As the takeover of Brighthouse is complete they raised my rates $15 a month . Since I live in Brighthouse only apartment community I have no other option . My unit does not have a southwestern exposure for satellite . Not like I have a ton of features , zero pay channels 2 HD boxes a DVR box . Landline that i don't need but doesn't lower the rate . Medium internet speed , middle of the road TV channels , all for now around $190 a month . I'm sure my community gets a kickback for being exclusive which isn't passed along . Absolutely the WORST customer service on this planet! They don't care if they help you, they don't care if you keep their service, and they can care less about restoring or repairing your service. They realize that they have no competition so why would they care if you were happy. You have no choice but put up with anything that the chiose to provide you with if anything and they in no way are obligated to treat you like a human being. In an attempt to move out service from one home to another they managed to create another account, lose and give away our phone number that we've had for 17+ years and their attitude was "oh well". Every month our service is shut off because we are only paying for one account. They can't fix it and seem to have no problem attempting monthly to charge us for 2 accounts and then shut us off for not Paying for both. You'll come to love what Brighthouse provided after dealing with Spectrum a few times. I would and will NEVER recommend to anyone to get service thru Spectrum. Worst service!! Had it for a year and techs have been out 7 times. Each one says they fixed it!! But no they have not! I was paying for high speed internet and they were barely giving us a signal. Unless you are a NEW customer, you still have to pay 3 times the advertised monthly charge for business phone service. Here's the problem I have with spectrum I had a deal with brighthouse for internet. The deal was $55 a month and the price would never go up. now when spectrum bought brighthouse they did not honor any of the agreements that brighthouse had put in place. they no longer offered the 25 mega second speed at a reduced price and told me there were only two speeds available 100 and 300 at 90$ and $120 a month. Well I told them bye bye, which apparently is what everyone has pretty much done. Here we are a year later and I get a flyer every week in the mailbox offering me a new customer discount there have been two or three sales people come around by the house even though there are signs in the neighborhood "no solicitation" and they offered me $49 a month for two years taxes included well I find this humourous actually ironic, because when you call spectrum on the number from their flyer they tell you a different price and tell you that that offer is for a limited time and it may not be available this is the problem I have with spectrum you folks need to get it together you keep losing business you keep losing market share think you'll get a clue? read more

Had to give one Star because zero was no option. Had a scheduled appointment with Spectrum between 3-4. Took off work to meet them. My wife called at 4:30 and was assured they would be here. At 6:30 still no representative or no phone call. 6:45 they want to reschedule. Want to take off another day of work or come out Saturday morning between 8 and 9. This is bullshit and they think nothing of your time although it says they do while you are on hold for for long periods of time. I cancelled my spectrum service cause I was moving out of my house into a home that already had internet service. My service was set to be disconnected July 1st. The service cycle started on June 26th and I received a bill saying that I owe the FULL $71 I was paying for FOUR DAYS OF INTERNET. Absolutely no proration. How could an internet provider as big as Spectrum be ok with something like that? Like the company couldn't survive if they actually just charged me for 4 days of internet? I will never be going to Spectrum for anything again. We turned off our cable last fall and kept the expensive Internet. A couple of weeks ago, we decided to try again with the app. What a waste of money. Yes I can get local channels, but the reception is aweful. I have called customer support twice in the last week The response was, " you are among thousands who have this problem. I can do nothing until the engineers fix the app." REALLY! Then this morning I have full cable channels and my "local" channels are from MI. The solution you might ask. We had used Brighthouse for years! Always paid my bill a head! When we moved I had a credit over $200.00 on my account. Now Spectrum said they did not receive our old equipment! We have had to put our new service under my husbands name and 1 1/2 years later, I still have not received my refund! Our Spectrum service we pay almost $300.00 a month and it sucks! I have a video to show how bad our cable service is but it would not allow me to post it! We have to reboot our service several times a week and when "trying" to watch t.v. the service goes off and on, alot of static and interruptions! I'm researching other services now! What choice do we have. I have multiple TV's and if you go to satellite service they won't cover all the tv's and must buy extra boxes etc. When calculated it does out almost the same price. I signed up for Spectrum Mobile and was told over the phone that I needed to go to the Spectrum store to have my new phone activated. I visited the store once and was told that I needed the account number and pin of my present cell phone provider Consumer Cellular. I acquired the account number and was told that I did not have an active pin from Consumer Cellular (I found out later that Consumer Cellular does not use pin numbers.) The representative at the Spectrum store, Tre, was insistent (as a matter of fact he argued with me) that I had to have a pin number along with the account number from Consumer Cellular. Tre did call a Spectrum rep and handed me his phone. I was able to talk to the Spectrum rep to activate my phone. Turns out that I could have done this from the comfort of my home. I did not need to go to the Spectrum Store to have my new mobile phone activated. However, my complaint is that Tre had an attitude the whole time I was in the store. His customer service attitude is ZERO! read more

