The parking here makes me want to kill myself. There are a ton of meters, but TWC is nestled amongst a ton of studios/offices. A lot of the meters are for like, 10 hours, so of course people working 9-5 park there. There's a small stack of short-term parking and the rest is permitted. WORST SERVICE EVER! I have had horrible Cable Service for 8 mos with the picture and audio dropping out, pixelating of the screen etc. I have called and called and had at least 4 service technicians come out having to take off work to get this problem fixed! My appointment to have my new HD box hooked up was between 1-2 PM on Tuesday. A nice man named Juan came right at 1 and installed it. He answered all my questions very patiently. The picture on my TV is now the best I have ever seen. 2001: A Space Odyssey looked even better on it then it did when I saw it in a theater a few years ago. I have to say, however, that the box, a Magnavox, doesn't show the current channel on it so you have to press the Info button on the remote to see it but I suppose this is a fairly minor issue. Time Warner Cable is one of those companies that deserve a special place in hell. If that statement is not a recommendation enough for you to stay away from this so-called internet and cable service provider then perhaps my history with them will. I had TWC when I lived in the Beverly Hills area a few years ago, their service was interrupted sometime in the Christmas to New Years time frame. Imagine having to go through the holidays without TV and internet. My mother was then promised that there would be a credit on her account for the weeks of outage. That came to less than $20.00 when we got our bill. I switched my family then to ATT U-Verse. After some time we moved closer to Westwood. Unfortunately the area did not have ATT U-Verse available so my family was forced to switch to TWC. After a year of adequate service they decided to upgrade their systems but without repeatedly pronouncing the upgrade beforehand to us their customers. We had several weeks of interrupted service for which we only figured out afterwards was due to the upgrade. Since I was the one paying them this time around, I got them to agree to cut my next bill by a significant amount over the phone. But lo and behold TWC added in some fees and tariffs in the bill to more than make up for the credit. But what really caught my ire was that this company had the galls to say they were billing me in advance for the next months worth of service. If you switch to TWC all you will ever get from this company is PISS-POOR SERVICE and HIGH-QUALITY MONEY-GRUBBING CAPTALIST-PIG-SHIT!!! Yes this is my anger talking... I have to recommend that no sane person should ever switch to this company. In the future any apartment moves I make will be accompanied by a query to either ATT-Uverse or Verizon Fios to see if they provide service in the area. If all that is available in an area is TWC then I will not move to that area. Why must a person fight to get what he wants with this company. Youtube videos I've seen of this company are all negative. The people in them complain with two or three calls spending two or three hours on getting service because they were hung up at least by their first call. I agree. Management doesn't train very well. TWC thrives on the cheap which obviously makes them the straggler of the technological race that has become our era. Also, TWC should just service those people who need service right away if they were going eventually anyway. That way they could have more satisfied customers. Also, I got charged a late fee! because the website didn't make its recurring payment conditions obvious. You must!!! pay for the month you before recurring payment settles for the next month. This they did not make obvious anywhere. For this, I got a phone call every week at 7 am while on break. IF I didn't answer the first time, I was called again. Waited in line for and HOUR to return my modem and cancel their terrible service. In that time, they helped 3 customers. I walked from the store without returning the modem, I will have to go back on a day when I can sacrifice more of my life to their sorry excuse for customer service. I'd rather be at the dmv. Honestly, I had a great experience here. I know twc customer service tends to be frustrating, but this local store made it up for me. Went there at 10am on Saturday, waited less than10 min, turned in my modem, got a new one, left with a big smile in less then 20 min. Come early in the morning on Saturday to avoid the line then all will be well. The workers were actually really friendly and easy going. Shout out to the guy who commutes from yorba linda! I gave it 2 stars because there's parking. It was 3 of us waiting for the store to open and a rep walks up and we didn't get a good morning we got " I'm the only one here right now so you'll have to be patient". After making sure to take a look at her name tag it was Charise. If she is a manager she definitely needs to go to some kind of training and learn how to have patience and show great customer service. The lady in front of me had a death certificate to close out someone's account and Charise basically was so rude to her after telling her there was a balance. The lady told her this isn't my debt and Charise continued to tell her well it needs to get paid somehow. Anywho, with me, I had an old account where I need to return a box and close out an account. I did have the address but not the zip code she proceeding to smack her lips and say well then I dont know. THANKFULLY I still had the receipt from returning the box in Torrance where I also didn't have the zip code nor the address but they were happy to find it out. Moral of this review is someone needs to desperately have a talk with this woman. We should feel comfortable coming in there and if you dont like the job you're in then move on. read more

