This is very good pizza. I lived in the North End for 12 years and my favorite pizza there was from Ernesto's. I'm always on the quest for pizza that's similar. The crust on the pizza I ordered from Spaziano's was excellent. It seems like a lot of the other pizza places around here use a Greek crust which isn't my favorite. The only thing I wasn't crazy about was that the eggplant that they put on the pizza I ordered was just plain eggplant and it didn't seem fully cooked. I thought it was going to be breaded like the way it usually is when it's in eggplant parmigiana or in an eggplant sub. I might request breaded eggplant on a pizza next time. I definitely recommend Spaziano's pizza, though, and I look forward to trying more from the menu there! read more

I used to wholeheartedly believe that there was no such thing as "bad" pizza -- that even a bad pizza was good enough because it's still pizza. After eating here, there is indeed bad pizza. It was the worse pizza I ever had. The pizza dough was the frozen type, no reasonable effort for the dough or crust to be good. The sauce was from a jar or can, and was over seasoned with dry Italian seasoning. The cheese felt like the type you get on an Ellio's pizza -- it melted in shreds. Bland and flavorless. Or maybe just overpowered so bad by the Italian seasoning. I wouldn't ever order from here ever again and I think this place should be embarrassed that this is the pizza product they put out. I genuinely don't know how they have repeat customers when there are so many other pizza places that care about the taste, quality, and presentation of their pizza. The Ellio's I compared earlier would probably be a better choice than here. read more

Got a cheese pizza delivered via DoorDash for lunch today. On my hunt to find any decent pizza in Merrimack Valley, Spazianos was good! I am very picky when it comes to pizza and this was cooked nicely. Good sauce nice flavor, I like the hint of oregano; enough to flavor the pizza and not overpower. Bottom was nicely cooked and the crust had a little crunch to it. Not enough crunch but it was there. Cheese was also good, cooked nicely stayed together and the thin crust I got had a good thickness! Was it super thin? No. It's on the verge of not being thin crust but it was fine. Years from now when you're reading this review, you remember that this was COVID19 time... Anyway... since this all started, my husband and I decided to order our once a week to A. Support the local economy and B. Keep me from going insane by having to do everything I'm having to do PLUS cook dinner nightly. Ok... so on what planet is a large marg pizza $29+?! I ordered anyway because, well, maybe it's gigantic and we would have leftovers for tomorrow?? Nope. Standard size large pizza. I opened the box and just couldn't believe how little cheese there was!! Not to mention the burned basil!! The tiny bit of cheese on the pizza was delicious by itself, but the sauce is so overpowering and the cheese slices were so thin, you can't even taste it on the pizza. The dough (thin crust) is also very tough. I'm usually a half-a-pizza kind of girl (don't judge me), but honestly, by my second slice, my jaw was too tired to continue. No, I'm not kidding! Now let's face it. Even bad pizza is still good. And like I said, the cheese was definitely yummy. The chicken tenders were actually pretty good too. Nothing overly special about them, but they were cooked well, were juicy, and were still warm when they arrived. If I were to order from here again, I would definitely get the tenders. I just have a hard time accepting the fact that a standard size large thin crust pizza with burnt basil and see-through mozzarella slices is $30!!! read more

I saw the ad for Spaizano and decided to order it. The delivery took a little bit longer than quoted, but it isn't exactly a deal breaker. So the food came, and I tipped the driver as they were pleasant. I got a cheeseburger, and it was good. The bun was soft, and the meat tasted good. Everything was fresh, and then I got to the fries. In all of history, I have never really got extremely hot fries, but to be honest, they were seasoned fries, and they were mid. They really didn't taste spicy at all. I noticed they had a sign for fried dough outside. So I stopped in and asked if they could make me a fried dough pizza. They had no idea what it was, but since they had the ingredients they were willing to give it a try. Came out great, and they charged $5. I really hope they add it to the menu permanently, or at least make for those who ask. For those who are curious: fry the dough the same way you do for the sweet version, except spread pizza sauce over the top and then generously add Parmesan cheese on top. read more

I've been reluctant to come back here after finding out that Spaziano's has changed owners. I went in a few weeks ago, and the owner assured me that the same quality and love went into the food as before. Boy, were they wrong. I ordered a chicken spaziano. Before you got nice fresh hand breaded chicken cutlets, over a nice big bed of fresh arugula spring mix, with a liberal amount of fresh mozzarella slices, and fresh slices of roma tomato's. This is a loaded sandwich and fresh mozzarella is expensive, which hence the $15. But when I received this it was chicken patties, the lettuce was so little, missing underneath the chicken. In the foot long subs it was three slices of fresh mozzarella cut in half. THREE. Not to mention they switched to the cheaper heirloom tomatos. I don't have a problem eating a low quality meal every once in a while, but the price has to reflect with the quality. Spaziano's use to be the place that you could rely on to use high quality ingredients, made with love, and you get what you pay for. But not anymore. Hire back some of the older employees to show you how to make a proper sandwich again, or dramatically decrease your prices to reflect the quality. read more

