The reservation system worked very well for me. Minimum wait. Jamie exchanged my modem very quickly and efficiently. Provided all new cables just to make it all fresh. Unfortunately that modem was faulty, so I returned same day and Amhari was very helpful. Both were sorry I had to return. But the quality of the product is not their fault. Amhari noticed I was paying $109 and found a way to knock about $50 off by adding another product to get a new bundle.. Thank you Amhari. Happy to say I now have my internet back and my phone, and a new service too. I did notice that they also sell cell phones. We all know how much time it takes to sign up a new phone. I have never seen a more disorganized queue in my life. It has even made extreme disorganized lines for food at Russian beach raves seem like smooth operating organized utopias in comparison. The people working looked and seemed extremely unhappy to be there and I don't blame them. After my little time-travel experience, I finally get to the counter, pay $90 -- covering the past 15 days and the next 15 days -- and ever so politely tell the gentleman I'd like to end service at the end of the billing cycle. Simple, right? Straightforward. Should be hard to mess up. But oh, silly me. I forgot I was dealing with Spectrum "specialists." Because what happens next? Bam -- internet cut off instantly. Didn't even make it home before being ghosted by my own WiFi. And then -- get ready for it -- when I return to kindly point out this little hiccup, I get hit with the most glorious line: "You didn't tell me." Ah, of course. My mistake. I should've known I needed to submit a notarized letter, carrier pigeon, and perhaps a blood sacrifice to make a simple request understood. Now let's talk about the "specialist." What was he special in, exactly? Selective hearing? Advanced shrugging? Olympic-level blame deflection? I wish I could give less than one star. Our internet went down last week. It turned out that a Spectrum wire had been chewed by a squirrel and they needed to run new wire from our house to the pole. But after replacing their wire, our internet was still down. Over 2 days, they sent out 3 different teams as each team claimed what was needed took a different department. In the process of trying to find the problem, they CUT the low voltage wire that we had installed that brought our internet service to our detached office. They refused to replace the wire as it is not part of their equipment. Now we have had to pay independent contractors to discover what they had done and to run a new wire. We lost 3 days of work without internet access and while waiting to get the wiring done are working with a a temporary work around. If you have them out, I strongly suggest you watch what they are doing every minute! read more

A technician installed the modem and router in my house, and within 24 hours I had a service disruption with no explanation, and my phone line got somehow deactivated. I use my phone number for my business and for 3 days in a now I couldn't make or receive any calls. The phone customer service had an hour wait, so I decided to visit the Marina del Rey store after the first 24 hours of this nightmare. Only to experience the worst service by some of the rudest people anyone could hire. As I walked in and signed up to receive assistance, I was welcomed by a rude young person who dismissed me by informing me that all I could do is calling the customer service. Instead, I walked across the street, where I saw a TMobile store. I had Tmobile as my carrier before moving to LA and I remember what an excellent service I had with them. And as I expected, the treatment I received from Tmobile was AMAZING. The associate I talked to at the store not only helped me contacting Spectrum so I could get my phone up and running (he patiently called on my behalf waiting on the phone for 45 minutes) - but he also was able to switch my phone line to Tmobile and released me from this nightmare called Spectrum internet and mobile. Another associate decided to chime in and told the other associate we shouldn't be doing this. He decides to look up the hours for UPS AS HE THINKS HES BEING HELPFUL! He could have taken back the equipment but instead redirects me to UPS and tells me, they have a much easier process! Driving to Anaheim and frequenting Disneyland is irrelevant b/c every time you deal with anything to do with Spectrum, you are reminded what a "Mickey Mouse" amateur operation they operate (sorry Mickey). I'm forced to use their internet in my complex, but this past March, after a death in the family and losing my business to bankruptcy after it never rebounded from the Covid lockdowns, I thought getting Spectrum Sports Net and watching my boy LAbron and the Lakers a couple times a week would be therapeutic for the soul. My father, 83 and retired living in Ohio, also likes the Lakers so he was going to get the NBA package and that way we could bond watching 3,000 miles apart as well. Now I assumed getting the best sports package on the Spectrum App, would give me access to Spectrum Sports Net, so click click boom....but folks, this is where you have to realize, this is Spectrum, they suck. Come to find out, Spectrum doesn't have Spectrum Sports Net! Haha, and why would they!? The company's name is only Spectrum........BUT guess who does carry it on their streaming app!? DirecTV. So once I find this out, I call to cancel Spectrum TV, sternly explain to their rep that I don't want the BS cancel speech that will offer me a landline, mobile phone line, etc., I want to cancel the Spectrum TV app, I had for 21 days, keep my internet as it was and go on with the day. After 30 mins on the phone with the worst trained sales rep I've ever heard trying to overcome objections, I had already signed up with DirecTV and was literally watching the Lakers on Spectrum Sports Net through DirectTV. Why!? B/c Spectrum doesn't have Spectrum Sports Net! It's honestly hysterical and pathetic that this is factual. The rep finally says she's going to give me $5 off my internet a month for the inconvenience and we are done. So I think.......well, this week I finally checked my bill and see that she gave me $5 off a month, but kept the $80+ a month "Minor League" "Peter Pan" Spectrum TV app active, taking advantage of my checking account the same as before. I won't bore you with much more, but after 90 minutes on the phone yesterday you know what I received as consolation? They let me cancel. Oh, and a refund maybe? This afternoon I walked into the store and as I walked up to the empty desk, I was told by Chris to go back and put my name in the que and sit down even though he was not helping anyone. A gentleman walks in after me without an appointment and walks up to Chris, Chris does not ask him to go back and make an appointment or sit down but helps him, after twenty minutes of waiting Chris calls me up and I ask him why did he ask me to go sit down and make an appointment but when the gentleman walks in after me he helps him and doesn't ask him to make an appointment, his response is "Well I'm helping you now aren't I."
