues. Didn't leave a mess and made sure to not track in any mud from the rain! I will definitely use them again. read more

Had a dishwasher that was running but not cleaning. Gary came to see it, twice. His diagnosis was that there was nothing wrong with it and the reason our dishes aren't clean was because we didn't hand wash them before putting it in the dishwasher. (What the f?) He said we were welcome to get a second opinion. (OK, so he refused to fix it and challenged someone else to find the problem. Fine.) Except that he also refused to submit a report to AHS, a report they need in order to send someone else out. After waiting for weeks, we had to strongarm AHS to send another company despite never receiving the report from Gary. They sent someone from Fleming and the technician found the 3 parts not working properly within 5 mins. We're finally on our way to getting our dishwasher fixed despite Gary's deliberate efforts to prevent it. I don't know how Dill is still in business. Long story short, if you want your appliance fixed right away, call Fleming. If you want to pay someone to not only refuse to fix your appliance but also to stand in the way of it getting fixed, call Gary from Dill. read more

They are the worst and the technician Mike is a liar. I don't know why people buy home warranties. This is what their vendors do- bait & switch. The tech told me he couldn't duplicate the problem on my stove but he could see that all of the burners had new wiring except the burner that is creating soot. He agreed to change that wiring and said he had to order the part. I made him put that in writing, thank god. Here we are 2 weeks later and I called for status and was advised the tech said nothing is wrong because he couldn't duplicate the problem. Helllooo the electric stove is setting off my carbon monoxide detector and we're trying to duplicate a deadly situation??? I sent them a copy of what Mike wrote but I have little faith that they will fix the problem Update- the guy who came out the first time said his name was mike. In my opinion, this is the least professional firm I have ever dealt with. They intentionally sat on my AHS washing machine diagnosis for a week before filing the report saying they cannot get parts. I attribute this to being spiteful as the owner knew I wanted a timely diagnosis because in the event I needed to replace the machine, I wanted to buy a new machine before the sale at Home Depot expired. I believe he intentionally held the diagnosis and contact with AHS until after the sale expired. I am going on week three without a washing machine, and AHS said it could be another 7-10 days IF they can even find parts. Intentional and spiteful and my machine is still broken. read more

Dill appliance was sent by American Home Shield to repair our microwave and dishwasher. The dishwasher part was replaced with no issues. The microwave, in addition to a replacement of the circuit board, needed a new tray. Dill said the glass trays are rarely covered by AHS, but he'd ask. I told him I'd pay them for it, if AHS didn't cover it. A few days later he told me AHS did cover it, and the part had been ordered. When he came to repair microwave, he told me he'd mail tray to me when it arrived. He replaced the circuit board, but the problem wasn't fixed. Dill transferred the service to another company. My tray still hasn't arrived after a month. I contacted them today, and Dill said everything started over when they transferred the work. I decided to call AHS. AHS told me the part had been ordered by Dill and was shipped to them. AHS is going to further research the location of the part and get it to me. Something isn't quite right about how this took place. Also, AHS told me Dill ordered several parts for the microwave, then immediately transferred the work elsewhere. It looks suspicious. While I hope it was a legitimate miscommunication, AHS has agreed to put Dill on my policy's "Do Not Send" list of repair services. read more

