    Lots of pansies

The garden shop was buzzing with individuals and families looking for their LIVE christmas tree. There were still a lot of trees here. The available love plants for the garden were sparse and limited. The poinsettias were all inside as they should be however they could have used a bit more care. The plants were looking leaves and looking a bit haggard. There were quite a few though and some of them were still in good shape. There was plenty of help both inside and out.

Honestly.. upset. Went to get pots that I literally dug for through other pots for because they were in a mess. Asked someone to help me find cactus soil .. didn't know where it was.. asked about about tropical.. didn't know where that was... checked out $261. Had to go inside to pay, then have to go back across the parking lot , to get to my car by the garden center because the gates closed 10 mins before 8. Only for the 2 large pots of $104 to fall and break in the parking lot... went back inside to see if anything could be done. They said no.

We needed a new dishwasher and we decided to go to Home Depot because we had always gone there to buy our home needs. We immediately need a dishwasher and when we get there nobody is working in appliances, we ask workers near by if they are in appliances and they all say no and that they can call for someone, every time we ask we hear them calling for assistance in appliances over the PA and no one shows up to help us even after THREE callings over the PA.after almost 15 minutes of waiting someone shows up.in the end a waste of time and overall bad service.

Tool box I was expected to lift into my truck with one other person

If you like great one star reviews, grab your popcorn because this is gonna be a long one. Now I'm gonna say I am that guy that "doesn't usually write reviews" because I don't. I have a job as well and I understand when employees are having a bad day or tired from a long shift. Either way I understand how it is to be on the other end of a customer asking for a lot of help. So let's get started... I've been looking for a certain Milwaukee tool box for about a month now. Today after work I called my "home" Home Depot that is located off Hebron and was told that there was none there but the Colony location had some. The Colony location happened be on my way home from work and to my surprise there they had one out on display that I was interested In. I tried grabbing two employees from paint to help me and I was told to go to " hardware" for help. Now I'm not new to Home Depot and I've never heard of a Hardware department. I figured I was just dumb and decided to find it. After a minute of looking I asked a cashier where Hardware was and I was told that Hardware was aisle 12-14, and that someone in there was gonna help me. After looking in hardware I couldn't find anyone I decided to just grab the toolbox myself. When I went to grab the toolbox there happened to be a employee named Joseph there and I asked for him to help move some two Husky toolboxes out of the way so I can get the one I had through. He seemed annoyed helping and just told me to roll it to the Self Checkout. There I was helped by a shorter female where I asked for help to move the 56" Toolbox into my lifted truck. I had told her jokingly " y'all might need a forklift because this is heavy" and she told me to back my truck up in the front and someone would help me there. When I pulled up she rolled out the toolbox to the front and pointed to a gentleman across the lot and said " he will help you out ". Now ,Thomas the employee she was pointing at seemed bigger 50 yards away but when he got closer he was no bigger than myself. I am 5'10" , 160lbs and I knew there was no way we would get this toolbox in the bed of my truck. But Thomas was optimistic and we gave it a shot and failed to move the toolbox one inch off the ground. Thomas took me inside where he called for help over their PA system , asking for two people to help out in the front lot. After his announcement I watched the short female cashier not move a muscle and watched the previous employee Joseph look me straight in the eyes, looked at the toolbox that was next to my truck, then walk past it as Thomas tried to get his attention. Thomas and I were about 20 feet from Joseph and he continued to walk away. After another 10 minutes of waiting I had asked Thomas once more to ask for help and he went inside and grabbed the shorter cashier and Joseph to help me out. Once we had three Home Depot employees, including myself and my friend, we were able to lift the toolbox over our shoulders into the truck. Now I would like to mention that "Joseph" had Assistant Manager on his apron and Thomas was Mentally Disabled ( Thomas was not a problem at all) . Thomas was helpful and understanding ,however my big problem here is that a Assistant managed saw me grab this huge toolbox and thought that Thomas and I were more than capable to lift the toolbox into my truck. The fact I had to talk to five different people and no one understood when I told them this toolbox is heavy and there is no way I can do it myself. All employees today expect for Thomas seemed to careless about their jobs and care more for the paint drying on the wall. I get it was 5:00pm on a Thursday afternoon, I myself just got off work but all I was asking for was at most 1 minute of help. I didn't think that was a lot coming from employees of an Hardware store but I digress. The Hebron location was far better help in the past even when I bought close to $800 of wood from them someone from the lot came out to my truck without me asking to help me out. It shows today that it's not the job but the employees that ultimately made this trip hard. Excited about the toolbox, not so excited taking it out my bed but that's my job to do. To whoever is reading this, please don't see this as me crying.. more as a warning that if you want to buy a toolbox, make sure to bring 4 friends with you.

