These guys are dishonest, scammers. I am absolutely appalled that the representative looked me in the eyes & chose to blatantly lie to my face about the price just to make a quick sale, have me find out about the price the next day, return the device & lose a customer (if not more) for life. Through the Verizon App online, my mom bought an iPhone 16 Pro & specifically declined the technician set up fee of $40. She then sent me to pick up the phone in store. SCAM 1: When I get to the store to pick up the Phone, the Verizon rep said there was no order to be found on the account & that I had to pay in person that day. Turns out, (via e-time stamp) the Verizon rep intentionally cancelled my mom's pre-paid order so that I would have to fill out the forms & purchase a phone through him just so that he'd get commission. Such a waste of my time. I also had to call Verizon's phone triage just to verify my mom's prepaid order will be refunded to her account in the next Verizon billing cycle. SCAM 2: The Verizon rep said they were doing an Apple Watch deal where I could keep my existing Verizon line and buy the Apple Watch at the discounted rate in-store. I said ok & paid for the watch with my credit card in-store. I then go home only to find that the Verizon rep opened up a NEW PHONE LINE under a NEW PHONE NUMBER just for my Apple Watch that would cost me $15.99 for 36 months which is $575. Ridiculous. What's more is that instead of charging it to my account because it was my Apple Watch, he sneakily charged this $575 fee to my mom's account hoping my mom and I wouldn't talk & find out? This all felt so sneaky because Verizon's billing cycle is monthly & any new purchase can only be returned in 30 days... so if my mom and I didn't talk (literally the next day) or bother to have checked our online account we would've been locked in for 36 more months (3 years) for a new phone line for an Apple Watch... good thing we caught it. However the next day when I went into the store to return the watch & cancel the phone line, Verizon insisted on charging me a $50 restocking fee (again another swipe on the credit card). Even though I was in-store I again had to call the Verizon customer phone triage line to cancel the phone line AND refund the $50 restocking fee which they could only apply as a credit not cash. Also this credit is not going to apply until the next billing cycle so now I have to keep track of that as well. The Verizon Rep over the phone said if I don't see this $ refund in the next billing cycle I should call the main Verizon customer service line again (not even a specific line that'll get the new rep up to speed) - what a nightmare. SCAM 3: I specifically told the Verizon rep I didn't want to elect in the Verizon set up fee because I'm only here to pick up the phone. I'll be setting it up at home since Apple products are intentionally made to be user friendly. Despite saying this, the Verizon rep had the audacity to charge me not ONCE but TWO service set up fees for both the watch & the iPhone. When I asked him what those line items were on the invoice he blatantly LIED to my face that those were just Verizon Purchasing fees that he has no authority to take off the invoice & that they were NOT the initially declined technician set up fee. He was the only person in the store so I couldn't verify with anyone at that time & I ended up paying the $70 set up fee. I later found out the truth & had to again call the Verizon phone triage line to rectify this. I have never seen a representative blatantly lie about something so black & white, and something that could be easily checked the next day & rectified. Guess he was counting on the fact that I wouldn't go through the hassle of rectifying all the excess charges he put on my account. ------ Tldr, he upcharged me an excess of $904.58 when in reality if he had done right by me and gave me what I asked for & had the paperwork for, I wouldn't have had to pay anything and I wouldn't have had to waste so much time going back to the store & troubleshooting with Verizon's phone customer service line. What's more, is that all this money is only going to be refunded to me in Verizon CREDIT and not refunded to the original payment. Insane. Biggest scam ever. These people are heartless. read more

This is a 3rd party Verizon and does not have the same abilities as their corporate stores. Reina sent me and another customer to the corporate store on Wilshire saying it was open extended holiday hours until 8 pm instead of 6 pm. She said her store was open until 9 pm instead of 8 pm for extended holiday hours. She said all Verizon corporate and 3rd party stores have these extended holiday hours, listed above. The corporate store was locked after I drove there though so I wasted another trip then had to circle back. This was after I had already wasted an hour calling her store and other Verizon stores, which never answered. She had said, before sending us on the goose chase, none ever answers phones. She then contradicted herself numerous times. Then she locked me out of my account access in the store. Not once did she ever understand my phone didn't work in light of a damaged screen and what this involves, or that I had paired it with another device that sometimes can have a delay before showing texts since it isn't on my