OMG I don't even know where to start...Time Warner does not even deserve one star... I never been so irritated. I had Time Warner for about two days and was ready to shove their DVR up customer services ass; which I was told was free for the first three months... so anyways to even get service started felt like I was trying to set up a meeting with the President. I never waited so long just to get them to come for the installation. Long story short...the worst customer service EVER... everyone told me something different. After I had my order in I seen a great deal on TV. I called back and was told I can just tell the tech. Well when he came he said I was not able to do that. I had to go with my original order, which was Wireless Internet, and Cable with free HBO for a year. I thought at first free HBO for a year was to good to be true. I even asked what was the ketch...she insisted there was none and to take the offer. Then the tech told me he had a DVR on my order and I said no but he insisted that I keep it for the 3months. Well when I called CS again to switch my order around that promotion all of a sudden didn't exist as they tell me and the DVR was never free for 3 months, and I had Show Time which I was paying for without even knowing and free HBO didn't exist. I spoke to the manager and even he told me something completely different and was not concern in helping me at all. I said I wanted to cancel after all of this shit; which they said I had to wait like a week because de connecting was not a priority. They were suppose to come out today and they of course never showed up... I switched to VERIZON...they sent me the modem in the mail 3 days later... I was not receiving connection so I called their customer service and they had a tech out to my house the next day. They even give you a curtsy call before they arrive. They have excellent service and the tech guy even set up my wireless printer....I never been so impressed.... read more

Well today I was told that a refund I had coming would tale 4-6 weeks to get. Funny thing, I couldn't pay them late, in fact I a paid them on time all of the time. Customer service supervisor would not push me up in the organization, I was told that I had to write the office of the President, which I will be doing. This is another example of the once we lost the customer who really cares attitude of many of today's concerns.. Well that is a terrible attitude, and is inexcusable. I had business accounts with them in the past, and I promise the office of the president this, I will never do business with your concern again. When it came time for me to renew my cable and internet services, and I asked the customer rep to help me find the lowest amount, which was $96 per month including taxes, and she says that found a similar that is less than $96. I asked that the total including taxes is less than $96 and she said yes and then when I got the bill it was $102. Six dollars difference is not a lot but when adding up for a year that $112 I'd save and the principal is that I counted on good customer service and I didn't get it. I recently moved and didn't sign up for TWC...got a knock on the door from a TWC person pretending to be there because I called for an install. When I told him I didn't he says "Oh you don't want it"... Do not sign up for TWC! Services were spotty for the fees they charged. read more

Yet another horrible experience with TWC. However according to this person, only the last four digits of your social security number should be available on the system. So never give them your full social security number. And you can request to have the social security number removed from your account. Since they're not the government or a financial institution there's no reason for them to have it anyway. read more

In minutes, they guaranteed that my account was properly closed and I did not owe them any money or equipment -- they gave me a long receipt confirming that. That was 3 years ago. I would normally not be one to give Spectrum cable a great review, however, Charice at this office just made my day. After spending half an hour on the phone with a representative earlier this week, who absolutely would not budge on the internet price, Charice was able to give me the promotional deal for a year. Dont waste your time and money with time warner. There internet service is slow and their customer service is AWEFUL! I called into cancel a while ago and two month later I received a bill. When I called in I was told my service was still active, even though I had it cancelled two months prior. They have the worst customer services at all: they refused to honor the package that was promised on the phone and denied it ever happened. I had to spend over an hour to talk to 3 different people on the phone for the over billing without any results. The black guy at the store did not even want to verify that I went to store to switch the box, telling that it would take him 1 hour or more to print out the receipt it that! Was told last year when its still TWC to get your own router so we don't have to pay for rental fees. The worst company I have ever dealt with in my life. They double bill my account, their service does not work everything from Internet to cable to telephone is a disaster . Their reps are trained to be nice but have absolutely no power to resolve issues . I promise to call back but you never do . I really want to give them zero stars. These people are ridiculous! I had a simple transfer of services from one apartment to the next in the same apartment complex and they could not get this right for an entire week!! I spoke with TWO different representatives about my transfer and about why the equipment was not working. The second one walked me through all of the troubleshooting stuff before deciding I needed a representative. on the day my technician was supposed to arrive the 3rd representative tells me I can't connect services in my new apartment because the previous tenant never disconnected their services. How the hell did the first TWO representatives miss that and who the hells equipment was the 2nd one troubleshooting?? I waited a week for nothing?? Now I am asked to wait an additional week because you people can't get it right? I am over time warner and if my apartment complex could get other services I would disconnect all of this!! My cable has never been worse since the change from Adelphia. I tried to watch a station I used to get and I found out I didn't have that 'tier'. Then more bad news I didn't have a 'tier' at all because they neglected to give me one. They gave me an extra "tier "(for 6 months)because of their mistake. Tier is their little euphemism for making you pay more $ for stations that used to be included.The only good news is because they have gotten so many complaints, they reduced my bill.The audio on some stations is sometimes out for days. sales representative from time warner convinced me to switch my business phone from verizon to time warner about a month ago ,since then i have not heard from them till yesterday which someone came and told me that they are pre installing today and will come back tomorrow to do the actual installations ,they have by mistake or negligent disconnected all my line since yesterday and i have called at least 20 times and after staying on hold for so long they are telling me that there is nothing they cant do until next week do not let them sell you a service ,they have the lowest lowest customer service and reliability ,stay away from them if you care about your business read more

