The plan was to install a new…read morewiring harness for LED lighting, new gauges, a steering column, EFI, and address some cosmetic and safety issues. The price estimate seemed reasonable and Scott initially came across as trustworthy. The agreed-upon timeline was 4 months, with plenty of cushion before my son's birthday. At the 4-month mark, we stopped by to check progress and to our shock, the truck had been wrecked while in their care. There were large dents down both sides, a punctured cab, and the front bumper was torn off. Scott casually admitted he hit things while moving the truck into the shop but he never contacted us to inform us. We only found out because we showed up in person. Unfortunately, this was only the beginning of the problems, and I now wish I had removed the truck immediately. Scott said he would "fix" the damage, but instead the project dragged on for 14 more months, with constant delays, broken promises, and poor communication. My son's birthday came and went with no completed truck. I repeatedly had to visit the shop in person just to get updates, and week after week I was told it would be finished "by the end of the week," which was never true. When we finally got the truck back, it still wasn't safe or complete. The paint had visible defects, the doors wouldn't shut properly, and it was not safe for my teenage son to drive among about a dozen other repairs or restorations that were done extremely poorly. Despite the accident being caused by the shop, Scott tried to charge me $10,000 for the paint work related to the damage. Wanting to resolve the situation, I reluctantly agreed to pay half, even though I would never have needed paint work in the first place if the truck had not been wrecked. Within a week of taking the truck home, the paint began bubbling and peeling, the wiring harness malfunctioned and caused lighting failures, and the doors still did not operate correctly. Over the next year, I continued contacting Scott for repairs he repeatedly promised to address but never followed through on. After over 2 years of trying to get this truck fixed, I told him I was done chasing him and would seek a refund or take legal action. Sadly, this review doesn't even come close to covering the full extent of the stress, delay, and disappointment this experience caused. Based on my experience, I strongly warn anyone considering this shop. I found the workmanship on every level to be poor, the communication misleading, and the handling of my classic vehicle extremely careless. I would never trust another vehicle here! And most of the time I've been to the shop, everyone seems happy to be there. Over the years I've had a number of BMWs run through the stable, from an E90 V8 M3 to an E30 318iC, and our current 328 and x3 diesel fleet. They've all been serviced here for years. The techs, we mostly work with Brandon, are thorough in the assessment of your vehicle, recommending the things that need to be done right away and things that are coming in the future. They aren't constantly trying to upsell something that isn't needed. Service writer, Aaron, is always straightforward and communicative. The flow of information from the shop to you is fast and free, so you're always in the loop with the workings of your car. Mike, who runs the whole thing, is a stand up guy. Seems to be always in hand to help out his team when needed, and has an eclectic collection of his own. There's always something new and different being worked on. Shop is a little hard to get to, but we'll worth the trouble of getting there. Not many honest mechanics left I'm afraid. Trust that this team is who you want taking care of things if you can't do it yourself.