This is my new go to place when I'm in the area. Homemade pita bread and homemade pizza crust are the two things that got me in the door, both of which blew me away. I also had the Greek salad - which may be the best I've ever had? I've been thinking about it since I ate it which is definitely a first for me when it comes to salad. The french fries has coarse salt on them which was a surprise but good, and the onion rings had a thick breading and came with a delicious dipping sauce. This is probably my favorite place to eat when I am here in Haverhill! I was doing a road trip with my friend Diane from Lynn and we happen to stop in because we need to get a soda but then we met The owners Rich and Rosa who gave us a wonderful history of how the got started in pizza making . Then we sample many items on the menu such as the mozzarella stick pomodora Sauce and I was very impressed. On my initial glance I noticed the place wasn't too busy but the told me because they do cater and deliveries however I still made an order of cheese pizza. The cheese pizza was a thin crust with light cheese not oily and very toasted and delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed the homemade sauce! Spaziano's was the first place I ordered from when I first moved to Haverhill. Thanks to the menu I had in the mail I was able to order in my first night after moving. I was thoroughly impressed with the sweet marinara sauce. The size of the slices! I then ordered a steak and cheese and it was huge! And so cheesy (without asking for extra cheese which I usually do). I've heard people say they're pricey but they just don't value good quality, fast and reliable service. Their deliverers are always pleasant! This spot has fed our family several times and we'll miss Spaziano's food and staff now that we're moving out of state. We moved to North Andover a little over a year ago and were quite dismayed at the pizza choices. I was sulking last weekend as my soul was in desperate need of an artisanal Italian delight. I was ready to cave and order Chinese from a local favorite, but I took to Yelp for one last desperate plea to find a decent pie. Spaziano's came up as the top choice in the area. The photos are exquisite in their saucy and cholesterol-elevating glory. I knew this was the one... love at first sight. Unfortunately when I called I was told that my house was out of the delivery zone. Life flashed before my eyes, but then I picked myself up and decided to just drive myself there. It is only 20 minutes away, and 20 minutes should never stand between a gal and her Italian love affair. I piled in the car with my trusty sidekicks by my side. We drove along our merry, hungry way and eventually arrived at the promised land. We were greeted by some of the friendliest guys you'll ever meet and immediately ordered the "Miss Piggy" pizza and a glorious sausage and ricotta number as well. Everything is so fresh. Ordered through DoorDash-- My order consisted of a chicken cutlet sub, a steak bomb and 2 orders of fries. The fries were very nicely cooked but extremely oversalted, felt like the whole shaker busted open over them. The sub was toasted well, the chicken was crisp and juicy and the tomatoes were fresh. The food was well made and we'll put together, honestly I would give a five star if it wasn't for the salt. Portion size was perfect for a dinner and lunch the next day. This used to be our favorite pizza locally. Under new ownership and it's poor in comparison. Flavors are not great. Pizza was soggy and no flavor. It's definitely not Italian anymore. The sauce has a funny taste. Sandwiches reminded me of the packaged ones you get at the air port. Soggy and not fresh. Tried Spaziano's Pizzeria tonight. So glad we did. My wife doesn't care for sweet sauce but really enjoys thin crust. So we ordered a large thin crust pizza with sausage, pepperoni, peppers and onions. It was beyond delicious, you might even say it was exquisite. It was plenty for two. Curiosity got the better of me so I ordered a small plain old cheese pizza with the sweet sauce on thin crust. T was outstanding. Sauce was sweet but not too sweet, sweet perfection with just enough cheese. Clearly we have found a new pizza joint and we are full yet looking forward to our next pie. I forgot to mention that the onions and peppers were diced, not sliced. I believe this attention to detail is one of the things that set this place apart from the herd. We have ordered from this place many times but the food has gotten worse. There was one time where the food was perfect and I called them to let them know how we felt. Since then its been terrible. Pizza is almost always overcooked, too much semolina on the bottom, meatballs are typical commercial awful meatballs, almost allways there is a mistake with the order. We have even asked to have pizza cooked lightly and less semolina and it never comes that way. Its hard to find good pizza in Haverhill. If this place just listened a little more and paid attn to the customer it could be a really good place. Plus the prices do not equal the quality. read more
