Well, today at exactly 11:00 AM the entire neighborhood's fiber internet and TV died. No advance notice, no alert, no nothing. Dead silence from Spectrum while I'm in the middle of: - A make-or-break remote client presentation for work - Proctoring and submitting my final exams for my postgraduate degree Both crashed mid-session. Clients watching my screen freeze, exam software timing out and locking me out--total catastrophe. After wasting almost an hour trying to figure out what happened, I finally reach customer service. Instead of any apology or urgency about restoring their supposedly superior fiber network, the rep's genius solution was: "Have you tried connecting your laptop to your phone's hotspot? Would you like me to explain how to do that?" I'm on **fiber** that I pay a fortune for, it's YOUR job to keep it running, and your answer is to push me onto my cellular data (and act like I've never heard of tethering)? The tone was dripping with condescension, zero empathy, and outright rude when I asked for an ETA on the fix. They literally told me "these things happen" and kept pushing the phone hotspot nonsense. Spectrum, you charge fiber prices but deliver dial-up reliability and customer service that belongs in 1995. You turned one of the most important day of my academic and professional year into a nightmare, then mocked me for your failure. I'm done. So I got new equipment recently sent to my home and I needed to return the old equipment. I wish I was told that I could go to the UPS store right away because for two days in a row, these people want me to wait 40 minutes or more just to scan something and get a receipt. Talk about disorganization and wasting peoples times.. I was picking up equipment, and the young kid who waited on me gave me some instructions that were written in Spanish. I asked him if I could have English, please. he said, why? I said because I'm white and I speak English. He said you can see the pictures of how it's hooked up. Rates have doubled in the last 3 years. Rates started at $50. Rate increased to $93 a few months ago. Rate increased to $95 again on the next bill. Every few months the rate increase. The service goes down a many times a month. Very inconsistent service. Will switch the month new service is available in my area. Avoid Spectrum, if possible. read more

Got our internet and TV package installed this week. The Tech they sent was not very knowledgeable and took a very long time to install. Once installed it is working just fine with 450 mps on the download. They also have an app that allows you to stream TV channels which is pretty nice. read more

My wife went to this location today to get a phone for my 10-year-old son. She was trying to ask what they recommend and he was not very helpful. My wife was then having issues getting the phone due to getting marrried. We have been married four years now and i have never had an issue getting something replaced or to buy. Yerfur was her salesperson and he told her she needs to call customer care and explain what she needs. That should be his job as someone trying to sell a service. My wife stepped outside to make a call to this number and it took 2 minutes to complete. The lady on the phone was very nice and said she should be ok to go back inside to finish sale. However, my wife felt that Yerfur was not helpful or has no customer service skills, that she left and went to another location. This is a poor way to run a buisness. Taking care of your guest should be number one! Side note was they had phones to sell but said they don't have sim cards. What kind of half ass place is this? Spectrum has decided to upgrade my equipment. They sent two new boxes but one of them needs to connect with a coax connection. These only connect to HDMI. I got on their chat and verified that the new equipment doesn't connect to coax but I could go to a spectrum store and pick up a converter. So I took time today and my gas to go to their store. When I got there I am told they don't have those at the store. I am livid. So I drop off the old equipment and come home. I get on their chat and proceed to tell them about their misinformation. I tell them I want a tech to drop one off at my front door. They tell me that someone 18 or older needs to be there. I tell them I am not going to waist more of my time waiting for their tech. They can leave it at the front door like they did the two boxes they left a few days prior. They tell me they can't do that a tech would have to come out. I told them I would leave the useless box on the front step and they can come get it. They tell me they can't do that. Now I had a cable run through my back yard and not buried one day with no one at my house. My cable was cut prior to Christmas and after about a week they sent a tech out to work on other but didn't fix it. They had to send another person a few days later. With this most recent issue I did all they told me to do and I realize this may sound like a Karin moment but I have been reasonable. So I am asking what service providers do you all have. What services do you have. And if you don't mind my asking I would like to know about how much you pay a month. I am seriously considering changing services. Getting repair service from the Spectrum store in Wesley Chapel was a 5 star experience. If you need to resolve an issue with Spectrum services, go to a Spectrum store. Do not call any of their toll-free numbers. That will route you to a call center in India and all they will do is lie to you and try to sell you upgrades. I do not blame the call center as obviously it is the upper corporate management of Spectrum that has created this model. read more

