Great Ambience on deck. Good music, fantastic views Friendly prompt service Nachos....meh almost no meat in the "chili" (mostly beans). Almost NO Cheese!? Bland toppings. For $17.00, huge disappointment. Go for the view

The themed restaurant and service were excellent. If I was rating them in just those 2 things it would be 5 stars. The food was hit or miss. My strawberry avocado salad was good with a nicely smoked salmon. Another person was however served cold chili.

I don't have a whole lot to say about my visit to Sparky's, but it was pretty good! The thing that still stands out to me the most was the crazy view at the restaurant. There were wide windows all along where you could look out and see the snow capped mountains way in the distance. It was stunning, and quite the way to take a meal. The food didn't shock me into a trance or make me want to completely forget about it. It was somewhere in the middle of average. The nacho appetizer was probably the best part. I did enjoy my simple grilled cheese and tomato soup, though. A last note is that my dear mother mistakenly thought this place was called 'Stinky's' when trying to remember the name after going. Sparky's definitely doesn't STINK, but with how hysterical we found that to be I thought it was funny enough to share here. Rock on, Stinky's!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great atmosphere, great service and great food![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Came into town on a cold night and had brisket chile, it's excellent! My husband considers himself an oficianado of fish and chips and claimed it was the best he had in the past twenty years! If you get a chance, stop by. You'll be happy you did.

This place was recommended to us by the front desk agent at our hotel and we couldn't have been more pleased! We were lucky enough to get the seat in the back of the old truck, which on kids loved! The whole atmosphere was so fun!! The service: our server was a godsend. She was supposed to have gotten off the floor, but the girl releasing her had to take off. In spite of that she was extremely kind, patient, and helpful. Plus, all the things she suggested were DELICIOUS. She went above and beyond and we couldn't have been more grateful. The food: The beer, the drinks, the food, the homemade bbq sauce - perfect. My crispy chicken sandwich was SO good. It was like a piece of southern fried chicken on bun. It was light and delicious. I highly recommend. My husband got the chicken avocado sandwich and also really enjoyed it. My kids all got cheeseburgers and ate every bite. They also bring this caddy of four different bbq sauces (LOVE) anyone who knows me know I'm yhe condiment queen so I had to try them all! They were all great, but my favorite was the honey bbq! If we are ever in Butte again we will definitely go back!

Fun seating! We loved the decorations

I have had the pork chop sandwiches at other Butte, Montana locations, but it never worked out to try the original until now. I was SO excited!! This location is in the Uptown area. Very convenient for us, as we were only staying a couple blocks away. There is an exterior order/pickup window, and very limited stool/counter sitting inside. (About 10 stools, I think.) I really wanted the full experience, so we went inside and took a seat. There were only two other customers sitting at the counter. The gentleman inside grabbed an order pad and a pen and walked up to us. We said hi. He said hi. We waited for him to adk for our order, but he just kept doodling, so we finally told him what we wanted: two pork chop sandwiches, one order of fries, and one large milkshake. A few minutes later he returned with two sandwiches and sort of tossed them at us. About 4-5 minutes later, he tossed a paper bag of fries in our direction. Then he stood in front of us, with his back to us, and made a milkshake for a customer that came in after us. Then he mixed up ranch dressing and started filling cups with the dressing. Also with his back to us. (We sat directly in front of the milkshake machine.) He did not acknowledge us again. We did not receive our milkshake. When we got up to leave, I thought he might turn around and give us our bill, but he continued to ignore us. Would not even turn around. So I walked down the counter to where the cash register was located, thinking he might come and take our money then. Nope. He would not even turn around. There was a guy standing just to the side of us on the other side of the counter. He was cooking the food. He sort of ignored us for a couple of minutes as well, but he was really busy, so I understood why he didn't have time for us. He finally did ask us what we had, and I told him "two pork chop sandwiches and one order of fries. And a large milkshake, but we never got that." He replied, "Ok. $15.75" and that was it. No surprise, apology, explanation, nothing. Sort of seemed like he was used to it. I regret it now, but I gave him a $20 and walked out. That was too much of a tip for what was possibly the rudest, worst service we have ever received. I will never go back to this place. It was incredibly disappointing. The best pork chop sandwich is just down the road at Freeways Tavern. I will be going there for my pork sandwich fix from now on. Oh.... I better talk about the food. The service was so bad, I forgot. The breaded pork patty is very thin. But it is tender and good. The sandwich itself was decent size. It came with mustard, onion, pickle, lettuce, and tomato - as a pork chop sandwich should. The fries were crispy. Everything was very hot. There are better pork chop sandwiches in Butte. But this is the original, so every other one is a copy of this one. Too bad the horrible, rude service will keep us away.

Many of the presidents ate there while they toured through the US and several A list celebrities as well. It was a beautiful space and it will forever be missed. Lucky for us, Selina, the owner opened again just next door. She even recently hung the old neon sign back up that was saved by the brave men and women of the Butte Silver Bow Fire Department during the fire. The first thing I ever had there was the Miner's Omelette which, as you can imagine, is very hearty with sirloin, onions, peppers and cheese. I also really enjoyed their country fried steak and they have excellent, classic diner style hash browns as well. Really grateful that the fire, although extremely damaging, took no lives and harmed no persons. Recently I looked into the pit of what remains of the old M&M and in the rubble, purple flowers were blooming. It was a nice little reminder or resilience and how life always finds a way.

We were excited to try it since it was one of four spots recommended by the visitor center. We had originally been looking for a historical venue, but since the original building had unfortunately burned down, we decided to go and try their recommended steak special. Our party of four ordered the steak special, the country fried chicken steak, the lobster roll, and the pork sandwich. My husband and I shared the steak special which was very good, and the the lobster roll. The prices were fair overall (though we did notice some unmentioned upcharges on the bill). The lobster roll was okay although I wouldn't order again. Our friends ordered the country fried chicken steak and the pork sandwich. The pork sandwich was a big disappointment. The meat felt like processed, pressed meat, and my friend only ate half of it. The service was a deal breaker. Just as I took my last bite, an employee named Roxanne (who wasn't even our server) marched up to our table. She aggressively asked to clear our plates and pack up our food, stating that a lady in a mobility scooter needed our exact table. To be absolutely clear: we were a party of four, and this was a standard table--not a designated, accessible handicap table. When I pointed out to Roxanne that one of our companions was still eating his meal, she completely ignored it and doubled down, clearing plates and asking again to pack food. Feeling incredibly uncomfortable and rushed, my companion just gave up and stopped eating right there. Forcing paying guests to abandon their meals at a standard table of four to quickly flip it is entirely unacceptable. We were there less than one hour. The lady in the scooter moved to the bar when we left. This left such a terrible taste in our mouths that we will never return and absolutely DO NOT recommend.

We hesitated at first with the shepherds pie as it was not the typical recipe, this was made with lamb and topped with colcannon potatoes. Because our friends weren't familiar with those potatoes, they settled on the fish instead, ordering the 2-piece and 3-piece cod dinners.
