When you come here make absolutely sure you sign in on the kiosk by the door. I been here before so I sorta knew that. It's fun to watch people come here and walk to the desk to only be told to go sign in. There was only 1 person in front of me. 4 workers each with a client. Each worker after they are done with their customers they all have to walk into the back room and stay there for 5-10 mins even though they have more customers waiting. Then they come out and talk with each other for a bit before calling the next person in line. If you're here on a lunch break I'd recommend planning ahead. I do believe they have appointments available. Just to drop off equipment it took me over a half hour and that's with one person in front of me. Dealing with the worker was super easy. Pleasant attitude and the whole process was done in 5 mins. So there's a plus there. Moral of the story plan ahead and come when you have the time or patience. read more

Yelp should have negative scores of only for this place! The staff is wholly incompetent and has "specialists " that don't know much about the products. In this case cell phones. My wife and I decided to upgrade our iPhones from i13s to i16s. [[HIGHLIGHT]]After waiting over an hour, we were greeted by a guy named Mark. He never listened to us when we said we had limited knowledge of the phones other than the everyday uses.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Well he ordered us refurbished phones instead of new ones. A few days later, we brought the new ones in to have our data transferred from our old phones to the new ones. After an hour and a half, mission accomplished. A few hours later I get a call from Spectrum informing us that they sent us the wrong phones. Then more trouble ensued as one of the wrong one's data would not erase. Back to this place to have them do it. After over 2 hours of waiting, I get a guy who doesn't know iPhones. He's an Android guy sai one of his fellow employees. Wonderful! He said I should speak to another agent. [[HIGHLIGHT]]But now my name disappeared from the waiting list. I waited until one of the two agents was finished with a client (another 15 minutes). As I approached, he gave me a mean stare and walked right past me.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I left at that point. This place is ill managed and has zero customer service. This is nothing against the location, but with Spectrums design in general. This has to be the most purposefully cumbersome business to deal with by design. Interesting that they will just lower the cost willy nilly when someone wants to leave. Well, it is at least better than the previous incarnations on Circular St. and West Ave. It's a new building, it's big, it's spacious, and it's high-tech, but does that make it efficient? Well..... I had to bring my mom here for some paperwork that had to be done on site. Entering, there is this big "sign in here" tablet that greets you. I also saw at least 6 customer service kiosks, of which about half had no customers at them. So we walked towards these... "Did you sign in?" Ugh. Back to the tablet. I tapped "English," and nothing happened. I tapped again, still nothing. I then tried tapping "Espanol," other spots on the tablet, and some button on the side, but the screen would not change to a sign-in screen. So I had to walk back over to the customer service rep at the still customer-free kiosk and say we could not sign in. I have no idea what he did to advance the screen, but at least we could sign in. I wonder if they use their own software for this? Then we had to wait in a customer area while the still not busy service reps went through their motions for a few minutes before finally calling on my mother. Thankfully, the gentleman who worked with us was really good. He was patient with my mother, who didn't always get the technology correct in her explanations, and he went through things thoroughly... sometimes multiple times in multiple iterations, because it didn't always work the first time. I wonder if they use their own software here too? This is an internet providing company, right? We did get the paperwork processed with a lot less hassle than it took to sign in and get called. I'm willing to re-evaluate the experience here the next time we visit, but honestly, I'm hoping we don't have to for a while. read more

If I could post a negative star rating I absolutely would. I have literally been three hours just to PICK UP a modem. THREE HOURS, to pick up equipment!!! They had three employees when I came in, one disappeared in the back and never returned. One is a young guy helping a couple, which is not a problem but during the time the couples phones were transferring data the kid just sat there sipping his coffee, and on his cell phone. Obviously NOT a multitasker. Lastly, the only man that was working was doing his best, but it was obviously a slow process. Numerous people had enough and left. I would have left if I wasn't already here for as long as I have been. This is the biggest train wreck malignant institution I have ever had the misfortune of being forced to endure. I'm new to the area, had I known spectrum customer service was this horrific, I would have NEVER signed up. It's obnoxious how malignant this company is, and how deplorable the employees are. I went to the Spectrum store in Wilton in front of Aldi. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I signed in on the kiosk. I got there early but was not in the first group. I knew I was next on the list and when I saw someone leave I was ready to be called. They called someone else.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I let out with a very audible protest. [[HIGHLIGHT]]A guy who knew I was next did correct it but the representative I went to didn't apologize.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I said something to her and she got nasty and defensive. The problem with Spectrum isn't their facility, it's the $$$ they're wasting on trying to be too many services for too many people. We're paying for trashy videos on their streaming service that we never watch, hundreds of cable channels that show endless reruns of the same old stuff, and hundreds of millions of dollars on network advertising. They simply don't offer good value for the money. On top of which they've been accused of unfair labor practices in several major cities, particularly when they took over Time-Warner's business. Every year the price creeps up and all we get for it is more unwanted material and advertising. I'd love to cut the cord, but I'm stuck dealing with a monopoly. Service was terrible in several regards. 1. Check-in line managing software went down. This in and of itself isn't an issue, however they neglected to inform everyone of said issue and let the line list continue building. Not only did they not communicate the check in system being down, they encouraged people coming in to continue using the system that doesn't work. Being a tech store it shouldn't be outlandish to print out a paper simply stating "our line managing software is down, please still log in but the list of names may be inaccurate" and put it on/next to the log in tablet. 2. Few chairs and the wait times were atrocious. Over 20 people in the store and it took over 2 hours to have someone service us. They attributed it to "if you set an appointment then you skip the line" but this train of thought just leads one to wonder "why don't I just call the main company line so I don't have to wait at all OR leave my house." 3. Upon asking about the wait and vocalizing our (several people were shirked by the "appointments take priority" policy) frustrations, we were given a hand wave away with "should have set an appointment, that way you don't have to deal with this." 4. The wait times were even joked about by the employees with "sometimes the time is longer than the DMV." If that's the case perhaps it might be worth hiring more employees for peak days of the week. Overall, if you can handle your issue online or over the phone, do so. The service will be comparable if not better in the comfort of your own home. read more

Terrible. Just terrible. If you have to go to the Spectrum store - plan on sitting there for an hour or more. You can make an appt but you still have a loooong wait because they are understaffed. The first time I went was to exchange a defective box. I got there at 10:00 when they opened. I didn't get out until 11:30. There were actually 3 employees there, and two were kept busy with customer after customer and I waited and waited. The other one ignored us. Today I just stopped in to return a defective modem. It was boxed and I only had to get a receipt. There were two employees. One buzzed around and never waited on anyone, just ignored them. The other was kept so busy that I left after 30 minutes and will take the box to a UPS store. I'm not very happy with the band width of streaming at home. Sometimes in the middle of watching Netflix, Prime, any streaming program it disconnects me or keeps trying to reload. Their prices keep going up and up. Spectrum needs some competition. I'm going to dump the package and get a tv antenna and just use streaming. read more

Who knew subscribing to internet would be as painful as going to the DMV. After you sign in to their queue, there is no indication as to how long the wait is at all. Each of the employees had a lack luster and borderline irritated demeanor. Based on this, paying customers are seen as just a bunch of cattle. Good job Spectrum. read more
