Robert a customer service rep in the store has extremely poor customer service. My experience today 05/01/2026 was horrible. Over the phone I set up an in store swap of equipment. I checked, waited till my name was called Robert mispronounced my name (no big deal) I corrected him and he proceeded to say it wrong again on purpose with a shoulder shrug. Next I am trying to exchange my equipment and he tells me they don't have it in the store, so I ask if he can have it delivered to my home he immediately tells me no and that I can call customer service, it didn't make sense to me so I ask why, he says it's not a service they do in store I know this is untrue because I've done this in the past when I was informed they didn't have the equipment. So I ask to speak to the manager and after I explain the situation I am informed that Robert can assist with sending the equipment to my home. I inform the manager that Robert said he couldn't. So Robert assist with sending the equipment to my home I ask for a confirmation number once again Robert doesn't want to do his job and he tells me I can get it offline. This is not the experience I expected in store. This is also why most ppl prefer doing everything online. This is also why I will be also calling corporate and continuing my complaint, I didn't come on my lunch break to be provided rude unsatisfactory service when all I needed was to swap my equipment out so I can use the internet I pay for. We called Spectrum customer service to downgrade some services, then they told us to drop off the equipment at any location. We got to this Lakewood location, I was happy to see it was local to us, had easy parking. Customer service was nice , appropriate. All we needed to do was drop off equipment. Ok, this isn't about the people in the store but it is more about the process. To me, this entire visit was unnecessary and didn't make sense. Basically, I moved and transferred my service. Ok - easy right? Disconnect there. Start service here...all good. I actually made thar request online and everything transferred fine. But then I had to make an appointment to come here and drop off the old equipment. I've been here since 11:15. My appointment was at 11:30 and it's now 12. They only have 2 people working and a store full of people. I feel like there should be a quicker - just dropping off equipment line. Just seems like there could possibly be a more efficient process. Absolutely terrible experience at this Spectrum store. Don't go here poor customer service Jackie & Liz are 2 of the laziest customer service people around. We arrived at the store and Liz was wiping down her counter for a full five minutes while completely ignoring waiting customers. After that, she casually decided to lotion her hands, then disappeared to the back before finally coming out to help us. When she pulled up our account, she clearly didn't know how to navigate the system and had to repeatedly ask Jackie for help. In the middle of assisting us, Liz decided her break was more important and just walked away. When we asked where she went, we were told she had gone on break -- while we were still being helped. Completely unprofessional. Then we were stuck with Jackie, who was no better than her counterpart. The lack of urgency, knowledge, and basic customer service skills was unbelievable. This is why Spectrum is a shit company to begin with, and it continues with their employees. If this store is any reflection of the company as a whole, don't expect professionalism or respect for your time. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere else. read more

I spent a couple hours on the phone with spectrum today trying to work out a change of ownership. I was sent a form to fill out and when I called back to confirm everything I was told by a different representative I needed to have the signatures notarized to complete the process. That sounded complicated so then they told me to just go into a store and take care of it there. I went to the local store with the change of ownership form where the kid behind the counter got the manager involved for some reason. When the manager showed up (I think his name was Luke - he was an adult with braces) he basically told me there was nothing he could do. He was unable to look through my account, he was unable to complete a change of ownership form, he was even unable to cancel my service. He told me as of January 2026 everything must be done online. So at that point I wonder why his job even exists. So I get back on the phone with customer service while in the store. I tell customer service about this goose chase I've been on when they tell me the manager in the store should be able to resolve this. I tell customer service the manager is telling me there is nothing he can do. I offer to put customer service on the phone with the manager seeing how I'm standing right in front of the guy and they say "no". So at this point I have multiple people pointing the finger at each other but unwilling to talk to each other... basically leaving me in limbo. At this point, several hours later, I have uploaded all necessary documents for a transfer change and am crossing my fingers hoping it worked... but ultimately left with zero faith because of the incompetency all around. It really be your own people sometime. The two women during the shift I was there were rude and dismissive and disappeared. One of them lied and said they could not help us, so I called Spectrum CS while in there and the CS rep said that was untrue, the people in the store could have helped us. When they returned from the back, they had removed their name tags! So I filed a formal complain with corporate and gave them detailed descriptions with receipts and time stamps. Do not go there. This store has the worst customer service I've ever experienced. The women who work there were either rude or ignored me each time I visited - maybe 3 times the last few months. There's no friendliness whatsoever or any willingness to assist. I have seen the same treatment towards other customers. Don't subscribe with Spectrum. Slow upload & download speeds. For a better price you'll get much better service with Verizon or Frontier. Plus when you cancel your service with them, they don't prorate. For example, your monthly bill is from Aug 1 - Aug 31, and you cancel on Aug 5, they disconnect your service but you still owe them the full amount for the month. With this said, even after I moved out and no longer use their service from Aug 5 I still have to pay for the month. I understand my name wasn't under the account but the employee said my sister had to call and it takes 24 hours. So I leave with my sister on the phone asking what she can do to save the trip but told her it takes 24 hours anyways. My sister calls and adds me to the account in less than 2 minutes. Customer service here could be much better. I signed in through the kiosk to get a new mobile phone. There were 2 employees helping customers. One employee was assisting a customer with a new phone issue or something. In between tasks, he would help other customers. My name was called about 20 minutes after signing in. The employee asked how we could assist. I said I was interested in a new phone. He said he couldn't help me because he was new and didn't have mobile access yet. He told me the other employee could help me next. The man I spoke to walked over to the other employee to tell him I needed help with a phone and he immediately looked across the room at me and nodded. As I was waiting another man walked into the building and went right up to the person I spoke to about paying his bill in cash. They talked for a while and then he sat and waited. The employee that was supposed to help me was finishing up with the initial customer and as soon as the customer left the guy that walked right up; without any kiosk registering, wanted help from the employee I was waiting to help me. As they were talking, the other employee, the guy I spoke to was near me which I reminded him I was supposed to be next. He then walked over to the other employee to remind him. The employee then said to the other employee - "can't he wait ... he just needs to pay his bill." To wrap this up, Spectrum doesn't care about its customers. read more

I walked in right before it got really busy for the lunch hour, there were only two customers ahead of me being helped already. There were two employees out on the floor, so I stood a safe distance behind the customers being helped and waited. 40 minutes have passed now and I'm still waiting. By this time, Steve, Arlen, Eddie, and Matthew were out on the floor now. Nothing from any of these guys, nothing, not even a "hello"?! Waiting wasn't even the problem really, it was being there for almost 45 minutes without a single employee saying "hello" or "we'll be right with you". Isn't this the most fundamental and simplest thing you could do in a customer service, customer facing job, greeting your customers? I understand for those two that were already helping the two customers ahead of me, Eddie and Arlen, but both of them looked up at me making eye contact multiples times. Even a simple "thank you for your patience we will be right with you" would have gone a really long way. But wait there's more, it's finally my turn now and Steve is helping me. I walk up and let him know I need to cancel one of my accounts, and got no acknowledgment or empathy from him whatsoever. The transaction overall took less than 10 minutes and he didn't say a word to me until the very end. It was all done and I asked if there was anything more I needed to do, and he replied "no, it's cancelled". I grabbed my stuff and proceeded to leave, not a "thank you", "have a nice day" or anything at all from him. If you're having that bad of a day, don't let it affect the customer's experience, handle it and do what you need to do for work. We also had to cancel the prior account my old roommate was on first, get new equipment and input my low income discount and I was still only there for less than 30 minutes.
