Unfortunately, the restaurant was grossly overrated. Pros: [[HIGHLIGHT]]The service was excellent and the ambiance was lovely. Sebastian was exceptionally hospitable, kind, attentive, and professional.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Cons: The experience was highly overpriced given the food quality, descriptions, and social media hype. The bread was stale. The "BIG" meatball was just okay, definitely did not seem like half a pound, and was not worth $36. The bone marrow cappelletti actually made me nauseous while eating it, and my partner did not like it either. The truffle cacio e pepe is shown in the photo. Honestly, a 10-year-old could make a better pasta dish. There was no truffle flavor whatsoever. Someone came by with a grater and what was supposed to be white truffle, but there was not even one note of truffle taste, and trust me, I know truffle. [[HIGHLIGHT]]As for the entertainment, it began at 9:00 p.m. and ended at 9:17 p.m. The singer and band were good, but the performance was extremely brief and fairly basic.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The song selection was smooth rather than overly touristy, and I will give them credit for the sound design. The music was clear, but not overpowering, so you could still have a conversation.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall, we paid for the full experience, but it felt like an enormous waste of time, anticipation, and money.
We came to Sparrow for an anniversary dinner. We were very excited and were immediately greeted as we walked inside. We had reservations but they said that the table was not ready so they took us to the bar to wait in the meantime. The bartender was great and gave great recommendations. We made most of it and had a drink as we waited. After almost 20 minutes our table was not ready and mind you that was with a reservation. I went towards the hostess and she said that she would come once the table was ready. I will say this really deterred our experience and hindsight this almost felt like a tactic to purposely direct you to the bar and hold you there until you're eventually led to the table as I noted they did the same thing to the rest of the people that came in after us. We were about to leave and finally after about 40 minutes waiting, we were taken to our table. Our waiter was extremely nice and gave us great recommendations and went with the Spicy Rigatoni and got a bottle of wine. The food was phenomenal and we got lucky because that night there was a cool jazz singer/performer even though it was a night they were not supposed to be there. One thing to note is that they do not have a performer every night, so if that's something you want make sure to check the schedule. Overall the Jazz experience with the great quality food was a great way to spend our anniversary but I didn't appreciate the connivance of the establishment prior to being seated for dinner.
I have been to Sparrow a few times, but last night was lackluster. The atmosphere was perfect. The food was good. The service was non existent. The menu is a family style concept, however the portions were not that large to be shared . The waitress, Martha, did not check on us. She also didn't acknowledge a few requests that were made. She kept forgetting about us. When she brought out the birthday cake she just dropped the cake, barely said happy birthday and ran off. I raved about this place to my friends but last night was not a good representation.

To find out that Sparrow Italia from London landed to Wynwood was the best news; of course I had to go give it a try! We started our night with a Spanish Ribeira Sacra White Wine which for my liking it wasn't chilled enough so I asked the lady to please put it on ice & sprinkle salt for 20 mins. It was perfectly cold afterwards. For our appetizers: * The B.I.G. Meatball was made to perfection and eat bite was melting in your mouth. Shaved Pecorino on top was a cherry on top ! * Crispy Arancini was a little bland on the inside, black truffle was still missing a little. All in all, excellent crispiness on the outside but majorly lacking in flavor. * Truffle Burrata was definitely our favorite appetizer of the night! Sweet and salty combination plus truffle makes everything so much better! Must order! For our mains: * Bone Marrow Cappelletti is a must order! Wish it had a little more bone marrow to it but dish was to die for! * Linguini & Clams loved it! Needs a little more of the lemon kick it to but clams were perfectly cooked which is highly important because nobody wants an overcooked shell dish. * Grilled Brazino definitely melted with each bite. Must order! You don't even have to chew to say the least! For our desserts: * Assorted gelato/sorbet. For gelato we picked Pistachio (do not order - way too sweet barely pistachio flavor to it * a recommended pistachio gelato is definitely at Forte dei Marmi), Coffee (must order; if after dinner you're going elsewhere it will wake you up for sure!) & Coconut sorbet was to die for! Must order - reminded me of Phuket! * Sparrow Hazelnut Rocher MUST ORDER. Every single spoon was divine! If you're a chocolate lover; it is a must have! * Pistachio Tiramisu not impressed to say the least but then again their gelato lacks majorly! * Panna Cotta was infused with Coconut topped with toasted coconut and Pineapple. So refreshing and creamy at the same time. Must order! Our server Mario was the ultimate best and the entire staff! Hands down! Took a day trip to Miami on a random Monday because TikTok brought me here! It is such an aesthetically pleasing restaurant with food & vibes to match! I tried the big meatball & the rigatoni alla vodka paired with the flashy ways cocktail. Cocktail was solid, meatball was hefty, and rigatoni was house made to perfection. I will say it was a bit salty but very flavorful. They did have live music while I was there which really set the mood for my solo date. Overall, I would come back if I'm ever in the area !