I'm normally not in the business of one star review but felt compelled to write this to try and to help others avoid them. Bottom line ... If Dill Appliance is coming to Your Home ... RUN! Avoid them at all costs. Would you use someone to fix your dishwasher when they don't know how to turn off the water? NO! Don't Ever Use Dill Appliance. We've used American Home Shield Service for over 10 years. We've been very pleased with the companies they've sent to work on our different things. But then there was Dill Appliance. I'm shocked that AHS or anyone for that matter would associate with them based on their experience. A few weeks ago our dishwasher wasn't turning off. We called American Home Shield. Unfortunately we couldn't have gotten a less prepared person to help. He said there was a leaking part. He then pulled that leaking part off while there was still pressure in the water line, he then broke the valve trying to shut it off. With water flooding everywhere I had to ask him about if he had turned it off. He said he tried. We had to be the one suggesting turning the water off at the street and he said he "didn't have the tools". First, how in the world can someone do repair work like that without the tools. Really??? You knew in that moment you didn't have the tools to shut off the water? Then why in the world would you take something off??? How can someone be repairing your dishwasher when they don't know how to turn off the line or don't even think they have the tools for it. Isn't that 101 for repairs? It was only because my brother was on the spot to tell him that a basic wrench could be used to turn it off at the street ... But the damage has already be done. Our wood floors have been damaged with he water that seeped by the floors because he wasn't prepared. And worse, knowing he messed up, instead of owning up to it he tried to get me to sign some paper with some bogus job description. Its been 2.5 weeks and its still not repaired and he hasn't responded to my emails. No apology, no owning his mistake. No suggesting a solution. No submitting it with his insurance. Not even refunding the payment for terrible service. We're now having to get an attorney involved, my brother to sign an affidavit showing how we both witnessed the negligent and unprepared response. What's disappointing is he struck me as a nice guy. He just hasn't owned up to his mistake and responded. And don't buy any token response this guys lists on here. He may respond to an online review because he wants to look good. But be warned he wont call, email you for a few weeks when you're needing help. Needless to say, never use the guy again. read more

Despite multiple communications we would not be available at the time they scheduled without speaking to us, they assigned a tech to come anyway. When we called to reschedule they avoided calls, then asked AHS to find someone else to service us without any communication to us. Terrible results with this company partly because they are associated with my home warranty company, which doesn't want to pay for costly repairs or replacements, I'm guessing. I had a dishwasher that would not get the dishes clean, hot or dry. After 3 service claims, each with Dill Appliance Repair, Dill finally said they would replace the heating element. Either the one they installed was faulty or they didn't install it correctly because that didn't solve the problem. The next time they came out, again after paying my home warranty fee, they said there wasn't anything wrong with it. I canceled my warranty and bought a new dishwasher. Guess what? Clean, hot and dry dishes! But boy, did I pay dearly for this solution. read more

Terrible Experience. I will never use this company again. I called Dill Appliance out to fix my washer and dryer. They said they would order the parts but I did not hear from them for approximately a month. When I called, they said they could not get the parts and they would refund my service call fee. It took an estimated two dozen phone calls and approximately a dozen emails before they sent a check which bounced. After about a week, they put funds back in the account but they have yet to pay me for the bounced check fee which they said they would cover. I'm only giving one star, because I can't give zero. Calvin, the owner is absolutely rude and unprofessional! He reeks of cigarette smoke. He was assigned to us back in February through American Home Shield. He took forever to "fix" our dryer. He banged all the parts around and left the outside damaged and unable to fully close at the top. I reported his actions to AHS back in February. 7 months later my dryer is broken again. AHS sent out, wait for it...DILL APPLIANCE REPAIR! Unbelievable! I realized it was the same contractor only after I saw his picture in a text when he was on his way this morning, so I called AHS immediately. While talking with them, he showed up at my door not wearing a mask! I reminded him of how he behaved last time he was in my home, that he wasn't even wearing a mask and that he would not be coming in here. So uncomfortable for me. Dill was hired by AHS home warranty. The day of the scheduled repair, they called and I explained the issue. He said he knew exactly what the issue was, a fuse. He would order the part (how a repair company doesn't have a basic fuse is beyond me) and then schedule a time once the part was in. It has been 10 days and I still have not heard anything and I do not have a working dryer. This terrible experience seems to be in line with all of the other reviews. If this company comes up on your home warranty list of companies - do not use them. The worst part is AHS has you pre-pay for the service call and now I have to eat the cost with no consequence to Dill. Sent to us by AHS to repair a water leak from our LG dishwasher. I paid the service fee and Dill Came out JAN 3. They didn't even open the dishwasher and diagnosed it as needing a door seal and left, saying they had to order the part. After two weeks and not hearing from them, I called and the office lady told me the part is hard to get -- really? -- but she would try again. No answer as to why they call me and tell me there would be a delay. They came back a week later (three weeks have elapsed by now) with the door seal but when they opened the box the guy said the new part was broken and that he'd have to order another one. A month later...crickets. I can buy the part on Amazon and get it in two days but a repair "professional" can't get the part? Meanwhile, I'm out the service fee and AHS is offering me $257 dollars "cash out" for my $700 dishwasher. I hate Dill Appliance and I hate AHS. read more