I went in to get internet service as I was moving to a new home. I went in AFTER I already created my account and picked out my internet service. I went to this location ONLY TO PICK UP MY router and modem. The kid behind the counter told me "here I added this tv package, it's free for 30 days then $19.99. Just cancel if you don't want it after 30 days." I said no and he said ok. I get my first bill and guess what?!? It wasn't free and it was still on my bill!! I had to call to have it removed. I went into the store today to get assistance in switching my cell phones from AT&T to Spectrum. I made an appointment for 1:20 and arrived at 1:00 and was seen immediately. The techs were very friendly and helpful. They were able to get my phones switched over and activated. There was some5 delay in getting the data copied from my old phone but another tech came over and she fixed the issue. When I left both phones were working correctly. read more

Naturally on during the Christmas Eve fiasco a rep couldn't come out until after Christmas -understood...but when the system went out again on New Year's Day seriously....I have another provider scheduled. To make a long story short. In the photos you'll see my original quote from the Spectrum representative was $42,80 per month plus taxes and a $19.99 one time charge. That's for internet and TV essential. Good deal right? I was paying $49 per month with my previous company Frontier. The other two documents are an email and my first bill from Spectrum with all three reflecting different final numbers. One hand doesn't know what the other hand is doing. In a nutshell, Spectrum refused to honor the quote I was given. The problem is, I already switched everything over and canceled my Frontier service and sent back all of the equipment. After approximately 3 hours on the phone with several representatives from different departments and one customer service manager I was no further along then when I started. The list of excuses are as follows: * I can't change your bill. * There's nothing more I can do for you. *What do you want me to do? *We don't do that here, I'll have to transfer you. * The last department you spoke to does that we don't. *What company gave you that quote? *I don't have that information in front of me. *Did you call your sales person back? * You'll have to go to the Spectrum store, they'll be able to take care of that, I can't ...... So I went to the Spectrum store at The Grove at 6:30 in the evening and it was like watching clowns run a Chinese fire-drill around a tiny car. They employees were talking, joking and having a great time while the customers somewhat patiently waited to get just an inkling of attention from anyone who would acknowledge their existence. Needless to say, when I was finally called up, I laid down my paperwork and explained everything again in detail for the 25000th time that evening only to be looked at, dumbfounded, as if I had a horn growing out of the top of my head and the associate said to me, "what do you want me to do?" I was stunned, it was as if I never said anything to him. This ended up getting me nowhere so I went back home and called (Spectrum Customer Solutions Retention). There is no direct number but you can ask for them. They are the ones you talk to when you're dropping your service. You know, the ones that beg you to stay? For me to keep my cost close to what I had previously with Frontier, I had to drop the spectrum TV essentials and drop down to 300 mbps. Basically, SPECTRUM TOTALLY RENEGED ON THEIR AGREEMENT . Their customer service is horrible, it took two different technicians to finally figure out how to connect up my system. The billing department doesn't know left from right and I have a feeling this is just the beginning of my problems as long as I stay with Spectrum. I called the customer support center to cancel my services & was advised it would be best to go to a Spectrum store to return equipment and cancel account to avoid an equip return fee outstanding and rushing me to return them. She scheduled a 12 PM apt at the 6013 Wesley Grove Blvd location and advised no worries if I run late. I missed the 12 PM but went at 7:40 PM same day to return. The gentleman there said he cannot take the equipment as the acct is greyed out, because it was not yet activated. I told him I had trouble finding a connection so I could not active the service. He said something along the lines of "welllll then I can't take it"- very nonchalantly. I told him what the call center agent said and he laughed telling me he doesn't know why they said that and that I need to call them to cancel, then come back to return. Not only was I being told 2 diff things, but my time and gas was wasted driving 16 miles there and 16 back with the problem unresolved. The gentleman at the store was nonchalant and passive aggressive about the whole thing which made it worst. I probably wouldn't be so mad about being misinformed if he was apologetic and informative. Why would she set an apt to cancel and return at the store if it was not an option? I don't think she lied- WHY DO YOU HAVE A JOB if you cannot service customer returns and cancellations at once? Spectrum must be wasting money on brick and mortar if all we need is to call the center to cancel and return at a UPS store no hassle. I called the center the next day and a nice young lady apologized and advised I can simply take it to a UPS store, no label needed and transferred me to billing to cancel my services. The short to avg height and average build white male at the store can provide better customer service help to people and be nicer. read more