I should've learned my lesson after my post with their terrible customer service. I ordered our fridge on May 6th. Delivery was scheduled to arrive on June 2nd. Because I did not hear anything on delivery day I had to call to ask what time it was expected to arrive. Apparently the delivery crew had no idea about our fridge and rescheduled for today, June 7th. Meanwhile, the fridge we had broke a week prior so now we have gone 2 weeks without a fridge because of their mistake. They got here at 7:30 this morning. I understand the new fridge was big but they completely tore up our walls, scratched the fridge, and tried to pretend like it wasn't there. I have already called and made a claim. Just could not believe the amount of damage it took just to install a fridge

This Home Depot location has THE BEST garden center in the area. I took a moment to socially distance today amongst the intoxicating fragrance of the jasmine in bloom. Keep up the good work!

I happened upon Sparks Appliance after spending time shopping down the road at NFM. NFM had a large selection but I was less than excited about their prices. While at NFM, I looked for other appliance sellers on Google and found Sparks. They were close by so I decided to see what they had to offer. The owners Shanon and Tatiana were friendly, down-to-earth, and helpful. They had the most recent version of the LG washer I previously had and Shanon let me know they had matching dryers at their warehouse. The washer had a few scratches on the top but that was it - no other issues. He offered to let us come back and inspect & approve the dryer before delivery and that's what we did. The dryer ended up having a bump in the back and that was it. Both blemish issues were not a big deal to me because I store my laundry baskets on top of my units. We saved more than 50% off retail by purchasing at Sparks. They tested the units prior to delivery and make sure they work and also tested them again in our home. We are completely happy with our purchase!

I was so kindly greeted on the phone, clearly told what the price for a visit would be and an appointment was made same day. Washing Machine: Nick ran all the error codes on my washer to figure out what the problem was and discovered it was simply a leaky door seal. His honesty was refreshing. Dryer: I was worried the lint was incredibly backed up and needed to be cleared. Also our vent hose had come off and needed to be re-attached. Again, with quick precision Nick completely dis-asembled our dryer, vacuuming out the dust, dirt and debri that had collected inside. He washed and dried the drum and re-attached the hose. He cleaned the entire vent hose and inside of the dryer free from lint. Electric Stove Top: a year or so ago two of the burners stopped working. We figured with the stovetop being 25 years old it had just gotten old. Nick inspected the entire system and discovered the two burners had gone out because a short had occurred and burned up where the electric chord connects to the control panel. Because of the age of our stove top he said he and his office would try and track down a replacement control panel and once they did they would reach out to let us know. I was so impressed by the honesty and hard work ED Services offered. His patience and friendliness also put me at ease. We will absolutely be calling them out again for any other appliance issues, should they arise.

I never thought that appliance repair would be so rewarding. But, with "planned obsolescence"…read moremaking newer appliances fail sooner and sooner throughout time, I wanted to give it a shot. I had TWO appliances go out - a non-smart, "old school", plain jane GE fridge, and a Whirlpool washing machine that we love. The fridge and freezer had suddenly stopped remaining cold enough for safe food storage. Serge had the fridge back up with a new defrost heater element module, and it has been going steady for weeks, now. I suspect we may get another 12 years out of this beast. Remarkably, the ice maker is also working like new, again. I guess when that element is going out, it affects much in the whole unit, with the way they circulate the air in these things. Serge explained this very well to me and I appreciate that transfer of knowledge more than anything else. The washer required a new control board and pump. This is in the garage, and Serge was able to determine that rats may have gotten in at some point, doing their chewing thang, and the wires shorted, blowing the pump, eventually blowing the controller. We have since been fostering some feral cats, and rats have been a rare sight, now. Happy to have it repaired. The entire time, I felt in-the-loop. Everything was explained in perfect detail for my level of understanding. Serge took time to hop on his phone and seek alternatives to offer me choices in paths to take. Honest communication at every step. Poor Vera. No one mentions Vera. VERA ROCKS! She was in a happy mood for every call. She took time to go between Serge and myself, if she was unsure about an answer. She never made anything up when she did not know the answer. I always felt in good hands dealing with Vera. Both of these people are good, honest, hard-working people and I hope you will consider Lucid Appliance Repair the next time you are faced with a failing "loved one", instead of buying deeper into the overly capitalist chain of breaking/buying/breaking/buying. Serge is the appliance doctor (and Vera the nurse) that you need.

I looked for the first one I could find with 5 stars on Yelp, and found Lucid Appliance Repair. I called them first thing in the morning, Maria was super friendly on the phone, and she scheduled a technician for that afternoon. Serge called me back, set a time, and showed up on schedule. He said it's probably the fan that needs cleaning, and remarked that my refrigerator is super reliable, so it is worth repairing. After a quick inspection, he reported that the thermocouple in the mechanical temperature control was old and needed replacing. Sure enough, it was clogged with water and ice. So he cleaned it up and got the refrigerator working until he could get a new thermocouple. Serge called again the next morning, reported that he had the new part, came over, and installed it. It worked fine and has been ever since. "It will last another 20 years," he said. I should live that long! I paid with credit card. Five Stars to Serge and Lucid Appliance Repair.