Very middle-of-the-road for me. I dined here in November 2025 on a Sunday evening. For starters, the ambience is wonderful. The restaurant is very dimly lit and has a very romantic/sexy vibe. The "theme" is hip-hop so there was R&B/hip-hop music playing in the background which was great. Towards the end of the night, there was also a lounge singer and guitarist (or bassist, can't remember) and they performed some R&B classics. As for the food, it was less memorable than the vibes. The appetizers left much to be desired. I know this is more of an Italian fusion/steakhouse but Italian restaurants generally have very good appetizer options - this place did not. I believe there were two raw/crudo seafood options, there was a beef carpaccio option, and I think also an arancini. Where was the fried calamari option?! What about the fried zucchini?! I feel like any Italian restaurant worth their salt has to have one or the other if not both. Since there was no calamari or zucchini, I opted for the beef carpaccio, and honestly, it wasn't great. It was under salted, and the only real flavor profile was the truffle. Ask where the main dishes, there were two seafood pasta options. When we were seated, I was informed that the whole lobster option was unavailable, so I attempted to order the other seafood option, which was a lobster and shrimp or calamari pasta. (I cannot remember exactly which seafood was in the pasta dish.) After ordering the waiter came back and let me know that this dish was also unavailable. I wound up ordering the beef cheek pasta dish, which was OK. It's served on a plate with a thick layer of a melted sharp cheese. Not my favorite, but if you really like cheese and beef, try it. Unfortunately, I can't say that I would ever return.
Amazing dining experience at Sparrow Italia in Wynwood. From the ambiance to the service to the food, everything about Sparrow is a total vibe. Although it is an Italian Steakhouse, this trip we opted for all seafood, so a second visit is in store for the full steakhouse experience. All of the pastas are homemade and you can taste the difference from boxed premade pasta. The pasta sauce on the Lobster Linguine was absolutely delicious. It was like a spicy vodka sauce but better. The grilled octopus was cooked perfectly and paired with a red pepper puree and potatoes that we couldn't get enough of. It was fresh and smoky and not at all fishy. It was amazing. The prawns were seasoned and cooked perfectly just the same. The texture and taste did not disappoint on but and also, they were HUGE. Largest prawns I've ever seen/eaten. The Sparrow Chop is top 3 favorite salads of all time. It's an explosion of flavor, with pickled onions and crispy kale and crunchy pistachios; I took home the leftovers it was so good. Sweet, tart, fresh, honestly everything I look for in a salad. The drinks were also top tier. I had the "If I Ruled The World" and my friend had the Negroni. Both drinks were delicious and paired really well with our meal. For dessert we had the chocolate mousse, which was like a Ferrero Rocher ball with a delicious mousse center. I'm not a big dessert person and this was the perfect way to close out the experience. Art was a fantastic host and server. He made sure we were well informed on the items we ordered and catered to our every wish. The restaurant had a live performance by an R&B singer on Saturday evening too, just adding to the good vibes. 10/10 recommend Sparrow Italia to all lovers of Italian cuisine.
We came back a second time within a few weeks of our first visit we liked it so much, and we tried a couple more things. I still cannot recommend this restaurant enough it's fantastic. The new things we tried this time were the Wagyu carpaccio and the spicy rigatoni - both of which can be made gluten free and both of were delicious.

