We were greeted by Steve, explained what we were looking for and we went home with some carpet samples. Nice & easy! No deposit needed by the way, like at other stores. My husband and I decided on the carpet. We called Steve & he came to our home to take measurements...and about two weeks later our carpet was installed. I am incredibly happy with the thorough, professional and excellent job done by the two carpet installers. they took very good care of the few pieces of furniture that I needed their help moving. They worked straight through, no breaks and finished in about 4-5 hours. They cleaned up, they vacuumed the area and made sure I looked at their work it before they left. The price we paid was very reasonable. It included taking the old carpet with them as well. Every person that I've encountered at the store is very kind, polite and professional. My only critique is I called the store on a Sunday to find out if our carpet had arrived, for installation on Wednesday. The person I spoke to said they would call me back on Monday to confirm. I did not get a call back. So I called on Tuesday to confirm that the carpet would be coming on Wednesday. The reason I wanted to confirm is it's a lot of prep work moving clothes out of closets, furniture and all of our stuff out of the way. And if for some reason the carpet was delayed that would help me with planning. Other than that, it was a great experience and I will definitely go back to this store for future needs. We had over 2000 square feet of hickory hardwood improperly installed by this company when we bought our new home. The flooring was not properly acclimated prior to install and was installed in front of our dishwasher blocking the appliance from repair or replacement. The floor "popped" over the first 3 months after install sounding like gunshots at all hours of the day and night. The boards separated and cracked lengthwise despite keeping our home in a 63 to 72 degree temperature range - exposing the hardwoods to water damage / warping when a glass of water is spilled by compromising the sealant that was applied during install. When asked for a solution to the access issues around the dishwasher, Doug suggested cutting off the legs of the appliance. We requested he discuss replacing the hardwood between the dishwasher and the island with tile and he ghosted us completely. We are looking for a vendor who can address the replacement of hardwood for tile as we requested.

Even then, when you're allowing someone into your home to make an improvement such as hardwood floors, it's scary. Brian continued to reassure us, but it wasn't until the job was finished, completely finished, that I was at ease and so happy with the way the floors turned out. I have included pictures of our floors. It was a little over 1000 ft.² including our living room, family room, dining room, kitchen, breakfast nook, and bathroom. Was every single thing perfect? Not at all. There were little tiny issues here and there, but overall the floors are gorgeous. One of the issues, was me. I'm picky. I know that I'm picky, and I told them that I'm picky from the beginning. They worked with that. I appreciate the time that they took to be sure that I was happy with the end result. We have solid hardwood floors. The kind that are three quarters of an inch thick. It it was a pretty big job, demolishing the previous tile and installing the new floors, plus re-sanding and staining the existing floors. Run, don't walk, away from this company…read more About a year ago, we had a bathroom leak that affected a patch of our wood floors in the master bedroom. Johnson Custom Floors assured me that I didn't need to get brand new wood floors for the entire downstairs, we could patch the bedroom, and sand the rest of the bedroom down and stain it. I had some wear on the rest of the downstairs floors, so they said they could do a polyurethane top coat finish on the floors to make them look brand new. We had a few high traffic areas in the kitchen where the stain was coming up-- so, per their idea, they added some stain to the topcoat to blend in. We were told we would need to be out of the house for 5+ days, but they finished very quickly, and we were back in either 3 or 4 days (can't remember). Within 4 days, the top coat started bubbling and flaking off in huge chunks! My floors looked significantly worse than they did before. I immediately contacted the company, who said it "must be because of the added stain" (which was their idea), and they said they'd come out and re-do the top coat. If you've ever had any experience with re-doing floors-- you have to completely move out of your house. So, having to move my entire family out for another several days to a week (at our expense!) was LESS than desirable. Also... my floors were in decent shape before they came, and now they looked 20+ years old. I wanted the job done right the first time. Our baseboards also had a lot of stain/polyurethane on them that I had to hand scrape off myself. The bathroom ended up re-flooding, and this time caused significantly more damage to the floors (we ended up replacing the entire downstairs). We started interviewing other flooring companies, and instantly everyone was pointing out how bad of a patch job Johnson Custom Floors did in the bedroom. They didn't putty over any of the nail holes, so you could see exactly where the patch was. All in all-- very, very sloppy work. They were one of the cheapest companies that I had come out, but at the end of the day, the job wasn't done right, and I had 0 confidence in them to fix their sloppy work and perform a much larger scale job.

We recently bought a home in Dallas that had wood floor damage and needed to be refinished. I got quotes from several companies who came out and looked at the floor, but only Casey recognized what caused the problem. He recommended we get the foundation inspected and corrected before proceeding. If we'd gone ahead with refinishing the floors before the foundation work, the humidity damage likely would have reoccurred. We now have beautifully refinished white oak floors and are very happy with the work performed.

She even came over one evening and helped me pack up everything so that we could get to work on the GORGEOUS wood floors! Every contractor and craftsman was meticulous, neat, polite, and VERY picky about their quality of work. They were respectful or our property, our time, and our home. I was advised that the carpet would be appropriate with pets, but its condition is so poor that it can no longer be vacuumed due to the strings that have pulled out. Nine months later, my carpet needs replacing. All About Floors refused to replace the carpet or help me in any way. I am now faced with the cost of replacing of over 1000 feet of carpet, ten months after installation. If you go to All About Floors, don't expect them to take any responsibility for the work once it's done.
