Absolutely terrible experience. I would not recommend this place to anyone. if i could give 0 stars i would. I walked into this establishment feeling completely fine and left in significant pain. The experience was honestly shocking from start to finish. The woman who provided my service barely spoke to me or communicated with me at all, which made the entire experience feel extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional. There was no effort to check in with me, make sure I was comfortable, or ask how the pressure felt. What makes this even more frustrating is that I was charged a significant amount of money for a service that was NOT what was advertised on the website. I specifically booked based on the description of the massage and what was supposed to be included, and what I received did not match what I paid for. If I'm paying that much money, I expect to actually receive the service that was advertised. I went in expecting to leave feeling relaxed and taken care of. Instead, I left sore, uncomfortable, and in so much pain that I had to book another appointment somewhere else just to get proper care for the pain this experience left me with. That alone says everything about how dissatisfied I am. I genuinely regret spending my money here. The lack of communication, the quality of the service, the fact that I did not receive what was advertised, and the pain I was left in made this one of the worst experiences I've had at a massage establishment. I am extremely disappointed and would like a full refund. I paid for a specific service and did not receive what I was promised. I hope management takes this seriously because customers should not have to pay premium prices, receive something completely different from what was advertised, and then leave feeling worse than when they arrived. This is the second time I have been here and would say it feels very luxurious! From the moment I walked in, I felt like I was in a fancy spa! The decor is beautiful!! I am plus size (5'7 240lbs) and this place was plus size friendly. When you make the appointment, they ask for your robe size and shoe size. Those will be located in your locker when you get walked back. They will give you a warm towel to wash your hands as you walk and it feels lovely! The lockers are easy to use. There are two toilets and a shower. This area is fairly small, however I never ran into anyone. You can undress as much (or as little) as you want. I get rid of everything but my underwear. Then you will go to the holding area. It's a very beautiful and relaxing area. There is water (flat and sparking) and some small snacks. Your provider will come get you from that room. Both times I have been here, my providers (male and female) have been very polite, friendly and respectful. The massage was wonderful! I felt amazing afterwards!! When you are done, they bring you back to The holding area and you can stay there as long as you like. The only reason I took a star off is because I had received a birthday promotion email and this was not automatically taken off at the desk. I didn't notice until I got to my car. Only thing that hurts about this spa, it thay it isn't feasible to go every single dang day. It's clean, friendly, professional. Mia (my first facial) and Jen (my massage) were incredible. I got the works from a package held in December and added on a both tub experience. I would say, the only bummer was the bath. I was the most excited to sit and relax there for 20 minutes, and an additional $50 (whoa) only to find a lukewarm tub with cold water). The other aspects made up for it. ok I'm ready to share my fabulous experience I had here before I literally almost died after leaving... this was my first full spa day experience and it did not disappoint. vibes? immaculate. so calming and a much needed detox from the world. all the staff were so inviting and generous. I came for my bday and they gave me those really expensive gummies, like ok pop off. We did the ultimate reset package with the lunch add-on (cafe zupas). Started with the massage and body wrap... this massage was the best massage I've ever had. I left feeling like a feather and blissed out. Cut to an hour later when I got into a car accident that left me practically immobile for 3 months - I swear my injuries would have been more drastic if I hadn't been so relaxed from this massage. I've gotten a handful of hydrafacials but I LOVED this one. from the products to the whole process - A1. I honestly don't care for body wraps, but I am here for the scalp and foot massage that came with it. Will say tho my body was butter soft after the wrap. I have been using Woodhouse since they opened and I have enjoyed every experience I have had here. I tend to go in for massages and you feel so pampered from the minute you check in to the time you checkout. You get access to a locker room with your name plate to your designated locker to leave your items. They have showers and private restrooms if you feel more comfortable changing alone. They have a great vanity with all the beauty tools you need to get ready after your experiences are done. I recommend arriving at least 30 minutes in advance so you have time to change and spend time in their lounge. Very zen and you get a spot to relax before your scheduled experience. They offer drinks to enjoy and I always try to bring a book to read and relax before and after if I have time. Your assigned person will come in and get you when they are ready. I just recently went in for my first event pre-natal massage (they call it mellow mama) and I tell you such a good experience! They have pillows so you can enjoy the massage on your belly and on your back if you are up to it. Afterwards, the masseuse brought me water and shows me back to the lounge area. If you have time enjoy some snacks too if you want to continue chilling out. After I was done, I went back to the front to checkout. It was an easy and painless process. I had never heard of