This is an update to my initial review of: Update: I went this past weekend after being a 5 star all these times that i have gone, i have to drop it down to 4. Everything in my original review stays the same except this 1) They have a summer menu where they took away the chicken parm, the wagyu filet presentation and the plate itself was better in the original menu, and the changes on the menu are ok. 2) The prices have continued to go up and the value is just not there anymore IMO - example - meatball was $42 now. I really do love this place but probably wouldnt come back until the summer menu is gone and then see what the prices are then. Original review - "New Italian Spot in Wynwood. They have valet upfront or try to find street parking or parking garage. Recommended to make reservations ahead of time. Staff was friendly and attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They also have a bar area to sit at.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have some live music at night.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Not sure if it's all nights. My favorite items on the menu so far are the meatball, spicy rigatoni ala vodka and the rocher dessert. Haven't tried everything on the menu yet. Steaks sorry far have been good as well. What a vibe. Sparrow is SEXY. It has a moody ambience that is far more sophisticated than Miami. They had a live band and the singer was awesome. The food was delicious. I had the prawns which were the size of lobster tails , we also shared a steak and Mushroom pasta. read more

Amazing food, great service, incredible ambiance. We sat in the lounge seating and got a cocktail (Femme Fatale) and a lemonade. We ordered the arancini as starters and they were delicious; they also brought us some delicious bread for the table. There was a reduced menu for the lounge seating, we got the chicken Parmesan pizza and the pepperoni pizza. The chicken Parmesan was delicious, and the hot honey on the pepperoni was delightful. My friend and I treated ourselves to a nice dinner to celebrate all of our recent accomplishments and so we decided to try Sparrow, knowing that it would be an expensive treat. It is beautiful inside and the staff is so on top of it. The vibe is dark and 90's hip hop with upscale aesthetic. There was a live singer there and it just made the space feel even more special. Top notch experience from start to finish at Sparrow. The interior was beautiful and had incredible music to set a great vibe. About an hour in they had an awesome R&B live band play that were great. Sparrow Italia is easily a 10/10 for both food and drinks -- everything we tried was absolutely delicious! I had the Lobster Pasta, which my friend loved and noted had a spicy kick. The Bone Marrow Pasta was my husband's favorite -- rich, unique, and full of flavor. The Eggplant Rollatini, Spinach, and Baked Spaghetti Squash were all perfectly prepared. For drinks, I had the "Can I Lick It" cocktail -- and wow, it was just as delicious and creative as the food. Highly recommend ordering it if you want something fun and flavorful. The dish that completely stole my heart was the Chicken Parmesan. I saw it come out to another table and couldn't resist ordering it to go. It ended up being my absolute favorite! It's like a chicken pizza (literal size) -- instead of a bread crust, they use chicken as the base with cheese layered all over. Genius and unforgettable. The vibe at Sparrow is just as incredible as the food. The setting is elegant and sexy with dim lighting, giving it a chic and upscale atmosphere. They also have live entertainment -- the night I went, a phenomenal singer performed 89's & 90's R&B, which made the night feel extra special. Even the bathrooms are thoughtfully designed: unisex, one-person stalls with their own sinks inside. Overall, Sparrow nails it -- amazing food, drinks, ambiance, and entertainment. I was excited to try Sparrow after hearing many great reviews. We did wait a little long for our table and to get sat but they offered us a dessert on the house so it was a nice gesture! For apps, we started with the eggplant rollatini, and ahi tuna tartare. For me, the eggplant lacked flavor, I only tasted toasted breadcrumbs, not my favorite plate. The ahi tuna tartare on the other hand was absolutely delicious. For my entree, I ordered the spicy vodka rigatoni pasta and it was so so good I brought the leftovers home (no good food left behind!) The restaurant was nice, elegant with live band but the music after the band was done was a bit loud & hard to listen to conversation. Our server was extremely attentive & menu knowledgeable. Very sexy, dark, romantic atmosphere! It was beautifully decorated. One of the best ambiance ive witnessed in Miami. We were sat right away by our wonderful hostesses. Our waiter was a little rude and pushy, basically saying we weren't ordering enough food. I didnt like his vibe. The singer was amazing, he played Drake songs and even old playbacks. I wish he sang a couple more songs because he was so good. but it was nice he took breaks so we could have table conversation. He was interactive and walked around. The bread service