First off, I am wondering if the rude guy is gone. I stopped by on my way home from work to get my car smogged. There was one other customer ahead of me but I was literally in and out in 15 minutes, maybe even less. I was expecting to pay about $65 plus a certificate fee but it was under $50. Justin was polite, funny and very friendly so I am wondering if the rude mechanic is gone. I would recommend and refer my friends and family to get their cars smogged here. I would have given better rating if not for the issue i had. Honestly, the price was great, the speed of the test is great. My only problem was that he was the only dude checking people in and that created a situation where i was clearly the 2nd dude in line and i got skipped by 3 people because there was no clear "check in" system as he was by himself and trying to do both smog check and client check in. read more

First Philip Nobary was very Friendly and Professional. He asked if my Battery or Check Engine light had been disengaged recently because if they had He wouldn't be able to Smog My Truck. both would have Reset my onboard Computer to no Data. I had taken it to My regular Repair Shop( Kniesel's )to have the Smog check done by Appointment and after 40 minutes they came out and said there's no Data on your Onboard Computer, never asked the Question that Philip Asked, like I'm suppose to Know the inner workings of the Motor. So they said you need to put at least 250 miles on it so we have some Data and bring it back for the Test, then they Charged me $50 for the Service. I asked if I would get Credit for this Visit and was told No. It would be $58.25 for a retest. Now Philip Welcomed Me to His Store, and asked Me That Important Question that the other Shop Did Not. He did the Smog Test and My Truck Passed in about 25 minutes and then He said since You already Paid the other shop I'm going to Give You a $10 Discount. After I got there they told me the Groupon wasn't valid until 24 hours after buying it (not true), so I had to pay full price in addition to the cost of the Groupon. $90 for a smog check I could have gotten elsewhere for $35. read more

Absolutely splendid service. I was running late and needed a good place to smog me quickly, and I found this place on Yelp. I noticed they had a great groupon deal going so I bought that immediately. I went in there and was immediately greeted and helped. In fact, while the person that was helping me was moving my car, another employee came by to ask if I had been helped. Wow! They are open on Sunday, until 6! A very polite mechanic gave me an appointment I took it in and in 10 minutes the smog was done and I was on the way. Plus, I used the coupon on Yelp and got the $89 service fee for $36 and you can pay with your credit card then at the spot and then I gave him a tip because I couldn't believe how well and how fast it was done. I do have to deduct a point for him getting grease all over my floor mat on the driver side. I suppose that's a small price to pay for the really fast very well done service. read more

This is the second time I've been here and each time they have been nice and friendly. When they say 15-20 min, they mean it. It was a cold day, but they had a heater to keep you warm. I walked in and the guy at the counter tried to charge me $98 for a smog. I told him that was a lot of money for a smog then said he'd give a discount of $10. I grabbed my keys and started to walk away cause the guy down the street charges $25 for the same thing. The man behind the counter refused to match the price and was extremely rude and unprofessional to both my wife and I. STAY AWAY!!! Went here because I had a coupon in the mail and it was only 3 minutes away. I walked in, and the wait time wasnt long at all. After waiting for the 2 people in front of me the man at the counter took my keys and was done in around 10 min. When he came back he let me know that the air intake I had installed did not have a certain sticker(with some verification number). He then told me I would have to get the sticker then pay to have my car smogged again. Most places have a policy where if you fail smog (even though I passed) you can get it smogged again for free within 30 days. When i asked about this the man told me that since i used a coupon that did not apply to me. I then asked if I could have someone bring me the sticker from home and he said it was too late because he already put it into the system. I asked if I could speak to the owner but the owner was not present. The smog was quick and the man at the counter was very nice, however I only give 1 star due to the fact that I had to pay to get my vehicle smogged twice, because of a sticker I did not know I needed. I got it fixed and the mechanic told me i had to take it to a star certified smog check place. I picked up the car before class and was planning on taking it to get smogged right after. I saw this business on Groupon and since I had a car that needed to be smogged for registration, I purchased the Groupon. This quickly became a nightmare. I drove to the shop to find a note on the door saying that the shop was closed because they were having computer problems. I called the next day to see if they were back up and running and was told that they were so I drove back to the shop. When I arrived, I was told that the computers had gone back down and they offered to take my name and number to call me when the computers came back up and they were open again. I never got a call. I called again and went back once they told me they were open. I brought my phone with my Groupon app on it and when I told them that I had a Groupon and handed them my phone, I was told that the Groupon had to be printed out for them to take it. What a JOKE!!!! So, I then went home, printed the Groupon and went back the next day. Finally, the smog has been performed. I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN!! I would much rather pay more and know that I will only have to make one trip to the shop. My time is more valuable than saving a couple bucks. read more

I went there to have a smog and he told me it didnt passed but i went to my friend mechanic who owned a shop to get a second opinion he said everyhing passed. He's cheating to make money I told him I went to my friend mechanic and I want my refund he said he's not going to give me a refund he will do retest and and asking me to make another pymt I said i dont trust him anymore don't touch my car. I brought my 2012 Impreza in for a smog test expecting it to pass. My car failed because the check engine and traction lights were on...These lights had never been on before. They only came on when the technician initiated the test. When I mentioned this to the tech, he merely shrugged his shoulders and asked me to pay. When I continued to ask if his test could have tripped those indicators, he shrugged again and said I could bring my car back when the issue was fixed. Well, there was no issue and my car passed immediately at another shop. I found the service to be sub-standard and the tech to be completely unhelpful, esp. in light of the fact that he must have made a mistake. I will never use Speedee again and will advise others against doing so, as well. read more
