I arrived early on purpose for some happy hour cocktails and bites before my dinner resy, the bar and front seating area is lovely, the glass front allows for people watching outside. When it was time for dinner we moved to the main dinning area, and that's when I saw how big and pretty the rest of the restaurant was. My group and I decided to do Miami Spice and it was well worth it. The portions were pretty big, which allowed us all to share and try each others dishes. The salad was a stand out for app and for the mains the Chicken Milanese and Lemon garlic spaghetti were great, on their own and made for an even better entree paired together. Our waiters were knowledgeable and funny, they helped us pick dishes and sample wines before ordering. We also learned that on this Thursday night there was live music which started around 7:45 and played throughout the night. We had a fantastic evening, we were well taken care of and at no point did we feel rushed. One note to keep in mind is that if someone in your party is participating in the Miami Spice the entire table needs to participate, which was not an issue for us as we went with that in mind already. read more

Came for dinner for a reservation for 5 ladies. Arrived at 8:55pm for a 9pm reservation. We waited over an hour to be seated. They said because the full party wasn't there. It was 1 girl that was running late because her flight was delayed so she was going to meet us at the restaurant. After being seated it was very nice and the servers were kind. We ordered the 34oz Porterhouse, Lobster Linguine and the Lemon and Garlic Spaghetti for the table. It was very average. Nothing impressed any of us. We agreed maybe we should have gotten our own meals and maybe we would have found something we liked better. The aesthetics were there tho. Truly surprising and beautiful spot. The room seems to grow as you enter. I like the extra-long bar area, since every chic restaurant in Miami requires you spend time there before you're seated. The low seating areas are sexy and cozy at the same time. The restaurant, the first in America, celebrated the Amalfi Coast during our visit. I wish they piped in lemon scent as well, but the ambiance was a 10/10. Each dish was good, I didn't taste our chicken order, and I really only remember the steak. Unfortunately, our fish dish was forgotten and we were told we didn't order it when we did. They rushed out a plate and it seemed, rushed -- plain and underdone. We were celebrating a birthday and oddly, they stuck candles in each of the many desserts we ordered. Lastly, there are items that are supposedly for sharing. They really are not. Sparrow Italia completely exceeded my expectations. The restaurant is absolutely stunning inside. Elegant, upscale, and everything you'd want from a fine dining experience. Add in the live music, and the ambiance is easily a 10/10. It made the whole dinner feel extra special. They started us off with fresh bread served with olive oil and balsamic, which was a great way to kick things off. We shared the giant meatball for our appetizer, and it definitely lived up to the hype. For my entrée, I ordered the Truffle Cacio e Pepe, and oh my god... it was so flavorful. The black truffle, pecorino, and cracked pepper came together perfectly. We also ordered the chicken parm, and I was not expecting it to be the size of a pizza! It was huge and absolutely delicious. We came for Miami spice month but opted to order from the main menu. Please note that all parties must order from the Spice menu or regular menu. You can't split it up. The lighting and decor was amazing. Sparrow almafi was well executed. The staff was attentive and made sure to check in or refill our waters. The food was delicious. The lobster linguine was a nice portion but was just a little under flavored for me. My partner had the branzino and really enjoyed it. The oysters were fresh. The truffle Caesar salad was filling. What an incredible venue! It's chic, classy, and the service makes you feel truly taken care of. My mother and I shared the seafood risotto and the chopped salad, and we were wowed by the flavors. This is an update to my initial review of: Update: I went this past weekend after being a 5 star all these times that i have gone, i have to drop it down to 4. Everything in my original review stays the same except this 1) They have a summer menu where they took away the chicken parm, the wagyu filet presentation and the plate itself was better in the original menu, and the changes on the menu are ok. 2) The prices have continued to go up and the value is just not there anymore IMO - example - meatball was $42 now. I really do love this place but probably wouldnt come