if i could give 0 stars i would. American Home Shield sent Dill appliance repair out to fix my washer. The tech took just a couple of minutes to determine that yes, in fact, the gear kit needed to be replaced. he told me that even though it says Maytag "commercial technology" on the unit, the gear system is made of "cheap plastic gears." At this time my 15 year old walked in and my wife proudly beemed "can you believe when that when we got this washer my son would fit in it." My son thinking it funny said "Hey. If we get a new washer i can ride it like a carousel and spin around in it." The tech apparently didnt know enough about washing mashines to know that 1. The washer wont run with the lid up. 2. Washing your kids at 1500 RPM would totally ruin their skin. and back, and everything else. The tech then reported to the warranty company that the worn out plastic gears are Not normal wear and tear as apparently we are washing our kids in the washing machine or they are using it as a merry go round. The truth is the tech just didnt want to go to the work of completely rebuilding the machine and it was easier to just report "not normal wear and tear" and close the ticket. Now we have to pay for a second opinion or the warranty company wont repair or replace the washer. Whatever you do, if you use these guys or your warranty company sends them out, dont treat them like people. dont talk to them. Document everything they say. or better yet, make your warranty company send someone else. read more

Waited for them to show up only to receive a calling saying they were 'making sure I received the call that they weren't coming'. It was the first and only call I had received from them as I had been waiting by the phone to be available if they needed anything. Now, I have to wait an entire week without an oven so that they can come fix it because we cannot take off work everyday and wait for them to not show up. When called on their lie, the girl got uppity and said I could request another service. Only, it is not easy to request other companies with a home warranty. Dill appliance came to check my dishwasher, as they were the contractor that One Guard Home Warranty sent out. The technician was looked at the appliance for about 15 minutes and said the pump motor needed to be replaced and someone would call me in 5-10 days to set another appointment. 2weeks later I still hadn't heard from Dill Appliance or One Guard. After leaving numerous voicemails with Dill, and never receiving a call back, I called One Guard. One Guard stated that the technician said there were pebbles down in the pump and wore it out and since this wasn't normal wear and tear the warranty wouldn't cover the repair. But that I could call Dill appliance to have them come out to fix it and me pay for it. I said no thanks. I pulled the pump motor myself and didn't see any "pebbles". Being inquisitive I broke the motor apart to look for any unusual damage, didn't find anything wrong with it but I ordered a new pump motor from Amazon anyway. After all, that's what the tech said was wrong with it. I replaced the pump motor and still have the same issue. I called One Guard Home Warranty back to request a second service request, since the warranty company came with the purchase of our home. One Guard refused to have another technician come out. So the short and skinny of this is do yourself a favor and watch some YouTube videos to learn how to fix it yourself. After you watch a few videos you'll probably be just as competent as the technician's that One Guard Home Warranty contracts with. Guess I'll move on to the next video and try to diagnose the problem myself. I do not recommend Dill Appliance or One Guard Home Warranty to stand behind the service they offer. read more

Technician came in to replace a bad water input valve on our front loading washer. After he "completed" the job, he informed us that the washer was fixed and working fine. First load of clothes we get error codes on the washer for Insufficient Water Supply. I find that he did not turn the water on from the valve at the wall - kind of difficult to test your work without turning the water on. I opened the valve and the washer operates as expected - Except I see water leaking from under the washer. I got behind the washer and can see water leaking at the hose connection to the newly installed valve - which was not even screwed down to the washer wall - it was left hanging by the hose - which the technician cross threaded on to the valve resulting in the water leak. I ended up replacing the valve myself. His work was actually worse than this... I've left some of the things he damaged out. read more