was awesome with tasty warm soft bread. From the moment we walked in we were greeted nicely and walked to our seats. We came with a party of 8 for a friend's birthday. The place itself is gorgeous, from the seats, to the chandeliers, everything about this place looks luxury. The waiters are on top of refilling drinks and the food would come out at perfect timing. We tried the Big meatball, the chopped salad, the bread they serve is so good. We had the chicken charm that looks like a pizza and 3-4 pasta dish's. Everything was so tasty, the only thing that made me laugh was they said the pasta dishes are family style...they definitely weren't the size for sharing with more than 2 people. Since we had so much food everything was enough for us to split. They brought a beautiful 3 different dessert plate and an ice structure with gelato inside. Every time I go here it truly gets better and better. I try something new each time and all of the pastas have blown me away. Another thing I was impressed by was the chocolate hazelnut dessert--coming from a girl who doesn't like sweets I LOVED it! The entertainment is always 10/10 as the singers make it a point to walk around the entire room and involve everyone who's interested. I cannot, CANNOT, express how AMAZING this place is. If I could give it six stars, I would. We went here for some amazing food and drinks, and trust that it did not disappoint. We came from Vegas and were pretty spoiled in Nevada without food. But this place lived up to everything it shows and represents. Their bartender carefully crafted our drinks and we were so happy with them. The service was outstanding and extremely accommodating and we got seated right next to the live performer who was amazing. The environment was dim but so lovely and lovely. Hands down one of the best new Italian restaurants to open in WYNWOOD this year! I've been here twice already within a month, and both visits were SLAMMIN. The ambiance and music is fire - with live a singer, vibey 90's hip hop music, and super sheek decor, it sets the perfect mood. Now lets get to the service it was top-notch, attentive, and friendly. This review is a bit late since I visited Sparrow Italia a couple of months ago, but the experience left such an impression that I haven't stopped thinking about it since. The venue is sleek, sexy, and dimly lit. The service was so spectacular that I felt like I was somewhere other than Miami and was shocked to learn our server was a native. The live music was so good that our minds were blown, and that's all before we tasted even a bite of food... We began our journey with cocktails. I had the FLASHY WAYS which was delicious and not too sweet. For our appetizers, we shared the CRISPY ARANCINI, and the SPARROW CHOP SALAD. Both were excellent, but the salad was so good it made me want to cry. I don't think I've ever had a salad that good in my entire life. Four our entrees, we shared the MIKEY'S SPICY RIGATONI ALLA VODKA and the A5 WAGYU MEATBALL PIZZA. Again, both were excellent. The sauce on the rigatoni was absolute perfection. For dessert, we ordered the SPARROW HAZELNUT ROCHER. When it arrived at our table I was very impressed with how pretty it looked, just like a giant Ferrero Rocher. Never did I imagine that the flavor would impress me as much as it did. I felt like I'd died and gone to heaven. I'm a big fan of Ferrero Rocher chocolates, but Sparrow has somehow managed to improve upon the original. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Sparrow Italia, and would give the restaurant 10 stars if I could. It was just that good. read more

The vibes were everything at this place. Very nice decor and ambiance. The menu options were plentiful and everything looked good to try. I wasn't necessarily blown away with the food overall but it wasn't bad. The truffle carpaccio was the highlight; so good! The staff was very nice and accommodating. We went with our two boys and they did the best they could. We ordered basic pizza for them and they also offered pasta; no kids menus and no high chairs. After 8pm or so it's 21 and over which is when live music started so we couldn't stay. Not sure if we would go back but if we do for sure without the kiddos. read more

Sparrow is worth the hype! I came here with a friend for girls night/celebrating my belated birthday and I was very pleasantly surprised with how delicious everything was. To start, we ordered Hypnotize Me, a mezcal-based drink that was smoky and had a beautiful presentation. It was so good I still think about it to this day. We also ordered the oysters, which had a nice presentation made with dry ice. For our meals we ordered the famous spicy rigatoni and the bone marrow cappelletti. Both plates were delicious! The bone marrow cappelletti was unique and, in my opinion, the star of the show. Stunning! Finally we finished our meal with the hazelnut rocher which was decadent in taste! Definitely a dessert worth sharing. The service was great and we loved the live music. I really enjoyed that the singer went table to table since ur back was turned to the stage. I highly recommend this place for a date night or girls night! read more
