    After surgery
    Jordan N.

It was a smooth process and they answered every question I had along with a care packet on how to take care of her in the healing process! I was super worried getting my 4 yr old dog fixed but they took great care of my baby girl and she healed up perfectly!

    The clinic

It's not easy to walk in to a shelter and see all those faces begging for you to take them home but I will say the new staff is a caring staff! This is a very stressful environment but they try really hard to make it as best as possible. The clinic is great and I can always get cheaper spay neuter surgery done here for animals I rescue. I do recommend adopting pets from them, they ensure they're fully vaccinated and fixed before they go to their forever homes! Please volunteer here if you can, they are always in need of fosters and volunteers!

Sweet little Pushpa is groggy from being spayed, and doesn't like her blue e-collar !

My first impression was, WOW, this is such a Gorgeous facility! I was so happy that my daughter chose this facility to have her precious kitten spayed. My husband and I had taken our "Grand Cat", Pushpa (means Flower in Indian), to the SPCA to have our daughter's kitten spayed because she was in Virginia this week. When I called to confirm her appointment and ask what entrance we needed to go in, I was instructed to be there by 7:30 am and, go to the Front Entrance and use the side door to the left of the front door. Perfect! We walked right in @ 7:30 and were immediately greeted by Donisha (our friendly Vet Tech that day) and signed in, given instructions, told exactly what to expect and to be back to pick Pushpa up @ 3:30 PM. Great, smooth and easy peasy! We arrived back to pick Pushpa up at 3:30 pm and, they brought out a pretty 'out-of-it' little kitten. =( She was Not happy with her pretty blue e-collar, at all ! We are so impressed with this facility , the amazing Vet Tech ,Donisha, and the total care that all of the employees, volunteers and veterinarian provide....it couldn't have been any better ! Thank you again, Donisha! As we were leaving on Friday, Sept. 1st, '17, the employees and volunteers were unloading huge trucks filled with supplies...getting ready for all on the animals from evacuees in Houston and Louisiana. It was unbelievable ! I'm so grateful for all of these wonderful folks and, I told each and every one them that I saw. I wish I'd taken a picture of these employees and volunteers hustling and bustling...getting ready of all of the evacuees' pets. Thank you, SPCA of Dallas ! I would highly recommend anyone to call and check out this facility for all / any of your pet's needs and certainly if you're looking to adopt a new pet. They are also in need of volunteers ,especially at this time. These folks provide wonderful care and compassion for these sweet scared pets / animals... especially right now! These folks are truly doing an amazing job here!

We're so happy with our recent adoption of Mia! The process to adopt was simple and quick enough and we really appreciated the fact that she was already microchipped. We now have the absolute sweetest cat in the whole world !! :)

    Animal surrender at ASPCA
    Dane D.

Dude was an ass at surrender intake. I understand that it is a tough job dealing with people who should not have taken in animals. I didn't not ask to but was left a kitten. Wait a couple of weeks for appt and he will have me arrested if I just leave the poor thing outside???attitude right off the bat! I hope he doesn't have animals at home. No longer will u donate to any ASPCA.

    Sadie and Ralphy!!

We adopted Ralphy (pittie) in august 2021 and he came home healthy as can be and super happy. About 3 months later we went back to get Ralph a friend and took home Sadie (white). They love eachother so much and play for hours and hours. Adopt don't shop!!

