Went to store for name change they tried to account change it. They had no idea what they were doing. My dad is disabled and they made him get out of the car and were laughing. I told them they needed to go over to him to get his ID they needed they said your his daughter you do it. do you want it done or not. Sat in his chair and was absolutely so rude and inconsiderate. I just have to say its my first time getting an account with Spectrum. Ive used it before with other family and friends. Service is always ok and i will day it has dropped a few times but its not that bad. Today i started service with Spectrum and asked to pick up my equipment. The nearest store is the one in Costa mesa. I had to travel about 30-40 min to come get my equipment to find out the store is poorly staffed. Theres no sense of urgency. The store is literally crawling with customers with hardly any place to sit. I've never been more disappointed in my life at the Customer service given here. Im going to keep my service because i need it but had i known i had to make an appointmet for a visit here i would have never started a contract. They got two reps for a store that services a whole bunch of people im assuming in the area. And to top it off they just sit there and have irrelevant conversations with the clients- only delaying the process alot more. Whats going on here? this place needs a revamp/ reinforcement on CS procedures. Have a se se of urgency. Moving at a glacial place just doesnt work in California. read more

I had the phone guy come out here to fix the Internet which he did he also broke my phone in the closet where the phone is hooked up I called them they send a tech out who said the problem was in the ceiling and I would have to hire someone to fix it well I just spent $150 for a guy who came out here and fixed it in less than one minute by plugging in the wire that tech number one had unplugged not plugged back in they would not reimburse for this they suck incredibly worst ever totally take no responsibility for their crap work. read more

Hi, Yelp community! I wanted to give a stellar review to our Spectrum specialist at the Costa Mesa location, named Jasiah Zidane! Literally the best, Customer Sevice I've experienced in such a long time where it was extremely pleasant and smooth for almost 2 hours of getting Internet and mobile set up. The intention and care was excellent and Jasiah went above and beyond to make sure we left with everything that we needed to include his contact info - just in case we required extra help. It was almost like hanging with a friend who had all the knowledge and know how of Internet and setting up a new cell phone... honestly, I'll definitely go back and recommend him to friends and family because he truly made us feel, cared for, and respected for our time, energy, and effort. Best spectrum experience ever, I believe he mentioned he was recently hired to... So this is amazing on Spectrum's part to prep their employees so well and and make them feel like they're taken care of by the organization. People are really nice. Unfortunately everyone is busy with cell phone setup or cell phone problems, so exchanging cable equipment means waiting for all the cell phone customers to be take care of. 40 minute wait for a simple exchange. 3 agents were helping the same cell customers as when i arrived and left, 1 remaining agent fortunately only had tv/internet customers to help so at least some people were moving thru. read more

Amazing service from the manager Omar....thank you for taking the time to help me activate my new mobile phones, porting and even the cases. Being a disabled veteran makes it even more appreciated. Further, once done even with a full store Diego not only pushed me in my chair to my car, but due to construction in the parking lot he had to move my car over so I could get in. A Spectrum online rep sold me a TV pkg. They sent me a bunch of equipment. I received it. Never installed it. Returned it to them well within the "refund" period. Would NOT credit my bill. Would NOT cancel my service. Spent hours on end both ONLINE and on the phone trying to get someone to help me. No one would help me. They kept referring over to another department. Each time I'd be on hold forever. This is a joke. Now they say that I will be billed for 4 Apple TV boxes at $7.99/mo until $180.00 EACH is paid off. That's almost $800 and I don't even have the equipment anymore. Never even activated service. I'm going to contact the Public Utilities Commission today and file an official complaint. Meanwhile I'm indebted to Spectrum until hell freezes over. What would YOU do? Wouldn't YOU be pissed? May they rot in hell!!! read more

Two hours on the phone yesterday with 5 different spectrum representatives and the installer showed up today WITHOUT the equipment he was supposed to install. The DMV is faster than these guys. These guys are fairly respectful and knowledgeable, just move at an absolute snail's pace. Sat here for 25 minutes just to return my old equipment and man do they take their sweet time. You can tell they are getting paid hourly because they are milking that clock. It was hilarious watching people come in and fill up the lobby. Sorry other customers, you've entered a black hole of time meant to waste your day. They should put up some more comfortable couches or maybe some beds so we can take a nap while they deal with other customers. I've had Spectrum or some version since 2000 and they still suck. I dumped cable when spectrum took over TWC because they jacked up the prices and took away services. I have never had a problem with their internet which is good because the only other choice for me is ATT. My own modem and router crashed so I got from Spectrum. It was just easier. Spectrum has a new super fast whole house router for a meshing system. It picks the band and channel. And works like crap. I'm on my 2nd which is worse than the first. I can't stream a thing, I'm constantly having to unplug everything. And this router is the only one they have, which is for huge homes and wealthy people. Epic mistake of expecting a one room apartment to want or need something this sophisticated. They can't fix it. Only one department can and good luck. You can't change settings. It was $5 for the wifi, fine and it would have been great if it worked. it doesn't. Buy your own. read more

