My husband Carlo and I have been following Dr. Suh for many years on Youtube. Gonstead method attracted us very much. We finally decided to fly from Italy to NY for a visit. We both have annoying chronic pains but we were not in acute pain during the visit. Overall I can say that we have been very satisfied. It was like our dream come true! He was finally treating us !! Sherly, his assistant, is the kindest person I've ever met. A huge thanks! Dr. Suh spent some time to accurately listen to our diseases in details, he asked lots of questions to get an overview of our situation, he quickly made the X rays, he carefully spent some time explaining what was wrong and he passionately went through every aspects with unquestionable confidence. He made quite a lot of DEEP adjustments double checking every single time and adding others, if needed, until he felt that it was all in the "correct position". Adjustments can be slightly uncomfortable at first but, after a few seconds, I immediately felt a pleasant relief. My shoulder was finally moving better, ROM improved and my neck was able to move freely. He even adjusted my nasal septum as I couldn't breath well at all; the adjustment came like a punch in the face :) but, all of a sudden, I could feel the air again through my nose. I came here from YouTube and my experience has been amazing! Dr. Suh is very caring, respectful and a kind person who genuinely listens to your whole story and also provides the correct feedback/guidance. The X-rays that he took are very detailed and way better than any other chiropractors that I've ever visited for my issue. What makes Dr. Suh unique and more intelligent over other chiropractors is his approach, he focuses on the root cause of the issue and not just the problem. His explanations, reasoning and treatment plan has so much clarity that even someone outside of his field of study would be able to grasp as to what is going on. I have been seeing him for issues related to digestion, tailbone pain and pelvic floor dysfunction. I can say that it has been over a month and my digestion has improved, I'm able to eat without burping, not having much acid reflux like I used to. I feel very comfortable in sitting, standing and also sleeping, my backache has reduced significantly. He has been correcting many postural imbalances and nerve issues that I have been facing. Dr. Suh is the best doctor I ever had. He got me out of a wheelchair and gave me hope when I felt like life was over. I came to him with severe sciatica on my left side which landed me in a wheelchair. I came to him with tears because of how bad the pain was and he was very patient and took his time with me. I suffered a minor herniated disc after a bad mountain biking accident, and the three doctors that I saw did nothing to help my pain, nerve pain, and severe leg weakness. They took my x-ray, MRI, exams -- all they did was prescribe me painkillers and muscle relaxants. Then I started seeing Dr. Ryan and he immediately and accurately diagnosed my injury as a minor herniation on the 5th lumbar, which even my orthopedist didn't catch. His adjustments provided both pain relief and restored leg function. He also took the time to describe my time table for healing and gave me recommendations on exercises and activities I could do at home to accelerate the healing process. After about 5 months, my 5th lumbar has healed and has been holding up since. I would gladly and highly recommend Dr. Ryan. Highly recommended!! I came to see Dr Suh because I was suffering from Meniere's disease. This is a type of disease that affects your ears and makes you extremely dizzy and nauseous. The frightening part is that it can hit you at any time so I was desperate to get any type of help other than constantly taking medications. The first time I went to see Dr. Suh, he was warm, friendly and approachable. He was very professional and knowledgeable as he patiently explained my condition and how he was going to help me. I wasn't expecting much from my visit with Dr. Suh. I had this neck pain that had been with me for 1 week and was hoping at least he could fix that. My first visit was filled with tons of information, specifically if your spine and nervous system aren't in order the rest of your body won't be either. Another one I like is that your body is like a house. If the foundation of your house had cracks, your whole structure is out of whack. All of this made perfect sense to me. Dr Suh has an in office X-Ray which only takes about 10 minutes and he retakes them every couple of months. He also uses a Gonstead instruction to see which nerves are hurting worse that day. He has magical hands and really can interpret the body well. One of my favorite things is he never makes random adjustments. He's only aligning wherever he perceives needs to be. Chiropractic for me is a little scary but I'm so comfortable with Dr Suh because every visit he shows me he knows what he's doing. I leave his