Terrible experience, long time TW customer, have been paying for 300 speed internet for well over a year, which was very slow and I just figured that was the speed, as I am not an expert on these things; last week I wanted to change my services because of a surprise price hike and called in.....the agent told me that I should keep my 300 speed internet, and I replied that I really didn't see a change in it when I switched and it was always slow, and he thought that is weird and should have it checked out. turns out that the modem was faulty the whole time and they changed it, but I paid for over 12 months +++ of 300 speed which I did not receive. Spectrum CS said they can only reimburse me a few days since they switched the modem out. So they robbed me of over a year's worth of paying high speed that I did not receive. Time Warner. Not good. I booked an appointment for a move. They called the day prior to the appointment to confirm. They then never showed up. When I called to find out what had happened, they were VERY apologetic; they said someone entered the original appointment into their system wrong, causing the appointment to be canceled. They then offered me a reschedule more than a WEEK later! I questioned this timing given that they acknowledged the mistake as entirely their own. But they said there was nothing they could do. I explained that, for medical reasons, I need to have phone (or at least internet access) from my home. They promised to look into options and get back to me the next day. They never got back to me. I heart Verizon. They heard my predicament and got everything sorted out in less than 24 hours. Ugh. I just realized there is no option for ZERO stars here. That's what they deserve. read more

Signed up for Time Warner cable/internet. Paid by cc over the phone and waited three hours on installation day for the cable guy to show. After he left I could not get anything to work. I called Time Warner and they imperiously informed me that there was a previous "unresolved" account at my address with either (depending on who one spoke to) a $155, $269, $300 or $425 balance owing and therefore no new service could be initiated. They actually suggested that I pay the previous tenant's bill. I said come get your damn boxes and give me my money back. They said returning my money was "a process" that would take some time. Mad? I've actually had to file with the BBB. I have Autopay, but TWC has charged me late fees and have sent me messages via automated service that my account is delinquent. When I call billing, they always admit it's their fault, but are still hopelessly unable to do anything about it. TWC's response to my BBB complaint was swift though totally strange (see below numbered list), and the end result was not what was promised. Here's my rebuttal to BBB: "I was pleased with the resolution promised, but: 1.It did not come to fruition. Upon calling the TWC office, I learned via the automated system that I have been charged 193.78-2 months at ONCE- and only given a $96.89 credit, not the 101 promised or the $0 balance promised later in the call from the president's office. 2. [name deleted], the supervisor to whom I spoke on 6/10, noted that there was still a late fee of 4.75 on my account. I have autopay. (HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?) 3. $20 credit promised by the supervisor to whom I spoke earlier in June (6th?) was never applied. Tangentially, the man to whom I spoke at the president's office didn't seem to understand how the issue originally occurred AND he noted that he lives in my neighborhood, which is frightening. [Name deleted], the 6/10 rep, told me I was 'jumping to conclusions' when I said 'The automated msg said a $90--some-odd credit was given. Can you give me the exact amount?' Jumping to conclusions is saying I've illogically come to a conclusion with no evidence. The evidence came from the automated message at TWC. He tried transferring me to banking services since nobody seems to know when I get charged each month and [the rep] hung up. This is poor and borderline scary service." read more