this place until Sunday. I've been to day spas in the past but this one seriously tops them all. What a luxurious space as soon as you walk in. I loved their welcome chalk board and their friendly faces of course. Immediately we were given a tour of the space and shown to our respective locker rooms for changing. Which I absolutely love getting completely undressed to lounge in a perfectly comfy and plush robe! We were then taken to the "quiet room" where we sipped on tea, had a few snacks and given a warm neck wrap. Did I mention this place is like infused with essential oils everywhere? It smelled amazing. My 2 hour massage was heaven. The therapist was very attentive, respectful and listened to my body. I left feeling absolutely refreshed! That head massage!!!! The best feeling I've ever felt! I then had an 80 minute pedicure that was completely renewing. I loved every single minute I spent in this place. If it wasn't so dang expensive, I would for sure frequent here more often. I think the massage and pedi after tip came to about $360. It's definitely a once a year type thing!! Loved my experience here. I got the signature facial and the products used and everything they did made my skin look radiant afterwards. My service lady also gave me good recommendations for how to treat things like sun spots and minor lines on my skin. This facial included a nice massage for my neck and shoulder area which felt amazing. I didn't want the experience to end. I received strawberry infused water in the beginning and there were complimentary snacks. The changing room was clean and so were the facilities. I've been here three times and have had varying experiences. My first experience was more of a 4 star. The spa is clean, quiet, and oozes "relax". You get checked in, shown to your locker with your name on it, and get fitted for a robe and slippers. The chocolate they give as well is delicious. My first service was a massage which was A Ok. I am used to deeper pressure and my therapist didn't really want to spend more time on my upper back and shoulders like I had asked. My second time here was for a pedicure, and this was great. My pedicurist was very friendly, listened to my concerns regarding my awful ingrown toenails, was gentle, and did a great job with the polish. She was friendly and delightful to talk with. I would give this one experience 4 stars. My third experience was awful and what cemented me never returning. I went for a manicure and had asked for the same nail technician who had done my toes previously. SHE WAS GREAT! No complaints about her at all, she did a great job with my nails and was again fun to chat with. What ruined my experience was 4 workers who were doing each others nails on the other end of the nail room. Throughout my service, they sat and gossiped about boys, sex, family issues, their boss, working at Woodhouse, and all kinds of other things that I felt I as a customer should not be hearing. My nail technician ignored them and kept the conversation going with me, but I wont go back because I do not want to chance having these ladies work with me. I do want to point out that I mentioned this behavior to the manager who was quick to call back and apologize. She gave me a credit to use at the spa again, so I was impressed by how they dealt with it, but I still was appalled at how those 4 workers acted around a customer. My boss gave me a lovely gift card to this place. I cant use it there without registering MY credit card or debit card. So for those who dont have a credit card makes the gift card useless. They wont allow you to book without credit card Info. They need to make it where you can enter the gift card I for as payment. They need to tell the who purchase it that the receiving party cant use it without entering their personal credit card info to book an appointment. I would never purchase a gift and give to some o e that require they put in their credit card info. THIS IS A GIFT! I wonder how many folks have unused gift cards because if this policy. My first professional massage, and it was not too shabby. It was actually a couple's massage, and celebrating an anniversary, which they cutely had displayed on a chalkboard as we walked in. The entrance is filled with therapeutic oils, bath bombs, robes, and other relaxation wares. After changing into our gowns from a well-cleaned locker/bath/shower room, we were led into a quiet, dim-lit massage room. The tables are heated for your comfort, and I have to say it was a very tranquil experience. Again, I have nothing to relate it to, but the masseuses were pleasant, friendly, and ready to accommodate special concerns. Mine started at my head, moved to my neck and shoulders, down to my legs, and finished with my back, arms and hands. After, I was informed on which areas were particularly stressed or tight. We did the Swedish massage, but there were others to choose from. And while it was a little pricier than one might hope, I still feel it was worth it for a special occasion. We all could benefit from the occasional massage, I think, and Woodhouse definitely was a solid choice for my first time. read more