Amin from Spectrum came to fix our system on Sunday. He is very personable and found the problem (our cable had developed a cut) in a very short time and fixed it. To do that he had to get on multiple ladders. Try impressed that he had it all fixed and then showed me how to get our devices back online. Terrific. I also really liked the employee who answered the phone (all the way from New York) and checked our system and put us inline for repair. He was both funny and helpful. The only thing I didn't like was the 9pm to 10pm timeframe given for the appointment. But my daughter managed to finally talk to someone on the phone who revised that to 5pm. read more

I am very happy with the service that Spectrum provides for my cable, internet and now cell phone. I went into the Costa Mesa office on Newport Blvd. recently and met a woman named Vatima. I went there to pick up 2 new cable boxes. I also talked to her about replacing my old modem (built in router) with a separate modem and a router. She was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I also talked to her about changing cell phone carriers and made an appointment with her. At that appointment, she worked with me to pick out a new cell phone, a spectrum cell phone plan, and transferred my phone number and contacts, etc. to my new phone. Walked out of the side of my house today and noticed a brand new coax cable (black) coming out of conduit at the side of my house (still has a plastic guard at the end of the cable). I never ordered and this is private property. When I called Spectrum, after rep was unable to explain why, was told "dispatch" would be calling me. This company doesn't honor their pricing. They lie when you sign up. When we signed up and the tech came he added all these other prices that we were told were free. We told them cancel the order. They tried to bill us the next day for the whole month after we cancelled. They never installed. 6 months later after cancelling service they transferred my phone service from Frontier to them without my permission. I was without a phone for several days. We called Frontier to asked why phone was not working they told us Spectrum told them we moved it to them, Total lie. Filing a lawsuit against Spectrum for fraud. Stay away from Spectrum. The wait was so long for me just to return equipment and the guy working the desk told me I can go to UPS in the same parking lot and they would ship it. Went to website wondering what my expected internet speeds should be with the plan I'm on. I don't see where they tell me that. They do refer me to an upgrade link that shows me a page saying "Standard - 400 Mbps Free modem etc" so i engage chat. After numerous questions with the chat bot I finally get a person who wants every little bit of information that is available to them at Spectrum including the security code from my bill and my account number. I finally find a bill but ask why we have to go through all that for a general question. They state my speed as 5/50. So I show them the website language and they tell me I have to call this number to get this deal. I say well how much is that? They tell me it's $100 just for internet service. I say thank you and move on with my day. I wish they didn't play all these shell games with plans and pricing. I made it two stars because the pros are that they have pretty good uptime and generally get the right speeds . Cons are that it is inconsistent from one moment to the next and that they always try to sell you more or different services and I don't consider $100 a month for internet to be a really great deal. If you are new to the area and are considering Spectrum versus a different provider, I would recommend something other than Spectrum unless the other providers are locking you into a contract. read more

I am so sick and tired of getting Robo calls from Spectrum, virtually every single day from a different phone number no matter how many times I block that number I still get their damn calls. I hate spectrum I will never ever ever do business with spectrum because of the way they market. if I was interested in the cable company, I would reach out to them, but i continue to get on almost a daily occurrence their Robot calls when I am busy in my day. is so irritating it is unbelievable I do not know how to stop their damn calls. I had a wonderful experience at the Costa Mesa store while changing over to Spectrum mobile. There were some preliminary steps that were required prior to activating my phone. Not being comfortable with what needed to be done, I went back to the store once I received my sim card. Alberto was fantastic. Despite the store being quite busy, he spent a significant amount of time with me correcting a glitch which was encountered. He was knowledgeable, persistent and most pleasant, He obviously knows the importance of good customer service! And I'm pleased I'll be saving almost $300. a year as a result of changing over. read more