I dealt with these guys before on another property and I had to deal with them again. Time Warner Cable is the worst. It started with their idiot installer, Daniel, who tacked up cable all over the walls of my house. My main problem with him was that he was too snooty to pick up those sharp rounded staples that he dropped everywhere. I have white tile floors and I didn't see the white staple on the floor. I ended stepping on one while he was there because Time Warner evidently either hires complete fools or doesn't train their employees on how to work in someones furnished house. I didn't want to get upset with him, because just trying to get to talk to someone at this infernal company through their water board like phone tree is nearly impossible. I felt that if I told this big baby cable installer anything, like to clean up after himself, he might walk out in a huff and I wouldn't have my TV set up. And have the privilege of paying $150 a month for crappy TV. Who gives this company a license to do work? The city, the government? Who? They are horrible. These guys are the absolute lowest. Because this Bozo, Daniel, never came back to finish like he said he would, it took me nearly a week to reach a person at this horrible company to even schedule completing the service installation. I finally have service but the remotes don't work properly. The worst part of this company isn't the incompetent losers they have dropping dangerous cable debris in my house, it is how difficult it is to reach anyone and have them show up for their scheduled appointment. I had a horrible experience at this Time Warner location. The woman helping me, Aru, was completely incompetent. I was switching my cable boxes and she decided to just completely deactivate our whole account and not tell us, leaving us cable-less for days while we tried to figure it out. We were also switching the names on the account, so I came in with the previous account holder and we told her we needed to change the names and she apparently didn't put it in the system that we did so, and messed everything else up. Long story short she should not be working there. I plan on switching cable companies as soon as I possibly can. This was not the only issue we have had with Time Warner. read more

This place is the absolute worst. They have never been transparent with me in my billing or services. They have randomly raised the price of my bill without any warning, and when I call them to inquire about it they always act very annoyed. The physical store location has been equally bad for me. Time Warner Cable continues to be a company that, while charging premium pricing for it's services, offers a poor quality of technology, and even worse, horrible customer service. For months, my Video on Demand has not functioned properly; more than half the time I start to watch a program, the picture starts disintegrating (pixilating) and the sound goes out. This happens on a number of TV programs, as well as movies. Two technicians have been sent out, and the last one said the problem was not the cable box but an "internal Time Warner issue that is being worked on." He did not replace the cable box. That was 2 months ago. Obviously, TW hasn't fixed the problem. The ONLY apparent (but temporary) fix is to call TW, wade thru the phone menu, finally get a real person, explain the problem (yet again) and they will then "shoot a signal" out to the box. If I am lucky, it works for that evening, but it does not last. Tonight VOD was not working again, so I called TW and spoke with a "Joy" and expressed my frustration yet again at the continuing problem. She shot a signal over and it is working for the moment. When I then advised her I needed the number for the TW business office to call on Monday, explaining that I was going to ask for a deduction on my bill, she could provide NO number for me. This is customer service and support? When I then asked for a supervisor, she advised she couldn't find one, but offered to send another technician out. When I explained the technicians cannot fix the issue (by their own admission) she finally put me on hold, and then "John" the supervisor came on. When I repeated the continuing problems with my VOD, his answer was "You know, technology does not work all of the time." His answer was so poor it was almost comical, but it was not amusing, or professional. To make matters worse, he was barely audible over the phone. When I advised him of this, he asked for my number (didn't he already have it at his fingertips?) and said he would call me back. That was an hour ago, and no call. From a supervisor who KNEW he had an unhappy client on the line, and who works for a company that professes to offer good customer service and a great little feature called Video on Demand.. I wanted to make the switch to Time Warner because it offers better Internet in our area, and I made it clear to them that I wanted to retain channel 18.2. We were getting the feed from an off-air antenna on the roof. Two representatives prior to the installation assured me that they offered the channels. Sure enough when the technician came, he informed us that it was not available. This was definitely a setback but I felt that with the off air antenna, I could use something like Tivo get the feed. Fine idea but... The installation tech cut all of the wires from the off air antenna, and replaced the original antenna cord going into the house with a Time Warner Cable. He also cut the wires going into a bedroom so we could no longer receive a Direct TV feed. He never informed us that he was going to do so. Time Warner basically said tough, and would not restore the originally connections. No one would return my calls, and did not even bother to record my complaint in their system. I had to call another television technician to restore my service at considerable expense. I also had put in an order to port my number, which was a huge mistake. They insisted that it will take ten business days to do so, and they could not cancel or make changes to my contract until the port takes place. Time Warner sucks. I was charged for a modem that I returned with a proof receipt number. TW could not locate the modem. I went ahead and paid the balance because I didn't want to screw up my credit by having the bill go to a collection agency. Awful service. They change the prices at seemingly random intervals - and always up. They lie about the service that's available, and lie and lie. They told me several months ago that 100mbs internet was available - evidently now only 50mbs is available (and naturally at a substantially increased price). I have an ipad and the twc tv app on it and as of today they tell me that I can't watch any channels because I'm on wifi and need to be home. And there are other users. I am home, on my home, twc wifi, no one else using it. Avoid them like the plague. Get Dish or Direct TV if you can (bad as they are - TWC is way worse). read more

