Best Auto Repair shop in the Valley! I honestly have nothing but great things to say. This family run shop went above and beyond to help me get my 2009 Honda Pilot back up and running safely for me and my kids. I took my Pilot in after every light on my dashboard lit up. They were able to diagnose the issues very quickly. It was a failing purge valve solenoid as well as my ABS sensor cable had been severed. This was causing me to not be able to engage my 4WD which was a major concern during the winter. They were able to fix the solenoid same day. As for the sensor... Russ, the owner, was magically able to find the part that I needed when it was back ordered everywhere else. As soon as it came in, they got me in the next day and put everything in quickly. Unfortunately the sensor was not the only piece to the puzzle and something else was not quite right. Due to the holidays being in the next few days they did not have enough time to get everything else diagnosed. So they made sure to set me up for another appointment as soon as the new year passed. Within 15 minutes of being at my appointment they were able to figure out why my new ABS sensor still wasn't working. It was actually a failing ball bearing in my front driver side tire that was causing the issue and was a big safety concern. Russ came in and explained everything to me very thoroughly and told me that he was not going to let me leave unless my car was safe to drive because of my two kids .They had the part available and were able to do the repair quickly. Once repaired, the sensor started working and the car was back to being safe. I am a single mom of two children and Russ and his son made us feel like family. They played with my kids when I had to sit at the shop while my car was being fixed. They were so thorough and exceptionally nice through the whole process. I would highly recommend them to anyone with a Foreign car who needs a new mechanic. They really go above and beyond for their customers. You get the real family experience. On top of that they are no nonsense about their pricing. They are very competitive. They do not overcharge or gouge for pricing. You can expect to get exceptional service that is very timely and for a very reasonable price. read more

Popped in to have a warning light looked at. Fellow said, warning light is wrong, don't worry about it. BUT, did I hear that engine whine? Sounds serious. Took the car to Aaron's, my usual mechanic, and he said not only is the warning light right, there is no way to disable it unless the problem is fixed (brakes, the sensor is on the rotor area). AND, without my saying anything at all, he said, it sounds like you are low on power steering fluid. Checked it out and sure enough, he added it and the whine went away. He topped off a few other fluids for which he didn't charge me. Car is now 100% for the price of a brake job and some power steering fluid. I don't like being lied to. Specialized gives mechanics a very bad name. Good thing I know where Aaron's is located. read more

We have been taking our vehicles to Specialized for 30 years. I have them change the oil and lube the chassis every 3000 - 5000 miles and they let me know if they find any problems or if it's time to service the brakes or change the timing belt, etc. Because the Specialized technicians are checking our vehicles out on a regular basis, we hardly ever need a major repair. It's like having a lifetime service warranty. I have very little mechanical knowledge; however, Russ and Devon are always willing and able to explain their services to me in a way I can understand, and they never recommend or charge me for anything I don't need. Rather than "We need to fix this now" they are more likely to say, "Let's keep an eye on this until the next time you come in." Needless to say, we highly recommend Specialized Automotive Service & Repair. read more

Though the quality of their work is acceptable, they've now had my daughter's 1988 BMW for 2 months. That's a fact. Another fact, she had to finally find the part needed herself online and take a print-out to the shop to get the work done. Watch out ladies. They think we are stupid. This is a textbook place for imaginary problems that need your immediate attention. Oh, did you hear that noise? You have to take care of that before you are left stranded. We can fit you in today and have it fixed in a few hours... Only $300.. and other gimmicks to get your money. Second opinions are awfully revealing. Took the car to a trusted mechanic who heard the same noise, made a simple adjustment and sent me on my way with no charge. I wouldn't even trust these guys to do an oil change. Who knows what 'problems' they will discover or create. read more

Not the cheapest repair shop in town, but cheap doesn't always equal best. These guys know their stuff when it comes to imports, and they have always done a great job for me. I have had a lot of work done there over the years, and not once have they let me down, or failed to meet a deadline. These guys are honest, and deliver quality work. In my opinion, that's the only thing that matters when looking for a shop. Their prices are fair, but not the cheapest, and that's ok by me. Came in this afternoon after calling first. My taillight bulb was burnt out and stuck. I think I talked to the manager or owner and he personally came out and changed it. My son blew the engine in our old Saab on his way from Seattle to southern California. It was towed into Specialized, and Russ and Co. diagnosed the bad news. (It was late in the day, and we expected to have to wait until morning, but they got right on it.) They were very friendly and professional, and even gave my son a ride to the airport to get home. They even stored his bags until he drove back through the next week to pick them up. Further, Russ put up with the car until it was sold off Craigslist. I spoke with Russ over the phone several times, and was consistently impressed with his patience and consideration, given that he had many other customers and vehicles to deal with. If I were a resident of southern Oregon, Specialized would have my business. read more

I will never leave a negative review even if I receive poor service. There may have been a family emergency that day. If I find they are trying to provide services that are not needed to deliberately increase the price of the estimate,I simply stop using them, that type of behavior will put them out of business eventually. I received an estimate for my air conditioning from a different place and they told me close to $2000, when I took it to specialized automotive they gave me an estimate and told me that it would be close to $1000 maybe 1500 at worst scenario . So you really have to trust your mechanic and in this case their cost to me came in at $120 they repaired my air-conditioning perfectly quickly and were extremely honest which makes you feel really good, and know that I will go back there the next time I need work done. They very easily could have lied and told me it will be $1000 instead of $120. I am so grateful to them. Five stars for them!! read more