As context, Rocky has been through a lot over the past year (ACL injury, Hypothyroidism flare ups, Allergy issues, Skin rash, Eye surgery, Ear infections, Tracheal collapse). In spite of all this, Rocky has remained a happy, sweet fur baby that is a "love magnet" wherever he goes :-). But, after months of vet visits, pokes, and prodding...we were both exhausted and needed a different path. My primary vet and I aligned that it was time to bring in specialty expertise and I'm so glad we did. From the moment we arrived at HEAL, I could tell this experience would be different. The entire staff is extremely kind and supportive, and Dr. Martinson is truly a gem--warm, intuitive, and incredibly thorough. She took the time to fully understand Rocky's health journey, and while a prior vet even suggested a wheelchair...I know my boy and he isn't there yet. Yes, he's aging, but it's not time for wheelchairs, heavy meds, or giving up. Dr. Martinson listened and agreed. Together we aligned on a holistic care plan that prioritizes Rocky's quality of life. No extreme interventions. Just thoughtful, expert care designed around what's best for him. Yes, the initial visit takes a lot of time, the "pre-booking" Questionnaire is extensive, and the services aren't cheap. But for me and Rocky, it was time and money well spent. This was the most detailed pet evaluation I've ever experienced and after months of stress, I finally saw Rocky relax. HEAL's Fear Free approach definitely works and I'm looking forward to a great partnership with Dr. Martinson and the entire team. And, more importantly, giving Rocky a chance to feel like himself again. If you're looking for thoughtful, compassionate, and expert-level care, I highly recommend HEAL. Wishing all our furry friends comfort and care. Happy Healing!

Dr. Gaines is the same doc that gets to evaluate my dog, Pepper's health every time and really takes the time to educate you on all the options that he knows including holistic approaches that a common vet won't even mention. The assistant, Allie was very personable, genuine and really took the time to help me evaluate my decisions with absolutely no pressure. Everyone here treats you like a real human being with a love for animals, which is what every vet should be. If I could give this place 10 stars I would because they absolutely deserve it.

When I asked why, they blamed me for following their own instructions and then terminated me as a client. The full story is shocking. I've trusted ReadyVet with my dog, Finn, for years, and always had great experiences with Dr. Ben. That trust ended after Finn's recent dental appointment. His procedure was scheduled for 8 a.m. I dropped him off on time and called around 1 p.m., only to learn his dental was just starting. Finn, who they know has anxiety, had been sitting in a cage for over five hours with no communication. They later claimed the delay was because I fed him, but I gave him a smaller-than-normal portion of food so he could take the trazodone they prescribed. No one ever said this would delay his care for hours. Looking back, it's clear the clinic was overbooked. They were running a 15% off dental promotion (see image attached) and had "fit me in" with another vet because my usual doctor, Dr. Ben, was fully booked for dentals until next month. I later learned they had four dentals that day. It's hard not to see the problem as a scheduling issue, not a medical one. When I raised my concerns, management accused me of being disrespectful and terminated me as a client. It was an incredibly disappointing end to what had been a positive relationship. Dr. Ben has always been wonderful and this situation had nothing to do with him. My issue is entirely with how the office is managed; poor communication, lack of transparency, and zero accountability. If you're considering ReadyVet, ask how many procedures they're booking that day and who will actually be doing them.

After a lot of research on Yelp, I landed on GoodVets Dallas Uptown and I'm so glad I did! The office is super cute, very clean, and extremely welcoming, which I greatly appreciated. We saw Dr. Medina, and she was wonderful. Her calm, reassuring energy put both me and Luna at ease, which was no small feat considering Luna was healing from a recent spay surgery at the time. Dr. Medina checked her incision, helped ensure it would heal beautifully (which it did), and got us set up with heartworm and flea/tick meds. We were both feeling like brand new by the end of the visit, LOL. Several things to note: **Parking: There's a small parking deck behind the building, but sometimes I've gotten lucky with street parking **Waiting Room: Not overly busy, and they have a cute drink station with water, soda, coffee and tea **Timing: Quick turnaround...our appointment started on time and wrapped fairly fast **Front Desk Team: Super pleasant and helpful in-person and over the phone **New Patient Perk: There's currently a $50 off promo for first-time visitors (I missed it, but maybe you'll catch it!) **GoodVets App: Really helpful for booking appointments, checking records, and managing meds If you're looking for a Vet, you may want to give GoodVets Dallas Uptown a try.