Other than the long lines at this office in Santa Monica, I had pretty good customer service experiences with Time Warner Cable. But now that they have become Spectrum the service has been terrible. They do not seem to want my business or care if I am satisfied. First, my promotional rate expired, so I called to change my TV-Internet package. I spent 45 minutes on the phone with a representative (sounded like an offshore call center) who did not seem to know the packages very well and had to put me on hold several times to look up information. Finally (45 minutes in to the call) when I had decided on the package I wanted she said she had to transfer me to another department to complete my order. The guy she transferred me to seemed much more knowledgeable but he did not have any information about the pricing I had just discussed for 45 minutes with the first woman because she did not leave any notes in the system. Some of the pricing she had given me was incorrect according to him, though he did give me a discount to make the total come out to the number she had promised. That part took about 10 more minutes, so almost an hour to make a change to my plan. I then asked him if I could make a change to another account for a rental property I own, he said NO, I would have to call back and start over because they cannot discuss two different accounts in the same call. Huh??? Does not make sense. When I called back to downgrade the service on my rental property account I was able to do that in about 10 minutes. Apparently if you are downgrading or canceling you get a more knowledgeable representative on the phone. A couple of weeks later I called to cancel the rental property's service entirely because tenants were going to move in. That time, the representative said I didn't have to cancel, I could just transfer service to the tenant. But I would have to come to the office in person with the tenant. She said if I did not transfer the service in this way, the tenant would have to wait 30 days before the could establish service. Huh?? When I challenged her, she eventually admitted that I could cancel the service now and the tenant could start new service by coming in to the Spectrum office with a copy of the lease. It sounds to me like the representatives are told to push the transfer option to avoid a gap in revenue. When she confirmed the cancellation of service, she told me I should pay $36 on the current bill to fully pay for the service through the cancellation date. Finally, when I went to this Santa Monica office to return the equipment, the rather unfriendly representative told me I owed $68 on the account, not the $36 that the person on the phone told me. She did not seem the slightest bit concerned that another Spectrum employee had told me a different amount, nor did she seem concerned when I told her that I have been very unhappy with Spectrum customer service recently. So now I have to spend more time calling them to argue about how much I'm supposed to pay to close out the account. At least there were no lines. Not a single customer was in the Santa Monica office when I walked in. I think it is time to look into TV streaming services and cut the cord. read more

