    Upper Crust grilled cheese sandwich.

Back in Knoxville for a couple of days and knew I had to stop in for Happy Hour at Sparrow. I learned last week that they had added grilled cheese sandwiches to their menu, so I figured the Upper Crust would hit the spot. I was not wrong, the sandwich was amazing and Mandy suggested a couple of wines that were perfect. I can't wait for my next trip to try the Sweet Heat grilled cheese sandwich.

First time here and I enjoyed. They have few tables outside. Inside is so comfortable with big couches, tables and a bar. And this place is attached to cheese shop! I highly suggest their grilled cheese. I had "The Upper Crust" with hot bacon jam and it was mind blowing. We tried their white and red flights, Cotes du Rhone, Bourbon Barrel wine. They were all delicious. Don't miss their Happy Hour: (Tue-Sat) 3-6pm 1/2 price glasses of wine, $1 off beer. (Wed) All day 1/2 price bottles $45 and under.

A high end cheese shop and a cozy wine bar met and fell in love...and you will fall in love with this place once you try it!! Went for the first time today for a special wine and cheese tasting event and was shocked at the EXCELLENT variety, quality and presentation of the cheese and the wine. The happy hour prices are unbeatable (1/2 off bottles on Wednesdays, for example) plus other great specials. The owners say to check their website for more information. If members of your party aren't wine people, the shop offers beer and a few great bourbons. Also offered are special guest winery tasting events and grilled cheese sandwiches coming soon. I bought 5 cheeses to take home and could have bought 20 more because the selection is that good. Be sure to try the truffle Gouda and the herb Brie. The wine shop is tucked away from view in a little strip mall off Kingston Pike. I've driven passed this place a hundred times and never knew it was there!! So follow your GPS. It's close to Faith Promise church. The ambiance inside the wine bar is dark and super cozy with ample comfortable seating and interesting decor. Something you would normally find in a swanky downtown neighborhood. Looking forward to visiting Sparrow again soon.

This is a wonderful Speakeasy kind of ambiance. Wonderful food, service is spot on and the food is wonderful.

Great place for relaxing and trying great wine and cheese! Very cozy with great music and customer service! Better than other wine bars in Farragut!

The bar is situated in a strip mall-type situation in Farragut, so there is plenty of parking. There's a great outdoor patio out front as well. There are a few different rooms in the bar scattered with various activities- shuffleboard, darts, and golf video games, along with an extensive beer and alcohol list. Don't plan to stay on your diet here because I think there are about 3 things on the menu: pretzel bites, wings and pizza. We had the pizza and it was truly amazing. Fun, friendly, Cheers-kinda vibe. I'd come back.

It was fairly busy when I visited, and there was a line to get beer, which isn't a problem. I happen to see a friend of mine waiting in line to get a beer. I walked over to speak with him. We hadn't seen each other in probably five or six years. Another guy cut in line right in front of him before he could get his beer. Then, when it was my friends turn, the bartender (Josh) was less than friendly. I realize that they're just pouring beer, but the gentleman was decidedly unfriendly, he did not smile even once; he did not even indicate that he was ready to take an order in anyway by acknowledging us with a look or anything. Heck, he didn't even speak to us. Honestly, he was just rude & beyond unfriendly. I don't get it. If you do not like your job, get a new one. If you don't like pouring beer for people (which does seem like a super great job), get a different job. The fact that he would be there on what appeared to be a fairly busy night, which is good for the business, and be so unpleasant is beyond my comprehension. So, the beer selection is very eclectic, with something for everyone. It's super great that you can buy beer to go. The female bartender was awesome. I'm conflicted on what sort of review that I should give Admiral pub, because there were so many positive aspects to it, except Josh pretty much ruined the entire experience by his sour demeanor (although I adore sour beers) and persistent scowl.

I had the seafood Louie Salad. The seafood was AMAZING. The greasing at the bottom was too much. Start less so you don't drown the yumminess and let the customer order more if needed. My husband had the salad and tenderloin with frittata. Salad was a salad, nothing special. The tenderloin was well cooked. The tomato hollandaise was too subtle against the meat and the frittata. The first frittata was over done, dark brown on outside and dry on the inside. They brought us another, properly cooked one and it was delicious. My questions are: why serve an obviously unacceptable dish.... Did you hope we did not know our food? It is an insult to serve a subpar dish in a higher end restaurant. And second, we got an apology but no small comp. The food was obviously bad and we weren't returning good food. The serve staff and kitchen know they served us over cooked crap. It did not need to be a whole meal or a big gesture. This lack of customer care tells me a lot about how you value customers and repeat business.

We were lucky enough to grab a high-top right away! Our server was Autumn, and she was awesome! Great service from start to finish. Great flavor with just the right amount of spice. My advice: try it before reaching for the hot sauce. To me, it was absolutely perfect just the way it came! For my lunch entrée, I went with the Fried Clam Strips. They were lightly battered and fried, and while they were a little on the small side, they were really good! They also took my allergies seriously. Only issues were the "poached" eggs on one dish were very soft boiled and the other dish was halfway to soft boiled. No runny yolk on either dish. The steak on the Chesapeake was excellent and cooked perfect. The Benedict Crab didn't taste as fresh as we'd expected and it was pretty cold actually. Still, overall very good and we'll be back. Just wish the eggs were cooked correctly and the crab cakes were hot and tasted a bit fresher. The free birthday dessert and card were wonderful touches and the breakfast "bread" was so lovely. We've had a very poor experience at the downtown location and this one was much better. Better ambience, better service, better staff.

It's one of my favorite cuisines, so I was excited to try this place after finding it on Yelp. It was my last night in town on a work trip, and I finally had a little time to unwind on my own before heading home the next day. As soon as I walked in, I could tell from the atmosphere that I had found the right spot. I sat at the bar and was greeted almost immediately by the bartender (Laura M.), who was friendly and attentive throughout. The couple of other patrons nearby were also welcoming. At this point, I'm starting to think that might just be a Knoxville thing. This was my third trip to the city, I think, and I've had a similar experience each time. I ordered the Scotch egg with blueberry compote and the cottage pie with a side of onion gravy. I would have liked a little more sausage on the Scotch egg, but that is about the only critique I can come up with. Everything was hot, fresh, and full of flavor, and both are dishes I would absolutely order again. I also tried a couple of local beers: a PB&J sour from XUL Beer Company that somehow really did taste like drinking a PB&J sandwich, and the Dr. Robot Blackberry Lemon Sour from Monday Night Brewing. Both were excellent. Overall, this was a great experience, and I'll definitely be looking for a reason to come back to Knoxville just so I can eat here again.

We waited for group to order ahead of us and then stoped up to side of bar to order. After order sat down at a high top table. They had a few high tops and lower tables in sitting area. There are a few TVs and a small stage. The music was a little loud but we were still able to have a conversation. The start of the food were Rueben balls. Five came out for the order with mustard and thousand island. These were good but could have been a little warmer. I got the fish and chips. It came with tartar sauce and a small Cole slaw. The fish was a single piece that was about two inches thick and about six inches long. It was very flaky and very well cooked. Plenty of chips came with the order. They were well seasoned. The star of the meal was my wife's order of Bangers and Mash. The Bangers were good but the mashed potatoes with gravy and onions were perfect. If I were ordering again that's what I would get. If you are okay with minimal table service and slightly loud music, then I would definitely give it a shot.
