The whole experience of getting my car tuned was great! From Seb and team answering all of my questions before the appointment was set, all the way to showing me the details of the app, its features and how to use it, and map switching. There were some issues that I experienced afterward that were not related to the tune, but Seb was able to use the data log to point out potential issues (some of which I was experiencing prior which I incorrectly diagnosed as lag). Came in for a clutch re-learn on my 09 GTR. I have an 09 with a newer DBA transmission that was installed by another shop a few years back. After the install, the car just never felt right out of first gear and the previous shop was not the easiest to deal with after he had collected my money. I called up Specialty Z and spoke with Leslie. She is super friendly and knowledgeable and set me up with an appointment. Sebastian only had to drive my car a few feet and he knew exactly what was needed to get my car shifting smoothly. Have had a great experience dealing with Seb over the years. He helped me talk through options for my car and was patient in the process. The first time I went for a tune on my track car, the system would not recognize my ECU, so I unfortuantely had to drive back up another time once that was resolved, but Seb made it worth my time. He included the full EcuTek kit the first time I went up, so that he could do some remote tuning for me in the meantime. Then I went back up for a proper dyno tune. This was all done around 2020 and since then, he has provided tons of follow up support to me and answered all my questions clearly and concisely. SPECIALTY SCUMBAGS. The "best place" for Nissan/Infiniti's turned out to be the WORST. Saved up for 5 years to get my baby on the road and these guys treated me and my car like trash. No sympathy or consideration whatsoever and even lied about extracting 25 gallons of gas from my tank which is a blatant lie considering Gs only have a 20 gallon tank.. They snapped my battery's positive terminal cover off, insisted I swap battery cable even though nothing was wrong, (I know because I have swapped battery multiple times with no issues) Charged extra $500 for rust on bolts, and even price gouged me on multiple items by 70% at least.. Simple example, they made me pay $150 for USED intake tubes which are $25 BRAND NEW on Amazon. Paid damn near $4000 to not even get a full diagnostic, car didn't even have coolant and they let me drive off like that.. And after everything the car was unable to run after just two weeks of leaving the shop. Upon calling I was told to email and of course I never received a response. ABSOLUTE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, receptionist was nice but besides that 0 stars. I worked so hard at minimum wage and starved for years to scrape together the cash and they just violated me completely. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE ROBBED. read more

I was refered to Seb for a Dyno Tune. Wow, does this improve the power and running of a car. My car was fast, but just wasn't putting it out like I had hoped. No expensive part to ruin my warranty. Seb hooked my car to the dyno and computers and went to work. I had so much more power I kept spinning my wheels on the way off his lot. He also gave me three other programs; One for over 95 degrees so I won't hurt the engine in the heat. One so nobody can start the car, another so a valet can't go over 35 M/h. I don't usually go out of my way to register for a site and leave a feedback but SpecialtyZ and Sebastian definitely deserve the due reputation. I called and came in today to have the a full exhaust system put on. Sebastian greeted me and get my vehicle situated right away, this is without appointment. Being a professional Lexus and Acura technician for over 15 years, i took a back seat approach to see if these guys would blow smoke up my a$$. To my surprise, without me asking, Sebastian went over the vehicle thoroughly and pointed out things that needed attention. To be honest, it is a discreet method of sale pitch but i assure you there were no pressure to get anything done. Sebastian explained everything thoroughly, gave me a lot of advices about the vehicle and replaced, adjusted quite a few items on the vehicle without charge. When it come to lunch break, Sebastian asked to to join them instead of leaving me stranded there and wait for them to get back. The whole shop close for lunch so don't be discourage when you pull up and don't see anyone there. At the end of the day, my wallet did get lighter but the time spent with a Z guru and learning a few things on my vehicle was priceless. All the things Sebastian pointed out to me i can easily take care of that for myself but for sure i will only buy parts from here to support their shop.