Just amazing. Made an appointment when i was in town for business on my birthday. I was greeted when i walked in with a sign wishing me a Happy Birthday. It was a freezing day in December but as soon as I walked in I was in a comfortable and warm place. It was amazing. After being given a quick tour and changing into my robe i was brought to a ridiculously comfortable waiting area. I was given a mini cupcake for my bday and offered the most delicious hot chocolate while i waited. There is also a selection of teas and infused waters. They also give you a warm neck pillow. It was the perfect touch on such a cold day. It was such a comfortable place. The pedicure chairs are like 1 big unit with the bowl of water located under the seat and then they slide you back. It was really cool. I have no complaints. They had a ton of colors to choose from and it was very relaxing. After my pedicure i had a massage. It was wonderful. I was so comfortable i felt myself dozing off. At check out i was given a bday goodie bag with spa products. It was a much needed relaxing experience. The customer service here is top notch. I have been going to the Woodhouse Spa for about 4 years now and I love it. The customer service I get when I walk in till I leave is top notch. Usually get a massage and each masseuse I have ever had had been exceptional. Alway listening to my needs and wants, I don't like hard pressure. I like the option to shower after and the lockers to have so that I am ready for the massage right away. The chocolate blueberries are always a wonderful treat. I do miss the heating wrap you get in the waiting area but due to Covid (ugh- wrecks everything) I understand a few changes had to be made. The drink and snack options are always great. Nope! As far as I'm concerned they have a customer for life. Last note it is a little bit more expensive but just like a fancy meal you are also paying for the experience. My daughter and I had a duet deep tissue massage for her birthday. The locker rooms were clean and nice but we didn't have lockers set up for us when we got there. I think they just forgot but Summer was sweet and made the signs quickly and got us our robes sandals lockers and treats. My daughters had a happy birthday note on it, cute and thoughtful. The "hub" aka lounge was nice with refreshing drinks tea and treats. They should consider new lounge chairs, they were sort of beat up and didn't match the relaxing vibe. Bought a spa package for my daughter for Christmas. Thought it was a great idea. My wife told me I purchased the wrong one so I went back in 15 minutes later to correct the issue. Turns out they actually sold me a gift card. They said "Sorry, can't return gift cards, everyone knows it's a universal policy that you can't return gift cards." First, I didn't ask for a gift card, I asked for a Spa Package and I never knew it is a universal policy that you can't return gift cards. I am shocked, I guess I know now. Now I'm out $175 not to mention they were condescending and made me feel like a dummy. Horrible feeing, horrible way to treat a customer when you sold them something they did not want or use. Don't care how good they are, clearly customer service is less important than making a buck. Apparently bah humbug is the Christmas motto once they get your cash. Boooo! I chose the Calming Retreat (110 minute) with an aromatherapy enhancement to celebrate hitting my ten year sober anniversary this past week. Given the description of the service, I knew it would be a perfect reward for myself. Travis is phenomenal. His soft voice and calm presence are perfect for this experience. Every movement was done with incredible skill. He worked on some pretty tense areas in my shoulders, so I am a little sore today. However, that is to be expected. One of the knots he focused on has been a problem area for me for years, and no other therapist has been able to truly alleviate the issue the way he has! She is the best, I had an incredible manicure. Very detailed. The only problem was that I was expecting at least some kind of lotion and hand massage. The prices are high for what you are getting, just a basic manicure with gel application. They also charge extra to have gel polish removed if you didn't have it put on there. My sisters and I visited this spa a few months ago and each had different experiences. We all agreed the ambience is certainly very nice, a very beautiful interior indeed. We changed into robes in the women's locker room first, where you have personal lockers for you belongings. Then we went out into the lounge room, a quiet room with couches and chairs. They had already prepared tea for my sisters, and a glass of champagne for me. There were also snacks available - my sister did comment that it was a bit strange to see junkfood type snacks at a Spa that is supposed to be promoting health and wellness. For sure some of the snacks would cause a breakout for some people. I've been to see many massage therapists throughout Minneapolis, whereas this was the first time for my sisters to experience a massage. Maybe it's just because I usually get massages in Minneapolis, but most therapists in Minneapolis are really young and pretty, whereas at Woodhouse, the therapists were on the older side, stocky, and didn't have the same young enthusiastic personalities I'm used to. Woodhouse therapists were much older, more matter of fact, clinical, and not very welcoming or energetic. The deep tissue massage was pretty bad. The therapist moved too quickly, like a robot, from one step to the next, and then the pressure was either too strong and painful, or too soft and felt nothing. I tried to help by verbalizing what I preferred, but still she just didn't get it. It definitely felt very robotic and like she was working at an assembly line factory on my body, if that makes any sense. I mean, the program they have in theory seems great, but the execution sucked. Out of the three of us, only one of us enjoyed our massage. So, it may just depend on which therapist you get. Supposedly these therapists have had 15+ years of experience....but, maybe some of them need to go back to school and learn better techniques because my experience sucked. You can get much more affordable pricing in the Minneapolis area with much better massages, so definitely shop around. I don't plan on coming back to this particular Spa and will continue to hunt for the best Spa in Minneapolis where my sisters and I can go and have better massage experiences. read more

My mon and I got a deep tissue massage here. The massage itself was great! The salon wasn't as fancy as I thought it would have been for the price. They don't give you champagne anymore (we brought our own as a coworker told me they don't anymore) and they also don't give you the lavender heated shoulder bags.
