The price is good, staff was friendly. It was surprising to see a posted sign that read; this shop cannot be held responsible for such damage should it occur. Also that the of test may cause potential damage to your vehicle. I asked about using a coupon and while it was honored the management did not seem happy I wished to use it. Well it was a great price for the smog. I got the $36 deal. But the guy at the front desk was really rude. I was filling out my paperwork and he snatched it from me and said forget it I'll do it. And then when the smog was done he told me they tried multiple times to close the hood of my car and it wouldn't secure. I lifted the hood, moved the bar that holds it up back into place and it closed. Like seriously? Good price but I wouldn't go back. read more

I missed it the first time I drove by, but turned around and found it. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. The owner is very nice and knows his stuff (I forgot to ask his name). Like most people, printed the inexpensive "Groupon" for this place and find out you get what you pay for. They "Failed" me bc the dip stick handle was broken. Really! It was broken from years and took it here two years ago and it passed. SO I went to three automotive places and called the dealership to verify if my vehicle should received a "Fail" and they laughed. They never heard of a smog check failing bc of the dip stick handle breaking off. The tech explained how this place is a "Star Certified" and he doesn't want to lose his license. There was no oil leak from any part of my car and no other issues yet the tech tells me to come back in 30 days after it's fixed. Wrong answer. Found a new dip stick that night and went in very next morning. The vehicle wasn't connected to the machine and miraculous the vehicle "Passed". The techs are NOT knowledgeable or friendly and the owner is oblivious! Please go to a trusted place and pay a little more. Not worth the hassle! read more

We took one of our cars here today for its smog check. At other places we've gone it's usually hours before they have it done. We were promised the car in about 30 minutes. We took off anyway to go to the grocery store and were back in about 50 minutes. The car was sitting there waiting for us. Great service and truly a "Speed E Smog" check. Our other car is due next month. We'll be back. Price was reasonable especially with a coupon from the Pennysaver. read more

Horrible experience. Don't go here! It is my first time getting this car smogged. It is a 2001 Audi TT and I have had it for a little more than a year. The previous owner of this car was my dad who had never had a problem getting it smogged. I bought a groupon for this place. And when I first arrived, the older man at the window was very rude and not exactly clear in what he was asking for. He asked for my smog paper and I wasn't sure what he was talking about. He proceeded to describe it to me saying I should always have it in my car and made me feel pretty dumb. I realized he meant registration. So I went and got that for him. They checked my car and the technician told me there was a hose connecting to my air box that was tampered with and that it needed to be replaced. He commented on my car saying it was really nice but it would probably be expensive to fix. So I got a new air box, new hose and came back in less than a week. My mechanic misplaced my smog paperwork so I did not have it with me. I told the same older gentleman at the front that I was there last week and that he redeemed my groupon and again, he was so rude. He said he couldn't help me without my paper work and there was nothing he could do. I know businesses keep paper trails and electronic copies of these things. At this point I probably looked like I was about to cry because I spent so much money on fixing the issue they told me I had and he didn't want to help me. He went back to get another guy, the same smog technician, his name is Chris. He said he remembered my car and said he would look at it. He told me since it just came from the shop, I would have to drive it for 50-100 miles. So I did and brought it back immediately. He plugged the monitor into the car and said it still was not passing on one thing. He said to bring it back the next day and if it passed on his monitor, he would pass the car. Chris was really nice and really tried to help me out. The one star on this review goes to him alone. Unfortunately, the next day my check engine light came on again. So I went back to my mechanic, got it fixed and drove around again and brought it back today. It was a different set of people. A younger guy and a different smog technician. I had to go through the whole process explaining my situation. They too did not have very good customer service skills and I felt like I was a nuisance to them. The younger guy was on the phone majority of the time after I got there, probably talking to the rude older gentleman that I first dealt with, speaking in a different language. The only thing I understood was "audi." The technician came back and gave me a list of things I needed to fix before they could pass it. What was not an issue before all of a sudden needed to be replaced... I'm so annoyed. I am not planning on coming back. They were rude and apparently did not give me all information I needed the first time. read more

My experience with Speed E Smog was very unsatisfactory. I came in with a Groupon on a Saturday to have a 91 Cadillac smogged but was told the machine for the older models was broken and would not be repaired until the following week. Even though they could not smog my vehicle that day, the clerk at the counter marked my Groupon as redeemed. Groupon subsequently reversed this. The following Tuesday I called to see if the machine was repaired. They said yes bring your car in and we will smog it. However when I arrived and presented my Groupon I was told the machine had just broken down again within the last 10 minutes and they would not be able to smog my vehicle. I do not think the owner wanted to honor the Groupon. I ended up having my car smogged at a more reliable smog station even though it cost me more. I do not recommend doing business with this unscrupulous merchant. They are not friendly and do not seem to care about quality customer service. read more