I have had continuous problem with TW Cable since January. I have had their techs out at least four times...Since April, my system freezes and reboots itself....yesterday it happened six times before 8 pm when I turned it off! The worst part was calling them in order to have someone come out today. The person on the phone read from her script over and over again, and would not put a supervisor on the phone! I felt like I was talking to a robot. I finally hung up and called back, and got a person who said he would have someone come out! I doubt that anything will be fixed today. Last try! They "rescheduled" my appointment to turn on my service twice - they didn't show up, and when I called, they gave me a new install date...after a half dozen calls to their outsourced customer service who were AWFUL. I have so many complaints and not near enough time to get into every detail, but I will detail what happened that CAUSED ME TO LEAVE THIS SERVICE PROVIDER. I purchased NBA league pass with ten days left in the regular season, i was told it was going to be 25 bucks, i was then billed 50. I knew they had made a mistake so I called them and the first person i spoke to let me know that they were not going to be able to refund it even if i spoke to a supervisor. I was then transferred to a supervisor named AUTUMN, and after telling her I spoke to someone on the phone for 15 minutes to order the service at the end of March, she then basically told me i was lying! I told her I am going to hang up and call my service provider because that is fraudulant! She told me she searched all of her databases and no call existed. I was absolutely FLOORED! I told her i would call my service provider to prove such call exists when she said "Oh wait i forgot i can check one more thing" This is what she said word-for-word. (Typical coverup, and a pretty sloppy one, in all honesty) She called me back and told me she had (miraculously) stumbled across my phone call and indeed i was wrong and the 50$ is still due instead of the 25$. This is an outright lie, and when i asked her if it was possible for me to hear the phone call, she told me i had to bring a subpoena! CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS!? A SUBPOENA! This "supervisor" really told me to bring a subpoena if i want to hear the phone call, mind you, this is "customer service". THANKS FOR THE SERVICE! Returning my cable box TODAY! At the end of the day, this company has a monopoly on the services they provide, so they do not have to listen to the customer, i am surprised they even waste their money on a customer service department with how poorly they deal with customers. The services were mediocre, if you decide to give your money to these people, PRAY TO THE ALMIGHTY JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD AND SAVIOR WHO DIED ON THE CROSS FOR OUR SINS that there is no billing disputes because they will NOT only NOT refund you, or work with you in any way, but they will tell you to bring them a subpoena if you want proof of wrongdoing on their part. I wish there were 0 stars. We ordered Time Warner back in March, and this month we got our second bill. You read that right. Turns out, someone had ordered TV Asia on our account at 15 dollars a month. Now, I don't knwo if you can see my pic or not, by my wife and I are about as white as it gets. I have nothing against Asians whatsoever, but I am not involved in the culture and I am certainly not able to speak any language except English, so there's no need at all for us to have TV Asia. We got it taken off, but the charge still remains. When we ordered, they left the wireless off and wanted to charge me 175 to add it. I bought my own wireless router. Well, they have got me for 60 bucks, but bet your ass I will be moving along, because in 3 calls, we have been told it is their "policy" that I cannot get a credit back for this. Well, they can keep their policy, I will be finding a new company and doing everything in my power to let everyone know how much of a RIP-OFF that they are, not to mention that they will start throttling data on July 15th if you use too much internet. So, here's to you, Time-Warner, you have made a good living on picking up customers with a good tale of your services, then adding on things, nickle-and-diming customers and outright RIPPING PEOPLE OFF. My cable dude was supposed to be here to install at 8am. No call? No # to dial? Place isn't even open yet? So confused

Overall this has been my worst new customer experience. As a new customer for Time Warner Cable, I naturally find myself to their website and make an on-line appointment 3 weeks prior to me moving into my new place to ensure that I secure an appointment that works for me to get both cable and internet installed. On the day of the scheduled install, I call before hand to make sure that the technician is coming and they tell me that they do not see an appointment in their system with my info. They transfer me to one department and then to customer service where I get transferred to the supposed supervisor there, Kim Mai (or at least that's the employee identification she provided me). She can't help me and apologizes and says that they will have a tech out there the following day at 1 pm. The next day I'm waiting and I have my window open to make sure that I can hear if someone comes to the front gate. At 2:15 pm, I decide to call and see the status of the tech. They tell me that the technician called me three times at 2:05 pm and moved on. I tell her that's impossible and we later find out that they incorrectly inputted my phone number in their system, even though when you first call they have an automated caller ID system, which they base your account off of. They reschedule the tech out for 4-7 pm same day. The tech arrives shortly thereafter and did a pretty good job, but I'm basing this score off the lack of coordination between their on-line system and their respective departments. Lastly, my first bill shows up today and they totally butchered the spelling of my name and I had to get that corrected too. In total, it took me about 5 plus phone calls and a lot of my time to get a simple install done as new customer. read more

