    One star is for the fact that the new space is large enough to spread out and sit-and wait....to just return equipment. Spectrum continues to be the bane of my existence and I continue to be massively underwhelmed by every facet of their "service".

    Well, it is at least better than the previous incarnations on Circular St. and West Ave. It's a new building, it's big, it's spacious, and it's high-tech, but does that make it efficient? Well..... I had to bring my mom here for some paperwork that had to be done on site. Entering, there is this big "sign in here" tablet that greets you. I also saw at least 6 customer service kiosks, of which about half had no customers at them. So we walked towards these... "Did you sign in?" Ugh. Back to the tablet. I tapped "English," and nothing happened. I tapped again, still nothing. I then tried tapping "Espanol," other spots on the tablet, and some button on the side, but the screen would not change to a sign-in screen. So I had to walk back over to the customer service rep at the still customer-free kiosk and say we could not sign in. I have no idea what he did to advance the screen, but at least we could sign in. I wonder if they use their own software for this? Then we had to wait in a customer area while the still not busy service reps went through their motions for a few minutes before finally calling on my mother. Thankfully, the gentleman who worked with us was really good. He was patient with my mother, who didn't always get the technology correct in her explanations, and he went through things thoroughly... sometimes multiple times in multiple iterations, because it didn't always work the first time. I wonder if they use their own software here too? This is an internet providing company, right? We did get the paperwork processed with a lot less hassle than it took to sign in and get called. I'm willing to re-evaluate the experience here the next time we visit, but honestly, I'm hoping we don't have to for a while.

    Another day of confusion and disorganization...at least i knew to sign in at the little kiosk this time...the little kiosk is ez to miss when you walk in...Then you watch the uninformed patrons walking in and standing in an imaginary line waiting for help that will never come...ultimately I have to say something to them like..." Did you sign in Ol' BUd?...My clerk kept hollaring out the name of the lady she just waited on prior to turning her attention to me. ...I was turning in equipment and downgrading service..( They dont like that)..she pressed me to get cell service, I declined, You should heard her slam the stuff into a big plastic bin for reuse. "BANG crash"...went the equipment...what a Karen.

    I've contacted customer service a couple times in the past few weeks. Both times they said a…read moreknowledgeable technician would call me back within forty eight hours. In both instances, that call didn't come within forty eight hours. My most recent call back was six days later and came while I was not sitting in front of my computer where I needed to be to solve the issue. Fidium replaced Consolidated and Consolidated replaced Fairpoint for me. Both previous iterations were more competent.

We had lines come down in a storm and all Fidium users in the neighborhood have been without internet for a week and counting. The downed lines are also blocking a street so nobody can drive that way. (By contrast, the power company arrived within hours and fixed all their downed lines). You don't suffer spotty service the way you will with regular internet (which is great!), but when your fiber is down, it's DOWN for days or weeks. I've been tethering to my cell phone, another neighbor is going to the library every day for internet. I'd recommend Fidium for anyone who uses internet primarily for entertainment as it's great for streaming, but Fidium is not reliable enough for people who really need the internet every day for work or school and can't afford to be without service for long periods of time.

    This is the worse. Spectrum sucks. I went there today with 3 bad remote controllers. I signed in…read more The manager was walking by and I said I just need to swap these controllers for some that work. He said I can't do that. We have to go into the system and put it in there. I told him I was in a rush and was just there on my lunch. He didn't give a shit. He went over and played twitch a tv. Now there was a lady worker with 2 people just sitting there talking and laughing. Meanwhile instead of helping getting the line down the manager went into the back room. Now I have 8 people ahead of me. There was 1 other worker and he got up and went in the back room. Now we have 1 worker the lady still talking and laughing with no people getting helped. One guy was there to pay his bill but no one was there to help him so he said fuck this and walked out. Final after a 45 minute wait the one guy comes back and calls me over. I told him I needed replacement controllers. He said no problem and handed me 3 controllers. I told him these aren't the right ones. He told me that is all we have. So after a 50 minute wait I y told kim to keep the wrong ones. Oh, and the lady worker is still there bullshitting and laughing with 10 people waiting to be taken care of. The store is a joke. If the equipment wasn't so shitty it wouldn't break down so often. People were bitching and you would think that the manager would have helped or told the lady worker to take care of some but we wouldn't have want to disturb her conversation. All I can say is Fuck them.

    I pay for whole home, internet, cable, landline and 3 cellphone. I can not get the internet,…read morelandline or cable to work. Today C/S states they are doing repairs. Yesterday it was my equipment. So what's the truth. Plus I have the worst resection for the cell. I pay about $300.00 a month for this great service. Taking all equipment back tomorrow, maybe only get internet service and the cells. My new bill would be about $100.00. That 200 X 12 = 2400.00 savings per year. And Spectrums loss