office every time feeling a little lighter and more relaxed walking in my own body. I look forward to my visits every week. I met with Dr. Martinez where he came from Texas. I have been having severe back pain which I thought it was more with my muscles. Dr. Suh is the real deal. I've been going to him on and off for a little over a year. A few months back I was having short term knee pain. The pain was behind my knee and after one treatment I was able to feel the improvement. After two, it was completely healed. Today, I went to him because I've been having pain in my shoulder and arm for over a year. I never really knew where it was coming from. I've had an MRI, stretched, had massages, acupuncture and cupping. Nothing worked. I've just been told it was muscle and I need to strengthen it. I brought it up to Dr. Suh and in less than a minute he knew what it was and where it was coming from. He knew the areas that were in pain without me telling him. Appointments are easy after the first visit since on the first visit there area items to review and do a x-ray to get a better look. Staff is friendly. Most adjustments take less than 15mins of your time. I highly recommend him. I came in 2013 seeking relief for neck pain and tightness in my shoulders. I was told the consult was free, and upon leaving the first appt, I was informed the visit was $120. I explained that the person who answered the phone said the consult was free. Not the case. Fine. I paid. Then my hip started bugging me big time. I went back and after explaining what was going on, Dr. Suh said he would not help me as there was nothing he could do. I still believed he could and tried to talk to him but he refused. My hip has never caused me any pain prior to the appointment that day. I am 100% certain that it was Dr. Suh's adjustment that has started this problem. My constant hip pain became occasional lower back pain. Additionally, I now have random sharp knee pain associated with the hip. After about 2 years of different chiropractors to try to 'fix' what Dr. Suh messed up, I finally got an MRI of my hip to see what the problem could be. What was the conclusion? A HIP LABRAL TEAR from the force of Dr. Suh's adjustment. Wonderful. There is no fix for a hip labral tear - just PT (Physical Therapy) to help strengthen the muscles surrounding the tear. It still angers me when I think about Dr. Suh's carelessness and lack of care for his own patient when he realized he had done something wrong. I have seen Dr. Suh's responses to other negative reviews so I am certain he will have something contradictory to say about this review, however, I can only share my experience and hope that others will choose a different chiropractor so as to avoid this sort of emotional and ongoing physical pain. I normally do not write reviews, but I wanted to write this because Dr. Suh was just horrible. He didn't act professional at all. As soon as I saw him, I felt like he was giving me weird glances and stares. He didn't really ask me any questions and it just seemed like he was going through the typical motions. I did not feel connected to dr. suh at all. He also checked his cell phone constantly and seemed like he was more interested in his cell phone then our conversations. Dr. Suh fixed my problem (back pain). I was in a very bad shape, barey dragged myself to his office, and after 3 weeks / 6 adjustments I was mostly healed. I want to point out that my back did NOT heal by itself. It took me 2-3 weeks to decide to seek help, and it did get any better during that time. Dr. Suh was very straightforward during the first visit regarding both price and treatment. Explained very clearly what he would do and why. One thing to keep in mind. It seems that many chiropractors want you to keep coming to their office forever. This is NOT the case with Dr. Suh. He only does what is neccessary. He would not do an adjustment if it's not necessary. When you are healed, he would schedule a follow up appointment a few months. Spent 2 hours there & didn't even get looked at. He kept saying he'll see me when I get back from my trip I was going on the next day. This guy doesn't have an X-ray machine in his office so had to go downstairs & 2 blocks away. Then he couldn't figure out how to X-ray correctly so had to get zapped 3 times. This isn't the tip of the ice burg but it's really too much for me to talk about. On top of it all it started raining on way back, maybe a sign, so I had to buy new shoes to walk back as mine as crazy expensive. Then I mentioned I didn't feel up to all spending 2 more hours for him to look at everything as he mentioned he needed a good amount of time to study X-rays. So I left, but not before he tried to charge me what he called a deal, $200 for just the X-ray. I have had this service before by a great doctor who only charged me $100 for X-ray & made me feel 100% better so I am going to find him again. Never will I go back to this place. Ever. read more