I HATE TIME WARNER CABLE!!! I wish I could rate them NEGATIVE 5 stars! I thought I was being dramatic, but I've read the rest of the posts and saw "loathe", "lazy", "crap", "horrible", "incompetent", and "sucks" describing their experience with TWC. I have been with them for about 7 years now, and I have never been impressed. The Internet is very slow, and I'm only using it for email and spreadsheets. Internet aside, we entertain a lot. While having friends over, we pop up some popcorn and hang out watching a movie. Several times through the movie (and the party), the movie stops in the middle and says, "VOD not available..." I'm 37 years old, I pay my cable bill these days, there is NO reason my movie should be shut off. I have had 3 trouble tickets in the last 2 months that I actually reported for this issue, and tonight I've had it. I've called back for the second time and have been on hold for 55 minutes (I'm stubborn and reading a book)!! Sadly I don't get Verizon Fios in my neighborhood although I've heard they are the best. Everyone in my complex (8 units) has a Dish but I thought sticking with Time Warner was the right thing to do. Silly. My boyfriend has At&t and never has this issue. Dumbest company of all time. Not only is the internet speak horrible and spotty, the people are dumb AF. I called to cancel and was told I had to go into the store even though I told the agent I had my own equipment and had nothing to return. Went to the store and they said I was supposed to call. For serious? Once you close your account you can't access your online account to pull old statements for tax records. When you call to request it, they tell you they don't have email access and you have to go to the store to get a copy of your statement printed. For serious? DUMBEST FREAKING COMPANY OF ALL TIME. I avoid them at all cost but unfortunately in certain areas they're your only option. read more

I wish I could give them 0 stars but the lowest I can give is 1. They have the worst customer service I have ever had the misfortune of calling. WHATEVER YOU DO DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICE!!!! When I disconnected their cable service their technician didn't follow their own protocol and took my cable modem and didn't log it in to their system. They subsequently charged me for the modem their own person took. I spent three weeks talking to various customer service people trying to get this fixed. All of them claimed it was not their department and were less than useless. I finally got to talk to someone who was willing and able to resolve the issue after filing a complaint with the LA better business bureau. Overall it took three weeks and a complaint to the city before they finally did anything. This was by far the WORST customer service I have ever had to deal with. read more

I have spent hours and hours on the phone with them in the last week. No one seems to have the same answer and no one seems to care. I canceled phone service months ago but they never canceled it. Much time was spent trying to get credit for that. They accidentally turned off my TV service last week. For a year they foisted "Turbo" internet on me, saying that I wouldn't be able to watch Netflix without it. It wasn't until speaking to one of their own technicians that I was told that I absolutely did not need it. I hope some one starts a class action suit against them but I don't have the time. read more

I have been dealing with Time Warner for a month just trying to get internet service. I have made 12 calls and have been on the line a total of 18 hours, to managers and sales people. Not one "manager" actually called me back out of the 4 that promised a call back. My account was approved apparently but when I call in nobody knows anything about my account. Still unresolved! Further, they change the terms of service whenever it is in their benefit. I have cancelled with them before due to them changing the terms of the service agreement and if they weren't the only provider available in my new neighborhood I would again. I just switched back to Spectrum/TWC, and after receiving my first bill and speaking to their Customer Service agents, I'm remembering why I canceled them. Last weekend, I had to pick up all my modems, remotes, routers, etc., and spend a couple of hours installing the service myself. When I was done, nothing worked. I called and was able to have a service person come out same day. I was told that there would normally be a charge for a technician, but since someone should have told me I wouldn't be able to install this myself as I switched over from DISH, there would be no charge. Today I received my first bill, and there is a $50 charge for installation. I called and was told they would remove part of the charge but would still have to charge me for installing it myself. Are they serious?! The supervisor, Adrian who I spoke to told me there is always a charge for self-install, and I was fortunate that they didn't charge me a fee for calling in!! He said, "It's expensive to run a business and everything costs money." I told him to consider that an expense they pass on to the customer in their huge monthly bills. Just awful customer service.
