Tl;dr: Nicoll is AMAZING and clearly knows what she's doing when it comes to professionally…read moreorganizing your home! Read on below if you want more details about the whole process. So...here's the thing about me. I love stuff. I love having a variety of stuff. I love having colorful pens, cute bags, books...you name it, and I probably started collecting some of it at some point. I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with wanting to have and own those things. But what I did notice was that the sheer amount of that stuff was really starting to stress me out. Things didn't have a place. My closet and dresser and drawers were stuffed to the brim. I found it difficult to enjoy these fun things I owned because they were mixed in with other things I didn't enjoy or use anymore. I found that I was hanging onto so many items for years "just in case," and the case would never arrive. I'd tried for years with things like the minimalist challenge and reading self help books to try and get rid of things, but I couldn't seem to make a dent. That's where Nicoll came in. My partner helped me find Nicoll on Yelp and connected the two of us together. We had an introductory phone call where she asked me some questions, and I shared my frustrations with getting rid of things and really needing help with it. We ended up making an appointment for a week later where she showed up with her toolkit and bag of bags for donations. We did a little walk around and I shared areas of stress for me and what I wanted out of the space, which was to know where everything was and to know what I owned. After the intro assessment we dove right in. In the next few hours we: ⁃ Took EVERYTHING out of my closet and purged SO much of it. We went piece by piece and she helped ask clarifying questions (when did I last wear it? Do I like it?) and could usually pick up on if I actually liked something. I noticed patterns of how I reacted when I loved something vs when I wasn't sure or was sort of convincing myself. This is an exercise I tried doing before on my own, but when there's someone standing there, who you paid to help you, who's not attached to your stuff....let me tell you, it changes the game. I found myself deciding to donate (and sometimes sell) what must have been at least a third of my closet (clothes, hats, bags, electronics, etc). ⁃ She busted out her label maker and helped organize and label shelves in categories that made sense. Now I know where everything is! ⁃ She packed up all the items I decided to donate into bags and packed them into her car. It ended up being about 15 bags of things which was absolutely wild to me. Nicoll taking these bags out of my house was a game changer, because there have been many times I've decided to donate items that just end up sitting there in bags for months! I noticed that night going to bed that my room felt emptier, in a really good way. It felt calmer, cleaner, and like I could breathe a bit easier. Some people might read this and think that they shouldn't have to hire someone to help them organize. I know for myself that I hit a wall when it came to organizing on my own, and I needed to ask for help. I'm so glad I did, because it changed my life and my relationship with "stuff." I'm confident that Nicoll will be able to help you if you need it, and I cannot recommend her enough!

She helped me get straight to work purging, organized my awkward old-house spaces, and packed up all my donations and e-waste when she left leaving the house feeling so free. Highly recommend! Wish I would have done this sooner, and will hire again for maintenance.

Life-changing! That's the only way to describe my experience working with Vanessa…read more I was completely overwhelmed after a big move, staring at what felt like a mountain of stuff I had accumulated over the past 10 years. I didn't know where to begin - and that's when a Yelp search brought me to Talk Tidy to Me. From the moment Vanessa walked in at our initial consultation, she brought a calm, focused energy, and was already suggesting so many great ideas to better optimize the space. Vansssa helped me not only organize my space but completely reset my life. Her ability to assess, prioritize, and find practical solutions blew me away - as well as her Mary Poppins bag of organizing supplies. She also didn't just rearrange my belongings -- she helped me rethink my relationship to them. Now, my home feels peaceful, functional, and light -- like I have half the stuff I did before. It's wild how much stress I was carrying about my environment without even realizing it. Thanks to Vanessa, that stress is gone. I actually enjoy being home again. Vanessa is one of the most genuine and trustworthy people I've ever worked with. She was not only incredibly professional but also an absolute joy to have around. Having a stranger dig through tons of personal belongings can be worrisome, but Vanessa will approach the task professionally and without judgment. I only wish I had done this sooner. If you're on the fence, don't wait. One of the best decisions I've made!

After six sessions he's not only transformed my space but my relationship to it: my home is no longer a source of stress and chaos, but a sanctuary where I can fully unwind. I can now maintain a baseline of organization with ease, without needing long weekend cleaning sessions. I know where everything is and don't need to waste time searching for my things. I never thought I could be this type of person. What's special about Keith is that he doesn't just organize, he teaches you the skills required for maintaining an organized home over the long term, tailored to you. He's trained with Marie Kondo and specializes in organizing for ADHD. He asks excellent questions in the decluttering process and has brilliant strategies for organization--I don't have ADHD but find that his methods work very well for my busy pace of life. I've developed a better understanding of why disorganization happens and how to address them and create systems as needed. All that to say, working with Keith is one of the best investments I've ever made. He's also a lovely person to spend an afternoon with, and always communicative, warm, and incredibly punctual. I'm so grateful to him and could not recommend his services more.