Verizon plan. Instead she insisted the insurance had only 3 repair shops in LA County, each through heavy traffic routes over about a handful of miles away, knowing she caused me unnecessarily to have to take extensive time off work again and do so again. Even after I said the much nearer approximate area had seen it is in, she insisted it wasn't there though this is the one the insurance eventually suggested. She then contradicted herself again. She said the store closed at 8 p.m. She said I had to leave as I made a quick call to ask advice so I could ask her a quick question based on it, as the store remained open and another customer stayed another 25 minutes or so. I had to stand on the street so I could not hear, as I had to stand near enough the store right by the street to do this on wifi data. I knocked on the glass door about over a half hour before she said it closed at 9 pm to ask this quick question after, though she ignored it. As I held up 9 fingers about the 9 pm hour not having come, she repeatedly held up a cell phone seeming to take pictures of me showing her statement it closed at 9 pm was dishonest. However, I did not consent and request she and Verizon erase these. To the customers that eavesdropped and laughed, not knowing still or ever almost the entirety of the situation, some day they are going to be in the situation and are going to laugh at themselves, though entirely not how they think or did today. My experience on Monday 9/29 at the Verizon at 11870 Santa Monica Blvd Ste 100 Los Angeles, CA 90025 I went to pick up my new phone. I was told I could get 15 dollars off if I bought 3 accessories: the charger block, the case, and the screen protector. I referenced that and said I want to get that deal and Reina, the employee helping me, closed the transaction without the accessories and said she could refund and do it again. I thanked her and said I would like her to refund the transaction. She then said she couldn't and needed manager approval and that the manager wasn't in store. I said I told you I wanted the $15 off deal. She started yelling at me in front of other customers in the store and saying that she was very clear with me. I said I don't want to get in an argument, and she got louder and screamed at me. I felt like I had to calm her down and continue working with her because she was the only representative working, and my phone was already undergoing the transfer process. I told her I'm not angry, I thought I had been clear with her with what I wanted, too. I had to stay for hours until the store closed. She dropped my new phone on the desk, out of either carelessness or spite, which I found unprofessional and rude. She gave me misinformation about returning my old phone and said I had to wipe it, but I actually had to take the find my iPhone off first. I never want to go back to this store again because I don't appreciate being yelled at and having my new items dropped before I've even touched them. If I could give them negative stars I would. I was basically scammed by this location. I should have ran straight out when I watched several customers in front of me on line extremely frustrated with the employees AND THEN watched the store manager GET SERVED A LAW SUITE for screwing over another customer. Late 2020 I had a major operation that left me bed ridden in an Airbnb close to the hospital for 6 weeks. The Wi-Fi was awful, so I thought maybe I'll try a Verizon hotspot. I called before coming in and explained to the lady that I did not want to sign a contract for anything. I only wanted to buy a hotspot if it was pay as you go. I've owned several pre-paid phones through Verizon. If you want to use it, you buy a card and add it to your account. If you don't want to use it, you don't buy a card. Doesn't work, but you're not billed for anything. This is exactly what I explained to the woman at the store I wanted. She assured me that this is exactly what I would get. So I purchased the device and and came down to this location to have her set it up for me. Long story short, the device got no device in the Airbnb I was at. Completely useless to me. I would have liked to return it for a refund, but because I was bedridden I was unable to make it in within the 14 day return window. A month goes by and I get a call from Verizon saying that I owe money. I go on my Verizon app where I pay my bills every month and it shows a zero balance. I'm confused. Call Verizon, they look up my account. Confirm that it has a zero balance. Now I'm even more confused. Another month goes by and I continue to get automated calls telling me I owe money. I call Verizon a couple more times. Start a fraud investigation because they find a phone number I've never heard of before attached to my social. Eventually we come to realize it's the number attached to the hotspot and that it had been hidden in a sub account that did not come up when I logged into my Verizon. I end up having to pay another $140 that I did not want to pay. At this point I think it's done. Cut to 6 months later I get a notice that I'm now in collections because they continued to bill me to an account I was unable to pull up online. I had a 799 FICO score before this. I've never missed a payment on anything. I'm in the process of trying to buy a home. This has totally