This is possibly the worse company that we ever tried to do business with. I don't even know how to describe how horrible they are. My husband and I just moved into our new home. We called Spectrum to get tv and internet service. We gave them our new address and ordered a plan we're happy with. They assured us that are services would be turned on this last Thursday. We waited for our appointment which was between 4 and 6. No one came, and no one ever called. So we called them and they said oh we're sorry the girl you talked to forgot to put you on the schedule!! So they said don't worry we will have someone their on Monday between 4 and 6. That was for today. So today the same thing happened. No one called and no one came. Now during this window of time my husband called the customer service number 3 times, and each time they assured us a tech was on his way. Finally at 6:30 when we still had no one here we call them back. So we explained what was going on and that we were more than a little ticked off by this point. Finally they put us on hold for 20 minutes and then came back and said I'm sorry but your area is not serviceable !!! I mean what the hell??? This level of total lack of anyone in the company having a clue as to what is going on is ridiculous. My only recourse is to try to let as many people as possible know how much they suck. read more

brighthouse was fantastic! spectrum, i had 4 separate (times) tech's that came to my home before: phone, fax, internet, tv were all working at the same! today, 07/19/2017, my internet & being able to read my emails, have not worked for 4 days. i called spectrum, at 1-(855) 222-0102. i spoke to jay, working in the philippines. nice guy telling me, " spectrum computer engineers working on this above problem for 4 days". This is the worst cable company we have ever had. Their service cuts out all the time, their on demand frequently doesn't work, we pay a fortune for their service, and their customer service representatives are usually rude (probably because their service sucks soooo bad that they get yelled at all day.) 3 star review of Spectrum, Me and my wife, Tere Pizarro been living in Clermont, Florida for the last 3 years. We were using Brighthouse Cable all these years. Brighthouse Cable was bought by Spectrum! For the last year I was living on a lease in the Vineyards at Hammock Ridge Rd where we were with Brighthouse Cable! We bought a house at Heritage Hills in Clermont, Florida and when we moved we had to start using Spectrum and we gave the old cable Brighthouse boxes to Spectrum and they installed the new boxes. The Spectrum Internet is with excellent Speed, (300 Mgb/second), the signal in High Definition is excellent but the new boxes can only record 2 TV programs at the same time and if you are recording 2 programs at the same hour you can not watch any other channel of TV different from the recording channels! The Brighthouse old boxes had the capacity to record up to 6 TV programs at the same time and you could still watch any other channel when recording up to 5 programs at the same time! My wife called Spectrum thinking that we could fix the problem even if we have to pay more but the employee from Spectrum told us that the New Spectrum TV Cable boxes can only record 2 programs at the same time, that they don't have the capacity to do more! Now I am missing my favorite series in different TV channels in prime time after 3 years of recording 6 TV programs with Brighthouse! I don't understand why don't they have the technology to give the capacity to the new Spectrum boxes to record 6 TV programs at the same time! The Spectrum employee told us that now they can't do anything maybe in the future! read more