back until the summer menu is gone and then see what the prices are then. Original review - "New Italian Spot in Wynwood. They have valet upfront or try to find street parking or parking garage. Recommended to make reservations ahead of time. Staff was friendly and attentive. They also have a bar area to sit at. They have some live music at night. Not sure if it's all nights. My favorite items on the menu so far are the meatball, spicy rigatoni ala vodka and the rocher dessert. Came here with my husband to celebrate his birthday, Friday night with reservations for 8pm. We were promptly greeted but had to wait 5-10 mins or so to be taken to our table. Initially we were seated at this tiny table which is really only suitable for one person that's only ordering a drink with no food. I noticed the put all parties of 2 at these tiny tables. I asked to be moved to somewhere with more space and was accommodated. We ended up being seated at a much larger table that had a cute lemon arch above it. Our waiter was great, knowledgeable, offered food recommendations without us asking and checked in frequently. To order we had the CHILI CRAB LINGUINE, SPICY RIGATONI ALLA VODKA, 8OZ IMPERIAL WAGYU FILET and JUMBO PRAWNS. Unfortunately the food was just ok. The rigatoni and steak did taste a lot better than the crab linguine and prawns. The dishes lacked flavor, the prawn in particular was very bland and very charred. My drink however, was delicious and I highly recommend. From the free spirited portion of the drink menu I ordered the SECRET GARDEN. It consisted of elderberry, salted raspberry, palo santo, lion's mane, chamomile, lime, honey and tonic.' The music playlist and vibes were also really good. There is live entertainment on the weekends I believe after 8pm. The singer that night even came by our table and sang a bit to us which was a nice touch. We came to Sparrow for an anniversary dinner. We were very excited and were immediately greeted as we walked inside. We had reservations but they said that the table was not ready so they took us to the bar to wait in the meantime. The bartender was great and gave great recommendations. We made most of it and had a drink as we waited. After almost 20 minutes our table was not ready and mind you that was with a reservation. I went towards the hostess and she said that she would come once the table was ready. I will say this really deterred our experience and hindsight this almost felt like a tactic to purposely direct you to the bar and hold you there until you're eventually led to the table as I noted they did the same thing to the rest of the people that came in after us. We were about to leave and finally after about 40 minutes waiting, we were taken to our table. Our waiter was extremely nice and gave us great recommendations and went with the Spicy Rigatoni and got a bottle of wine. The food was phenomenal and we got lucky because that night there was a cool jazz singer/performer even though it was a night they were not supposed to be there. One thing to note is that they do not have a performer every night, so if that's something you want make sure to check the schedule. Overall the Jazz experience with the great quality food was a great way to spend our anniversary but I didn't appreciate the connivance of the establishment prior to being seated for dinner. read more

We started our night with a Spanish Ribeira Sacra White Wine which for my liking it wasn't chilled enough so I asked the lady to please put it on ice & sprinkle salt for 20 mins. It was perfectly cold afterwards. For our appetizers: * The B.I.G. Meatball was made to perfection and eat bite was melting in your mouth. Shaved Pecorino on top was a cherry on top ! * Crispy Arancini was a little bland on the inside, black truffle was still missing a little. All in all, excellent crispiness on the outside but majorly lacking in flavor. * Truffle Burrata was definitely our favorite appetizer of the night! Sweet and salty combination plus truffle makes everything so much better! Must order! For our mains: * Bone Marrow Cappelletti is a must order! Wish it had a little more bone marrow to it but dish was to die for! * Linguini & Clams loved it! Took a day trip to Miami on a random Monday because TikTok brought me here! It is such an aesthetically pleasing restaurant with food & vibes to match! Cons: The experience was highly overpriced given the food quality, descriptions, and social media hype. The bread was stale. The "BIG" meatball was just okay, definitely did not seem like half a pound, and was not worth $36. The bone marrow cappelletti actually made me nauseous while eating it, and my partner did not like it either. The truffle cacio e pepe is shown