screwed me on interest rates and a year later I still do not own a home. Hold on, within moments Donnavan Ham, the Store Manager, introduced himself and asked how he could help. Without numbing you into a coma reciting all the grisly details, I explained my situation to Donnavan and what I was looking for. He listened carefully, absorbed all the relevant information like a dry sponge and then outlined a cogent plan to guide me through the seemingly impenetrable rain forest of Verizon World. Master Ham presented the best options to solve the problem and then zeroed in on the most efficient and reasonably priced course of action. Donnavan was calm and patient as he navigated around the reefs and shoals of the software system he has to work with and he was especially patient with me and cognizant of the time constraints I'd dedicated to this necessary adventure. He entertained every lame question and gave me an answer based on an encyclopedic knowledge of his products and pricing. He arranged for me pick up some very difficult to locate hardware at a store near where I live and completed the entire transaction at his end so that all I had to do was pick the item up. Donnavan is not only an asset to Verizon/Victra, but his genuine concern for his clients combined with a pleasant personality, professional demeanor, and great sense of humor made the entire experience seamless, productive and enjoyable. If you have to travel a bit extra to get to this store, it is well worth it. Rude service. Wanted to upgrade to iPhone 13 so went back to this store where I'd purchased my first smart phone. At the time, the sales associate, Amanda, was very helpful and patient--I was hoping she was still at this location. This visit, however, I could see through the glass walls three sales associates lounging around in the store--no customers. There was a lock on the door much like jewelry stores where it appeared I needed to be buzzed in. One associate gestured to me to come in--I pulled the door (marked "pull") but couldn't get in. This happened a few times--none of the associates came to help open the door. When I was finally able to enter, none of the associates greeted or welcomed me. (I can only assume their rudeness was due to some type of discrimination: ageism, racism, or misanthropy.) No iPhone 13's were in stock so I placed an order, which should arrive in 3-4 days. If I could give zero stars I would. Came in to pick up an iPad that I ordered 1/24..was supposed to be "ready for pick up" at this incompetent store on 1/25. It wasn't. I chose the express pick up option because I thought it would be quicker than having it express delivered. I was so wrong. I gave it until 1/26, called customer service first and attempted calling the store as well. The store doesn't answer the phone. I drive to the store because this was supposed to be an "EXPRESS PICKUP". Freddy who works at this location had a non chalant attitude from the beginning. I give my name and advise I'm picking up my iPad that I already paid for. Simple, right? He looks the order up and says it's under a different name. I ask do you need my order number? He says No. He goes to the back for 15 -20 minutes, comes back and says "it's processing" by then, I've been sitting in the store for almost a half an hour. He says he doesn't know how long it will take me to get the iPad. I remind him it was supposed to be ready the day before via "express pickup" so it's actually late. I asked for the reason why. No reaction, no sense of urgency, no apology, no desire to get it right or figure out why it's not ready. He said It could be "anywhere from five minutes to an hour to be ready he doesn't know, have a good day ma'am ". Basically telling me to leave. Mind you he hasn't asked me for my ID, my credit card that I paid with or my order number so at this point I voiced my frustration because he gave NO REASON for the delay and didn't even pretend to act like he was trying to confirm I was the correct customer for pickup. Also, the store was completely empty this entire time( approx 3:55 pm:4:50pm) There were no other customers. I was there over an hour , the only customer in the store. After I explained my frustration he put his district manager, "Jay"on the phone to essentially tell me the same nonsense in the same patronizing "I don't care" tone as Freddy. I stepped outside briefly to make sure my car wasn't being towed as the parking is only allowed for 60 minutes. Jay offered no new information. I guess he was just there to run his mouth and parrot whatever the non- worker Freddy said. I go back into the store and wait another 20 minutes. Finally, Freddie asked me for my ID (after me being there over an hour), then he asked for my PIN number, which I thought employees at Verizon didn't do. I'm still waiting. Update: After an hour, Freddy with the "I don't care" attitude gives me my iPad and fake apologizes in an "I don't care tone." The lack of competence and ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS at this store is astounding. Especially given that there were NO OTHER CUSTOMERS IN THE STORE FOR THE HOUR THAT I WAS THERE.. what do these employees actually do? They definitely don't fill simple orders on time, and then they act like I inconvenienced them by coming in myself. Unbelievable . Verizon might as well shut this store down. I sent it back and they accused me of not sending back the phone I bought from them and they accused me of committing fraud. Terrible experience at this store. I bought a brand new iPhone 13 max pro. Phone could make calls one day then wouldn't work the next day. This happened repeatedly for a week. I Spent over 5 hours of time over 3 visits to the store speaking with very incompetent employees who couldn't care less about the customer. Do not use this store. Please use an authorized Verizon corporate dealer. Corporate fixed my phone in a matter of minutes. read more

