Rather than helping us understand the differences between available options, the conversation felt increasingly tense and dismissive, particularly when discussing our use of AI generated visuals to help refine the design direction we are trying to achieve. After scheduling a consultation, Gina later that same day decided not to take on the project, which is certainly her prerogative, and I appreciate that she communicated that before any work began. That said, the experience left me with the impression that questions, comparison shopping, and our personal decision making process were viewed negatively rather than as a normal part of a significant home investment. I did have to wait a few days, but Lucy came when she said she would. It turns out the mechanism in my Roman wood shade was the problem. It was broken and they no longer manufacture that type. She asked me if I would be interested in having her fix it with a pull string. I definitely was because it saved me a lot of money and hassle. It looks good and works well. She also repaired a disconnected shutter slat on my plantation shutter and gave me a one year warranty on both jobs. She did the work for the amount quoted and was pleasant and professional. The repair was not cheap, but it was reasonable and I'm happy. I won't hesitate to call Lucy back if/when I need other window covering repaired.

I used Yelp's quote request tool to reach several repair providers about a broken glass panel in my…read moreMilgard fiberglass french door. I described the door specifically and asked for someone experienced with Milgard. This company replied first and told me they work directly with Milgard and handle their repairs all the time, so I had them come out to measure and quote. The technician who came out did not seem familiar with how the door was built. Instead of getting the glass dimensions from the manufacturer or measuring the opening, he tried to pry off the interior trim to take his measurement. He started at the top left corner, in plain sight at eye level, and chipped the door, exposing the white fiberglass underneath. Then he did the same in the other three corners and again partway down the right side. Five spots in all, and he kept going after the first chip had already shown what the prying does. What makes it worse is where the damage landed. The chips are on the door itself, the fiberglass, which cannot simply be swapped out. The trim he was prying against is removable and replaceable, and it came through fine. He damaged the one part that is hard to replace and left the replaceable part intact. On top of that, he could not actually get the trim off, and proposed cutting it off and gluing it back on. The plan to cover the chips became repainting the door, and since it is a french door both panels would need painting to match. They asked me to source the correct Milgard paint myself. Their verbal price was also higher than what the job ultimately cost me, and the formal written quote they promised more than once never arrived. The company I ended up hiring removed the same trim in about 30 seconds, testing first in one discreet spot, with no damage to the door or the trim. That is the difference between a shop that knows this product and one that does not. I have patched the chips myself with epoxy putty and Milgard touch-up paint, but it is only a stopgap. The real irony is that the door now needs a full repaint to look whole again, not because the glass repair called for it, but purely because of the damage done during a visit to measure and quote. The damage was serious enough that I considered small claims court. One star (less if I could).

If you don't show up when scheduled, fail to add a job to your schedule, and keep lying to your customer about the arrival time of your tech who NEVER shows up at all...why would I trust this company with my larger corporate work? How you treat people matters, whether the job is big or small. This was unacceptable today and I did not appreciate that I had to keep calling YOUR business to find out what was going on, what happened to the tech, etc. Why aren't YOUR people communicating with customers? Why didn't anyone apologize? Why didn't anyone call before close of business to say, "Hey, we're not coming!" I was extremely unhappy because no one cared that I had taken time off work to meet the tech and no one cared enough to even CALL me and let me know what was going on. You guys dropped the ball big time here and were incredibly thoughtless and rude. Update: They just arrived at 5:36 pm. The techs themselves were GREAT and were able to do the work and complete the job. However, I wanted someone to know about the lack of transparency and communication today as it was very upsetting to me. The quality of work and the people you hired to do the actual technical job were terrific, knowledgeable and qualified. I realized it was not THEIR fault today, but I think it's important for people to know about the communication problems. I updated my review from 1 star to 3 because of the actual techs and their skills.

We got lucky. As part of a whole house remodel, we elected to have Haynes Cabinetry change out our…read morekitchen and bathroom cabinetry. We spent a huge amount of time and effort, researching different cabinetry companies in order to find the right match for us. It became clear as we researched that there is a big dividing line within the cabinetry industry. Most typically there are guys who have table saws, and tape measures and they proceed to chop up wood and nail it together. However, a more recent development in the cabinetry business is what we were looking for. The most advanced companies come out, take measurements of the room and then design the cabinetry on a three dimensional computer system. This provides a way of essentially seeing what you're going to create before you even make one bit of sawdust. Once an optimized design is finalized, the wood parts are cut up and drilled by computer controlled machines, that very precisely control the dimensions of the wood parts to within only a few thousands of an inch. At that point the wood panels are simply put together with very little effort and essentially no corrective measures being needed. The result is a cabinet assembly that comes out essentially perfect. All drawers are precisely in line, everything fits pretty much perfectly. And this is how Haynes cabinetry operates. Along with Haynes, using the most advanced methods of creating cabinetry, throughout our project, they continually displayed a most proactive approach to dealing with us. At no point during the project, did we ever have to ask to have something done a second time. Everything we asked was taken care of, and taken care of with a smile. It was as if we were having friends that we've known for years come over and perform this work, they were amazing! Looking back at our home remodel, it is clear that Haynes cabinetry led the pack with regards to comparing them with the other contractors that we had involved in our project. We cannot recommend Haynes too much.

We did hire a layout design specialist prior to meeting Charles, but the company took our design a step further and concocted a very ingenious shape for the lazy susans to maximize storage. The drawers on our base cabinets are deep, spacious and close softly. It's amazing how much we can store now. As with all renovations there were some delays getting the ball rolling, but the final result was well worth the wait. Their fabulous builder, Alfred is incredibly helpful and has called me personally to talk through things. The installers were also top notch. Thanks again, Haynes for a job well done!

DI installed a ring door bell for my wife and I. We have an older house (built in the 1950's) and they had no problems installing the unit even though the wiring was over 60 years old. He kept me well-informed about his schedule. He is a friendly guy and it was a pleasure to have him work at our home. He got the job completed in a reasonable amount of time and the price was totally reasonable. I highly recommend Gray's Installations and will definitely use him again!

EUGENE is THE MAN!…read more We just finished a remodel and the last thing to install was our new tv. We reached out Saturday and he came out today first thing this morning. I've never seen someone so thorough and specific. Placement, soundbar, everything 10/10. He also does all types of electrical work and will be back to install some under cabinet lighting 5 stars!