Not happy with spectrum!! For the first time since I bought my first Apple devices, they won't connect to the Wi-Fi at random times of the day. This has to be Spectrum blocking my devices. I've only had this company for a week so it's not like I'm on their high data usage watchlist... or am I... I'm not talking slow high speed internet, I'm saying it doesn't work at all! For instance, my device was working at 10am and then when I try to connect at 6pm it searches for 45min... I'm trying to do school work but the only way is to hot spot with my phone service. Brighthouse Cable was always dependable and did all repairs and service in a courteous and timely manner. I MISS THEM!!! I have been a loyal Bright House customer for years here in Orlando, until now that spectrum has bought them and changed things for the worst. Spectrum came and sent me a letter that my monthly cable/internet bill would be going up $15 dollars. I called and told them that I would not pay that amount and so they said okay we will give you a $5 discount on the price you are currently paying and upgrade your cable boxes and give you faster internet. I agreed with the deal and scheduled the time for the tech to make the upgrades. After the tech left I started to realize I had been tricked. I was missing channels and my internet speed was the same or slower. I called them and then started to get the run around. No record of the $5 discount offer, would cost more for the channels I lost. They record every conversation but will not pull up the recording to hear the lies and misleading statements that the original salesperson had said to me. I do not do business with people who knowingly lie to me so I canceled and went with dish network. But the good times were not over with, I received a bill from spectrum for the service call for $60. I called them and told them how I had been tricked plus never told that there would be a service charge for them to upgrade my working equipment. So he submitted a dispute feeling that the charge would be removed due to the situation and me canceling service 2 weeks after upgrade was done. They were suppose to contact me with the decision in a week's time that was 12/23. After calling 2 more times wondering what had been decided and each time the tech saying he doesn't know what had been decided. I receive a collection letter for the $60 in the month of March. I can tell you after being lied to multiple times, given the run around, treated poorly and ignored, I will take the hit on my credit report and will never use spectrum aka SPECTRE for cable or any other service for the rest of my life. I will also be changing my Mothers service to dish network as well besides warning all my friends on facebook and thru out the internet. BUYER BEWARE!!!!! read more

I have never been put on hold for such a lengthy time to connect with sales to open a new account. Secondly, I could not understand the individual I was talking too. After a long wait and several communication difficulties, I was told that I would have to visit a my local office. I have no choice but to be a spectrum customer. So my service was interrupted which was no big deal because I knew I would call and set up a appointment but I was told that they would send someone out to fix the cable after 2 days. So I waited patiently for the technician to come out and inspect who had a really bad attitude with me due to bright house setting up my cables in the attic and said he wasn't qualified to do that particular job and said he doesn't get paid for this. So I called Spectrum back to inform them on the situation and was told by the operator (who as well had a horrible attitude with me for no reason) told me to hold on the phone for 30 minutes and said that I wouldn't mind the wait. I was a Time Warner/Brighthouse/Spectrum customer for over 20 years. I had an internet only account that was discounted because of my employer. this rate has been in place since I signed up. I have replaced the modem a handful of times during my tenure. When my modem failed last month, I was informed that the spectrum equipment would not work with any of the "legacy" rates in place. I was required to switch to the Spectrum internet only plan, which doubled my monthly charge from $33 to $70. There was no discount for long-term patronage or any other option offered. This cable company SUCKS. Their technicians dont seem to know much of anything. They sell your address to other companies, I know this because they spelled my name wrong initially and suddenly I have a dozen other letters and phone calls coming in with the same misspelling. We had 3 technicians come out for the same problem, each saying "oh its this... " when the box was just faulty and we told them from the beginning. After leaving this company we got a couple visits from some of their workers trying to talk us out of our new cable company(which we are much happier with). When we said thank you but we are good, he proceeded to talk over us trying to sell us the same shitty service that we politely declined. SIDE NOTE if you are a loyal customer for any amount of time, you get 0 benefits/deals. Their sole focus is getting new customers only, . The only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars vs the 0 it deserves is due to CONRAD IN CUSTOMER SUPPORT. He has been the most polite and helpful person we have ever dealt with in this place even at midnight when calling about an issue that was supposed to be resolved months ago.
