At the time they also wanted to do my furnace I told them no which my furnace was still good for another couple years and then they came back changed a part on it saving me a little money but the. He and his son showed up and i described the issue (AC was blowing warm air but was working fine just a few months ago). His son checked my compressor capacitor, and just as he had said, it turned out to be the issue! They were able to quickly replace the capacitor and got my AC back up and running in under 30 minutes. Gave them a call and Mike the owner set up a time that day to check out what the problem was. Jesse came by that same day to check it out, and we went through all the test including refrigerant, condenser, contact board, and checking the coils in attic. None of the test looked too good, and the outside unit was definitely leaking refrigerant. In the end we decided to change out the entire ac unit as well as the coils in the attic. The price was fair, and they were here early morning next day. Their hard working team of 3 worked most of the day putting in the new unit, and by mid afternoon we had AC again. We had contacted a local company and, while the quote and scope seemed adequate, the plan for condenser placement was not great and I had sticker shock. So I went to YELP and found JL Martin. I am so glad I did! Jared toured the home, and came up with a great plan for a new system and was able to come in around 3K less that the previous company. I appreciated the 'out of box' thinking! This included working with the city permit process as well. The biggest hold up was actually the city acknowledging and passing the plan. Once that happened the JL Martin team scheduled quickly and the install was completed in under a day. The install team was incredibly respectful, explained everything that they were doing, and took great pains to be as unobtrusive as possible. They gave me the guidance on what to expect with the state inspection and city, made sure I understood what the filter requirements would be in the future and the city signed off within 10 days of install.