ZERO STARS. Scammed out of $100, wasted time going back 4 times because they kept changing their story, and had to spend more time on the phone with the real Verizon to sort out the mess this place made! TLDR: Go to a corporate Verizon stores. Like the other reviews say, you've been warned. Shady business practices: 1. It's an "authorized retailer" but there's no signage, inside or out, that says they are really Victra. The outside makes it looks like a legit corporate Verizon store which is deceiving. 2. Donnavan, the store manager, appears helpful...until you realize he doesn't tell you all the details until you've already paid, then charges you to process the return. He hits the buttons on the credit card processor until the signature section so you don't know what you're signing...then later references on the printed receipt that you signed/agreed to it. 3. When asked to speak to his supervisor, he says he can't give out that number and doesn't know his supervisor Eric's last name. (Who knows if Eric is really his first name.) 4. Donnavan says he'll talk to his supervisor directly and tells me to return the next day, which I do, only to be told by another employee that Donnavan is absent for the next 2 days for training. (So why'd he tell me to return the next day?) But the employee tells me Donnavan said to return on Saturday and that Donnavan would then process a full refund. I returned on Saturday and Donnavan says his supervisor denied the refund. 5. When I returned that Saturday, the store should have already been opened for an hour, but the door was locked. Donnavan opened the door for me. There were no other customers during the time I was there. When I tried to leave, I realized the door was locked again from the outside. (Maybe he forgot to open it the first time when the store should have opened, but why didn't he leave it unlocked after letting me in?) I later went to a corporate Verizon store and they told me they get a lot of complaints from customers who go to authorized retailers. read more

Sketchy sales tactics. Add "fees" right at the end when you're about to make the purchase at the counter Suggest going to the actual Verizon store so you don't get ripped off/over charged. Avoid at all costs. read more

The worst experience with a Verizon I have ever had. I ordered online for next day pickup and they sold the device before I came to pick up the phone. Now I'm stuck without a phone for another week because of the incompetence of the people that work at this store. Please avoid this store at ALL costs. It's not an actual Verizon store. It's an "authorized retailer" - so that's the first thing they lied to me about. I went in needing to upgrade my phone. They told me that they were having a buy one get one iphone at an extremely discounted rate. Another lie. I went back a few weeks later, and they quoted me a higher price for the discounted phone. Fine, whatever. I went ahead and went for the deal because it was still a pretty good price. They charged an "activation" fee for BOTH phones. They offered to activate my phone for me, which I thought was nice. It literally was just setting up the iPhone, following the prompts when you first turn on the phone. Then syncing the phone. Everyone was nice at the store. After I paid, the rep asked me to write a good review for him. He told me their reviews were trashed from previous management. I went home and looked thoroughly over the bill because I was suspicious of the high price. That's when I found the activation fee! I went back to ask for a refund, but they told me they couldn't do anything for me since they DID activate my phone. So anyway, here is your review. I feel totally taken advantage of by this store and their employees. Please do not go here. Go to an ACTUAL verizon store, with actually knowledgeable representatives. read more

Very Disappointed with the service manager here. I am an apple and Verizon customer for 10 years. I upgraded my phone and got pushed out the store with an android tablet that I was told was free with my new phone purchase. It wasn't don't forget those activation charges of $40 for a table coaster. You guys suck! Also Verizon has no record of the I Phone 6 I traded in for a $200 credit against new IPhone 8. I came into the store because my phone was stolen last night. Ash and Casey were working and were extremely accommodating and helpful. I had no idea what steps needed to be taken to obtain my new phone, but they helped me go through each step to determine the most cost efficient option. This store is also in a great location with easy parking. It seems the other negative reviews may be based on whoever was working, but ash and casey were great. read more