Horrible customer service. An employee, Jason, was incredibly disrespectful and rude. When I told him so, he used the excuse that there were a lot of people in the store. His job is treat all customers with respect and common courtesy, no matter how many people are in the store. There were only two employees working and about fifteen customers - hire more employees to serve the customers. But don't take your frustration out on the customer. Having customers perform the equipment swap was obviously a financial decision but is horrible customer service decision. Not only do customers have to swap the equipment out but also return the old equipment. I my case this took significant time due to many issues encounter (e.g., heavy furniture and difficult access, new electrical cords required and trip to Best Buy, poor communication and instructions). The equipment just showed up prior to any communication. Internet streaming is now slower and often buffering. When I went to the store to return the equipment there was also an irrate customer complaning about poor service and requesting refunds for outtages. Spectrum is not recommended. My next step is to look into an alternative cable provider. read more

If I could give less than 1 star I would. Terrible service. Sometimes it receives a signal. Sometimes it doesn't. And when it doesn't, and you call customer care, it'll take 20-30 mins to get it up and running again. We've had the service for over a year. We've had them out 3 times and called service more than 5 times. If there was a better cable company we'd try them. These guys are aweful. read more

Plenty of computer on The counters to help others who come for simple issues like pick ups. After 15 minutes waiting I decided to leave. They don't care. It is not their business. I have health issues that prevents me from doing that and they refused to wait on me as a customer even though I was willing to stand more than 6 feet away. On Saturday December 24, 2022 at 2:40pm, my 2 teenagers and I went to the Spectrum store in Wesley Chapel at the Grove to switch over our cellular service from Verizon to Spectrum and to purchase 3 new phones for Christmas. When we entered the store there were no customers and there were about 8 employees there behind the counter, some sitting, some standing, some socializing. ABSOLUTELY NO ONE greeted us and NO ONE asked if they could help us!They all just went about the nothing they were doing. So here my family and I are just awkwardly standing there and I finally I had to ask can I get some assistance please. One employee (who I later found out was the manager) finally decided to help us. He was rude and abrupt and not helpful at all as he reluctantly showed us the selection of phones as if we interrupted their day. He then turned us over to another employee who was not able to access my account for some technical reason. After still waiting for at least 20-30 minutes while they went back and forth on the phone with corporate technical support they told me that there was an issue with my account that could not be corrected until Monday. Before I left with nothing, I asked to speak to the manager again and I let him know how disappointed and upset we were. After I brought to his attention the fact that no one greeted us or asked if they could help, including himself, he agreed and acknowledged that was true, but he did not offer any apologies for the behavior we experienced there. I have been a Spectrum customer for many many years. After leaving the location that day empty handed we drove directly to Verizon across from the outlet mall and got great service and 3 new phones!Needless to say, we were extremely disappointed in the lack of service we received from the employees at Spectrum at The Grove and did not feel that they deserved to be rewarded by us switching our service and buying phones for their poor service. That store lost 3 sales for phones and a new cellular account thanks to all the employees that were on shift at the time. read more
