I recently had the great pleasure of working with Sebastian. After a recommendation from a g35 guru and doing some googling, I sent off an email to Sebastian, which he replied to promptly. Over the next several weeks, we exchanged a flurry of emails in which he patiently and thoroughly answered all my questions and gave me the utmost confidence in placing my car in his hands. I dropped my g35 off at his facility for a supercharger install and tune, with a promised completion date. While my car was being worked on, he notified me of a problem (which I would have never known about) and he fixed that for me as well. Two days before the promised date, he emailed me and let me know I could pick up my car! We went for a test drive, and my G35 now pulled like a bat out of hell! My car runs perfectly when I am not boosting, and when I am boosting it pulls super hard. I made more power than most others with similar setups, and the driveability is like OEM. I had a check engine light go off after a couple of hundred miles, and Sebastian invited me back and took time on diagnosing it and making sure my car was safe and good to go. Like I have mentioned in other reviews, finding a car mechanic that is competent and honest has become increasingly difficult, but people like Sebastian and crew at Specialty Z always remind me that there are honest and super competent mechanics out there if you take the time to research properly. Came here to dyno my e46. M3. Loved how the guys were so knowledgeable about my car even though they are Nissan specialists. They did not rush me at all through the dyno process. They gave my car ample time to cool down before the next run. They took the time to explain everything to me and gave me the data file on thumb drives for my tuner. They were also really careful when hooking the car up to the roller. Stand out guys. By the way they use a dynojet type RWD dyno. My steering wheel was shaking at 50mph+ and constantly pulled to the right so I initially thought it might be my rack & pinion. So I emailed Speacialty Z to get a quote, he said its likely my tension rod bushings not rack & pinion. He suggested getting SPL adjustable rods which are the best on the market and will fix both problems. Installation would be $100, not bad since my alignment shop(Discount tire center) wanted to charge me $140. I decided it would be easier to install them myself beacause I live 50 miles away from them. Customer service is their first priorty and Ive heard nothing but good things about them on my 300zx forums. I will definitely take my Z here next time I need work done. Don't know why I waited a year to post this but... I found Specialty Z on a 370Z forum after I first bought my car. After reading the stellar reviews, I decided to give them a try. All the great things you're ready about Sebastian, Greg & SZ, are true! These guys are wizards and know the Z inside & out. They installed a Stillen G3 CAI kit, 25 row oil cooler, Swift springs, H&R spacers and did a UpRev tune on my 2010 370Z My car performs like a champ! I've had no issues with any of the work done @ SZ. I'm VERY happy with SZ and will gladly be returning for any of my Z needs in the future. read more

Came by last Tuesday for a tune of my 350Z. Seb did my tune back in 2009 and even though I have not been back since, Seb treated me like a long time customer! Since 2009, I've put on quite a few track miles and some bolt-ons on my Z and thank God I brought it in, cause Seb found that I was running 'lean'. After doing his 'magic' my final dyno numbers surpassed my numbers from 2009. Kudos on making my 10 year old engine feel like new! read more

This place really is the real deal. And yes all of the 5 star reviews are accurate. I had them install a Fast Intentions Cat-Back exhaust, Stillen Generation 3 Long Tube Cold Air Intake and the latest EcuTek Tune. Seb is a rockstar and is extremely knowledgeable with 370Z's (my car). He was very patient with me and my 1,000 questions. He answered back quick and in full detail. We had a small hiccup in the EcuTek Tune but he came in on his day off to help me get situated. It was a simple file refresh and the Z is now GOLD! Seb and his team go ABOVE AND BEYOND. I would recommend this shop hands down. If they are not very close to you I recommend the drive out there. Not only are they dedicated before and during the install, they are also dedicated far after. They will notify you of ECU updates needed to be made if relevant to your mod. I live in NY and he's been as helpful as possible via email with giving suggestions on my car. That shows these guys stand by their work. I own a 2004 350z with a Vortech supercharger kit. The shop that performed the original install did a piss poor job. Just recently I took my Z to Sebastian @ Specialty Z to tune and troubleshoot the install. I never take the time to blog or post comments regarding service; for Sebastian and his crew I will make an exception. I am EXTREMELY pleased with the quality of work and expedient turn around time for what I would consider a large job. They installed new injectors, in tank fuel pump, plugs, filter, cleaned up a problem in cylinder #5, and tuned my Z to well over 330hp to the wheels on pump gas - with another 4 tunes for various settings (91 octane, race gas, valet mode etc). All of this was done in three days. I had expected a week or more. Specialty Z under promised and over delivered on everything. I would highly recommend that if you need any motor work or tuning done - you give Sebastian or Greg a call at Specialty Z. They also were able to troubleshoot a bearing problem I had in the rear wheel - and didn't include it in their labor cost. I plan to invest my next bonus check with them to continue to tune and add mods to my 350z. Specialty Z will forever have my business. read more

I was so impressed with Sebastian's kindness - he checked out my brakes for me free of charge without me doing any prior business with him. I am always very careful about who I leave my car with and usually always want to be there when it is being worked on but with Sebastian, I do not feel the need. He takes care of the customer's car as if it were his and his work is top notch.