Never thought I'd write a favorable comment about Time Warner but here it is. I switched from a DSL Extreme a rip off company if there ever was one. A bunch of lying, incompetent thieves. Thievery is what they are good at. Time Warner showed up on time. The install well not great, but they came back and made it right. I have speeds twice as fast but more importantly consistent and less expensive. I am able to do streaming of movies without the interruptions and hiccups I had with DSL Extreme. So far so good. They aren't perfect thats why only 4 stars but I am happy. BTW they are finally listening to their customer and going through a change in corporate culture attitude toward customer has changed - a good thing for us. read more

Honestly, so sad I had to go back to TW since Uverse isn't offered at my new place. My bill has increased a few times and it's only been 10 months, with no new services. The promotional 12 months is not up and this never happened with Uverse. My recordings were being deleted and/or not recorded all this time. I thought it was a hiccup, would call to reset box, go a few days, and it would happen yet again. We would watch a show and it would disappear as we were watching it. Tech said whoever initially installed never added a filter (why the heck not?), hence the neighbors had access to my dvr and were deleting for the last 10 months. Customer service told me if tech was even a minute late (outside of their window) I would get a $20 credit. They didn't want to honor this because their notes said I called during the 2-3pm window. I called at 2:40 wondering where he was, he arrived at 3:08pm. In the past two days I have gotten 5 calls from TW and called them about the same amount of times. One person transfers me to fix billing, billing says they can't fix it until the tech fixes the issue, call to get credit and they argue with me about that he wasn't late. Ok I live in the 760 area code east of San Diego and after reading all of your posts about Time Warner I was like damn! others who are saying what I am thinking! We recently got time warner tv here and lets face it rabbit ears on an old 50's philco tv set would have been an improvement over what Time Warner has delivered so far. If the channels are not blurring beyond belief or dark with aweful sound the picture is bright blue or green. At first we thought it was the living room tv that was the problem but found all the tv's including friends and neighbors had the same problem. Whats more insulting is a local station reserved for Time Warner messages is the only crystal clear channel we get and that usually just flashes an office number which is always unanswered every few seconds along with ordering info to advertise non profit events. Coincidence that their channel is the only one to never go out? I think not. All I can say is you better stock up on ky jelly because you are gonna be bending over to take it for months if not years to come from them. read more

The worst cable service I've ever had. Didn't get half the channels we paid for, customer service was terrible, they took 6 different trips out to install the cable in the first place. It was all bad. Can't believe I held out for six months with this god awful service, all the while being mocked by the "caring" TMC T.V. commercials that haunted every channel.
