Ket was absolutely lovely to work with. She did an amazing job at our perfect, pink,…read moreantique-inspired wedding. Ket made me feel completely at ease and truly took the time to explain things to me and understand our vision. As an anxious bride, I really appreciated our several planning calls, tablescape mockup, her virtual CAD modeling, and that she even invited me to go to the floral wholesaler with her to select our roses. I also loved being able to follow the behind-the-scenes process of her creating the arrangements on Instagram. Ket's positive attitude, calming words, and kind smile during even the crazy parts of our wedding day truly touched me. Despite rain, Ket and her team set up our arbor through the storm and in record time (and with a baby on her back). She truly is a super woman! Our other vendors commented that they'd never seen anyone put up an arbor so fast and beautifully. Everything turned out even more beautiful than we could have hoped for or dreamed of! Ket was able to donate our roses to a nursing home after our wedding which was the sweetest touch. We appreciated Ket's commitment to sustainable practices. Ket is incredibly kind, helpful, patient, talented, and passionate. We would recommend One Last Avocado Floral Design to all of our friends.

I live locally to Grey Peony so was glad to find someone local to preserve my bridal bouquet and…read moremaid of honor bouquet. I reached out before purchasing to discuss preservation and said that I had a ribbon on the bridal bouquet with a charm that had a picture of my deceased father that I would want attached to the preserved bouquet in the shadow box. The conversation is well documented that I said I had a sentimental charm on the bridal bouquet ribbon that was important to me and would want attached to the preserved bouquet. I had two bouquets preserved - bridal to be done in a shadow box and maid of honor to be loose. I was told to keep the bouquets in water and drop them off to Grey Peony and KEEP HYDRATED. To keep them hydrated, I kept them in the vases that were used to display the flowers during the reception at the wedding. When I was sent a photo of the finished bridal bouquet in the shadow box, the charm (of my deceased father) was missing. I reached out to Grey Peony (who KNEW about the charm before the bouquet was dropped off) and Grey Peony said maybe my mother lost it when she dropped off the flowers!!! Grey Peony never apologized or offered to replace the charm and did not seem concerned about the loss of the charm. I said can I order a replacement and ship to Grey Peony and have them attach and they agreed. However, NO apology or offer to do anything on Grey Peony's part other than accusing my mother of losing the charm. (and I don't have the photos back from the photographer to show the charm was there but I did tell Grey Peony about it before dropping the bouquet off for preservation). Replacement charm (I ordered and I paid for) was attached to the preserved bridal bouquet after it shipped and then I arranged to pick up the bouquets. My daughter's maid of honor bouquet was in a PAPER BAG when I picked up from the cabinet where Grey Peony puts pickup orders for customers! I had dropped off both bouquets in nice vases that were not returned. My daughter's bouquet was also tied with NOT the ribbon that was used at the wedding and this was not explained or shown to me in the preview photos sent to me by Grey Peony. I can't imagine WHY put a sentimental wedding bouquet in a PAPER BAG when you have a nice vase and WHY not return my two vases. Extremely poor presentation of the loose dried maid of honor bouquet. I reached out to Grey Peony and they found the vases and I went back to get them. (again, I had to take the initiative to ask that MY vases be returned to ME.) The bouquet looks MUCH NICER in MY VASE. I question why it wasn't given back t me in MY VASE in the first place. Really, a PAPER BAG?? Terrible presentation. Shocked that Grey Peony thought that was acceptable. I didn't want to return the loose preserved maid of honor bouquet to my daughter in a paper bag! I questioned why the ribbon was changed and Grey Peony said the other ribbon worked better and they'd mail me the original ribbon from my wedding. (Again, I had to ask --- apparently sentimental value is lost on Grey Peony) Wedding flowers are highly sentimental and I feel like that was lost on Grey Peony. I am very disappointed that my charm of my deceased father was lost and I never got an apology. I know in my heart that my mother didn't lose it since the flowers were kept in a vase and delivered in a vase to Grey Peony. And Grey Peony KNEW about the charm but didn't say it was missing until I saw the proof of the bridal bouquet in the shadow box without it. I'm happy with the preservation but I don't feel that Grey Peony cared about the sentimental meaning behind my bouquets or wedding. (I had a destination wedding out of state and Grey Peony was not the florist for the wedding itself). I'm big on presentation and customer service and that was lacking. Weddings are highly sentimental and that seems to be lost on Grey Peony. Photos attached of both bouquets fresh in the vases, bridal bouquet proof preserved with no charm, maid of honor bouquet preserved returned in paper bag, and maid of honor bouquet after I got my vase back. FYI Grey Peony did apologize - AFTER I contacted them to tell them my sentiments and after I said I would be leaving an honest review. I should have gotten an apology about the lost charm immediately - not weeks later after I initiated and paid for a replacement. No excuse for presentation in a paper bag and not returning my vases.