in the photo. Honestly, a 10-year-old could make a better pasta dish. There was no truffle flavor whatsoever. Someone came by with a grater and what was supposed to be white truffle, but there was not even one note of truffle taste, and trust me, I know truffle. As for the entertainment, it began at 9:00 p.m. and ended at 9:17 p.m. The singer and band were good, but the performance was extremely brief and fairly basic. The song selection was smooth rather than overly touristy, and I will give them credit for the sound design. The music was clear, but not overpowering, so you could still have a conversation. Very middle-of-the-road for me. I dined here in November 2025 on a Sunday evening. For starters, the ambience is wonderful. The restaurant is very dimly lit and has a very romantic/sexy vibe. The "theme" is hip-hop so there was R&B/hip-hop music playing in the background which was great. Towards the end of the night, there was also a lounge singer and guitarist (or bassist, can't remember) and they performed some R&B classics. As for the food, it was less memorable than the vibes. The appetizers left much to be desired. I know this is more of an Italian fusion/steakhouse but Italian restaurants generally have very good appetizer options - this place did not. I believe there were two raw/crudo seafood options, there was a beef carpaccio option, and I think also an arancini. Where was the fried calamari option?! What about the fried zucchini?! I feel like any Italian restaurant worth their salt has to have one or the other if not both. Since there was no calamari or zucchini, I opted for the beef carpaccio, and honestly, it wasn't great. It was under salted, and the only real flavor profile was the truffle. Ask where the main dishes, there were two seafood pasta options. When we were seated, I was informed that the whole lobster option was unavailable, so I attempted to order the other seafood option, which was a lobster and shrimp or calamari pasta. (I cannot remember exactly which seafood was in the pasta dish.) After ordering the waiter came back and let me know that this dish was also unavailable. I wound up ordering the beef cheek pasta dish, which was OK. It's served on a plate with a thick layer of a melted sharp cheese. Not my favorite, but if you really like cheese and beef, try it. Amazing dining experience at Sparrow Italia in Wynwood. From the ambiance to the service to the food, everything about Sparrow is a total vibe. Although it is an Italian Steakhouse, this trip we opted for all seafood, so a second visit is in store for the full steakhouse experience. All of the pastas are homemade and you can taste the difference from boxed premade pasta. The pasta sauce on the Lobster Linguine was absolutely delicious. It was like a spicy vodka sauce but better. The grilled octopus was cooked perfectly and paired with a red pepper puree and potatoes that we couldn't get enough of. It was fresh and smoky and not at all fishy. It was amazing. The prawns were seasoned and cooked perfectly just the same. The texture and taste did not disappoint on but and also, they were HUGE. Largest prawns I've ever seen/eaten. The Sparrow Chop is top 3 favorite salads of all time. It's an explosion of flavor, with pickled onions and crispy kale and crunchy pistachios; I took home the leftovers it was so good. Sweet, tart, fresh, honestly everything I look for in a salad. The drinks were also top tier. I had the "If I Ruled The World" and my friend had the Negroni. Both drinks were delicious and paired really well with our meal. For dessert we had the chocolate mousse, which was like a Ferrero Rocher ball with a delicious mousse center. I'm not a big dessert person and this was the perfect way to close out the experience. Art was a fantastic host and server. He made sure we were well informed on the items we ordered and catered to our every wish. The restaurant had a live performance by an R&B singer on Saturday evening too, just adding to the good vibes. 10/10 recommend Sparrow Italia to all lovers of Italian cuisine. read more

Missed the Mark! :-/ Visited Sparrow for a 2nd time and didn't quite have the same experience. This time, I came with my partner for date night. We started by orderring a specialty cocktail each and we shared an appetizer. The drinks were not impressive. So much so that I choose a glass of wine for our second round and my partner asked for a basic vodka tonic. My main, the Cacio e pepe, was overly salty and the prawns were sadly overcooked to a mushy texture. The overall ambiance and vibes were nice. The live vocalist sang quite well. Our server was yet to be found most of the night, and the quality of the food was such a disappointment. Especially after I hyped the place up to my partner the way way I did. Won't be returning. We walked in for our reservation and had to wait about 10 to 15 minutes because our table was occupied. Not a big deal at all, but worth noting. The seating was a disappointment. We were placed in the back next to the bar, somewhat isolated and just overlooking the rest of the room. A major reason I wanted to visit was to see the live band, but we could not see the performance from our table at all, and the speakers were uncomfortably close to us. The food was a mixed bag but had some serious highlights. We started with the Wagyu carpaccio. I appreciated the experience of trying new flavors, and while I personally did not enjoy it, my partner did. The massive meatball was awesome. The steak was a 10 out of 10 with incredible flavor and a perfect crust, and the potatoes were exactly as crispy as advertised. We also ordered the spicy rigatoni. It was a bit too spicy for my taste, though I cannot really complain since the warning is literally in the name. Service started off decent, but went downhill after the first 30 minutes. The food took a very long time to arrive, and the waitress allowed my water glass to sit empty. I was excited to try Sparrow after hearing many great reviews. We did wait a little long for our table and to get sat but they offered us a dessert on the house so it was a nice gesture! For apps, we started with the eggplant rollatini, and ahi tuna tartare. For me, the eggplant lacked flavor, I only tasted toasted breadcrumbs, not my favorite plate. The ahi tuna tartare on the other hand was absolutely delicious. For my entree, I ordered the spicy vodka rigatoni pasta and it was so so good I brought the leftovers home (no good food left behind!) From the moment we walked in we were greeted nicely and walked to our seats. We came with a party of 8 for a friend's birthday. The place itself is gorgeous, from the seats, to the chandeliers, everything about this place looks luxury. The waiters are on top of refilling drinks and the food would come out at perfect timing. The vibe of the restaurant is very sexy and romantic. I love the music playing in the background. The cocktails were delightful. We ordered the Truffle Burrata and Truffle Pizza. It appears they used very mediocre truffles, you can see the truffle shaving but lacked any truffle aroma or taste. We also had the Bone Marrow Cappelletti this dish is very impressive. The culinary execution is genuinely high-end. The Lobster Al Forno was buttery and sweet, and the Prime Tomahawk steak was seared flawlessly. Every time I go here it truly gets better and better. I try something new each time and all of the pastas have blown me away. Another thing I was impressed by was the chocolate hazelnut dessert--coming from a girl who doesn't like sweets I LOVED it! The entertainment is always 10/10 as the singers make it a point to walk around the entire room and involve everyone who's interested. The vibe is sexy but very nice for groups or girls nights as well and I love the music there. I cannot, CANNOT, express how AMAZING this place is. If I could give it six stars, I would. We went here for some amazing food and drinks, and trust that it did not disappoint. We came from Vegas and were pretty spoiled in Nevada without food. But this place lived up to everything it shows and represents. Their bartender carefully crafted our drinks and we were so happy with them. The service was outstanding and extremely accommodating and we got seated right next to the live performer who was amazing. The environment was dim but so lovely and lovely. All of the food was absolutely delicious, and I would have their truffle pasta every single day if I could. We're so grateful to have experienced this place. Came here with my bf for date night. From the outside the place looks like whatever But inside it is beautiful, Intimate, and cozy. Our waiter was Niky and he was wonderful. Friendly and gave us amazing recommendations. My boyfriend drank moment of clarity which he absolutely loved and I had me fat booty which was great. The bread with delicious. We started with an artichoke salad, which was really fresh and tasted amazing. The boyfriend and I shared the prime bone-in cowgirl, Mikey spicy rigatoni, and crispy potatoes. All I can say is WOW. The steak melted in your mouth. The rigatoni was cooked to absolute perfection. And the crispy potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft and delicious on the inside. The food was amazing. We also took an Arrabiata meatball to go since my boyfriend wanted to try it and it was beyond delicious. For dessert we had gelato and sorbet which was refreshing and great.
